Elizabeth was in Brooklyn's arms as the Trio flew on patrol with Goliath. Brookly and Elizabeth had joined the others after a movie night. They were heading back towards the Clock Tower.
"Its a quiet night." Goliath said.
"Guess again." Brooklyn said. Elizabeth looked down to see the Pack ship sitting on a roof. "You're not gonna believe who crawled out of hiding."
"The Pack! I've been waiting for a shot at them." Lexington said.
"Don't lose the element of surprise. They are formidable opponents." Goliath said as the Gargoyles dove towards the roof.
"I still need that rematch with Hyena." Elizabeth said as they got close to the roof.
"Well your about to get your chance." Brooklyn said. Lexington landed on ledge as Hyena came onto the ledge first. Brooklyn dropped Elizabeth off on roof and flew up.
"This will keep us on top of the most wanted list." Hyena said. Lexington hit her with his tail
"Should've remembered your atm card, Hyena." Lexington said, eyes glowing. Jackal tackled Lexington and held a knife to him.
"Didn't you ever learn not to bother people at work." Jackal said. Broadway flew at Jackal and punched him off Lexington. Hyena stood up and Elizabeth tackled her to the ground.
"YOU!" Hyena said, aiming a scratch at her face. Elizabeth grabbed her hand.
"Not today." Elizabeth said. Hyena kicked Elizabeth off and Brooklyn caught her in air and set her back down. Dingo was taking shots at Lexington who ran. Goliath picked him up and let him go when they got good air as Hyena and Elizabeth circled each other. Brooklyn flew at Dingo as he took shot, breaking a metal pole off.
"Just save the big one for me." Wolf said. Brooklyn flew at Dingo and knocked the gun out of Dingo's hand. Hyena ran and Elizabeth and she grabbed her arms and Hyena and her struggled in a arm fight. Wolf knocked Brooklyn to the ground as he goes to attack Dingo as he gets up. Broadway roared as he went after Dingo. He scratched Dingo in the chest and Dingo rolls out of the way. Jackal pulls out a gun and shoots it at Broadway bringing him to his knees. Jackal looks shocked as Broadway stands up, eyes glowing and flies at Jackal. Hyena kicks Elizabeth in the stomach. Elizabeth grunts and falls to the ground. Broadway sends Jackal flying into the copper. Hyena runs to him as Elizabeth catches her breath. Lexington tackles Hyenna to the ground and they roll. Brooklyn walks towards Elizabeth and falls with Wolf right behind him. Elizabeth runs towards Brooklyn as Goliath flies behind Wolf as he goes to attack Brooklyn and sends him flying. Dingo helps Wolf up and pulls out a metal object.
"If we take out Goliath, this fight is ours." Dingo said.
"Now you're talking." Wolf said. Goliath and Elizabeth help Brooklyn up. Dingo tosses the metal piece hitting Goliath in the back sending electricity through him.
"NO!" Elizabeth shouted. Brooklyn pulls Elizabeth out of the way as Broadway and Lexinton turn at Elizabeth's shout and looked on in shock as Goliath falls to the ground. Elizabeth was in tears as Brooklyn held onto her as the electricty diappears from Goliath. Brooklyn and Elizabeth run to Goliath as the Pack runs towards the plane. Elizabeth put her hands on the Leader as Lexington and Broadway run over.
"This isn't over." Elizabeth looked up as Wolf shouted as they run into the plane and the hatch closes and the plane takes off.
"He's unconsious." Elizabeth said, looking at Brooklyn.
"We can't just let them get away!" Lexington said.
"Helping Goliath is more important." Brooklyn said.
"He's right. Let's get him back to the clock tower." Elizabeth said. Broadway picked up Goliath and took off as Brooklyn picked up Elizabeth and they flew after Broadway back to the clock tower.
Back in the clock Tower. Hudson wrapped Goliath with wrappings and helped him sit in the chair. Elizabeth stood with the Trio as they watch in worry.
