Chapter 8- The next destination

It had been 3 days and he could not do anything but lay in bed they wouldn't even let him wash himself and he did not want any of the nurses to wash him not that Paige wanted them to either and she slowly looked at him with eyes so fragile you would think the wrong look and you would break her into millions of pieces. Walter nodded when she looked and pulled her closer as he silently cried into her neck as she cried on his shoulder, they could only feel the warmth of each other's tears knowing they both hated what had happened but didn't know how to talk about it.

Toby stood by the door staring at them before coughing loudly causing everyone to look at him inside and outside of the room. "Paige and Walter, we need to talk about what had happened its destroying both of you" Toby said quietly as he walked over by Walter's bed only loud enough so that they could barely hear him.

"Do we have to" Walter whimpered as the two looked at how weak he seemed right now and now both of them stood there in shock.

"Fine Toby but nobody else needs to know" Paige hissed in a cold demeanor.

Toby nodded as everyone tried to come in, he looked at them and waved them out as he shut the door behind him to lock it. "Walt tell me in your own words what happened please" Toby said so professionally. Walter just laid there stunned at how professional he had sounded.

"I went to go buy breakfast for everyone when I felt something stab me in the next and the next thing I knew I was in the barn gagged for the most part till Flo took it off telling me I should be with her and not Paige and then Tim came back with Paige telling her that she was to good for me and that I did not deserve her when they all got there and grabbed Flo as she was a-a-about to forceable do things to me" Walter looked down shutting his eyes as he tried to stop the images and change them but no matter what he did the images just came back worse each time as if to torment him till he died.

"Paige, I know your side of the story so I think when we get home, I want to start doing sessions with both of you so hopefully we don't have this outburst again and we can also talk about what happened before as a group session even though Dr. Rizzuto has guided us through it" Toby finished seeing how distraught Walter looked.

"Walter that is enough for today we will continue in a few day" Toby said as he watched Walter as he tried to close up only to have Paige hold onto him like he was going to disappear, and he couldn't help but feel like it was all their fault for the team break up and had that not happened maybe none of this would have happened he thought walking away a silent tears fell.

A week later Toby had come almost everyday talking to them as they all slowly made it past the pain, they had Walter was closing up a lot less and Paige was noticeably healthier looking. As they had finished up Cabe had walked in looking at both of them before grumbling as he walked over to them.

"You two will have to testify against Florence and Timothy" he said as he was trying to control his rage knowing how those two had hurt his kids and how he had wanted to kill both of them for that.

"We kind of figured we would have to that will not be a problem Dad" both said as they clung to each other for dear life as if they let go, they would die as the other disappeared knowing all to well that they were terrified to go up on stand before everyone knowing how they had been damaged.

"Also, Collins is on the loose so please be careful both of you" Cabe said as he stared at both of them knowing they had hoped that Collins was finally gone forever. As, they all finished talking Ralph and Walter Jr. ran in the room hugging their parents smiling as they all just stayed there in the warm embracing knowing as long as they had each other they would all be ok.

Happy walked over to Toby smiling as she looked at him with a grin that Toby could not understand as he stared at her looking at her analyzing her before his mouth dropped and she only nodded pointing to the doctor who had confirmed it after she had missed her cycle for the past two months. "HAPPPY THAT IS AMAZING I LOVE YOU SO MUCH" Toby shouted unable to contain his excitement now he could feel the joy Walter feels when he sees Ralph and Walter Jr.

Everyone just stared at him until they realized that the only thing that could get him that happy was Happy having a mini him or her and they didn't know which one would be worse or better as they all laughed at the thought before congratulating them and hoping all for the best.

Finally, Walter had been released with 10 days before the trial and with each passing day the felt calmer but yet more anxious than ever before and they did not know how to deal with the conflicting feelings. Each day they would take the kids to a new spot to sightsee so that Walter could see the family he had started with Paige all look in amazement as he would take them to a scientifically appealing spot that was also aesthetically pleasing for all three of them and if he couldn't find a spot with both he would set up two spots to go to so that Paige and his sons would all be happy and seeing them smile was all he could have wanted as he would sneak a picture of the three of them at each location. Each night after he would print three copies of each picture as he filled up three separate books one for his parents and one for Cabe and Allie and the last one for him and Paige and was finally smiling as he put the last picture in them and wrapped them up knowing they had a 10 am flight back to the states he sat there with the one in his bag one he put on his parent's end table with a note telling them to only open after they had left and the other he snuck in Cabe's bag.

They woke with a start as they all had to pack up to leave everyone sad as they could not stay but happy to get back to the garage before a call came in as Uncle Tobin rolled in with Thomas and Conner.

"Walter, its Katherine and Director Nunez we had just gotten word from someone that your parent's had put in for a green card and we pushed to get it approved and thought you would like to good news" she said sympathetically knowing that the trauma might still be there from the abduction. Walter stood there standing as everyone heard and Sean and Louise look dumbfounded not knowing that it would happen this way, they could not leave yet they to finish out the season maintenance and Cabe stood in the back smiling whispering something to the two parents as they stood there shocked. "I don't know what you are talking about I have not heard anything about this and I think they would have told me if they had done it" Walter said but as he finished his dad spoke up "Walter we had done it after this season Tobin was going to wait until Connor and Thomas set it up as he would leave them details on how to care for the farm fully and properly as we got ready to come to America for you boy" he said as tears filled his eyes. Soon his parents went to the room after Tobin and the two men told them that they would not let them stay a second longer. Now, they had all left to go home and none of them could be happier except for the upcoming trial.

This is the end of the Ireland story I will be taking a slight break school is starting back up so I will be posting more infrequently.
