A/N: Sorry this chapter took so long but I was procrastinating, for obvious reasons. I didn't want to write the ending.

Daughter. Friend. Warrior. Hero.

Forever Living In Our Hearts.

Insatiable:

"Don't fight it. Hold still. Almost there." Deaton instructed Ethan breathlessly as he shoved his hand further down the werewolf's throat and I grimaced in disgust as he gagged against the intrusion. The cold water of the locker room shower splashed off of the tiled floor and I had to turn away as the vet extracted the Nogitsune fly that had possessed him from the back of Ethan's throat. It amazed me that such a tiny little creature could cause such havoc but I didn't doubt it anymore. I glared at the fly as Deaton dropped it down the drain so that it could be washed away and a soaking wet Ethan sighed in relief as he stumbled out of the shower stall.

"Isaac, you're next." I stated quietly as I pushed the Beta towards Deaton with a blank expression and he started to protest as the emissary hauled him under the cold spray of water. We had already gone through this process with Aiden and Ethan so I knew what to expect as Deaton roughly shoved his hand into Isaac's mouth.

"Don't fight it. Don't fight. Isaac, stay still. Got it." Deaton ordered sternly as the Beta's eyes flashed between his normal steely blue and burning amber. Isaac gagged in objection as he tried to pull Deaton's arms away from him but the vet just held on tighter until he pulled away with the Nogitsune fly in his hand. Isaac stumbled backwards with a pained grimace as he clutched at his throat and Allison rushed forward to steady him.

"Are they okay now?" I asked the emissary hopefully as I clutched Aiden's arm tightly as though he would disappear on me and Deaton turned to me with a sympathetic frown as he shrugged unsurely.

"I hope so. The part that's worrisome, is that this was most likely just a distraction for what was happening to Stiles."

"There's really two of them now?" Kira asked in concern as she glanced around at the virtual strangers surrounding her and I nodded numbly as I licked my lower lip while looking down at the ground. "How's that even possible?"

"And how did the other one just take Lydia?" Allie asked sadly as she looked over at me for an answer and I meet her dark brown eyes with the same miserable frown she wore.

"We turned around and they were gone. So was her car." Deaton explained earnestly as he crossed his arms over his chest with a shrug and I took a deep breath as Aiden pulled my closer to his side, knowing that I needed comfort but not wanting to admit it.

"So no one notices him just kidnapping her right out of the house?" Isaac asked incredulously as he looked around with both eyebrows raised in question and I felt my blood boil with anger as I released my death grip on Aiden's arm.

"Most of us were concentrated on the bizarre sight of a creature, materializing from out of the floor." I snapped at him in irritation as I glared at him heatedly and he held up his hands in surrender as he stepped backwards.

"Hold on. How are you so sure which Stiles is which?" Allison asked Deaton as she grabbed Isaac's arm to pull him to her side so that I didn't attack him and I sighed in defeat as I ran a hand through my hair in frustration.

"That's what they're trying to figure out now." I informed them sagely as I pursed my lips together and leaned into Aiden's side as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "Stiles asked Scott to call Kira's mom."

"He what?" Kira asked incredulously as she stepped forward with wide eyes and I nodded slightly as I cleared my throat delicately.

"Yeah, he wants her to call the Oni. Make sure he's not still possessed by the Nogitsune."

"That's insane! They're going to stab him with swords!"

"Yes, thank you, Kira! I was totally in the dark about what it was the demonic, sword swinging ninja were going to do to my brother." I snapped at her in frustration as I narrowed my eyes and her eyes widened slightly as she glanced down at the ground awkwardly.

"Sophie…" Aiden whispered to me as his lips brushed the outer shell of my ear and I closed my eyes momentarily as I took a deep breath to calm myself down.

"Sorry, Kira." I apologised honestly as I ran a hand through my hair in frustration and offered her a small smile as she nodded slightly with the same bewilderment expression. "I'm just – I'm really stressed at the moment. Obviously."

"It – it's okay." Kira said softly with a small quirk of her lips as she nodded at me and

"I should get going. I want to be there when it happens."

"Do you – do you mind if I come with you? I might be able to stop my mom."

"Sure. Let's go." I agreed easily with a tired smile as I nodded at her and then turned to face Aiden as he immediately leaned down to press his lips to mine. I kissed him back softly as he cupped my cheek gently with his hand and he pulled back to rest his forehead against mine as he pressed another small kiss to the corner of my lip. "I'll see you later."

"Bye." Aiden said softly as he brushed a strand of my hair behind my ear with sad smile and I kissed him once more as I squeezed his hand gently. He returned the gesture as I smiled at him and then I started towards the locker room door with Kira hurrying to catch up behind me. I pulled my car keys from my pocket as I headed for the parking lot and I slid into the driver's seat of the Camaro as Kira jogged to the passenger side. I kept my gaze locked on the road in front of me as I pulled out of the parking lot and I noticed Kira tapping her fingers on her thigh in my peripheral vision. I bit the inside of my cheek to stop myself from saying anything as she shifted in her seat uncomfortably and I tightened my grip on the steering wheel as she glanced at me from the corner of her eyes numerous times.