"Next time you may not be so lucky. I don't like to think this way, but it's time you chose a second in command." Hudson said. Elizabeth realized that Demona was Goliath's last second in command and he never picked another one. "Someone to take your place if the worst happens." Hudson rests a hand on Goliath's chest.
"If... One day I cannot lead... You shall, my friend." Goliath said, taking Hudson's hand. Hudson shook his head.
"You were my second and I passed the job to you. There's no point in going backwards. Not when you have three hearty young warriors to choose from." Hudson said, nodding to the Trio. The trio straightened up with smiles on their faces. Elizabeth had a feelign the three were gonna compete for the title of second in command. "And choose you must." Goliath nodded.
"I need time to think and decide." Goliath said. The Gargoyles nodded as they head to balcony. Brooklyn kissed Elizabeth and jumped onto his perch and turned to stone with the others. Elizabeth hoped Goliath chose soon.
A month later. Elizabeth stood leaning against the wall. The trio were fighting again on how to be a leader. It was going on a month straight with competing to the point Elizabeth took extra shifts so she didn't go on patrol and listen to the trio bicker. Goliath still hadn't decided who his second in command was.
"Ah, time for the nightly demonstration of my leadership skills." Lexington said, pointing to his chest. Elizabeth rubbed her temple. "Speed is the key." Broadway and Brooklyn walk up to him.
"Slow and steady wins the race." Broadway said.
"Well, maybe so. I believe it's fast and steady who stopped the most criminals this month." Brooklyn said. Bronx let out a moan and growl from listening. "Coming with, Liz?"
"I got a essay due end of this week and want to get it done." Elizabeth said. Brooklyn nods and him and his brothers take off. Hudson and Goliath joined Elizabeth and Bronx.
"Goliath. You need to decide soon. I'm getting a migrane listening to them." Elizabeth said, turning to look at Goliath.
"She's right, lad. You can't put off the decision on a second in command forever." Hudson said. Goliath sighed, knowing they were right.
"Yes I know." Goliath said. Elisa came up and the Gargoyles and Elizabeth turned.
"Our swat team's got the pack pinned down in an abandoned building." Elisa said.
"I knew the pack would not stay hidden. We must summon the others." Goliath said.
"No time. It's all going down now." Elisa said.
"Then let's go." Elizabeth said. Goliath picked up Elisa and Elizabeth with both arms as Hudson picked up Bronx and they took off towards the building. The Gargoyles land on a building that was being made. They saw the police surround the abandoned building.
One of the police shoots a tear gas through a window. An explosion comes and more and the building falls to the ground.
"Avalon." Elizabeth said.
"Tear gas doesn't cause that kind of explosion." Elisa said.
"You win a gold star, Detective." Xanatos voice came. Elizabeth looked up to see the robot head of Xanatos with half robot haft mask floating in the air on a flying device. Elizabeth groaned. Now what was going on.
"What manner of trickery is this?" Goliath asked.
"As you may have surmised that explosion was just for the tourists. The real action's right up here." Xanatos said, flying up to Goliath. Goliath tries to grab him but he flies out of the way. Elizabeth tries to hit it when it flies by her and he moves. "To slow." Elizabeth sighed as Bronx growled. Hudson tried to stab it with his sword but Xanatos flies out of the way. A full metal robot flies down and lands in front of them. He looked like an animal. He walks towards them and stops.
"G'day mates." Dingo's voice came. Elizabeth and Elisa gasped as Elizabeth's hand went to the handle of her gun. Robotic sounds came from behind and they turn to see Jackal, who was half robot, half human moving over a box. He jumps down and runs at them.
"Avalon." Elizabeth whispered.
"What's the matter? Never seen a cybernetic Jackal before?" Jackal asked, smiling evily. Hyena's crackled filled the air as she jumped over the rafters nails digging into the metal. She like was like her brother. Half and half. A box came flying Goliath pulls the girls out of the way. Elizabeth pulled her gun out as they looked at the new Pack. Wolf jumps down and Elizabeth realized he now looked animal not human.
