You've Got A Friend In Me:

I shifted the plastic bag I was carrying in my left hand as I knocked on the apartment door in front of me and I stepped backwards as I waited for someone to answer the door for me. I glanced down at the ground impatiently as the door swung open from the inside and I lifted my head up with a smile to see Chris Argent standing in the doorway.

"Hi, Chris!" I greeted him enthusiastically with a bright smile as I stepped into the apartment without being asked and he blinked in surprise at my abrupt entry as I pushed pass him.

"Sophie. What are you doing here?" he asked me in confusion as I walked through the apartment as though I owned the building and he followed after me as I headed in the direction of the kitchen.

"I came to see Allison. And you, of course." I explained cheerfully as I glanced over my shoulder at him with a wink and he chuckled slightly as I placed the plastic bag I was holding on the kitchen counter. "There's been a lot going on lately and I haven't had the chance to spend any quality girl time with Allie."

"I'm sure she'll appreciate you coming over."

"Of course she will. I brought ice-cream." I stated matter-of-factly as I pulled a carton of Ben & Jerry's ice-cream out of the plastic bag with a smirk and he shook his head at me slightly as he opened a drawer to grab two spoons. "Thanks."

"You're welcome." He replied easily as I took the spoons from his outstretched hand with a small smile and I picked up the plastic bag from the counter as Chris gestured with his hand for me to go down the hall to Allison's room. I nodded at him in thanks with a small smile as I headed down the familiar route to the young huntresses bedroom and I knocked on the closed wooden door at the end of the hallway.

"Come in!" Allie called out from inside the room as I shifted my hold on the bag in my hand and I opened the door to see her lying on her stomach on her bed with textbooks spread out over the quilt. She looked up from the text when the door opened and a grin spread across her lips as her dark brown eye lit up when she saw me in the doorway. "Sophie!"

"Hey! I come bearing gifts." I announced happily as I walked into the room and closed the door behind me as she sat up on the middle of the bed. I strolled over to her vanity room to the side of the room and placed the bag down on top as I turned to face my friend with a coy smirk on my lips.

"Ooh! What'd you bring me?!"

"First, we have your favourite ice-cream. Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia." I told her brightly as I pulled the carton of ice-cream out of the bag and her eyes went wide as she made a dramatic 'oohing' sound. I placed the carton down on the vanity table with a flourish as I quirked an eyebrow at her and I reached into the bag as I pulled out a bag of gummy bears. "Second, we have delicious gummy bears."

"Nice." Allison remarked giddily as she grinned at me with her hands clasped together under her chin and I bowed slightly with a grateful smile as I winked in her direction.

"And lastly, we have an assortment of other candies." I told her excitedly as I grabbed the plastic bag from the vanity table and tipped it upside down over the end of the bed as the a mixture of different bags of candy including marshmallows, Hershey's bars, M&M's, Red vines, Milk duds and Reese's peanut butter cups tumbled onto the bed.

"Wow. You certainly came prepared."

"Yes, well, we have things to discuss." I stated ominously as I sunk down onto the edge of the bed with a sly smirk on my lips and Allison's head snapped up from examining the candy to look at me with wide eyes.

"What- What do you mean?" she stuttered slightly with a nervous chuckle as she tucked a strand of her dark brown hair behind her ear and I gave her an exasperated look as I sprawled down on the end of the bed while picking up a peanut butter cup.

"I share a room with Isaac. I'm his best friend. Now, spill! I've only heard his version and he's a guy so he's not a reliable source."

"He told you?!"

"Yeah huh." I answered nonchalantly as I peeled off the wrapper with a shrug of my shoulders and she huffed out a sigh as she laid back down on her stomach with a shake of her head. "Come on, Allie. It's either me or Lydia. And you know Lydia is the worse of two evils. We need a few minutes of non-supernatural drama where two best friends can sit with a pint of ice-cream and gossip about boys. Normal teenage girl stuff. If things get crazy we can paint each other's nails, alright?"