"Why are you fidgeting? You're driving me nuts!"

"Uh, um, I'm not fidgeting." She stammered nervously as she shook her head wildly and I shot her a disbelieving look as she avoided my gaze by looking down at her lap.

"Is this because of your 'thing' with Scott?"

"'Thing'? What –what 'thing'? There's no 'thing'!"

"Are you an idiot? Of course there's a 'thing'." I replied with a scoff as I rolled my eyes at her and she instantly spun her head around to look at me with wide eyes.

"You think there's a 'thing'?" she asked me in a small voice leaking with poorly disguised hope and I stared at her blankly as I shook my head at her naivety.

"I'm going to say this really slowly, because apparently, it's not getting through to you. There's. A. Thing. You and Scott have a 'thing'. Now, why the hell are you so nervous around me? Is it because foxes and wolves aren't meant to get along? Or because I'm slightly sociopathic? Or because you're trying to get in my twin brother's pants?"

"What!? No! I'm – I'm not trying to –"

"Yes, you are. Don't lie to me." I interrupted her sternly as I threw her a mock glare before turning back to the road and Kira stuttered incomprehensively as she looked between me and the road frantically. "Look, you have nothing to be nervous about around me. Why would you? Trust me, if I was out to get you, you'd know about it."

"It's not that I'm nervous." She denied softly as she clasped her hands together on her lap and I scoffed delicately when her heartbeat skipped a beat to indicate she was lying.

"Lie. I'm a werewolf, honey. I can hear your heart skip when you lie to me. Now, try the truth. No judgement, I promise."

"Scott's your brother." Kira blurted loudly as though it should have been obvious as she turned her whole body to face me and I slapped the top of steering wheel lightly as I turned my head to give her a sarcastic look.

"That's where I know him from!"

"No, I mean, Scott's your brother, he cares about what you think, right? So, what if I say something wrong? Or insensitive? Or just totally horrible and you decide that you hate me? Then Scott will hate me. And I don't want him to hate me. I don't want you to hate me either, because I really think we could be friends, you know?"

"You think way too much." I muttered quietly as I shook my head at her rambling and she sighed heavily in defeat as though my comment was proving her point. "Okay, first of all, Scott's his own person and he can make his own decisions on who to date. Just like I can. Do you really think Scott approves of me dating Aiden? No. Aiden's a total jackass."

"Then why are you dating him?" Kira asked me in confusion as she furrowed her eyebrows together and I chuckled lightly with a smirk as I gave her a pointed look, making her blanch when she got my meaning.

"Aiden's a total jackass, to other people. Not to me. He just – he gets me. When I'm with him, everything else just fades away. All the bad shit that we're going through, it just becomes obsolete when I'm with him. And that, my dear, is why I'm dating him."

"It sounds nice. I've never had anything like that."

"You will. Maybe Scott will be your Aiden." I teased her lightly with a sly grin as I looked at her from the corner of my eye and she blushed bright red as she ducked her head with a smile. "Now, second of all, I already like you, Kira. You don't need to try so hard all the time. Just be you, alright?"

"I am being me."

"You're being a nervous wreck."

"That is me being me." she joked with a small grin as she chuckled lightly and I blinked at shock over the fact that she was making a joke before chuckling along with her as we pulled up out the front of my house.

"Come on, Kira. Time to get your game face on, honey." I told her determinedly as I turned off the ignition and she took a shaky breath as she looked over at me with a slightly terrified expression. "I said 'game face', not whatever that is."

"I can't help it. I'm freaking out."

"You can freak out later. Right now, I need you put on your big girl pants and get in there. My sort of brother is in there about to be stabbed by demonic ninjas, and my best friend has been kidnapped by a psychotic fox that seems slightly obsessed with me, so we don't have time for you to freak out."

"How do you do this? Are you really so sure that you can find a way to save Stiles and Lydia?" Kira asked me sadly with a slight hint of awe in her voice and I stared out the windshield for a moment in silence.

"I'll either find a way, or I'll make one." I stated resolutely as I opened the door without looking at her and climbed out of the car as she scrambled out of the passenger side. I kept the emotionless masked plastered on my face as I stalked towards the front door with Kira right behind me and we both rushed into the house to see her mother standing in the centre of the living room while Scott, mom and a frail looking Stiles were entering from the other side of the room.

"Stop." Kira ordered breathlessly in a loud voice as we stopped just behind her mother and everyone turned to look at us.

"It's okay. I'm the one who asked her to come." Stiles assured us firmly as he pushed himself out of Scott's arms and staggered forward with a determined expression on his pale face.

"You're the one who's going to get stabbed with swords. Mom, don't do this to him."

