Chapter 15: Dark Danger Ahead

Yusei and I stepped aside to let the paramedics take care of Jack. One of them removed Jack's helmet and wrapped some bandage around his head while two other paramedics rolled out a stretcher to the Duel Runner course. Four paramedics picked up Jack as gently as they could and put him on the stretcher before strapping his body on it and covered him with a blanket.

"Excuse me, is Jack going to be okay?" I asked the paramedics.

"Don't worry, Mr. Atlas is gonna be fine", one of the male paramedics replied. "We just need to get him to the clinic for some routine test." He turned to Yusei and gave him a nod. "Oh, and congratulations, kid."

We watched the paramedics roll the stretcher away to hurry to the waiting ambulance outside of the Kaiba Dome. I could tell Yusei was worried about Jack, but there was nothing we could do now. Our heads snapped up when we heard voices from the stands shouting at Yusei for cheating in the Duel and a Satellite should return to the garbage island and other stuff. We ignored those bullies because they weren't worthy of our attention. Still, the majority cheered for Yusei for showing that a Satellite could be something more than just being a rat living in the dirt.

"Yusei! Estelle!" Leo's voice called.

The two of us turned around and saw how Yanagi, Tanner, and Leo rushed out to the Duel Runner course. Tanner went straight to Yusei's Duel Runner to secure it and roll it away.

"Hey, guys", Yusei called as Yanagi and Leo reached us. "Everyone okay?"

"We're fine, but you're about to face a brand new enemy!" Yanagi exclaimed as he pointed at the crowd with reporters not so far away from us that tried to get through a gate. "The media!"

Just one second after that, the media broke down the gate and they rushed towards us across the course, hoping to interview the new King of Games.

"They're loose!" Leo gasped.

"You had to jinx us, Yanagi!" I shouted irritably.

"Better rev it up!" Tanner called as he rolled Yusei's Duel Runner towards a garage.

"Coming!" Yusei nodded.

We didn't waste any time and ran off the course and followed Tanner towards the garage where Luna and Dexter were waiting. The ex-pro Duelist pushed something on the wall that opened a hidden path.

"Go, quick!" Tanner called as he rolled the Duel Runner into it.

The rest of us followed him, but I glanced over my shoulder to see the secret door was already closing before it got dark in the tunnel. I immediately heard Luna's scared whimper, so I squinted to spot her. She was walking next to Leo, but her hands were clenched to her chest. I stepped over to her and grabbed one of her hands, unfolding them so I could hold her properly. I could sense how her tense body relaxed once she had someone by her side.

"Man, it's so dark", Leo commented. "I can't even see my own feet."

"Hang on", Yusei called.

I heard how Yusei stepped over to his Duel Runner before he activated the headlights, lightning up the huge tunnel.

"Where are we?" Dexter questioned.

"This is an abandoned service tunnel", Tanner answered while he was still rolling Yusei's Duel Runner.

"Cool!" Dexter commented. "Hey, Tanner, how'd you know this was down here?"

"A guy like me knows these things", Tanner replied. "That, and Blister told me."

"I have no idea what happened to you in that light, but I'm just thrilled that you won the tournament, Yusei", Yanagi smiled.

"I knew you could do it, Yusei!" Leo said excitedly. "You're like the best Duelist I've ever seen! You're like my hero!" Dexter nodded in agreement.

"Forget the tournament", Tanner interfered. "The whole thing was a setup on Goodwin's part. Let's not forget; the only reason Yusei and Estelle agreed to Duel was 'cause he captured their friends. Until we figure out what the whole story is, we should lay low at Blister's hideout. Leo and Luna, you should probably come and stay with us too."

"Are you serious?!" Leo asked excitedly. "Awesome! It'll be like sleep-away camping, only even better!"

"Leo, try and take this seriously", I told him.

"But I am serious!" Leo retorted.

"Yusei…", Luna spoke up, getting our attention. "I don't know how, but Estelle, Aki, and I were able to see inside that weird light. We saw you guys Dueling and…"

"We saw the purple-glowing Spider Mark destroy the Satellite", I finished.

