We heard and turned around to find a good looking guy , wearing brown coat , standing there with a smile. he came forward with ,

Abhijeet - Bilkul sahi kaha tumne ...

I instantly replied with "Shreya , new inspector"

Nodding , he continued with

Abhijeet - Senior inspector Abhijeet. Ab pata chala Acp Karamjeet ne tumhe kyu bheja hai waha se. you really are a brilliant officer! Keep up the work.

Omg!!!! my senior praised me on my first day! Can this day be anymore good?

Hiding my excitement,. i replied sincerely with "Thank you sir. I really am looking forward to work with Cid mumbai.!"

Our conversation was cut off in between when purvi asked him

purvi - Sir, daya sir kab wapas aa rahe hai? kitne din ho gaye unhe gaye hue!

Abhijeet (teasingly) - Ab kya kare purvi , tumhare daya sir ko waha itna maza aa raha hai ke mission khatm hi nahi kar rahe , is dar se ke khatm ho gaya to wapas aana padega."

Hehe , he is quite funny. total opposite of what i had heard before.

Abhijeet (continued) - Thoda kaam abhi baaki hai , hopefully 1 hafte tak aa jaayega. Chalo chalo kaam pe lago mai Acp sir se mil ke aata hu.

Saying this, he went away giving a sweet smile. And i turned towards purvi with

"Abhijeet sir to kitne acche hai. Maine jo jo suna uske bilkul opposite!"

Purvi - Aur kya kya suna hai tumne?

"Yahi ... ke vo angry young man hai , bohot khadoos hai ,bohott daant te hai... par ye to funny , smiley type lag rahe hai." I replied cautiously

Purvi (laughing) - Are nahi , hamare saare hi senior bade acche hai. Haa Abhijeet sir daant te hai par galti karne par. varna to vo bade mazakiya hai. Aur daya sir to hume daant te hi nahi ... ulta sabki daant se bachaate hai.

"Accha... itne acche hai kya tumhare daya sir?"

Purvi - Jab milogi na tab samajh jaogi.

The rest of the day went normally. Or rather exciting for me because it was my first day with my dream team!! In late evening, Acp sir came out of his cabin and ordered everyone

Acp sir - Chalo bohot der ho gai hai sab ghar jao. Baaki ka kaam kal karlena. Aur ha Freddy , Pankaj kal subah us restaurant owner se bhi milte jaana jaha se Nisha ne khaana khaya tha.

Nodding, everyone started packing when Acp sir came forward, and stood in front of me. Alerted, I looked at him curiously when he started as

Acp sir (proudly) - Well done Shreya! Mujhe Abhijeet ne bataya tumne is case ko kitni baariki se aur kitne acche se dekha. I am proud of you.

O M G!!!!!!!!!!!!! My idol praised me on my first day... Okay... okay... calm down shree... calm down. Act professional..

Gulping down my excitement, I nodded and replied with 'Thank you' with a wideee smile on my face.

This made him chuckle a bit and he went back into his cabin after that.

Abhijeet (teasingly) - Are waah Shreya. Pehle hi din rawan se taarif mili. Bada accha naseeb hai tumhara.

Everyone laughed at this tease when

Freddy - Haa shreya , pehle din pe taarif sirf Abhijeet sir aur Daya sir ki hui hai. Aur ab tumhara naam bhi us list mai jud gaya. Iski to party banti hai!

Purvi (taking over with) - Haa shreya. Ye kisi achievement se kam nahi hai! Aur saath mai tumhare yaha aane ki party bhi chahiye hame.

"Vo to tumhe deni chahiye na mujhe... welcome party" I replied teasingly.

Abhijeet - Haa bhai , Shreya ki baat to bilkul sahi hai! Party to hame use deni chahiye. To ek kaam karte hai kahi dinner par chalte hai. Phir jab tumhe quarters allot ho jaaye tab tumhare ghar par tumhari party kar lenge.

Pankaj (excitedly) - Are waah sir aapne to mere pet ki baat cheen li! Chaliye chaliye kahi hotel bandh na ho jaaye!

Everyone laughed at this and shook thier head in disappointment.

Sachin - Are Pankaj pehle Shreya se puch to lo ke use aane mai koi problem to nahi.

"Are nahi sir mujhe to bohot khushi hogi aap sab ke saath dinner karke. Ulta mai to kehti hu ye dinner meri taraf se" I replied instantly with a smile.