"It's already done." Her mother said sagely as she held out her arm to stop Kira from going any closer and I felt my eyes widened as the two of the Oni materialised behind Stiles. I heard mom gasp in fright as one Oni appeared in front of him out of thin air and I tensed immediately as the Oni clasped his hand on Stiles cheek to check him for the Nogitsune's presence. After a moment of silence, the Oni dropped Stiles onto the ground and disappeared into black mist as I rushed forward to kneel by his side. "Look behind his ear."

"It worked." I informed them in relief when I looked behind his ear at the backwards five burnt into his skin and Scott knelt down next to me as Stiles shakily started to push himself up into sitting position.

"So, I'm actually me?" Stiles asked Kira's mother in a trembling voice as he looked over at her solemnly and I wrapped an arm around his waist to help him stay upright as he shook uncontrollably.

"More you than the Nogitsune." Kira's mom supplied with a slight smile on her lips as she nodded once and Stiles sighed heavily as he closed his eyes for a moment before looking at her with renewed determination burning in his eyes.

"Can The Oni find him?"

"Tomorrow night. It's too close to dawn now."

"Can they kill him?"

"It depends on how strong he is."

"What about Lydia? Why would he take her?" Scott asked her almost frantically as he stood up from where he was kneeling next to me and I pursed my lips together thoughtfully as I helped Stiles to his feet.

"He would only take her for an advantage." I assumed out loud as I glanced at Kira's mother for confirmation since she was the one who had dealt with him before and she nodded briefly as she looked at me with something close to respect.

"You mean her power?"

"The power of a Banshee."

"Sophie. Come on. Stop cooking. Please." Scott pleaded with me the next day as he leaned his forearms on the counter with his head in his hands and I sighed heavily as I turned around to face him in a Classic Guns N' Roses Printed Black Tassel Hemline Tank Top, Evaw Wave INDRA Leggings with hair up in a messy bun.

"Scott, do you want chocolate brownies, or not?" I asked him pointedly as I placed a hand on my hip with a quirked eyebrow and his groan was muffled as he shook his head on his hands.

"No! Well, yes, but you only bake when you're really upset. And I don't want you to be upset."

"I'm gonna be upset whether or not I'm baking. Lydia is missing. Kidnapped by the Nogitsune. There's absolutely nothing I can do at the moment, so I have to do something to keep my mind from imagining the worse possible scenario. So, please leave me alone or no brownies for you!"

"I just don't think it's healthy to – "

"Do you want brownies or not?!" I asked him sternly as I pointed at him with the wooden spoon in my hand and he lifted his head from his hands with a pout as he nodded begrudgingly. I smirked in satisfaction as I nodded slightly and he opened his mouth to add something but he was cut off by the sound of Stiles gasping from the living room when he was sleeping on the couch. Scott's dark brown eyes widened in panic as he rushed out of the room and I quickly followed him into the living room where he was helping Stiles from falling over.

"Hey! You okay?" Scott asked him in concerned panic as he gripped his best friend's arms with a frown and I stopped next to them as I went to help my brother but then remembered that my hands were covered in flour.

"What happened? How long was I out?" Stiles asked us frantically in a confused voice as he steadied himself with Scott's help and I couldn't help but be concerned with the dark circles under his eyes and the paleness of his skin.

"Just a couple of hours. You should sit down." I told him gently as I nodded towards the couch he had been lying on and he shook his head slightly with a sigh as he glanced over at his shoulder briefly before turning back to us.

"Where's my Dad?"

"He's at Eichen House, questioning everyone. Looking for Meredith. I promised him I wouldn't let you out of my sight." Scott informed him as I nodded along with him in agreement and thought about how stile shad remembered a girl from Eichen house mentioning something that might help us but she was missing when the sheriff went to question her the night before.

"Okay, what about the others?"

"Allison, Isaac, Ethan, Aiden, Derek, I sent them all to look for Lydia. I would be out there with them, but Scott grounded me." I told him bitterly as I glared at my brother heatedly with my arms crossed over my chest and Scott rolled his dark brown eyes at me as he ignored my glower. "It's starting to feel like we're waiting for a ransom call."

"We'll find her." Scott assured me gently as he rested a hand on the small of my back and I offered him a small smile as he turned to look at Stiles with a concerned frown. "You all right?"

"Yeah. I don't know why, I just can't seem to get warm." Stiles said as he grabbed his jacket from the back of the couch and tugged it on quickly as he shivered uncontrollably.

"Maybe you should sit down. Take it easy." Scott said gently as his hand shot out to catch Stiles when he stumbled and the veins on his hand instantly became a prominent black as he took some of Stiles' pain with a confused frown on his lips. "You're in pain."

"It's not that bad. Just more like a dull ache."

"Where?"

"Sort of everywhere."

"Dude, you're freezing." Scott exclaimed in concern he touched Stiles' hand gently and the human pulled his hand away instantly as he sat down on the couch with his hands over his mouth. "Tell me the truth. How much does it really hurt?"

"The truth, Stiles." I added calmly as I looked at him sternly like a mother demanding the truth from a naughty child and he looked down guiltily as he was saved from answering by Scott's phone ringing from his jacket pocket.