"That was the future, wasn't it?" Luna questioned.

"I have no idea", Yusei replied. "But if that was some kind of vision of the future, then we have to stop it from happening."

"It won't be easy, but it's only the Signers who can stop this danger", I spoke up, before I blinked my eyes, realizing my mistake.

"Wait, you know somethin' about this hocus-pocus too, Estelle?" Tanner asked.

I looked away from the others as I tightened slightly my hold on Luna's hand. "You could say that."

"What is a Signer?" Luna questioned.

"Allow me, Luna!" Yanagi got in between us, forcing me to let go of Luna's hand. "I can tell you everything there is to know, but before I explain what a Signer is, I'll have to give you some backstory by thrilling you with tales of my numerous archeological adventures around the world!"

"Um… Okay?" Luna said hesitantly.

I let out a small sigh before rubbing the back of my head. This day had been too much for me, so I could feel how my brain was sending the warning signs of taking a break.

"You okay, Estelle?" Yusei asked as he walked next to me.

"Yeah, just a bit tired", I replied.

"Did Goodwin ever ask you for something?" Yusei questioned.

"He just wanted to know where I got my Blue-Eyes White Dragon", I half-lied.

Yusei eyed me suspiciously before he shrugged and looked ahead. I let out an internal sigh of relief that he didn't ask me to tell everything I knew right now. It was bad timing and we were all kind of tired after this long day.

XXXXXXXXXX

The sun was setting when we returned to Blister's apartment in the Daimon Area. Dexter managed to call a cab and told us to be careful before he left the area. The rest of us went up to the apartment while Yusei and Tanner secured the red Duel Runner in the garage before joining us. Yanagi found a piece of paper and a red pencil and started working on a sketch. It took him some time to concentrate on his memories because he saw the complete Mark of the Dragon a long time ago.

"Now bear in mind that I'm not an artist and I only saw it that one time, but the Dragon Seal looked something like this", Yanagi said once he was done.

We leaned forward to check the sketch of the Mark of the Dragon. It was pretty much close to the real deal, except it didn't have the Heart Mark. I had always wondered about the speculations of Leo's Mark in the past of how and when the Heart was ever added in the first official Mark of the Dragon.

"That's the dragon's tail", Yusei pointed at the tail of the sketch, surprising me that he didn't make a mistake as in the anime.

"What is it? What about the tail?" Leo asked.

"Look", Yusei rolled up the sleeve of his jacket, revealing his Tail Mark.

"That looks just like it", Leo gaped before turning to his sister. "Hey, Luna, let's see your Mark." Luna pulled up her sleeve and revealed the Hand Mark of the Dragon. "So Luna's Mark looks like the claw thingy. What's that mean?"

"According to legend…", Yanagi began slowly. "…The Crimson Dragon's head, wings, hands, legs, and tail were split into five parts and then sealed away as Marks on the original Signers. The Marks were then passed down through the generations."

"But, right now, we only know about four Signers", Tanner stated. "So how is the Crimson Dragon summoned if only four of them are gathered?"

"I guess the fifth Signer must've been somewhere in that arena", Yanagi speculated.

"Go on, Estelle", the Crimson Dragon's voice suddenly spoke in my head. "Tell them about your role."

I took a deep breath to prepare myself mentally for the revelation of my role. "Yanagi."

"Yeah?" he looked at me.

"Do you remember finding something related to a Crimson Star Priestess?" I questioned.

"Crimson Star Priestess, you say…?" Yanagi mumbled as he scratched the top of his head while thinking deeply.

"What's that? A Signer-like thingy?" Leo questioned.