Abhijeet - Nahi nahi shreya. Yu aise bahar ka khilaake tum bach. nahi sakti. Hum to tumhaare haath ka khaana khaayenge tumhari party mai!

Giggling ,I replied as "Theek hai sir, aaj aap logo ki taraf se party phir."

At the same time, Acp sir came. out with

Acp sir - Are ye kis cheez ki party ho rahi hai?

Pankaj (in excitement) - Are sir , pehle din pe itna Accha kaam kiya hai shreya ne aur Raa-

Abhijeet (interrupting) - Raat bhi ho gayi hai na to socha welcome party de de shreya ko kisi hotel mai. Aap aayenge sir?

Acp sir - Are nahi mujhe aaj salunkhe ko apne haath ke karele khilane hai. Tum log maze karo! Kal time pe aa jaana par.

Saying this, he went from there. Abhijeet sir instantly turned towards Pankaj with

Abhijeet ( chewingly) - Kya karte ho Pankaj abhi marwa dete. Abhi muh pe unko rawan bol dete aur hum sab ki parade lag jaati!

Pankaj (apologizing) - Sorry sir vo excitement mai nikal gaya... chaliye na chalte hai khaana khaane!

I giggled again as Abhijeet sir sighed loudly, looking at Pankaj.

Everyone soon went towards the parking with normal chit-chat.

Purvi - Aur phir pata hai Dcp sir na bhaag gaye waha se.

We both laughed at this when she suddenly asked Abhijeet sir as

Purvi - Sir hum sab. jaayenge kese?

Abhijeet (thinking) - Dekho Freddy aur Pankaj to vaise bhi mere saath aaye the. To hum sab mere hi jeep mai chalte hai.

Shreya tum kaise aayi thi?

"Sir mai meri bike pe aayi thi"

Purvi (happily). - Ha to hum sab Abhijeet sir ke saath chalte hai na. Ek saath maza aayega!

"Haa par meri bike-" I was about to worryingly ask when I was cut off with

Abhijeet - Tumhari bike CID ke parking mai safe rahegi shreya. Aur kal mai tumhe aur Purvi ko pick kar lunga. Vapas tum apni bike se aa jaana. Okay? (Teasingly) Ha ab tumhe meri driving pe bharosa na ho to-

"Are nai sir chaliye chalte hai!" I immediately responded.

Laughing, we all took a seat in the jeep with Sachin sir in the passenger seat , me ,Purvi and Freddy sir in the middle one and Pankaj in the back seat.

Soon we all reached the hotel and took a seat in corner when Abhijeet sir got a call.

Abhijeet - Haa. Accha? Abhi? (tensely) Kuch hua hai kya? Accha theek hai ruko. (cutting the call) Um.. dekho tum log order karo, mai ek important phone karke aata hu.

Freddy - Sir kuch hua hai kya? aap pareshan lag rahe hai?

Abhijeet - Are nahi Freddy aisi koi baat nahi hai. vo bas ek chota sa kaam hai mai aata hu abhi. tum order karo. aur tumhe to pata hai mera kya order hai.

Saying so, he left from there.

" Sir , Abhijeet sir-"

My hesitant question was cut off with

Sachin (smilingly) - Koi baat nahi shreya. Tumhe to pata hi hai aksar aisi baate hoti hai jo seniors sabko nahi bata paate. Aa jaayenge thodi der mai.

"Accha to phir mai shahi paneer khaungi!" I nodded and said happily.

Chuckling, they all started deciding what to get. Soon Pankaj called the waiter and gave everyone's order.

As we were waiting, I casually looked around and then suddenly noticed my thread... it got pink!!! Wait a minute... how long was the thread pink? No it wasn't pink when we came here. So it isn't one of them... so where do i-

Before I could complete my thought process, the thread got read again. Shit man not again! And soon Abhijeet sir joined us with a wide smile on his face.

Freddy - Kya baat hai sir , Daya sir ka phone aaya tha kya?

Abhijeet (with raised eyebrow) - Tumhe aisa kyu laga?

Freddy (teasingly) -Sir aap itne khush to tabhi dikhte hai jab ya to Daya sir ka phone aaye yaa...

Abhijeet ( with a shy smile) - Tum bhi aaj kal bohot bolne lage ho Freddy. Abhi tumhari shikayat Bhabhiji se karunga ruko tum.