"It's Kira." Scott announced as he pulled the phone out of his pocket and glanced at the screen before holding it up to his ear. "Hey, what's up?"

"She's here. In Coach's class. And you need to get here now too. Like, right now." I heard Kira say through the phone line in a panicked voice and Scott looked over at us with wide hopeful dark brown eyes. "Meredith. She's here."

"Got it. we'll be right there." He said quickly before hanging up the phone as he walked over to get his jacket and I started walking to grab my shoes as Stiles stood up from the couch. "Where do you think you're going, Sophie?"

"To the school. To get Meredith." I stated as though it was obvious as I looked at him in confusion and he shook his head slowly as he pulled on his jacket. "Why are you shaking your head?"

"You aren't going."

"Yes, I am."

"No, you're not."

"Scott, I'm going!" I exclaimed in annoyance as I reached down for my shoes and he frowned at me as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"What about your brownies? They're in the oven. You can't the oven on." He argued smugly as though that was the end of it and I glanced over at him with a confused scowl on my lips as I tugged on of my shoes on.

"You really think I give a crap about brownies? I'll turn the oven off! This is a lead on Lydia. Lydia, Scott! My best friend. My Stiles. I'm not sitting this out."

"Sophie!" he snapped loudly as he flashed his Alpha red eyes at me and I instinctively took a step back from him as I gasped in shook that he would stoop so low as to order me to stay as my Alpha. "You need to stay here. Stiles and I will bring Meredith to you, but you need to stay here, okay? The Nogitsune was interested in you, and I don't want to give him a chance to kidnap you as well. Stiles is going to bar the house with mountain ash, so that no supernatural can get in and you'll be safe. I don't need to worry about you and Stiles and Lydia. Stay here."

"I can't believe you just ordered me as my Alpha. Fine, I'll stay." I said quietly in a betrayed tone as I held my hands up in surrender and he immediately looked guilty as he opened his mouth to say something but I just shook my head at him as I walked back into the kitchen without looking back.

I couldn't believe that my own brother would use his power over me like that. He never had before. It wasn't something that Scott would normally do. Lydia was missing, and he wanted me to do nothing? Didn't he know me at all?

I huffed in frustration as I entered the kitchen just as the timer went off on the oven and walked over there as I grabbed a dishtowel from the bench before taking the brownie pan out of the oven. Cooking was only something I did when I was extremely stressed out. Well, it used to be something I did when I was extremely stressed. Recently it seemed that whenever I was stressed out, we were running for our lives or trying to save someone else's. I practically threw the baking tray down on the bench as I scowled at the treats as though it was their fault that my best friend was missing and I gripped my hair in my fists as I closed my eyes tightly.

Lydia. Lydia. Lydia. Kill the Nogitsune. Lydia. Lydia. Lydia. Save Stiles. Lydia. Lydia. Lydia.

Those words were going through my head like a chant. Like the repeated words that soldiers used when marching. All I wanted to do was curl into a ball and cry my eyes out until there was nothing left, but I knew I couldn't do that. any minute Scott and Stiles would be back with Meredith and she would tell us where Lydia was. I needed to be ready. I needed to be strong. I needed to remember the mantra Allison had come up with: Nous protégeons ceux qui ne peuvent pas se protéger eux-mêmes. We protect those who can't protect themselves.

"Hello?" I heard my father call from the front door as he stepped inside the house and my eyes sprung open as his footsteps approached the hallway.

"In the kitchen!" I called back to him as I took a deep breath to calm myself down and I plastered an easy smile on my lips as dad walked into the kitchen with his briefcase in hand. "Hey, what are you doing here? And you're meant to knock before you enter houses you don't live in."

"I heard about your friend, so I figured you'd be here. I wanted to see how you were copying." He explained almost sheepishly as he stuffed his hands into his pants pockets and I forced a small smile as I shrugged my shoulders.

"I'm fine." I lied in the most nonchalant voice I could muster but it mustn't have been very good because he quirked an eyebrow in disbelief and I sighed heavily as I leaned my hands on the counter in front of me. "I will be fine. I just need someone to find Lydia."

"They'll find her. Most of the deputies are out their searching for her."

"How did you even find out? The sheriff was keeping this quiet. Only he and Jordan knew."

"I overheard it at the station. Jordan?" he asked suspiciously as he walked over to the dining table and placed his briefcase down on a chair as I rolled my eyes at his protective dad routine.

"Deputy Parrish. His first name is Jordan. You don't need to carve his name into a bullet, I have a boyfriend." I informed him lightly as he turned around to face me with wide eyes and I smirked slightly at the horrified expression on his face as I got a knife out of the drawer. "One my own age. We go to school together."

"Does this boyfriend know your father is an FBI agent? Who carries a gun?" he asked me pointedly with a slight grin as he gestured to the gun holster on his belt and I let out a small chuckle at the thought of Aiden being afraid of a simple lead bullet.