"That's it!" Yanagi exclaimed as he snapped his fingers. "I remember now! When I heard about the Signers, there was a myth about a sixth person. That person was not a Signer, but it was said she had a direct connection to the Crimson Dragon and could communicate with it, but not summon it on her own. That's why she needed the five Signers' powers to fulfill the summoning of the God in the moment of crisis. She was known as the Crimson Star Priestess who watched over the Dragon Star and carried the Mark of the Crimson Star on her arm. But the thing about her Mark is, it wasn't passed down in generations. The Crimson Dragon had to choose a woman fitting for the role." He stared at me curiously. "How'd you know about the Priestess, lass?"

I hesitated for a second before I pulled up the sleeve of my black top to reveal my Star Mark. "Because I'm carrying the Mark of the Crimson Star."

Everyone gaped in surprise or shock as they stared at the pentagram on my arm. Yanagi was the one who had the biggest expression with big eyes and a widen mouth as he released a cry of shock.

"YOU ARE THE CRIMSON STAR PRIESTESS!" Yanagi exclaimed before smiling widely. "I always knew you had a connection to the Signers, but I never expected you to be the Priestess!"

"How did you know I was related to the Signers?" I raised an eyebrow suspiciously.

"Well, I noticed ever since I first met you that you have a different aura around you", Yanagi explained as he calmed down. "My theories were confirmed at the Fortune Cup when you tried reaching out to Aki. The Crimson Star Priestess is said to have a much stronger bond with the Signers through the Marks. She always had this motherly and protective instinct when it came to the Signers. She was also known to have created miracles when all hope seemed lost."

I looked away as I took in Yanagi's words. "I can understand most parts of the Crimson Star Priestess's role, but I have never created any miracles; at least, not from what I can remember."

"You did create a miracle! Today!" Yanagi exclaimed, getting my attention. "You managed to reach out to Aki and she accepted you! Isn't that a miracle?"

Well… When he said it like that… Maybe that was indeed a miracle, because Yusei was the one who originally reached out to Aki, but I took his place now.

"So Estelle's the Priestess", Leo counted on his fingers. "Luna's a Signer, Jack's a Signer, Aki's a Signer, and Yusei's a Signer. So who's the other one?" He began checking himself enthusiastically as he raised his shirt to check his abdomen. "Maybe it's me! Maybe I have a Mark somewhere!"

"A Mark is not just given to you, Leo", I told him. "A Mark is earned by the Crimson Dragon."

"But why was I born with it?" Luna questioned.

"I remember Jack had his Mark ever since he was a toddler too", Yusei pointed out.

"Maybe the Crimson Dragon already sensed Luna and Jack were special when they were just an embryo and decided to bless them with two of his Marks once they were born", I speculated. "But the Crimson Dragon has the power to remove the Mark from a Signer if he finds them unworthy or unfitting for the role."

"Can he remove your Mark too, Estelle?" Tanner wondered.

"I don't know", I shook my head. "I haven't asked him that yet."

I noticed how Luna started to a bit pale. I walked over to her just as her knees gave up. I managed to grab her before she could collapse on the floor, bringing her up in my arms in bridal style.

"Luna!" Leo called worriedly as he stood next to me and grabbed one of Luna's hands.

"Is she okay?" Yusei asked, concerned.

"Luna, what's wrong?" Leo asked worriedly.

"It's nothing… I'm just… I'm just a little tired or something…", Luna mumbled tiredly.

"Well, that's understandable", Tanner said. "We've all had a crazy couple of days. Let's try to get some rest."

I nodded as I kept carrying Luna. "There's enough space in Blister's bed for me and the twins, so we'll sleep in his bedroom."

"Gotcha", Tanner nodded. "Then the rest of us sleep here for the night."

XXXXXXXXXX

I caught only a few hours of sleep before I woke up, sensing a dark power approaching the Daimon Area. I lied at the edge of the bed while Leo and Luna slept at the most part of the bed. Luna had curled herself close to Leo and Leo had wrapped an arm around her during the sleep. The sibling bond they had was adorable and heart-melting.

