To tell you the truth, I wrote the script of this Duel before the second Duel with Estelle and Roman. So, if you find this Duel boring, I'm sorry, but I couldn't come up with a better idea. I promise, in the next Arcs, I'll try to be more creative with Estelle's Duels.
Once again, I decided to mix the sub and dub in the chapter and I changed some dialogue here and there.

Chapter 30: VS. Goodwin – Part 1
Shortly after the King of the Netherworld reached the surface of the Earth, he slowly crawled towards the condor geoglyph hovering above New Domino City. Kuribon warned Luna that if the dark creature managed to reach the geoglyph, the whole world would fall into eternal darkness. That was the moment the Crimson Dragon appeared and teleported us all to Goodwin's island, including the Satellite Trio's Duel Runners. The tip of the Stairway to the Dragon Star had pierced through the mansion that was now in ruins, standing like a pillar with the enormous condor geoglyph glowing above it instead of a crimson star as it did before when my friends and I were led to Goodwin's basement.
"Isn't this the temple that was underneath Goodwin's mansion?" Jack questioned.
"So this is where that condor was coming from", Aki said as she looked up at the sky, eyeing the condor geoglyph.
"Does this mean we were transported to the city from Satellite just like that?" Leo asked.
"Yes, Leo", I nodded.
"But why were we brought here by the Crimson Dragon?" Yusei wondered.
"Allow me to explain", Goodwin's voice called from the top of the temple.
We looked up and saw the Director at the top of the shrine. I really couldn't see his figure, but I knew he had his weird smile on his lips that didn't show any trust right now.
"For, you see, you may have succeeded in defeating the Dark Signers, but not in time to close the doors to the Netherworld", he added.
"Director?" Mina mumbled in surprise.
"Goodwin…", Jack growled.
"Tell us what's going on!" Yusei demanded. "Did we fail?! Is the world gonna end?! And why's that thing headed here?!"
"For the ritual!" Goodwin simply replied.
"What ritual?!" Yusei shouted.
"The ritual that has been carried out at this temple for many millennia."
"And what exactly happens to this ritual?"
"It all depends, but this time it's something that's never happened before."
"So spill!"
"So eager, but for you to fully understand, I would need to start at the very beginning."
The next thing I saw was a green glowing light at the top of the temple. I knew it was the canister with Roman's arm with the last Mark of the Dragon. I turned to the Signers when I heard them grunt in pain due to the Head Mark. Their Marks were glowing, but mine wasn't. Was it because my Mark was separated from the complete Seal of the Crimson Dragon?
"It's the final Mark!" Yusei grunted in pain.
"Is that your arm?!" Jack asked Goodwin.
"No, not quite. It used to belong to my brother, Roman."
"Just what are you planning, Goodwin?!" Yusei called.
The only answer we got was a purple glowing Mark on Goodwin's body. Everyone else gasped in shock at the discovery.
"Another Mark?!" Yusei exclaimed in disbelief. "So… What Estelle said is true! You lost in a Shadow Duel and turned yourself into a Dark Signer!"
Goodwin just laughed before I sensed a powerful energy emitting from him. I had a feeling he was going through the complete transformation of becoming the last Dark Signer.
"Meaning that, soon, I will have both the power of the light and the darkness!" Goodwin declared with a deep voice.
"Oh no!" Leo cried in fear.
"He can't!" Aki gaped.
"You won't!" Jack growled.
"And just who's going to stop me? You?" Goodwin chuckled sarcastically.
I couldn't see what he was doing, but seconds later I felt my Mark burn a bit to signal that all six Signers had gathered, but the Head Mark had a much stronger power than the other five.
"What are you planning to do with the Mark?!" Yusei yelled.
"What else? To become all powerful and rule the world!" Goodwin replied. "And now, with my Dark Sign and the power my brother entrusted to me, I shall!"
Next thing we all knew, the rest of the Stairway to the Dragon Star drilled itself up from underground, slowly crushing the island into nothing. We had to evacuate the island before we could get burrowed by the dirt and debris that flew around us. We managed to get to the other side of the bridge that used to lead to Goodwin's mansion, staying on dry land. Yusei and the others had been able to grab their Duel Runners and zoomed away with them until we were in a safe distance.
My eyes widened in shock to see how tall and big the Stairway actually was. It covered two thirds of the lake in total and the tip of the temple was probably reaching the lower part of the stratosphere.
"Behold the birth of my reign to come!" Goodwin's deep voice echoed from the top of the shrine. "But first, let us begin the ancient ritual for the King of the Netherworld! We will Duel on the crest of the Condor! There I will crush you Signers and send you all to the Netherworld! In return, he will do my bidding, and my ultimate plan will at least be set in motion!"
"Why, Goodwin?!" Yusei shouted.
"Yeah, you're the one who asked Yusei for his help in the first place; to take down the Dark Signers!" Crow pointed out.
"I had my reasons! Now then, will you agree to this Duel or will you not?"
"Goodwin, if we win this Duel, will the King of the Netherworld disappear?!" Yusei asked.