"Mm-hmm. It was the first thing out of my mouth when I met him." I teased with in amusement as I cut around the edge of the brownies in the tray so they weren't stuck and I shook my head slightly with a small smile as I turned the tray upside down on the cooling rack.

"Hey! Sophie, you here?" I heard Isaac call out from the front of the house as the door open and I glanced over my shoulder at the doorway between the living room and the kitchen.

"Kitchen! With my dad!" I called back to him in warning as I turned back around to my task and I heard the Beta's footsteps falter slightly before continuing towards us. I focused solely on the task in front of me as I heard Isaac's coming into the kitchen and I spun around with a small smile because I hadn't properly seen him since he had gotten out of the hospital.

"Hey, Soph – "he started to say but cut off abruptly when I threw myself into his arms and he slowly wrapped his arms firmly around my waist as I buried my head into his neck. I gripped the back of his shirt tightly as though would disappear if I let him go and felt my eyes stinging with tears over how much I had missed him the past few days that he had been out of commission. Suddenly, a thought came to me as I pulled back slightly so that my lips were next to Isaac's ear because I didn't want my dad to overhear what I was about to say.

"How did you get in? the house is lined with mountain ash."

"I don't know."

"Maybe dad broke the line when he came in." I suggested dismissively as I pulled back completely from the embrace and he shrugged his shoulders as he pressed a chaste kiss to my temple.

"So, is this the boyfriend then?" my dad asked me from behind in a stern threatening tone of voice and I let go of Isaac completely as I turned around to face him with a small smile on my lips.

"Um, no. this is Isaac. He lives with us, he's my best friend. My best guy friend. You've meet him before." I reminded him as I walked back over to the bench and Isaac wondered over to sit on one of the stools on the other side with an awkward expression on his face. before dad could reply, the backdoor flew open, making us all jump in surprise as Scott, Stiles and a pale looking girl with short curly brown hair wearing a grey tracksuit outfit came rushing into the kitchen.

"What are you doing here?" Scott asked our dad in befuddlement as they skidded to a stop in the middle of the room and I quirked an eyebrow as I wiped my hands on a dishtowel while leaning my hip against the counter facing them.

"I could ask you the same thing." Dad stated pointedly as he glanced at the three of them suspiciously with his hands in his pants pockets and Scott opened his mouth to reply but snapped it shut with a grimace.

"Free period. We're doing group study." Stiles exclaimed quickly as he nodded frantically with his hands clasped together in front of him and I tried to suppress a smile as dad nodded towards the girl with them that I assumed was Meredith Walker.

"Who's she?"

"She's my girlfriend."

"You're not my type." Meredith denied with a small shake of her head as Stiles draped an arm around her shoulders and he immediately dropped his arm to his side without taking his eyes off of my dad.

"Well, obviously we have a lot to talk about. We should maybe take this upstairs."

"She's my type." She continued as though Stiles hadn't spoken as she looked shyly over in my direction and I raised both my eyebrows as everyone turned to look at me scrutinisingly.

"Okay. Sophie, you can come too." Stiles said unsurely as he scratched the side of his face and I smiled tightly as I started walking towards the doorway to the hall. Isaac was snickering to himself so I slapped the back of his head as I passed him and grabbed his arm to drag him with me as we followed Stiles and Meredith to the stairs.

"What's going on? Did ask about Lydia yet?" I asked Stiles rapidly as I led them into my bedroom while Scott stayed downstairs and Stiles sat Meredith down on the end of my bed as he sighed heavily.

"Well, yeah, we did but – "he started to stutter as he stepped back next to me with a grimace and I rolled my eyes at him in annoyance as I pushed pass him with a sigh. Meredith looked up at me with a nervous smile on her lips as she played with her finger on her lap and I offered her a reassuring smile as I crouched down in front of her.

"Hi. I'm Sophie."

"I'm – I'm Meredith." Meredith introduced herself in a small voice as she leaned backwards slightly and my smile widened a little as I clapped my hands in front of me with a small nod.

"It's nice to meet you, Meredith. I was wondering if you knew where a friend of mine was. Her name is Lydia Martin."

"Lydia? You mean the red-haired girl."

"Yes! Yes! Good. Progress. Now, all you got to do is tell us where she is." Stiles stated hopefully in a happy tone as he stepped up next to me and Meredith glanced at him briefly before turning her attention back to me.

"Okay. If she tells me."

"If she tells you? Can you ask her?" Isaac asked her gently as he crossed his arms over his chest and I glanced at him for a second before turning back to Meredith with a nod of agreement.

"I already did." She told us proudly with a small smile on her lips as she looked at all of us and Stiles made an exclamation of excitement as he waved a hand for her to continue.

"Perfect. Perfect. What did she say?" I asked her eagerly with a grin as I clapped my hands once in front of me and her smile faded immediately as she shook her head slightly with an apologetic frown.

"She said she doesn't want to be found."

"That's good too. Okay." Stiles murmured quietly as he knocked his fists on top of each other with a frown and I held back a groan of frustration as I glanced down at the ground so that no one saw the pain in my eyes.