I sat up on the bed and stood up without waking the twins. I grabbed my glasses from the nightstand next to the bed and put them on. I grabbed my jacket and put it on because it was still cold at night despite being summer. I opened the door soundlessly and stepped into the main room where Yanagi, Tanner, and Yusei were staying. Yanagi slept soundly on one couch while Tanner sat on the other and slept like that. Yusei was awake and stared at the sketch of the complete Mark of the Dragon on the main desk.

"Can't sleep…?" I whispered as I approached him.

Yusei snapped his head up when he heard me. "Yeah…"

I could tell he was worried about the upcoming danger with the Dark Signers, but he didn't know about them yet. "Worried about the vision…?"

Yusei nodded before he walked over to the windows. I followed him quietly so I wouldn't wake up Tanner and Yanagi. I stood next to the young man as we looked out the windows, seeing the cloudless sky and the skyscrapers in the distance.

"I grew up at the Satellite, so that place is precious to me… If that darkness is really trying to destroy my home, I've got to stop it…", Yusei said with a determined expression.

"Yes, but not alone…", I replied. "You Signers must come together and fuse your strength into one if you want to protect the Satellite and New Domino City…"

Yusei turned to me with questioning looks. "Estelle… Do you know something about that Spider Mark we saw…?"

"Yes…", I nodded. "Do you want me to tell you-"

I couldn't finish my sentence when I felt my Mark burning in pain. It felt like a hundred tiny bites by ants at the same time. Yusei grunted quietly too as his Mark glowed through his jacket.

"My Mark's never felt like this before…", Yusei mumbled.

"It's a sign…", I told him. "The darkness is coming…"

I turned to the window and saw a shadowy figure at the street outside wearing a black cloak. His arm was glowing in a purple light that resembled the Spider Mark from before.

"Is that the fifth Signer…?!" Yusei whispered in disbelief.

I narrowed my eyes at Yusei. "Seriously, Yusei…? His arm is glowing in purple… A Signer's Mark will always glow in red or crimson…" I turned around and grabbed my Duel Disk from the main desk, glad that I didn't remove my Deck from it.

"Then who is that…?" Yusei questioned as we hurried to the door.

"The evil force that's coming to ruin the Satellite…", I told him.

That was enough answer for Yusei. We rushed down to the garage so Yusei could put on his Duel Disk on the Wrist Dealer before we got out of the apartment building. We looked around to see the black-cloaked figure was gone, but we saw him running far away in the shadows. We ran after him as fast as we could until we found ourselves standing outside of an open parking garage.

"Where's he going…?" Yusei panted softly.

I rested my hands on my knees while trying to catch my breath after running. I seriously had to work out more from now on. I glanced up and saw the suspected Shadow Drone disappearing in the garage.

"He's at the top floor", I pointed at the second floor.

Yusei and I found a way in and ran upward until we reached top floor where I had spotted the Shadow Drone. There were only a few cars around, but there were no signs of the black-cloaked man. Yusei and I stood next to each other as we tried to find the Shadow Drone. I used my powers to sense the evil power from the fake Spider Mark right behind me. Without forewarning Yusei, I spun around and tried to punch the Shadow Drone with my left fist. However, the Shadow Drone managed to block my attack with his Duel Disk. I hissed slightly as my knuckle throbbed in pain after hitting hard steel instead of soft flesh.

"Nice try", the Shadow Drone chuckled.

Yusei turned around as both of us backed away from the Shadow Drone. "You shouldn't sneak up on people like that!" The Shadow Drone just chuckled in amusement. "Who are you?! We saw the glow on your arm! Are you the fifth Signer?!"

"I am a Shadow Drone", the black-cloaked man replied. "And if you seek the truth, then my master says you must Duel me for it." He activated his Duel Disk without hesitation.

"Why am I not surprised? Alright, you got yourself a Duel!" Yusei agreed, activating his own Duel Disk.

"I'm joining you, Yusei!" I said, activating my Duel Disk.

"But, Estelle-", Yusei began.

"Let her Duel with us", the Shadow Drone said. "And I'll generous and let the Priestess play the first turn."