"Yes, that is, if you can win. But… You wretched Signers are the ones who'll be getting the beating!"
"We'll see! Let's do this!" Yusei called determinedly.
"Bring it on! No one here is afraid of you, Goodwin!" Jack added.
"That's right!" Crow nodded. "So you got yourself some bulging biceps, so what? Take a look at these bad boys, built for speed and power! Just like the Legendary Man himself! That's right; we'll soar as high as he did in this Duel!"
"Then let's get started!" Yusei demanded. "Because Crow, Jack, and I are going to stop you and the King of the Netherworld!"
"Before we Duel, I want to add someone else in the ritual. How would the final Duel look like if the Priestess didn't join her Signers?"
I felt everyone's eyes on me when Goodwin mentioned that. I suddenly felt a bit nervous. Could I really join this Duel? What if I messed up and ended up failing to protect this world?
"Estelle!" Yusei called, snapping me out of my thoughts. "You don't have to Duel, but if you do… I believe in you and your choice of actions."
"But if you join us, don't use any normal Spell cards or else you'll get 2000 points of damage!" Jack gave me a short education about the effect of the Speed World Field Spell.
"We do need an extra hand of help to take down this so-called God!" Crow said sarcastically.
I placed a hand on my Duel Disk, sensing how my Duel Monsters partners were counting on me. If everyone around me believed in me, I had to believe in myself.
"I'll do it!" I nodded determinedly. "I'll join you in this Duel! If I can create miracles, this is the time I know I can do it! Not alone, but with my friends and my Deck!"
My determination and will to fight caused something inside me to snap. My Mark started glowing through my shirt and, next thing I knew, I was enveloped in a crimson light. Everything around me felt warm and safe that I wanted to relax and enjoy the silence around me, but I had a duty that I needed to fulfill.
I opened my eyes to realize I had clear eyesight. I blinked confusedly and looked at the others to see their eyes were wide and stared at me in shock. "What?" I said.
"E-Estelle… Look at yourself", Aki mumbled.
I glanced down at myself to see I wasn't wearing my casual clothes. I was wearing a crimson outfit with a dark red corset-like top that hugged my body, a crimson skirt that was short at the front but long at the back, a red robe with long sleeves, and golden and dark red edges, dark red sandals decorated with rubies that almost went up to my knees, a red choker resting above my collarbone, and crimson handless gloves that stopped below my elbows. I felt something on top of my head and realized it was a headband-like tiara with a gem in the middle, probably a ruby.
"Wow… Pretty…", Leo mumbled in awe.
I couldn't help but blush by the compliment before Luna noticed something. "Estelle, your eyes! They're red!" the little girl said.
"So the Crimson Star Priestess has finally unlocked her true power. Summon your Duel Disk and let us begin the ritual!"
Shiny crimson particles glowed around me as they grew bigger and surrounded my left arm until they shapeshifted into a mysterious Duel Disk. It looked like an ancient artifact, like the DiaDhank from Ancient Egypt, but it had the shape of a dragon wing with crimson headlights. My Deck was in the Deck holder, so I allowed the device to shuffle it as the Satellite Trio started the engines of their Duel Runners.
"I'll Duel from the ground", I told the trio.
"Go, guys! Beat him!" Leo cheered.
"You can do it!" Luna nodded.
"That's right! Be strong!" Trudge added.
"And be careful!" Mina said concernedly.
"Very careful", Aki added.
The crest of the Condor moved a bit before the edges of the light turned into the purple mist of the Nazca Line. The crest had leaned down so the Satellite Trio could jump onto the course with ease.
"First a few grounds. Since this is a 4-on-1 match-up, you'll each start with 4000 Life Points while I'll start with four times that amount; 16,000! And the only one who can attack on the first turn is the one who comes last. Are there any objections?"
Wait, what? In the original, no one could attack on the first turn of this Duel. Did Goodwin believe that he could change the rules and take advantage of them just because he was a God?
"None here!" Crow called.
"That all works for me!" Jack replied.
"Me too! So let's go!" Yusei said determinedly.
"For a safe and bright future!" I added.
The Turbo Duelists drove off and jumped onto the course, leaving the rest of us on the ground.
"DUEL!"
Crow: 4000 LP
Jack: 4000 LP
Yusei: 4000 LP
Estelle: 4000 LP
Goodwin: 16,000 LP
"Now, Signers and Priestess, prepare to enter into a world of stealth, a world where every move counts! Prepare to enter Speed World!"
The whole area was enveloped by the effect of the Speed World Field Spell. I drew the top five cards of my Deck and added them to my hand. I got Maiden with Eyes of Blue, Call of the Haunted, Follow Wing, Supay, and Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
"And you prepare to enter a world of hurt, Goodwin!" Crow's voice echoed from my Duel Disk. "I'll take the first move! I summon Blackwing – Mistral the Silver Shield!"
Blackwing – Mistral the Silver Shield, Level 2, Tuner: ATK 100
"And when a Blackwing's out, I can summon something else from my hand! Something that's gonna really give you a serious edge, and a sharp edge at that! I Special summon Blackwing – Bora the Spear!"

