The next morning, the trinnnggg of my stupid alarm broke my sleep.
About to go back to sleep, I realised that Abhijeet sir and Purvi will be picking me up and I can't make my senior wait just coz of my lazy self.
Whyy god why!! Why can't I have an afternoon job?? Uhuhuh why couldn't I have thought this before joining CID training??
Stopping my whining, I got up and freshened up. Wearing my blue jeans and black shirt with some cute earring and ring, I went downstairs happily. Coz I am about to have a yummy breakfast again!!
Wow Mumbai is actually really good! Making ME wake up early everyday!!
Going in the kitchen happily, I had a detailed conversation with myself about what can I have today. Finally I decided that poha and tea will be a good combo and started preparing for it. Soon I heard the door bell.
What? It's not 8 yet!!!
Worriedly, I opened the door and found Abhijeet sir and Purvi there with a smile.
Purvi (pushing me aside) – Waah shreya kya khooshbu hai! Kya bana rahi ho?
Ushering Abhijeet sir inside, I said
"Haa vo socha aaj time mila hai to poha banalu apne liye!"
Abhijeet – Time mila hai matlab?
"Vo... Vo mujhe jaldi uthne ki aadat nahi hai" I replied with embarrassment.
Both had a little laugh when Purvi suddenly said
Purvi – Phir to accha hai hum aaj aaye hai! Mai Abhijeet sir ko jaldi le aayi. Hum yahi nashta karenge!
Abhijeet (apologising) – Sorry shreya vo Purvi ne kaha tha kahi bahar breakfast kar lenge sab milke isliye tumhe bhi pick karne aa gaye. Batake aana-
"Are nahi sir koi baat nahi! Dono yahi nashta kar lo! Haa bas... Kaha baithna hai vo jara dhundhna hoga" I said hesitantly.
Purvi (happily) – Are koi na hum pankhe pe latak ke kha lenge par aaj yahi khaenge!
Laughing, I looked at sir with "sir aap bhi apna pasandeeda pankha chun lijie tab tak mai poha aur chai bana deti hu."
Looking at me with wide eyes, he shake his head in disappointment at us two ladies. But before he could say anything, he got a call and went outside to talk.
As soon as he went out, we both burst out laughing.
"Ac-accha tum baitho mai breakfast bana deti hu" I tried to say , controlling my laughter.
Purvi -Mai madad-
"Are nahi! Mai bana lungi. Tum baitho tab tak ...kahi to" I interrupted her
Purvi – Ha to Mai yahi keh rahi thi ke mai madad nai krne wali khud Karo.
"huh?" I looked at her and she just burst out laughing again.
I made food while Abhijeet sir talked on phone and Purvi checked the whole house. Maybe to find a place to sit... Who knows.
As I was almost done, Abhijeet sir came inside with
Abhijeet – Sorry shreya vo important phone aa gaya tha. Are tum akeli kyu kar rahi ho? Ruko mai madad kar deta hu.
Saying this, he was about to come help when I stopped him with
"are sir almost ban hi gaya hai sab! Bas plates and cup Mai daalke serve hi karna hai!"
Abhijeet – Are ha to Mai serve karta hu lao.
But I stopped his movements again with
"Sir aap apna pankha chuniye , ye mai kar lungi!"
This confused him for a second , before he got what I was saying and glaring at me ( damn he really got some fire Eyes, but not this time.) he moved towards the sofa which could fit one person ... As the other side was filled with boxes...
Serving everything, I went towards them and gave them their plate. And instantly I received some compliments as
Purvi – Waah shreya waah! Aise pohe to meri mummy ne bhi nai banaye kabhi yaar!
Abhijeet – Haa shreya. Bohot badhiya bane hai! Aisa breakfast to Daya bhi nahi banata!"
"vo khana bhi banate hai?" I queried instantly. But before I could realise it Purvi asked
Purvi (raised eyebrow)– Khana 'bhi' banate hai matlab? Aur kya karte hai Daya sir?
"Are I mean ... Vo... Kal Daya sir ke baare mai itna batya Abhijeet sir ne, par ye nai bataya isliye pucha" I clarified.
Though why did I got so impressed? It's just cooking. Anyone can do it!
Abhijeet (teasing) – Aha bohot dhyaan se suna hai tumne lagta hai.
Before I could reply, Purvi started laughing joined by Abhijeet sir.
Embarrassed, I just focused on my poha and ignored any other living creature in my hall.
Finishing with food, we all got up and I took all the dishes in the kitchen. Coming back after few minutes, I took my purse , card and bike keys.
Soon we all settled inside, and started our journey towards bureau.
