Plants grow differently in the snow,

have different effects,

are often milder,

allowing for medicinal use

for much milder symptoms,

and the gloves that line his fingers don't bother him,

as long as they are flexible,

and allow for this steady digging,

this gentle pulling up from beneath the surface,

roots and all.
