Choooo-chooooo

( I didn't know what to use :-P)

The train stopped with a jerk and suddenly the surrounding was filled with lots of chattering and babbling. I didn't mind as my excitement was over the top too! I saw so many red lines passing around.

I wore my backpack and held my suitcase and stepped out of the train! Yayyy finally I am in mumbai!

As soon as I step out , I see a couple holding hands ,their red lines interconnected , awww they are soulmates! How cute!

When I pass them , they give a thankful smile as I compliment them

"Cute couple"

I reached late night , so Acp sir already arranged an officer to pick and drop me to my temporary residence. Already tired , I felt relieved when I find a girl in police uniform looking at me with recognition. I believe she is the one who will assist me for now.

"Hello myself Shreya" I introduced myself and forwarded my hand (no covid in the story)

Prerna – Hello ma'am. I am Prerna. Mujhe Acp sir ne aapko assist karne ko kaha hai. Chaliye.

She said shaking hands with me and then asking to follow her.

We reached near a police jeep and started our journey towards my temporary house.

Upon reaching , I jump out of the jeep and find a beautiful cyan coloured house with a small garden in front of me. Too tired to admire the house more , I enter inside with my bags , followed by Prerna.

The house was good. Furniture settled, clean and tidy! Prerna noticed me looking around, so said

Prerna – Acp sir ka call aate hi bol diya tha clean karwane ko. Quarters na milne tak aapka temporary ghar yahi hoga, isliye aapki pasand ke phool aur decorations lagaye hai.

I smile heartily and say Thank you to her. I asked her to have a seat but she declined it with

Prerna – Meri night duty hai ma'am! Mai chalti hu. Aur khaane ki saari cheeze rakh di hai , phir bhi agar aapko kuch chahiye to mujhe phone kar dijiye ga.

"Bilkul! Thank you again". I said gratefully.

She smiled and moved out of the house. I closed the door and Sat on the sofa with a 'thud'.

Phew! Know the point when you are tired like hell but so excited that your eyes don't just want to close? Yeah exactly I was feeling this torture right now! Sighing, I locked everything, turn off the lights and went towards my room.

Entering inside, I was greeted by a light blue colour walls, queen size bed, a medium size closet and an attached washroom. Hmmm I like it!

Not feeling sleepy, I bring out my clothes which I will be wearing to the bureau tomorrow I. Can't. Wait!!!!!!

I kept my clothes in the closet and was about to go to sleep when I looked down and saw the red string turning pink.

Wait a minute! That happened to Raghav's string when I helped him meet Priya (his soulmate).

Oh shit shit shit! My soulmate is here? Like really? In mumbai? What do I do? Should I check? Of course he is my soulmate!

Before I could gather my thoughts, I saw the string turning red again dammit! Me and my bickering thoughts!

Still, I went to the balcony and looked outside but all I could see was a bike light going far away from me. Damn I lost him! Trying to lift up my mood I tried to think positively

Now that's something I should be Happy about! I got into Mumbai CID AND my soulmate lives in Mumbai!!! I can't wait to start searching him!

With this I looked at the time.

12:30 am

Oh shit! Man I can't be late on my first day!

With this I came inside , fell on my bed and turned off the lights.

Sigh! It's big day tomorrow!
