Chapter 12

Eren's POV:

"You really look just like your father." My grandfather kneels in front of me with tears in his eyes. "Eren, right?"

"Yes, grandfather." I smile as I hug him, then I say, "There is something I will need to do."

I stand back up and says, "Grandfather, if you may, I want you to ask your colleagues to open the doors. I'm not going to harm the patients, instead, I'm going to do a favor."

The doctor nods as he leaves to inform the patients, and it is also then I see Jean.

"Jean, this is the last Titan power. The Armored Titan, eat it and you'll become it." I say while handing it over to him.

"Never thought I would be the one inheriting this." Jean says as he eats the crystal and feels the power inside him. Once Dr. Yeager is done, he shows us to the patient's room, I use the Founding Titan's powers to give them a miracle.

The Founding Titan has the power to change the bodies of the Subjects of Ymir, and I decide to return the favor by healing their wounds and injuries, sickness and illness. And once I've done this, I also use the paths to tell them what just happened, and once they're done, a lot of the patients have left since they want to head home, and I turn to Mikasa and Historia. "Our mission here is done."

Mikasa and Historia smile at me as we all bid farewell to my grandfather as we head to the shelters where all of the citizens of Liberio were staying. Commander Hange was there with the others as I ask, "Commander Hange. Are most of the people here Eldians or Marleyans?"

"What kind of question is that? I know we are the Survey Corps, but I don't think we have a lot of time to do this kind of survey." Hange says. "But you can see that the Marleyans are attacking the Eldians inside and it has been hard for us to stop them."

Well, this is expected. I decide to enter the shelter and I yell, "Stop the fighting right now!"

As everyone in the room turns to me, I take a breath and say, "My name is Eren Yeager, and I'm the current King of Eldia. The war of Liberio is over and the government has surrendered. The Eldians here have nothing to do with your hatred against Paradis, and all we want is peace with Eldians and other races."

Now it doesn't seem to work as the uproar is getting louder and some of them want to rush toward me and punch me. I reach my hand and say, "Don't test me. I have the Founding Titan, I have the power to just change Eldians here into Titans and let them devour you like prey ready to be hunted. Your so-called Helos is no hero, he only won against our King Fritz because our King Fritz was just a coward who refuses to fight."

Now everyone in the area is terrified of what I just said, and I say, "From now on, all of the blood tests in Liberio will be banned, and Eldians, I forbid you to wear armbands, no matter if you're an honorary Marleyan or not. The law in Liberio will be the same as Paradis, under the law, you are free. You don't need to be shamed for the ancestor's guilt, because they are just lies fabricated by Marley to control your lives. None of you are from that past and none of you know what is actually going on there."

And in the rest of the shelters, I'm doing the same thing, it takes us several hours to let all of them back to their own houses. Historia asks, "Are you sure they will be willing to do what you said and have peace with the Eldians?"

I reply, "Conflicts will never end, and I'm sure that Marleyans in Liberio will still hate Eldians since we occupied the city here. But during the speech, I already rewrite the Eldian's memories so that they don't need to wear armbands, so Marleyans won't ever know if the person they befriended or not are Eldians."

"I just hope that it isn't going to be a large trouble." Hange says.

After the plane arrives, I open the door and find Zeke reading the book. I say, "Zeke, do you enjoy the book?"

Zeke turns to me and says, "I've read this seven times, what do you think? I guess the invasion was done?"

"First of all, Liberio is occupied by my forces, and second of all, we eliminated the Tybur Family and now all of the 9 Titans are in our grasp." I say. "Marley is finished, but only time will tell us when."

"Do you really think that after this, the other Nations won't try to fight against you?" Zeke asks.

"If we win, we live. If we lose, we die. If you don't fight, we can't win. That's why if they want to attack, we'll fight, and by unlocking all of the Titan's powers and breaking the Curse of Ymir, I'm sure not even the Anti-Titan technologies will be a problem for us." I say.

"Wait, you already break the curse of Ymir?" Zeke looks at me with shock, and I sigh, "Looks like I didn't tell you the before. We found a way to break the curse, and that's why tomorrow I'm going to help our new Titan Shifters with the curse breaking."

I say, "And I'm sorry that I take your powers. I can't still forgive you for the fact that you killed a lot of our friends in my hometown, this is the suitable punishment for you."