"I'm gonna have to have a talk with my brother over this." Elizabeth said, looking at the new Pack as they surround the Gargoyles and the girls. Goliath held Elisa as Elizabeth had a hand on Bronx's back as they looked at their enemies.
"Even the Archmage's sorcery brewed no creatures like this." Hudson said.
"We defeated them before." Goliath said.
"Not the new upgraded models." Hyena said, flexing her claws. She jumped up to the rafters. Goliath sent Elisa rolling and Elizabeth and Elisa took aim as Hyenna jumped from rafter to rafter.
"Elisa, Liz." Goliath said, going after the girls to help. Dingo grabs his arm. Goliath goes to punch and roars in pain when he hits metal. Hyena comes behind Elisa and kicks her to the ground.
"Elisa!" Elizabeth said as Hyena turns on her. Dingo shoots some beam at Goliath hitting him in the chest sending him into Wolf's arms. Wolf and Goliath wrestled. Hyena runs at Elizabeth as she takes shots at Hyena. Hyena jumps behind Elizabeth and when she goes to turn Hyena kicks her in the head knocking her to the ground, unconsious next to Elisa. Wolf picks up Goliath and throws him across the floor. Hudson tackles Wolf to the ground and pins him. Xanatos head flies over Goliath.
"That's the source of the trouble." Goliath said.
"Follow it! I'll take care of this forest demon." Hudson said, punching Wolf in the face. Goliath climbs one of the pillars. Jackal swings around one of the pillars as Bronx corners him.
"Round and round Jackal goes. Where he stops... Only he knows." Jackal said. He jumps at Bronx and kicks him to the ground. Bronx gets up and grabs Jackal by the arm and knocks him to the ground, chewing on the metal arm. He rips the arm off and runs with it. Jackal sits up and smirks. The hand moves and Bronx drops it. The arm walks with its fingers back up to Jackal. Bronx looks confused on what was going on. Jackal picks up the hand and puts it back on his body. Bronx looked shocked as Jackal runs up to him and punches him, knocking him out. Wolf got full advantage of Hudson and knocks him out.
Dingo groans as he takes off his helmet as Jackal moves Bronx over to the girls. Wolf carries Hudson over and dumps the Old Gargoyle down behind the girls. Hudson groans in pain. Dingo looks at Wolf.
"I hope you're not planning to eat your catch." Dingo said.
"Now that I'm in charge, I'm not taking any more of your cracks." Wolf said.
Goliath looked around for Xanatos. He didn't see Coyote in a new suit hiding in the shadows. Coyote stands up and comes behind Goliath.
"Ah, Goliath. I'd like you to meet my better half." Coyote said.
Back to the others.
"You're not our leader, Wolf. You're barely our species!" Dingo said. He shook his head. "I still can't believe what you three did to yourselves." Wolf came up to him.
"We did what you were afraid to. And we agreed whoever bagged the biggest Gargoyle would lead the pack." Wolf growled. Hyena and Jackal nodded behind Wolf. Goliath came flying through the ceiling and landed in front of the Pack. The Pack looked shocked as Coyote flew through the hole and landed on the ground.
"Sorry, Wolf. But I think my Goliath tops your Hudson." Coyote said. Wolf didn't look happy.
"Oh, Coyote, Honey. Is that you?" Hyena asked.
"Hit the road, sparky. I'm in charge here." Wolf said, pointing at himself. Hyena asked.
"Oh, really? I didn't see you take out Goliath." Hyena said.
"You're not siding with this... Glorified toaster oven?" Jackal asked, pointing at Coyote as Wolf crossed his arms.
"I find him very attractive." Hyenna said.
"Well, that's sicker than usual." Jackal said, rolling his one eye. He turns to Wolf. "Ok, hairball. I'm with you."
"What a choice. A robot who thinks he's human or a hman who's gone to the dogs." Dingo said. He walks up to Coyote. "So what's your next move... Boss?"
