Chapter 059: Tokiya Ichinose

It may have been a mistake to come, Tokiya thought to himself. Narrowing his turquoise-blue eyes, he cautiously watched as his girlfriend continued to brightly smile and pose for the camera.

He would be the first to admit that Kagome Higurashi was indeed beautiful. With her silky raven tresses, porcelain skin, gorgeous smile, and mysterious amethyst orbs, she embodied the envy of all women and the lust of all men. It had been that way ever since they had met in school. Tokiya was just happy to call her his own.

But that wasn't his problem. His problem was the overly friendly male Kagome was paired up with to do the photo shoot. Kagome claimed they were nothing but childhood friends, but Tokiya had his suspicions.

The other male – known by his stage name: Shippo Foxfire – had crimson hair, playful emerald eyes, lightly tanned skin that was natural instead of coming from a bottle, and stood close to six-feet-even. Based on personality alone, Tokiya suspected the redhead was related to Ren Jinguji. Both males were outrageous flirts.

Speaking of outrageous, he thought, nearly swallowing his tongue as he watched Shippo playfully grab Kagome around the waist and twirl her. Both were joyously laughing while the cameraman continued snapping pictures left and right, forever capturing the image. Tokiya would have interrupted the shoot but knew he had to be professional. He didn't normally lose his self control so easily, but Shippo seemed to be able to rile up his jealousy and possessiveness. The two emotions were nearly foreign to him as he had never felt the need to express them before.

But today was different.

Tokiya crossed his arms over his chest, mentally chanting, Keep it together, Ichinose. Keep it together. She's almost done. As soon as it's over, you can leave. Just keep your cool. Right. He could do this.

Then Shippo leaned forward to plant an affectionate kiss onto Kagome's cheek, winking mischievously at the camera.

Screw keeping it together. This ends now.

Before the dark blue haired male could take a step forward, the cameraman grinned as he called out, "Perfect! That should be all the footage we need. Great job, you two!"

"Thank you for your hard work," Kagome and Shippo responded, bowing at the waist to show their appreciation.

Tokiya quickly made his way forward, wanting to leave the agency as soon as possible. Mostly, he wanted Kagome as far away from Shippo as he could get her.

Kagome smiled happily at her boyfriend. "Toki-kun," she said, using the nickname she had given him, "thanks for waiting."

"No problem, Kagome," he replied, smiling softly. Turquoise-blue eyes hardened when they landed on the redhead standing a little too close for comfort. "Foxfire," he reluctantly greeted.

Shippo smirked. "Ichinose," he said back.

Kagome wrapped an arm around one of Tokiya's, affectionately squeezing the appendage. "We can leave in a few minutes. Just let me change out of this." She gestured to the outfit she had worn for the photo shoot. "It shouldn't take too long."

Tokiya nodded. "Take your time." He may want to rush out but he was still a gentleman.

"Be right back." Standing on tip-toe, she kissed his cheek then headed towards the wardrobe section.

Shippo called out after her retreating figure, "I'll text you later, Kagome. I'll send you the info for next week."

"Sounds good. Thanks, Shippo!" She disappeared in the next second behind a curtain.

And Tokiya was back to staring at the redhead with a suspicious look. "What's next week?" he inquired in his usual cool tone.

The other male gave him a fanged smirk. "I guess she didn't tell you yet. We're doing another photo shoot – for a new swimsuit line."

In response, his brow twitched as his only indication of annoyance.