"Okay. Thank you for asking, Meredith. Can you just give us a minute? We'll be right back." I told her softly as I stood up from my crouch in front of her and I patted her shoulder gently when she nodded as I grabbed Stiles arm before dragging him towards the bathroom off my bedroom with Isaac following us.

"Maybe we should, I don't know, use another method." Isaac suggested in a whisper as we gathered in a loose triangle and I shot him an unamused glare as I leaned back against the sink with my arms crossed over my chest. "I'm just saying."

"Isaac, we're not going to torture her."

"I meant scare her."

"We're not going to psychologically torture her either."

"Fine. How about this? You said she hears things, right?" He asked Stiles inquisitively as he coked his head to the side curiously and I looked at the human with my lips pursed together thoughtfully as he nodded in answer. "Doesn't that mean she's like Lydia? A Banshee?"

"Yeah. yeah, I think so." Stiles answered unsurely as he nodded jerkily with a frown and I hummed in acknowledgement as I started walking out of the bathroom.

"Hey, Meredith. We want to try something. Is that okay?" I asked her calmly as I crouched down in front of her again with a small smile and Stiles knelt down next to me as Isaac sat on the edge of my bedside table. Meredith nodded her head in ascent with a wary smile on her lips and I gestured towards Stiles to go for it because he was the one who usual helped Lydia with her abilities.

"Okay, just try to focus on the sounds around you." Stiles instructed her gently in a false knowing tone of voice with his hands out in front of him and Meredith furrowed her forehead as she nodded in determination with a small frown. "On what you're hearing. Just focus on the silence."

"Listen to the silence." Isaac corrected in the same tone of voice as he tilted his head to the side and I shook my head at the two of them as I pinched the bridge of my nose in annoyance.

"Focusing on the silence."

"Listening to the –"

"Okay, will you just let me handle this, Isaac? Please? I just... I have more experience with Banshees.

"Yeah. And mental patients." Isaac added under his breath as he looked away from Stiles' glare and I dropped my hand to my side as I pinched Stiles' hand gently to get his attention.

"Hey! Quit it. Don't make me separate you two!" I snapped at them as I gently pushed on Isaac's knee in reprimand and Meredith giggled sightly as she looked at me with a small grin on her lips.

"Isn't anyone going to get that?" Meredith asked us suddenly as she looked around at each of us with a small confused frown and I quirked an eyebrow at her as I tilted my head to the side.

"Get what?" Stiles asked her in confusion as he glanced around the room as though he was missing something and I remembered that sometimes Lydia could hear voices coming from objects, like her car radio or the voice operated GPS.

"The phone."

"What phone?"

"The phone." I repeated as though it was obvious with a roll of my eyes as he looked at me in confusion but I pointed towards his jacket pocket and his eyes widened in understanding as he got the cell phone out.

"Oh, the phone. My phone? Yes. Hello. Yes, she's actually sitting right here. It's for you." he said to Meredith as he handed her the cell phone and she nodded firmly as she held the phone up to her ear with a blank expression.

"They say Coup de foudre." Meredith declared as she lowered the phone to her lap and I frowned in confusion as I took the phone from her hand.

"Coup de what? What is that Spanish?"

"No, you idiot. French. It's French. It means, 'love at first sight'." I explained in confusion as I rolled my eyes at his lack of knowledge even though he took beginners French and he scowled at me slightly but didn't say anything as I stood up from my crouch.

"I know where she is." Scott announced from behind me in the doorway as Stiles stood up next to me and I spun around with wide hopeful eyes as my heart rate sky-rocketed.

Scott and Stiles were in the front of the jeep as Isaac and I sat in the backseat together on the way to Oak Creek where Scott was positive Lydia was being held and it made sense to me that the Nogitsune would go back to the place all of this started.

"Hey, you okay?" Stiles asked my brother in concern from them driver's seat and I pulled my attention away from the window to look at him with a frown.

"Yeah. Yeah. You don't have to worry about me." Scott assured him as he quirked a small smile to his best friend before looking over his shoulder at me and my lips turned up in a small smile as I threw my legs over Isaac's lap.

"All right, I'll say it. You look like you're dying. You're pale, thin and you look like you're getting worse. And we're all sitting here thinking it. When we find the other you, is he gonna look like he's getting better?" Isaac asked abruptly as he wrapped an arm around my legs and pulled me closer to his side as he linked his fingers through mine. "What happens if he gets hurt?"

"You mean if he dies, do I die? I don't care. Just so long as no else dies because of me. I remember everything I did, Scott. I remember pushing that sword into you. I remember twisting it." Stiles said firmly in a small voice as he tightened his hold on the steering wheel and I gulped down the lump in my throat as I remembered everything that the Nogitsune said to me.

"It wasn't you." Scott assured him gently as he shook his head at the idea that his best friend could've down that to him and Stiles sighed heavily as he nodded once but didn't seem to agree.