"Fine. You're right. Get the ice-cream." She ordered me lightly with a smile on her lips as I squealed happily and jumped off the bed to grab the carton of ice-cream and spoons from the vanity counter. I sat cross legged at the end of the bed as Allison got comfortable on her stomach and I handed her a spoon with one hand as I opened the ice-cream with the other.

"Start at the beginning and go from there."

"Where exactly is the beginning?"

"Hmm. How about your little strip show the night Barrow kidnapped Kira?" I suggested innocently with a coy smirk on my lips as I stuck a spoonful of ice-cream into my mouth and she choked out a startled laugh as she ducked her head in embarrassment with her cheeks blushing scarlet.

"It wasn't like that!" she defended herself with a giggle as she playfully slapped my arm in reprimand and I winked back at her as she shook her head at me. "It was just… it was a split second decision, okay? Isaac tried to kiss me and I freaked out a little. After everything that happened with Scott, the idea of dating a werewolf made me a little hesitant to get involved with Isaac."

"'Get involved'? A kiss doesn't immediately mean you're stuck together for life." I reminded her softly as I licked the ice-cream off my lower lip with a quirked eyebrow and she made a humming noise in the back of her throat as she ate another spoonful of ice-cream. "Sometimes a kiss is just a kiss."

"Well, there was no kiss anyway."

"But there was stripping."

"Yes, yes, there was." Allison agreed with a laugh as she nodded her head and I chuckled along with her as I bit into gummy bear. "I was ranting about how he must be crazy to think I would ever kiss him or any other werewolf and Isaac just took his shirt off. It was so random, but…"

"You like him!" I stated cheerfully with a teasing smile as I poked her arm gently and she giggled quietly as she buried her face in the crook of her arm but I could see her grinning like mad. "You so like him!"

"I don't know." she said meekly with a faint smile on her lips as she looked up at me and tilted her head to the side with glint in her dark brown eyes. "I don't know. I just… I like how I feel when I'm with him. I feel so much more confident than usual. Like I can do anything. Never in a million years would I have stripped out of my shirt in front of someone I wasn't dating. You know that I was self-conscious even getting changed in front of you and Lydia when we were trying on clothes. Or like when we were at the blackout party, Isaac and I were talking about whatever we are and I just stripped off my shirt and straight up asked him, 'Do you want to talk about Scott or do you want to paint my body?' It's just so unlike me and I love it!"

"Maybe it's just another side of you. People aren't just one thing." I told her pointedly with a smile as I scraped the bottom of the ice-cream carton and she nodded sagely in thought as she placed the empty ice-cream carton on the floor besides the bed. "You can't expect people to stay exactly the same for their whole life. You're a teenager, Allison. You may be a kickass hunter but you're still just a teenage girl. You don't have to fit inside a dictated box, because let's face it, nothing in our lives are normal and to be honest, I don't want to be. Maybe you just needed Isaac to bring out the confident, sexy Allison that was hidden beneath the shy, sweet Allison."

"Is the shy, sweet Allison still there? Because I don't want to lose her."

"Of course she's still there. She's a part of you." I assured her softly with a small smile on my lips as I put my hand over hers and she turned her hand into mine so that our fingers were intertwined as she smiled at me gratefully.

"You're so insightful. Must be all the sugar." Allie remarked teasingly with a grin as she picked up a red vine and bit into the end of it as I hummed in acknowledgement to her comment.

"Yes, I'm sure that's it. I do basically operate on sugar and caffeine."

"You're addicted to them."

"Hey, everyone is allowed a vice and coffee is cheaper than meth." I joked lightly as I pointed a finger at her sternly with a smile playing on the edge of my lips and she burst out laughing, making her dimples stand out as she pushed on my shoulder playfully.

"Oh, I love you." She murmured breathlessly as she wiped a tear from under her eyes with a lazy smile and I chuckled lightly as I handed her another Red vine with a smile on my lips. "Thank you for being here for me. I've never had any really close girlfriends to talk to before."

"I love you too. And you don't have to worry about me going anywhere. You're stuck with me now, Allison Argent."