I turned to Yusei as my Duel Disk shuffled my Deck. "Yusei, remember that you're not alone. You Signers and I have to join forces to defeat the evil threat; this is not a single man's game."

Yusei stared at me for a moment before nodding. "Got it." He turned to the Shadow Drone as his Duel Disk shuffled his Deck.

"Let's do this!" the three of us shouted, commencing the Duel by drawing our first five cards.

Estelle + Yusei: 4000 LP

Shadow Drone: 4000 LP

Just as we commenced the Duel, a purple mist appeared out of nowhere and created a ring, trapping us inside of it.

Yusei looked at the purple mist surrounding us. "What's going on?"

"You two and I have been offered up by the light and placed inside the Energy Ring of the Eternal Shadow. I'm afraid there's no turning back now", the Shadow Drone explained.

"What're you talking about?!" Yusei demanded.

"You'll see", the Shadow Drone replied. "Priestess, make your move!"

"Will do!" I nodded as I drew my sixth card.

I had Maiden with Eyes of Blue, Dragon Knight of Creation, One for One, United We Stand, and Burst Stream of Destruction in my hand. The sixth card I drew was Swords of Revealing Light.

"I start my turn by summoning Maiden with Eyes of Blue in defense mode!" I put the card on the Duel Disk.

Maiden with Eyes of Blue came out from a gate and spun around before she went down on her knees and started to pray.

Maiden with Eyes of Blue, Level 1, Tuner: DEF 0

"And with that, I end my turn", I nodded.

The Shadow Drone snorted amusingly. "Scared, Priestess? Well, you should be." He drew his sixth card. "I summon Blizzard Lizard in defense mode!"

A nasty lizard that had white and dark blue fur came out from a gate and joined the Shadow Drone's side.

Blizzard Lizard, Level 3: DEF 1800

"Next, I place one card facedown and end my turn", the Shadow Drone said as one facedown card appeared on his Spell/Trap Card Zone. "Your move, Signer."

"I draw!" Yusei called. "I'm activating the Tuning Spell card! With this Spell, I can add one Tuner Monster from my Deck to my hand as long as I get rid of the same number of cards as that Monster's Level." His Duel Disk shuffled his card before he grabbed the card that stuck out from the Deck. "And since Junk Synchron is a Level 3, I'm sending three cards from my Deck to my Graveyard." He took the top three cards of his Deck and sent them to the Graveyard. "Next, I summon Junk Synchron to the field in attack mode!"

The orange Junk Monster appeared on the field, looking feisty and ready for action.

Junk Synchron, Level 3, Tuner: ATK 1300

"But that's just the beginning", Yusei added. "When Junk Synchron is successfully summoned, I can Special summon out a Level 2 Monster from my Graveyard to keep it company. I call out Speed Warrior!"

Junk Synchron opened a gate with his power and allowed the familiar Duel Monster with gas mask and skates join us.

Speed Warrior, Level 2: DEF 400

"And now with both of them on the field, Junk Synchron can give Speed Warrior a tune-up", Yusei continued as the two Monsters fused into to one for a Synchro summoning. "Now, Junk Warrior, let's rev it up!"

Junk Warrior took Junk Synchron and Speed Warrior's place and punched the air once he was out.

Junk Warrior, Level 5: ATK 2300

"Junk Warrior, attack Blizzard Lizard with Scrap Fist!"

Junk Warrior flew towards the lizard Monster with his fist ready to beat it into pieces.

"Not so fast!" the Shadow Drone called.

Blizzard Lizard's tail started to spin and created a cloud of snow behind it. When Junk Warrior destroyed the Monster, the cloud of snow erupted into a strong blizzard that affected both me and Yusei. I could feel the blizzard on my body and it was extremely cold. I could also see how the blizzard created real damage to the concrete around us.

"What's going on?!" Yusei shouted as he used his right hand to shield his face from the snow while he was forced down on his knees.

"Blizzard Lizard's effect is going on", the Shadow Drone replied. "When this card is destroyed in battle, you get hit with 300 points of direct damage."