Freddy (fearfully) - Kya sir kyu meri zindagi mai aag lagaane ki sochte rehte hai? (making faces) Agar aisa kuch kiya na aapne to Smita mujhse hafte bhar baat nai karegi! (folding hands) please aap kuch mat kariye.

This made me laugh lightly and soon everyone joined me.

Abhijeet (laughing) - Are mazaak kar raha hu Freddy. nahi karunga phone.

Before anyone could continue, the food arrived and we all just jumped on the food. hmmmm shahi paneer.. it's delicious.

Enjoying the yummy feast, now it was time to pay the bill. I was banned out of it as it was my "Welcome party" , as told by everyone.

Purvi was still having her dessert. And Abhijeet sir , Sachin sir and Freddy sir stood up and rushed towards the reception to pay the bill. Pankaj also rushd but towards the washroom as a way to NOT pay the bill. haha

Wanting to ask a question badly , I was continuously staring at Purvi. But she ignored me and was totally focused in her dessert.

"Yaar kabse dekh rahi hu tumhe... pucho to sahi ke kya puchna hai mujhe" I frustratingly said.

Purvi (with wide eyes) - Aree... Mai dessert ko dekhu ke tumhe dekhu? Chalo ab. puch hi lo kya puchna hai.

"Vo..." I hesitated

Purvi - Are ab pucho bhi!"

Vo Freddy sir jab Abhijeet sir ko keh rahe the ke-"

Purvi (laughingly) - Accha to tumhe "yaa" ke aage ka janna hai.

I nodded with embarrassment and was about to deny when she said

Purvi (smilingly) - Tum abhi tak mili nahi ho... Hamare forensic expert Dr salunkhe ki assistant Dr. tarika."

Ohh to vo inki girlfriend hai" I said with understanding.

Purvi - Are nahi abhi tak nahi. Par sabko dikhta hai ke vo ek dusre ko pasand karte hai (laughing) Aur -

Abhijeet - Are Purvi hum bill deke aa gaye aur tumhara dessert khatm hi nai hua.

Purvi (complaining) - Sir mri galti nahi hai Shreya ko janna tha vo -

I looked at her with wide eyes with what she was saying and instantly shut her mouth with a big spoon of her dessert.

"um... Purvi khatm nahi kar rahi thi to maine jaldi khila diya use" I replied nervously as every one looked at my act with wide eyes.

Freddy - Aur tumhe janna kya tha?

"vo-vo mujhe... haa mujhe janna tha ke forensic dept. mai kon hai... mai mili nahi na abhi unse." I gulped and then stood up with

"Chalo chalte hai Purvi ka dessert bhi khatm ho gaya"

Everyone nodded while Purvi gave me death glare as she almost got choked with that spoonful of dessert. Sticking my tongue at her, I joined the others.

Soon one by one , Abhijeet sir dropped everyone and now he asked me about my address.

"Sir yaha se straight ,. mai batati hu aapko aage"

Nodding , he started driving straight.

"Sir... ek baat puchu?" I hesitated.

Abhijeet - Are bilkul pucho. Bureau ke bahar hum sab dost hai. To jhijhakne ki bilkul zaroorat nahi hai."

Vo sir Freddy sir ko kyu laga ke aap Daya sir se hi baat kar rahe the?" I smiled and asked

Abhijeet (Smilingly) - Kyuki Freddy hum dono ko hi jaanta hai aur hamare rishte ko bhi. Use pata hai ke Daya ka phone ho to mai meeting pause karke bhi baat karunga. Jab mai mission pe jaata hu tab bhi yahi hota hai , bas tab fark ye hai ke Daya turant phone uthata hai.

I was listening to his talks and the smile on his face. Hmm... Daya sir must be really special.

Abhijeet (continued with) - Are abhi tum milogi na to tum bhi pure bureau ki tarah Daya sir Daya sir karne lagogi.

"Sir aur kuch bataiye na unke baare mai. Aaj ek hi din hua hai phir bhi itni baar unka naam suna hai. Itna to unlogo ka bhi nahi suna jo bureau mai present the. Yaha se left sir" I asked with curiosity.

Abhijeet sir laughed at this and turning towards left, he started as

Abhijeet - Ab Daya hai hi itna khaas.