"You make it sound like torture. If this is torture, I think I can handle it." she commented thoughtfully as she popped a handful of M&M's into her mouth and I chuckled lightly as I nodded in agreement.

"Don't change the subject! I want to know what else has happened between you and Isaac." I said scoldingly as I pointed at her with a Red vine and she smirked at me teasingly as she snatched the candy out of my hand.

"I thought Isaac told you everything?"

"I haven't seen him since yesterday morning. I spent the night at the hospital with my dad." I explained sadly as I glanced down at the bedspread to avoid her sympathetic eyes and she silently handed me a candy bar instead of commenting on my sudden change in attitude. I smiled at her gratefully as I accepted the chocolate from her and I sighed slightly as I unwrapped it silently with my head tilted to the side. "So? Did anything happen while you were searching for Katashi?"

"Something may have happened." Allison admitted coyly as she grinned slightly with a blush spreading across her cheeks and I gasped playfully as I gently pushed on her shoulder. "Isaac was really nervous about posing as a weapons seller and I just gave him a bit of a pep talk and maybe a little bit of… incentive."

"You kissed him?!"

"I kissed him!" she gushed enthusiastically as she grinned happily with her dark brown eyes sparkling with mirth and I giggled at her euphoric expression as I leaned my chin on my hand with a smirk.

"Allison Beatrice Argent –"

"That's not my middle name."

" – you little minx." I finished coyly as I ignored her interruption and she flushed bright red as she buried her face in her hands with an embarrassed groan. I threw an M&M at her head as I laughed at her and she picked her head up with a sigh as she scrunched her nose up cutely with a faint smile.

"Okay! Okay, enough about me and Isaac. I want to know about you and Aiden." Allie said slyly with a smirk on her lips as she sat up cross legged on the bed and I followed her lead as a smile spread across my lips at the mere mention of my boyfriend.

"Being with Aiden is kind of like skydiving. It's such an adrenaline rush. It's terrifying and exciting and there's a part of you that knows it's going to hurt when you hit the ground. But there's also a little voice in the back of your mind reminding you that you have a parachute, that you're safe. And I love that. But I'm also kind of terrified that I'm going to do something to mess it up."

"What do you mean?" she asked me in concern with a frown etched on her lips as she tilted her head to the side and I sighed heavily in defeat as I fidgeted with the wrapper of a Hershey's bar.

"It's just – I've never been in a relationship before. Yeah, I've been on dates and I've had flings but never an actual relationship. I'm afraid I might do something incredibly stupid and ruin it before it even starts. Like, you know how I flirt with absolutely everyone?"

"Oh, absolutely. You've hit on me multiple times."

"Exactly! I mean, do I have to stop that now that I have a boyfriend? And what about Isaac? I share a bed with him every night. What if Aiden's not okay with that? It's not like I can kick Isaac out! And I wouldn't do that anyway. And what about Derek? What if Aiden doesn't want me to hang out with him because we had that fling last summer? Derek's one of my best friend's, I'm not going to stop seeing him." I rambled in a rush as I stared at her almost pleadingly with wide eyes and Allie grabbed my hand in hers as I snapped my mouth shut abruptly.

"Sophie, it's going to be okay. Aiden knew all of this before you two actually started dating, right?" she asked me softly in a soothing tone of voice as she rubbed her thumb over the back of my hand and I nodded numbly in answer to her question as she smiled slightly. "Okay, then. If Aiden had a problem with any of that, I'm sure he would've already said something to you. Besides, you are Sophie McCall! You don't let anyone tell you what to do. You are a badass werewolf slash druid with mastery over the elements and expert martial arts skills. You are strong and fierce and stubborn."

"You're right. I'm Sophie McCall. I don't care what other people think." I reminded myself firmly as I squeezed Allison's hands gratefully with a smile and she grinned back at me as she nodded once with a proud glint in her dark brown eyes. "Urgh. Is that what self-doubt feels like? I hate it."

"Welcome to the life of every other teenage girl in existence."