Estelle + Yusei: 4000 LP – 3700 LP

Shadow Drone: 4000 LP

"Are you okay, Yusei?" I asked worriedly as I placed my right hand on his shoulder.

"I'm fine", Yusei nodded as he got up on his feet. "But what's going on?" He looked around and saw the damage in the garage. "Did my attack create real damage? Is that what this Energy Ring is about? It makes battle damage real?"

"I believe so", I nodded as I removed my hand from him. "I don't know if I have psychic powers, but I know for certain this isn't my doing."

The Shadow Drone laughed, getting our attention.

"Okay, I get it!" Yusei growled as he placed two cards facedown and ended his turn. "You're gonna be like that!"

"It's my move now. I draw!" the Shadow Drone called. "First, I'm activating the Call of the Haunted Trap card!" His facedown flipped up. "This card lets me select one Monster from my Graveyard and summon it into attack mode. So I'm bringing back Blizzard Lizard."

The fur lizard jumped out from the Trap card to the field, eager for action.

Blizzard Lizard, Level 3: ATK 600

"With that done, I activate the Ice Mirror Spell card from my hand", the Shadow Drone continued. "So with the power of this card, I'm bringing out another Blizzard Lizard to the field in attack mode!"

A second furry lizard appeared on the field, licking its lips with its long tongue.

Blizzard Lizard, Level 3: ATK 600

"And now, I'll play this", the Shadow Drone played another Ice Mirror card.

"Another Ice Mirror Spell?!" Yusei questioned.

"That's right. And with it, I Special summon out a third Blizzard Lizard!" the Shadow Drone declared.

The Shadow Drone's third and last Blizzard Lizard joined its siblings on the field.

Blizzard Lizard, Level 3: ATK 600

"What are you going to do with those three Blizzard Lizards?" Yusei questioned.

"Well, I'm Tributing two of them to make some room for my Level 8 Dark Tuner Catastrogue!" the Shadow Drone said.

The Blizzard Lizard that was summoned by the Call of the Haunted card and one of the other two summoned by the Ice Mirror Spell card fused into a rainbow-colored orb before transforming into Dark Tuner Catastrogue. It looked like a misshaped demon with a mask that covered half its face and had a horn attached to it.

Dark Tuner Catastrogue, Level 8, Dark Tuner: ATK 0

"A Dark Tuner?" Yusei questioned.

I cold sweated when I realized what was going to happen next. "Be careful, Yusei… The real gun's coming out now."

The Shadow Drone chuckled, "The Priestess is right. Now, Dark Tuner Catastrogue, use your power to extinguish the light by absorbing the energy of Blizzard Lizard! Let the Dark Shadows rise!" Dark Tuner Catastrogue transformed into eight Level Stars before they spun around Blizzard Lizard. "The shadows wield the power like nothing you've ever seen!"

The eight Level Stars got glued on Blizzard Lizard before the Monster's body turned transparent. Its three Level Stars were absorbed by three of Dark Tuner Catastrogue's Level Stars before the remaining Stars' color changed from white to a sickening black color.

"The Stars turned just dark! What's that all about?!" Yusei asked.

"The light is being consumed by the shadows!" the Shadow Drone replied. "Where as you combine Monsters to make them more powerful, my Monsters feed on one another and absorb each other to create Negative Energy!"

"I thought Negative Energy was only a theory!" Yusei stated.

"Think again, Signer! Negative Energy is very real!" the Shadow Drone chuckled before revealing the card of the Dark Synchro Monster; Frozen Fitzgerald. "The Monster I'm Synchro summoning is a Negative Level 5!"

"No way!" Yusei gaped in disbelief.

The Shadow Drone raised his arms up as if he was doing a ritual. "When the shadows are devoured by even darker shadows, the curtain pulls back and reveals a world without light!" The five Negative Stars combined into one as a beacon of dark light entered the field. "Come forth, Frozen Fitzgerald!"

The air got even colder than before as the Dark Synchro Monster appeared on the field. It was made entirely by ice that seemed to be impossible to melt or break into pieces.