In between, we saw a crowd gathered around a cart and discussing something with a loud voice. We came out of the car and started walking towards the crowd when my eyes wandered on my wrist and I saw my already pink thread turning red again. What the heck!!!! Again?
Frantically searching around, I just saw some cars going and no clue of my soulmate!!!
Not gonna lie now that I know my soulmate is near me I wanna meet him. But this damn thread just doesn't get my focus soon! Huh! Why can't it tell me that hey buddy your soulmate is near you. Stop doing useless things and look around! Ughhhhh
Before I could vent my frustrations more, we all reached near the crowd.
Abhijeet – kya hua? Aap log yaha aise kyu khade hai?
The cart owner – Sahab ek bike wala badi tezi se jaa raha tha. Aur uske piche ek dusre bike wale sahab jaa rahe the. Aisa lag raha tha vo unka picha kar rahe hai. (Angrily) Phir vo bike wale ne mere thele ko takkar mari aur mere saare phal gira diye aur ek uncle to takkar bhi maari!
Suddenly the crowd again started murmuring about how that's wrong and all. Silencing them, Abhijeet sir asked
Abhijeet – phir kya hua?
Cart owner (praising)- Sahab phir vo piche wale sahab ruke mere phal ke paise diye aur vo uncle to bitha ke hospital le gaye.
Purvi – Accha... To matter solve ho gaya hai na? Phir kyu khade ho yaha? Chalo jao apna kaam karo.
Saying so, we all came back and sat inside and soon we reached bureau.
Purvi (worriedly) – Are baapre late ho gaye. Bas Acp sir aaye na ho!
"Are Purvi chill. Hum late to isi liye hue na ke waha ruke the. Samjha denge sir ko" I tried calming her
Purvi – Tum aisa sirf isiliye bol rahi ho coz tumne abhi tak sir se sirf taarif suni hai. Daant nahi.
Abhijeet – Baat to sahi hai shreya. Unse daant sunne ke baad to hume bhi kai raaton tak neend nahi aati.
Laughing at this I said , "kya sir... Bichaare acp sir itne acche hai unhe aise hi badnaam kar rakha hai"
Purvi – Ha ha kitne acche hai aaj dekh lena.
Reaching near the gate, we all went in and found Pankaj , Freddy sir , Sachin sir and Acp sir all gathered around the table. We all reached near the table and heard
Acp sir – Kaha the tum log? Late kese ho gaye?
Abhijeet (taking over) – sorry sir vo raste mai kuch bhid ikattah ho gayi thi to hum unhe hata rahe the.
Acp sir (nodding) – Theek hai chalo koi baat nahi. Aage se dhyaan rakhna.
Hearing this, I was relieved whereas Abhijeet sir and Purvi were totally surprised. Elbowing Purvi I signed as 'I told you so'.
Acp sir (continuing) – Accha tum log kaam karo mai cabin mai jaata hu. Abhijeet thodi der baad andar aao tum.
Abhijeet – yes sir.
As soon as he left, Abhijeet sir turned towards all with
Abhijeet - Kuch hua hai kya? Itna Accha mood?
Freddy (happily) – Ha sir wo parso Daya sir aa rahe hai wapas.
Yayyy I will finally be able to meet him!
Abhijeet (murmuring) – Acchaaa chiranjeev vapas aa rahe hai isiliye mood accha hai. Chalo hum to bach gaye!
Pankaj – kya sir?
Abhijeet – Kuch nai chalo kaam pe lago. Daya wapas aayega phir tumlogo ka kaam karne ka man to hoga nahi to abhi khatm kar lo.
Nodding , everyone was about to go to their desk when I pulled Purvi with
"Sun na kal tu mujhe team ki photo dikhane wali thi aaj dikha do na"
Purvi (confused) – Accha ... Theek hai chalo.
Going to her desk, she showed the photo as
Purvi – Dekho in sab ko to tum Mili hi ho. Ye hai dr. Salunkhe aur dr. Tarika. Ye hai Rajat sir. Ye Kavin sir. Ye ab yaha nahi hai ye hai vivek. Aur ye... Ye hai Daya sir aur ye...
Focusing on the picture, I looked at the well-built guy with really cute smile. All those qualities told by Abhijeet sir , started revolving in my mind and I felt my heart beat slightly faster. Before I could look more, she moved the photo with,
Purvi – Hash! Dekh liya? Chal ab mujhe kaam karne de. Varna abhi to mood accha hai , agar bigad gaya to shamat aa jaayegi.
Saying this, she hushed me from her desk and I came back to my desk.
Huh? Mai unke baare mai itna kyu soch rahi hu?
Shaking my head,
Focus shreya focus! Tu yaha apni dream team ke saath kaam karne aayi hai! To sirf wahi kar!!