"Fair enough." Zeke sighs. "In fact, I'm also relieved that you free me from this Titan power."

"Good, do you want to go home right now? I can send you off here." I ask.

"Fine by me." Zeke says as we bring him back to the house.

Reiner's POV:

After Eren's speech, I have realized that it is finally done for the rest of us... right now we are occupying the nearby town because the train and the tracks needed to be fixed.

"I can't believe this... to think we lost all of our Titans and even War Chief Zeke..." Galliard says with frustration. "Liberio is under attack and we can't do anything about it..."

"Will our parents be safe? Will they do anything to them?" Pieck asks with slight fear in her eyes.

Gabi asks, "Reiner, you know the king of the devils himself? Why would he say that he's an old friend to you?"

Now everyone is looking at me, and I lower my head, "We've spent three years together in the same training camp at Paradis, to complete our mission, we have to blend with them... he was naive and all he wanted was to eliminate all the Titans in the world because his mother was eaten by one. All of us call him the Suicide Bastard because of it..."

I stop a little and they continue to look at me, and I say, "He didn't know he was a Titan shifter himself until we try to break the second wall. We don't know how he got the power, and we believed that he might be the Founding Titan, and that's why we've tried to kidnap him. But all of our attempts failed because his friends refused to hand him over... and they would risk the whole military just to bring him back..."

"If he was that kind of person, how the hell did he manage to become the King of Paradis?" Colt asks.

"I don't know, he wasn't the king four years ago, but I heard that they did a coup to put a new queen on the throne. Maybe he married the new queen?" I say. "But he already has Mikasa..."

"Mikasa? You mean the woman that was by his side? I did hear him calling her his queen..." Pieck says.

Huh? He did? So he did realize Mikasa's love for him... does that mean Mikasa is the new queen? No... I thought that the queen is someone named Historia Reiss... this is really confusing, did that suicidal bastard actually has two wives? How would Mikasa ever agree to something like this? Unless they have to know this Historia Reiss from before?

Just then, Magath walks in and he gives us the bad news, don't tell me... "We lost Liberio to the island of devils."

Now everyone in the room feels dread in their eyes, and Magath doesn't seem to be finished yet. "Lord Tybur's family and the soldiers guarding the place are all dead. The island of devils has all of the Titans."

"It can't be..." Udo is the one who exclaims in shock.

"What is going to happen to our family?" Falco mutters with sadness.

"But the Attack Titan was just here... and most of the forces were in Liberio, right? How did they manage to attack Lord Tybur's family?" Colt asks.

Magath lowers his head and says, "It seems like they might be far more advanced than us... the ones who attacked Lord Tybur's family are the Colossal Titan and the Female Titan."

Wait, the Female Titan? Does that mean not only they manage to eat Bertolt, but even Annie? I was the one who forced them to continue the mission while all they wanted was to just leave and head home... and they're dead because of me...

"Damn it... those two Titans belonged to Bertolt and Annie..." Galliard is now glaring at me, "It's your fault! Reiner! My brother died, and now those two died, why are you the only one that managed to get away huh?"

"Calm down, Pock." Pieck says.

Magath says, "It is true that Hoover has died because the Titan doesn't look like him. However, in the Female Titan, the soldiers recognized her as the same as Leonhart. Meaning that Leonhart betrayed Marley and sided with the island of devils."

The news causes shock to every one of us, now that I think about it, if Eren's the King, he wouldn't want Annie to get killed... but why would Annie betray us... then I remember what she said.

"Marleyans and Eldians are both liars! All they think about is themselves! And I'm no different."

Was that the reason why she betrayed Marley? And I think she only told Eren about her father...

After Magath leaves, Gabi says with tears in her eyes, "So what are we going to do now? We can't go back to Liberio..."

"Judging from the speech, I can say that our parents won't be harmed by the enemy forces." I say. "I know Eren and if he wants to protect Eldians, he will do it. The only concern is the fact that the other races in Liberio causing trouble for them."

Everyone grits their teeth, they have been wanting to prove that they are good Eldians and they're nothing like the other Eldians, but it won't be possible because of the recent attack... damn, just what the hell happened to the island for these four years?

And here is a new chapter, and as you can see, Eren has been making Liberio a part of the Eldia empire, and the rest of the Marley side are gathering in a small town with Reiner finally revealing everything to them. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be the rest of the Titan training.