Frozen Fitzgerald, Level -5: ATK 2500

"A Dark Synchro summon?! How do we battle that?!" Yusei gaped.

"By never giving up!" I told Yusei as I stood ready with my Duel Disk. "We both have overcome obstacles in the past, Yusei! Don't let this Shadow Drone push you down!"

"Right!" Yusei nodded before glaring at the Shadow Drone. "What're you planning to do to the Satellite?"

"Continue the Duel, and I'll tell you everything", the Shadow Drone simply replied.

"Fine then…", Yusei growled.

"You're no match for the darkness, Signer and Priestess!" the Shadow Drone taunted us. "And I'll prove it to you by playing the Dark Tuner Catastrogue, which will send your Monster to the Shadows!"

Dark Tuner Catastrogue came out from the Shadow Drone's Duel Disk and teleported itself so he was in front of Junk Warrior.

"What's happening?" Yusei questioned.

The question was answered when Dark Tuner Catastrogue destroyed Junk Warrior by sending an energy ball from the orb on its abdomen.

"Junk Warrior, no!" Yusei cried.

"Like the fly caught in the web, there's no escape!" the Shadow Drone laughed. "Frozen Fitzgerald, attack the pretty butterflies!"

Frozen Fitzgerald raised its two arms and shot several ice shards toward me and Maiden with Eyes of Blue. I could see from the corner of my eye how Yusei watched in horror while he reached his right hand to activate one of his facedowns. I quickly raised my right hand and wagged the point finger, telling him not to do that. He blinked confusedly and stopped his hand, but still looked concerned.

"You're the one who's now caught in our web, Shadow Drone!" I shouted. "Maiden with Eyes of Blue's effect activates! When she's targeted for an attack, she can negate it and change her battle position!"

Maiden with Eyes of Blue raised up on her two feet and held out her arms to create an ice blue dome to protect herself.

Maiden with Eyes of Blue, Level 1, Tuner: DEF 0 – ATK 0

The ice shards bounced on the dome for a moment before Frozen Fitzgerald gave up, ending the Battle Phase.

"But that's not all!" I added. "When Maiden with Eyes of Blue's effect activates, she can call forth the dragon she worships!" My Duel Disk shuffled the Deck before I grabbed the certain card. "So say hello to an even icier Monster; Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

Maiden with Eyes of Blue began singing a song while intertwining her hands. A gate next to her opened before Blue-Eyes White Dragon flew out and joined us, baring his teeth at the Dark Synchro Monster and the Shadow Drone.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Level 8: ATK 3000

"Pah! So the Priestess was able to create a miracle and save her petty little Signer!" the Shadow Drone spat sarcastically. "You're no match for the forces I represent. Soon, like all light in the universe, you too shall fade."

"Who are you?! Are you working for Goodwin?!" Yusei growled at the Shadow Drone.

"Him? Not quite", the Shadow Drone shrugged. "I end my turn."

"Estelle, be careful what you do next", Yusei told me.

"We sense your fear", the Shadow Drone smirked. "It grows like wax in night. Like my Monsters, the Dark Signers will always win!"

"What? Is that who you are?" Yusei blinked his eyes confusedly.

"Don't be so surprised", the Shadow Drone snorted. "Light and dark are two sides of one coin. We're the same."

"Sorry, never got the membership kit", Yusei replied sarcastically.

"Amusing. But will you find it as funny when your world is destroyed?"

"So the vision was true?!"

"That's right. The Dark Signers possess a power that will erase the light of your Mark and everything you hope to save with it. As for the Crimson Star Priestess, she will be destroyed and banished to the Netherworld before she can create more miracles that prevent us Dark Signers from ruling the world!"

"None of that will happen as long as my heart beats as one with the Signers!" I shouted as I drew Dust Tornado, starting my turn.

I took a quick glance at my hand. If I wanted to end this Duel fast, I had to do something extreme. It was a combo I rarely used back in my dimension, but maybe it could work now.