Back at the clocktower. The trio return from patrol. Lexington was the last to arrive. Brooklyn was waiting for him at the top of the stairs. Lexington stretched.
"Ah, not a bad night. Two muggings broken up." Lexington said as him and Brooklyn walked down the steps.
"One mugging and one burglar, who's considering new career options." Brooklyn said with a smirk. Broadway was sitting in Hudson's chair, snacking and watching tv and the other two jumped down to the floor.
"Three muggings and an armed robbery. Just have to know where to look." Broadway said as Lexington and Brooklyn came up to Broadway.
"It's about time Goliath told us his choice for second in command." Lexington said.
"Yeah." Brooklyn said. He realized Goliath wasn't there along with Liz. "Hey, where is Goliath and Liz?"
"And Hudson?" Broadway asked, standing up. "I was just keeping his chair warm."
"And Bronx." Brooklyn said. He realized something. "Hey, if they lugged Bronx along the situation's got to be serious." The other two nodded in agreement. Brooklyn was getting worried. The others weren't back yet and he worried for Elizabeth's safety.
To the Pack. The Gargoyles and the Girls were put in glass tubes with gas around them, keeping them knocked out. Wolf stood with hands pressed against the glass of Goliath's looking in at him. He growled.
"Goliath is mine." Wolf growled.
"All in good time, Wolf." Wolf turned to look at Coyote who was working on some technology. "It's 3 a.m. We'll release their pet at 4:30."
"Just before sunrise." Hyena said with an evil smirk as she walks up to Coyote and touches his arm. "We follow him home and smah the rest where they roost." Hyena laughs evily.
"Persisely." Coyote said. Hyena turned and walked over to Elizabeth's tube.
"Can't argue with logic like that." Dingo said, looking at Wolf. Hyena ran her fingers down the tube where Elizabeth was.
"I like to have a piece of her. She keeps beating me every fight." Hyena said.
"My orders are not to harm Elizabeth and bring her back to her brother in one piece." Coyote said. Hyena pouted.
"That ruins my fun." Hyena said, walking away, arms crossed. Wolf growls.
Back to the Colocktower. Brooklyn was getting more worried. It was getting close to sunset and the others weren't back yet. He was in by the tv flipping for the news as Lexington and Broadway sat outside.
"If I was leader, I'd make sure that my clan knew where I was at all times." Lexington said. Broadway picked at his ear. Brooklyn rolled his eyes at his brothers as he finally got to the news channel.
"If you were leader, I'd be somewhere else at all times." Broadway said. The news came up about the Pack. Brooklyn's eyes widen.
"Guys! Guy! Check this out!" Brooklyn called to his brothers. Broadway and Lexington ran down to Brooklyn and joined him in front of the TV.
"The fire was quickly contained as police had earlier recieved a tip that former television stars The Pack, now wanted felons, were inside." The Tv shows the building that was on fire.
"So the Pack is back." Brooklyn said, pointing at the telivision.
"Goliath, Hudson, and Liz must have gone after them." Broadway said.
"Let's go!" Lexington said. The Trio runs to the stairs.
"This is a paid commercial message." Fox's voice came on the television. The Trio froze. Brooklyn wondered why Fox was now on the television.
"Wait that voice. Its Fox!" Lexington said turning towards the TV. Brooklyn turned with his brothers.
"Tired of walking down Lexington avenue?" Fox asked. They showed Lexington Avenue on the television. "Sick of taking that long bus ride up Broadway?" They showed Broadway on the TV. "Fed up with Bumper-to-bumper all the way to Brooklyn?" Busy street of Brooklyn was showed next.
"She's talking to us." Brooklyn said, rubbing his temple. He was gonna have to talk to Liz about what Fox was doing. The Tv showed the trains and a building where the trains were going in.
"Don't Pack it in. Take the train." Fox said.
"She wants us there, wher the tracks cross." Brooklyn said. He had a feeling they go there they would find the others.
"I know that spot." Lexington said.