"Yeah, but I remember it. You guys gotta promise me. You can't let anyone else get hurt because of me."

"It better not have been you, because you hit on me, like a lot." I stated in an attempt to lighten the tense atmosphere in the jeep after a moment of compete silence and everyone turned to look at me in disbelief as I pretended to shudder dramatically.

"Shut up, Sophie." Stiles muttered under his breath as he turned back to the road and I smiled slightly in satisfaction as I rested my head on Isaac's shoulder. The rest of the drive to Oak Creek was silent and as we pulled to a stop outside the abandoned internment camp I saw Allison and Kira already waiting for us. I climbed out of the jeep as we all rushed over to the iron gated entrance where the others were waiting and I glanced around at the graffiti covered building with distain.

"We've done this before, guys. A couple of weeks ago we were standing around just like this and we saved Malia, remember? That was a total stranger. This is Lydia." Scott urged us all seriously as he looked around at the loose circle we had unintentionally formed and I couldn't help the pride that I felt watching him deliver an inspiring Alpha speech.

"I'm here to save my best friend." Allie declared firmly with a nod of her head as she pressed her lips into a tight line and I slipped my hand into hers that wasn't holding the crossbow as she squeezed it gently.

"I came to save mine."

"I'm here to save my sister." I stated passionately as I narrowed my eyes at the building behind me before looking over at the only human male in the group and Stiles looked back at me with a small quick of his lips. "And my brother."

"I just didn't feel like doing any homework." Isaac interjected with a smirk on his lips as he shrugged his shoulders and I burst out laughing at his comment as Allison rolled her dark brown eyes in amusement. Together the five of us walked into the abandoned Oak Creek with determination in each step and I couldn't help the slight nerves I felt as I glanced around uneasily. Scott touched my hand to get my attention as he nodded his head towards the building to indicate that he was going to search it and I nodded back at him with a small smile as I mouthed the words 'I love you' to him. he mouthed the words back to me as he offered me a half-smile before pressing a kiss to my cheek and Stiles squeezed my hand tightly as he started to follow Scott into the building to look for Lydia. I turned my attention back to the rest of the group as we all turned the corner and saw Kira's mother; Noshiko standing there in the middle of the cemented valley with an Oni on each side of her.

"Kira, turn around and go home. Take your friends with you." Noshiko ordered sternly as she inclined her head sightly with a blank expression and I immediately narrowed my eyes at her as I stepped up next to Kira protectively.

"I can't. When I looked at the game I realized who I was actually playing. You." Kira said firmly as she clenched her hands into fists at her side and Allison armed her bow and arrow expertly as she took aim at the older woman.

"Call them off." I ordered resolutely as I stepped in front of the others with an unwavering emotionlessly expression on my face and Noshiko tilt her head to the side as she observed the four of us.

"You think you could take him alive? You think you can save him?" Noshiko asked me with a slight scoff in her voice as she frowned at me and I held my hand up slightly so that Isaac and Allie knew to hold back from attacking.

"What if we can?" Kira asked pointedly as she stepped up next to me with a determined purse of her lips and I glanced at her with a bit of pride that she wasn't the nervous wreck she was the night before.

"I tried something like it 70 years ago. Your friend is gone."

"Are you sure? Or if Stiles doesn't have to die. Maybe Rhys didn't have to die either?"

"I see I'm no longer the Fox now, Kira. You are. But the Nogitsune is still my demon to bury."

"You think there's no way to save Stiles? You obviously don't know me very well." I told her with a smirk on my lips as I tilted my head to the side and she narrowed her eyes at me in confusion as Kira nodded in agreement.

"We'll either find a way, or we'll make one." Kira repeated what I had said last night in the car as she stood by my side in solidarity and I smirked faintly as I glanced at her from the corner of my eye. The Oni suddenly swung their swords up into defensive stance as Noshiko smirked at us but as soon as they stopped moving, they disappeared into black mist and we all looked around wildly for the Oni as Noshiko gasped loudly in surprise. I turned back to her with a confused frown on my lips as she opened her hand and I watched in horror as the glowing firefly in her palm disappeared. "Mom? What is that? What does that mean?"

"It means there's been a change in ownership. Now they belong to me." The Nogitsune announced from behind us with clear amusement in his voice and I spun around with a startled gasp escaping my lips when I saw him standing with the Oni behind him. "What do you say, Sophie? Are you close to cracking yet?"

