Oh god its morning again! Why cant the night be long?
My thoughts stopped when I realized that it was morning! the day I join my dream team!
Cant be late! Cant be late! Cant be late!
I chant this as I wake up fast, do my routine, wear the dress I picked up late night i.e. a green full sleeves shirt and black jeans.
standing at my dressing table, I wear other things like my favourite watch gifted by my grandmother and earrings.
hmmm Perfect! I complimented myself with a smile and head downstairs to finally have a better breakfast.
Hmm... what should I have on this wonderful day? how about ... yeah let's go with easy today. Sandwiches and juice.
Preparing my royal breakfast, I ate it and rush out towards my bike. Yeah I love bikes! Riding a bike is my thrill! I have won some bike racing competitions too. The wind , sky ,freedom ... everything gets exciting when you ride a bike-
Okay enough of the talks or you will get late! I scold myself and I start my ride towards my dream building!!!!! yayyyyyyyyyyyy
As soon as I park my bike, I see the security guard coming towards me with a stoic face.
"kisse milna hai aapko?" he questioned
"Milna to Acp sir se hai par mai mil lungi" I said smiling.
"Aap shreya mam hain? He asked recognising me
"Jee Acp sir aa gaye?" I asked keeping my helmet on the bike and taking all the accessories.
"Jee mam upar hi hai. unhone kaha tha aap aaye to aapko roku na" He replied politely and started walking towards the gate after my 'thank you'
Running up the stairs , I took a deep breath before entering.
I was instantly noticed by a guy who came to me with an excited smile
Pankaj - Aaiye madam , aapko kya problem hai? aap mujhe bataiye mai yaha ka one of the best officer hu-
He was instantly interrupted by a friendly looking guy
Freddy -. Aye Pankaj hum dono mai senior kon hai? To best officer kon hua?
Pankaj (making faces) - Aap ... huh senior
This small bickering session was interrupted by my idol , Acp Pradyuman , who came out of his cabin bcoz of the commotion. My smile widened as my excitement again started reaching its peak.
Acp sir - Ye hai hamari nayi officer. Inspector shreya! Ye aaj se hi hame join karengi.
This made everyone gather around us and he started introducing me with others
Acp sir - Aao tumhe introduce karwa du

Inspector Purvi - Hello , nice meeting you.
Sr. inspector Sachin - Welcome to CID Mumbai.
Inspector Frederick - Tumse milkar accha laga!
Inspector Pankaj - Nice to meet you! Mujhe Dcp sir ne specially appoint kiya hai to aapko koi bhi prob-
He stopped receiving a glare from Acp sir to which everyone chuckled.
Acp sir - Aur jo abhi yaha nahi hai vo hai Senior inspectors Daya ,Abhijeet and kavin, Forensic Expert Dr. Salunkhe aur unki assistant Dr. Tarika.
Nodding, I replied to every one with a greet and a thank you.
Acp sir - Shreya CID Mumbai ek team se jyada ek pariwaar hai. Asha krunga tum bhi is pariwaar ka hissa banogi.
Just the way I thought!
"Bilkul sir! CID Mumbai ka hissa mujhe hamesha se banna tha! I will try my best!" I replied with enthusiasm.
Acp sir smiled and asked Purvi to show mr around and then went inside his cabin.
Wow this is seriously amazing!
Purvi - Chalo mai tumhe tumhara desk dikha deti hu! Phir baaki ka bureau dekh lenge.
"Okay ma'am" I replied sincerely
She stopped midway and staring at me, she said
Purvi - Dekho Shreya hum dono same age ke hai ...and same post ke bhi! to please tum mujhe Purvi hi kaho. Ye ma'am bada ajeeb lagta hai sunne mai.
Chuckling lightly, I nodded and soon we were merrily talking about every officer. But what caught my attention was obviously the red line appearing over her. I was curious to see if she has found her soulmate or not. But as I have just met her, I ain't jumping into her love life just like that!So keeping my thoughts at bay , I asked her
"Vaise Purvi, baaki ke senior officers kaha hai? (looking at the watch) Ab tak koi aaya nahi?
Purvi - Kavin sir puraane case ke silsile mai Delhi gaye hai , Abhijeet sir khabri se milne gaye hai to thodi der mai aa jaayenge aur Daya sir mission mai hai.
"oohh accha ab humne sab dekh lia na, ab current case ke baare mai bhi bata do! I am very excited to work here!!" I almost jumped saying this.
Giggling lightly , Purvi brought a file to the desk with
Purvi - Ye lo! Itne acche case se shuruvat hui hai tumhari!
"Matlab?" I asked with confusion.
Purvi - Matlab... 2 din se chal raha hai. Ab tak clue nai mila koi. Tum file padho tab tak mai apna kaam complete karti hu... doubt ho to puch lena.
Nodding, I started reading the file.
Hmmm... so a girl is murdered in her flat no. 321. She has 2 knife wounds in her stomach. Her friend was sleeping in other room who said that she was asleep so she didn't see anything. The friend said that when she entered the house she was so sleepy, she went to her room and slept.
No evidence was found in the house. There were some broken vases and things on floor which indicated that some sort of mayhem happened in the room between the girl and the killer. The prominent suspect was the friend but there is no proof against her except for the fact that she was in the house when the murder took place. hmmmm waiiit a minute
"Purvi? Purvi?" I called her immediately.
She rushed to me and asked
Purvi - Kya hua shreya? kuch doubt hai?Shaking head in no, I questioned her as
"Ye jo prime suspect hai , vo friend Nisha, uska pura statement kya tha?
Purvi ( confusingly) - Yahi ke vo pure din job pe thi aur raat ko jab vo aayi Ghar to use itni neend aa rahi thi ke vo room nai Jake so gayi aur phir usse kuch nahi pata ke kya hua, kese hua...
"Exactly!!! Usne ye bhi kaha tha na ke unke Roz ka schedule hota tha Ghar aake movie dekhna... means ke vo Jaldi nahi sote the!" I said with slight excitement
Purvi - You mean...
"Haa! what if vo neend use aayi na ho balki zabardasti dilwai gayi ho?" I said with a bit of caution.
Purvi ( with a wide smile) - Bilkul! Mai abhi Pankaj ko bhejti hu usse puchne!
She immediate ordered Pankaj to visit Nisha and ask her where she had her food from.
Purvi ( happily) - Are waah shreya! tune to aate hi Kamal kar diya! Hum jo 2 din se nahi dhundh paa rahe the vo tune ek ghante Mai dhundh liya!"
Are nai Purvi aisa kuch nahi hai... bas kabhi kabhi hum kuch choti detail ko nazar andaaz kar jaate hai jo hume solution tak pohocha sakti hai" I said shyly when suddenly I heard
voice - Bilkul sahi kaha!