"It's gonna be a trap." Broadway said.
"Goliath, Hudson, and Liz might be in danger. Do we have any choice?" Brooklyn asked. Lexington and Broadway realized he was right.
Back to the pack. Bronx laid on the ground after they get him out of the tube and Coyote put a tracking collar around his neck. Wolf looked at Goliath.
"I say forget the flea collar and finish off the Gargoyles now!" Wolf said. He punches one of the tubes causing it to crack.
"Just follow the leader, Wolf. His idea is a good one." Hyena said as her and Jackal sat at the table playing cards using thier new robot parts to grab cards as they played.
"A sight than trading in pieces of your own body like used car parts." Dingo said. Hyena put down the cards and crossed her arms.
"What's your problem?" Hyena asked, glaring at Dingo.
"I'm a partner in a freak show." Dingo grumbled. The trio popped their heads in and gasped softly when they saw the sight of the Pack. Brooklyn saw that their friends were being held in tubes. He sighed in relief seeing them safe for now.
"Whoa! That's not the pack I remember." Broadway said.
"Who cares? Let's go get 'em!" Lexington said, jumping to attack.
"Wait!" Brooklyn said, grabbing Lexington by the tail and pulls him back. "They were powerful enough to trap Goliath."
"You may be afraid to fight without Goliath. I'm not." Lexington said, pointing at himself.
"Me neither." Broadway said. Now Brooklyn understood why Elizabeth wouldn't go on patrol with them anymore till Goliath made his decision. She was getting tired of their fighting.
"Guys, we won't get two chances at this! I have a plan." Brooklyn said. Brooklyn explained his plan to the others."Let's go." Brooklyn grabbed a beam and lets out a yell as he jumps down and dropped the beam on Dingo. Brooklyn flew over him and circled the pack and out the window with Wolf and Jackal right behind him.
"Finally, some action." Wolf said. He jumps up and out the window with Jackal jumping after him.
"Wolf, Jackal. Make them come to you!" Coyote shouted. Dingo pushes the beam off him. Dingo and Hyena ran after them with Coyote right behind them. Dingo stops Hyena.
"We'd better hang together or we'll hang separately." Dingo said. Lexington runs to the powerbox and rips the power box right off. It cuts power to the whole building. Dingo reaches back, looking for his helmet, but couldn't find it on the table. He turns to look for it and saw Broadway standing there holding the helmet.
"Lookign for this?" Broadway asked with a smile. He throws the helmet to the glass tubes. It hits the tubes breaking them all and sending gas into the building. Dingo and Hyena were coughing from the gas. Broadway runs towars his friends Elizabeth sat up clutching her head as the others sat up struggling to get up. Broadway ran towards them. "Goliath, Liz, Elisa, Hudson. You all..." Coyote meets him and sends him flying.
"Broadway!" Elizabeth yelled. Lexington circled around Hyenna and Dingo. Hyena held up her hand and the finger fold back to reveal a blaster. She shoots up at Lexinton and sends blasts through the roof. Dingo flies up to go after Lexington, who moves out of the way and Dingo goes through the roof and gets stuck. Dingo struggles and then uses blasters to blast himself out of the roof, letting out a yell.
Lexington avoids another shot and flies through the hole and onto the roof. He runs across the roof. Hyena jumps up on the roof after him and runs after him.
Outside. Brooklyn lands on the the tracks and faces Wolf as he walks towards him. He picks up a beam and aims it at Brooklyn. Brooklyn dodges an attack and jumps backwards away from Wolf. He turns and gasps when he sees Jackal behind him.
"Going somewhere." Jackal said, smirking. Wolf took advantage of Brooklyn's distraction and hit him with the beam sending him flying.
"No he's not." Wolf said.
Broadway hits the gound and jumps to his feet as Coyote approaches him. Broadway goes to punch and Coyote grabs his arm and lifts him up in the air.