"I wouldn't give you the satisfaction." I hissed angrily as I glared at him heatedly with my hands curled into fists at my side and he smirked at me with his arms held out to his sides as he started strolling backwards as though he didn't have a care in the world. The Oni all charged forward with their swords poised ready to attack and I immediately went on the defensive as I let my fangs and claws elongate with a small growl escaping my lips just as one of the Oni launched itself at me. I spun out of the way of its sword as I dropped to the ground and swing my leg around to trip it so that it stumbled forward as I jumped back to my feet. Another one of the Oni jumped at me as I slashed at its chest with my claws and I leaned backwards so that my back was nearly parallel with the ground as I avoided another Oni's blade. I flipped over so that my feet kicked the Oni in the head as I landed on my feet upright and I grabbed one of the lengths of wooden from the ground as I swung at the Oni, making the plank break in half when it connected. I let out a strangled grunt as I dropped to the ground to avoid the Oni's sword and I felt a sharp burning pain as the blade penetrated my shoulder. I immediately cried out in pain as I gripped the wounded area with a grimace and I looked up at the Oni as it raised the sword above its head to land the killing blow. I rolled to the side, ignoring the pain radiating from my side, just in time to evade the blade and I climbed to my feet with a groan as I slashed at the Oni's chest with my claws. The whole cemented courtyard suddenly lit up with a bright yellow light as I spun around to see what was happening and I saw one of the Oni breaking open with the light creeping out the edges of the cracks. The Oni's sword dropped to the ground with a clang as it looked down at its chest and I frowned in confusion as it suddenly exploded into nothing with a burst of light. I glanced at an injured Isaac sprawled on the ground where the Oni had previously been standing but he looked over his shoulder at Allison and I followed his gaze as the young huntress lowered her crossbow with a small smile on her lips.

"No, Allison!" I cried in horror as I rushed forward when I saw one of the Oni charging at her side and the Oni stabbed its sword through her chest as her mouth formed a perfect 'o' in shock. I froze in disbelief as her dark brown eyes went wide and the Oni removed its sword as she teetered on the brink of falling over. I didn't hardly even registered the Oni disappearing from the courtyard as I stared in absolutely incredulity and my whole body suddenly felt cold, like I had walked through the snow without a coat on or had stood in front of an open freezer for ages. I heard footsteps rushing forwards, and that's what finally knocked me out of my state of shock as I looked up to see Scott running towards the wounded huntress. my brother caught Allie in his arms as she fell to the ground and he cradled her in his arms as I felt my blood unfreeze with a sudden rush, like sand falling through an hourglass.

"Allison." Scott whispered in disbelief as he held her tightly against his chest and his voice was what made me move my feet towards them urgently, but it felt like I was moving through thick syrup.

"Did you find her? Is she okay? Is Lydia safe?" Allison gasped out weakly as she looked up at my brother with wide eyes and I dropped to my knees as few feet away from them when my legs couldn't keep me up anymore.

"She's okay. Yeah. I can't. I can't take your pain."

"It's because it doesn't hurt." She told him gently with a soft smile on her lips as his eyes widened with realisation and I crawled over to her other side as her breaths came out in short pants.

"Move your hands." I ordered shakily under my breath as I gently pushed her hands away from her stab wound and placed my hands over the laceration as my hands instantly got coated in her scarlet red blood. I focused my True Druid powers on healing the wound but I couldn't feel the energy around my hands like I normally would and I frowned deeply as I concentrated harder on trying to find the life energy that connected all of us. "I can't find it. It's not there. No. No. No. It has to be there."

"It's okay." Allison assured me gently with a small nod of her head as she looked over at me without moving her head and I shook my head in denial as I scrunched my face up to stop myself from crying.

"Allison." Scott whispered in a heartbroken voice as he ran a hand down her cheek gently and I watched as a single tear leaked from her eyes as she turned her attention towards my brother.

"It's okay. It's okay. It's okay." She repeated softly with tears in her voice as she placed a blood covered hand over mine on her stomach and I looked over at her beautiful face with tears in my eyes that I wouldn't let fall. "It's perfect. I'm in the arms of my first love. The first person I ever loved. The person I'll always love. And Sophie's here. The closest thing I have to a sister. My sister. I love you. Scott. Scott and Sophie McCall. Take care of each other."

"No, no, Allie, come on. I love you, okay? You can't do this. I need you. Please." I begged her in a whisper as I shook my head from side to side with tears spilling down my cheeks and I could see how pale she was looking as she red stained her lips.

"Don't, please, don't. Allison don't, please." Scott murmured softly as he clutched her closer to his chest and she raised her hand to his cheek weakly as she gasped for breath.

"You have to tell my dad. And you have to tell my dad. Tell him." Allison stuttered in a slightly panicked voice as her dark brown eyes widened and Scott nodded frantically, willing to agree with anything she wanted from him. I couldn't tear my eyes away from her face as she sighed in relief without a doubt that Scott would fulfil her wishes and Scott gently touched her face with his fingertips as he subtly sobbed, pulling her closer to him as though he couldn't bear to let her go. I jerked my hand back from her as though I had been burned as I scrambled backwards with a horrified strangled gasp escaping my lips and I pulled my knees up to my chest to make myself as small as possible as tears poured form my eyes uncontrollably. Scott leaned over to press a lingering kiss to Allison's forehead. Time moved slowly. Each breath was measured. Each heartbeat echoing.

Did I ruin it? Did my writing make it hundred times more horrifying to read? It was so hard to write that scene, mainly because my eyes are blurry with tears.

I love Allison. I hope I did her justice.