"I start my turn by activating Burst Stream of Destruction!" I called, playing said Spell card. "This gives Blue-Eyes White Dragon the power to destroy your Monster, Shadow Drone!"

Blue-Eyes White Dragon opened his mouth before releasing an energy beam that was similar to his White Lightning, but it had some wind elements added. Frozen Fitzgerald was destroyed, leaving the Shadow Drone's field empty.

"Uh… That was…unexpected", the Shadow Drone said nervously before a smirk grew on his lips. "But you can't take out all my Life Points this turn! Even if you attack with your dragon, I'll still have 1000 Life Points left!"

"That's why I'll take the next step!" I said determinedly. "Because I used Burst Stream of Destruction, Blue-Eyes White Dragon can't attack this turn, but I know another dragon that can. I tune Level 1 Maiden with Eyes of Blue with Level 8 Blue-Eyes White Dragon to Synchro summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon's second Synchro form!"

"It's got another Synchro form?!" Yusei exclaimed in disbelief.

Maiden with Eyes of Blue floated up and planted a kiss on the dragon's forehead before they fused into one.

"I Synchro summon Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon!" I called.

A dragon with complete white scales and hints of gold here and there appeared on the field before releasing a roar.

Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, Level 9: ATK 2500

"Unbelievable…", Yusei mumbled in awe.

"What exactly were you thinking, Priestess? That lizard's attack points are not even close enough to finish me! You must have done the math homework wrong!" the Shadow Drone mocked me while laughing.

"I'm far from being done", I retorted. "I now activate One for One!" Said Spell card appeared on the field. "I discard my Dragon Knight of Creation to summon a Level 1 Monster from my Deck, and the one I choose is the White Stone of Legend." I sent said Monster card to the Graveyard as the Duel Disk shuffled the Deck before it was done and one card was sticking out, which I grabbed and slammed on the Duel Disk.

The White Stone of Legend appeared next to Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, glowing in a gentle white light.

The White Stone of Legend, Level 1, Tuner: ATK 300

"By placing two cards facedown on the field, I've got the conditions to summon a horror Monster that will cause you major destruction, Shadow Drone!" I said as I put Dust Tornado and Swords of Revealing Light facedown. "I tune Level 1 White Stone of Legend with Level 9 Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon to summon the three-headed dragon from the burning Hell!"

The White Stone of Legend and Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon fused together into one as a bright fiery light broke out.

"I Synchro summon Trident Dragion!"

Once the light died down, a giant dragon with red scales, two big wings and three necks with one head on each roared three times harder than Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, causing the parking garage to shake violently.

Trident Dragion, Level 10: ATK 3000

"When the White Stone of Legend is sent to the Graveyard, I can add a Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my Deck to my hand", I said as I added my second Blue-Eyes White Dragon card after the Duel Disk shuffled my Deck. "But Trident Dragion's effect also activates when he's Synchro summoned. I can destroy up to two cards I control and it will give Trident Dragion additional attacks during the Battle Phase this turn. So, Trident Dragion, feast on my two facedowns."

Trident Dragion turned around and stared at my two facedowns before two of his heads snapped down and dug their teeth through the cards. The two heads gobbled the facedowns as the body glowed in a fiery aura once they finished eating.

"That means Trident Dragion can attack three times this round!" Yusei's eyes widened in shock. "It's 9000 points of damage in total!"

"No… No…! It can't be!" the Shadow Drone panicked as he dropped his two cards in his hand.

"Evil force inside this innocent man's body, be gone at once! Trident Dragion, attack!" I commanded.

Trident Dragion opened his three mouths and released three flamethrowers at the Shadow Drone. He cried out in pain as the flames seemed to burn down his Shadow Drone cloak, but it was hard to see through the bright flames. However, this Duel was luckily a victory.

Shadow Drone: 4000 LP – 0 LP

And this was my first Tag Duel with Yusei. One of my dreams had come true! I was certain I sounded like a hyper-fangirl, so that was why I only cheered inside my heart.