"That's not much of a punch." Coyote said. He squeezes Broadway's hand. Broadway let's out a yell. Broadway goes to break loose but Bronx comes running and knocks Coyote to the ground. Elizabeth had gotten the collar off of him and went to see if she could help Brooklyn. Bronx was knocked off Coyote.
Hyena was standing on the roof shooting at Lexington as he flew around.
"I wonder if Gargoyles taste like chicken." Hyena said, laughing. She blasts Lexington as he lands and ran for it as she continues shooting at him. Dingo flies down and picks up Lexington and flies. Lexington brings his feet up, grabbing Dingo by the head. He sends Dingo flying into the roof.
Bronx jumps at Coyote, but Coyote grabs him and stands up.
"Time to put this puppy into orbit." Coyote said. A rail goes through Coyote as Goliath lifts him up. Bronx is dropped and Goliath sends Coyote flying into a wall. Hudson and Elisa jump from the platform.
Back on the roof. Hyena walked around looking for Lexington.
"I know your around here somewhere, you flying rat." Hyena said, walking past Lexinton. Lexington jumps on Hyena's back.
"That's Mister Flying Bat to you." Lexington said. Hyena brought her foot up and taps him with her boot. Lexington looked surprise. She brought her boot back and kicked Lexington off her. Lexington rubbed his head. He looks at Hyenna. She sperates her arms and legs from her body and gets on all fours to walk towards Lexington. Lexington yells and runs to the edge and jumps off the edge. Hyena jumps on him and goes along for the ride. Lexington glares at her as he flies trying to knock her off.
"Never liked thrill rides." Hyena said, lifting up one hand and made sure it was sharp. "They always end to soon." Lexington smirked as he saw Broadway waiting, fist ready to punch Hyena. Hyena saw and eyes widen. "Uh oh."
"Tickets please!" Broadway said, punching her in the face. Broadway and Lexington stood over Hyena as Broadway rubbed his fist. "Speed is the key." Lexington put a hand on his arm.
"Slow but steady, partner." Lexington said.
Elizabeth looked around for Brooklyn and gasped when she saw Jackal stepping down over an edge. Brooklyn was laying on the ground, but was getting up. Elizabeth jumped down and ran towards Jackal. He stretches out his body and goes to punch Brooklyn. Brooklyn breaks his arm off and eyes widen. Jackal grabs his arm back and puts it on. Before he could attack. Elizabeth tackles him to the ground.
"Liz!" Brooklyn said. Jackal got up and with Liz by the collar and sends her flying into Brooklyn, knocking him to the ground.
"Sorry." Elizabeth said as she got off Brooklyn and helped him up. They looked up to see Wolf approach the side as Jackal stood facing Brooklyn and Elizabeth. Hudson jumped on Wolf and moved him away from the young ones.
"Finish him and the girl, Jackal. If the old one's awake then so is Goliath!" Wolf said.
"What the heck happened to them?" Brooklyn asked.
"Let's just say I'm going to have a nice talk to my brother." Elizabeth said.
"But I haven't shown them all my accessories." Jackal said. He aims his hands and Brooklyn grabbed Elizabeth as he shoots his fingers at the two. Brooklyn and Elizabeth ducked as the fingers flew into the wall behind them.
"Avalon." Elizabeth said. Jackal's fingers grew back. He ran and used his hand to slice through the wall and gets stuck in a barrior. Elizabeth smirked as Brooklyn pulled her away as Jackal struggled to get free from the wall. Brooklyn ripped a board from the tracks, eyes glowing. He hits jackal knocking him to the ground. His hand hanging from the wall. They could hear Wolf struggling with Hudson. Elizbeth quickly climbed on Brooklyn's back as he went to climb the wall. He pops up and Wolf was jumping with Hudson still on his back, trying to get him off. Brooklyn jumped on the side and Elizabeth jumped off. Elizabeth gasped as if Wolf's face changed into an animal. Hudson pulls out his sword and Wolf knocks it off sending it flying towards the tracks. Elizabeth watched as it landed on the rail and electric ran through it. Wolf sends Hudson flying at Brooklyn and Elizabeth and hits the ground next to him.
"Never a silver bullet when you need one." Brooklyn said as Hudson stood up.
"Your going to need more than that." Wolf said, pointing at them. Hudson runs at him and Wolf punches him. Wolf grabs the sword and electricity runs through him. He yells in pain. Dingo gets out of the rubble and starts walking away.
"I shouldn've figured it was crazy to stick with this crew. After they went Frankenstein on me." Dingo said. Metal started going up and then Dingo was lifted up and brought to a big magnet. Elisa was at the controls of the crane.
"Here's a little pick me up, Dingo." Elisa said, smiling.
Goliath and Bronx run out of the building. Coyote was waiting and punched them, knocking them to the ground.
"I like being stronger than any of you." Coyote said approaching.
"But not stronger than all of us." Brooklyn's voice came. Coyote turned. Brooklyn with Elizabeth on his arm, Hudson, Broadway and Lexington land around Coyote and they start wrestling with him. Bronx jumped on him and Goliath came over and reached for the head. A cover went over the robots head. Elizabeth growled. Golaith grabs the cover and tries to pull it open. He pulls it open and rips the head out. He crushes it with his hands. He tosses the head aside. Coyote's body throws the Gargoyles and Elizabeth off it. Elizabeth hits the ground and looks up as Coyote stands up.
"Destroy. Destroy." Coyote yells as the Gargoyles stand up. Brooklyn helps Elizabeth up. Coyote turns and Goliath and Broadway send it flying into a coming train. As it stands, the train hits him and takes it with him. The arm lands on the rails and the Gargoyles approach.
"Woah. Remind me not to get hit by one of those." Brooklyn said.
"Good advice." Elisa said. She came over to the Gargoyles and Elizabeth. "But now you'd better go. That last train's sure to call this in." Elisa said.
"We'll just tie up some loose ends first." Goliath said. The Gargoyles tie up the Pack in the building and head back to the Clock Tower.
Back at the Clock Tower. Hudson, Broadway, and Brooklyn sat in the chairs. Lexington sat on Broadway's chair and Elizabeth sat on the arm of Brooklyn's chair. She was in her pajamas for the night. Goliath had wanted to talk to all of them. Goliath came up to them.
"I have something to say." Goliath said. They all looked at the leader. "As you know, I have been considering a second in command. I've had a choice in mind for weeks, but was concerned that to reveal it would drive a wedge between you, but you have each proven yourself to be worthy warriors and more importantly, an excellent fighting team especially with Liz." Elizabeth smiled. "I now see what I should've seen all along. That nothing can divide you." He puts a hand on Brooklyn's shoulder and Elizabeth's grin grew wide. "Brooklyn, my friend. Leadership is a heavy burden."
"Me?" Brooklyn said, not sure if he wanted to believe it. Elizabeth threw her arms around his neck and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her back.
"Congratulations, lad." Hudson said with a proud smile on his face.
"Yeah, that goes double for me." Lexington said.
"You deserve it. You'll make a fine leader." Elizabeth said, pressing a kiss to his beak. Broadway put a hand on Brooklyn's shoulder
"You deserve it buddy." Broadway said. Brooklyn groaned from pain in his shoulder. Elizabeth walked out on the balcony as the Gargoyles jumped on their perches.
"We'll celebrate tonight. Dinner and a movie." Elizabeth said. Brooklyn said.
"Sounds good to me. I'll see you at nightfall." Brooklyn said. He turns to the sun. He looks at Goliath.
"Uh... Goliath? Be careful, huh? I'm in no hurry to take your place." Brooklyn said. Goliath smiled as they turned to stone. Elizabeth grinned. She pulled out her phone and called Elisa.
"Hey Elisa. Goliath picked out his second in command." Elizabeth said, heading for the door.
"Who?" Elisa asked.
"Brooklyn." Elizabeth said, closing the door to the clock tower. She was happy Goliath finally chose.