"I then place one card facedown and end my turn!"
"Which means you get to deal with me now!" Jack spoke up.

"And I'll start by calling out Mad Archfiend!"

"Next I throw a facedown! Call it a turn!"
"It's my turn!" Yusei called.
Crow: 4000 LP = SPC 1 – SPC 2
Jack: 4000 LP = SPC 1 – SPC 2

"Why would you become a Dark Signer, Goodwin?!" he asked.
"Seventeen years ago, my brother, Roman, unleashed the power of the Old Ener-D Reactor. Right before he did, my brother left me in charge of his left arm with the Mark of the Dragon Head, and explained that every five-thousand years the Crimson Dragon and the King of the Netherworld do battle. Light versus darkness, and this time my brother's body was the battleground! Two Marks, one symbolizing each embedded themselves in his flesh, but the Dark Signer Mark soon began to take control of my brother. Soon, he was swallowed by its power, but not entirely. Roman still understood the importance of the darkness being kept in check by the light. So he severed his left arm, which contained the Mark of the Dragon, and gave it to someone he could trust; me! And with that, he unleashed the power of the Ener-D Reactor. Soon after, I did as my brother asked and prepared to fight the darkness by gathering you Signers. And then, as his soul charged, I challenged him to a Duel, light against the dark. The good against the wicked, and you obviously know what happened; I lost."
He told us briefly what he told Roman when he lost on purpose. He knew the battle between the Earthbound Immortals and the Crimson Dragon would just keep repeating itself over and over again, so he chose to break the chain by becoming a Dark Signer and then become a God by bearing both the Mark of a Signer and the Mark of a Dark Signer.
"I shall become a God and put an end to the battle between the Crimson Dragon and the Earthbound Immortals. I shall destroy this world with the powers of the King of the Netherworld. And then, I shall rebuild the world with the powers of the Crimson Dragon! I shall create the world!"
"You've lost it!" Yusei growled furiously.
"Why do the kids, Martha, and a whole bunch of innocent people in Satellite have to be erased from existence?!" Crow asked angrily.
"I, Jack Atlas, will not engage in your wild delusions!" Jack proclaimed.
"You're wrong, Goodwin! It isn't the power of a God that tears down destiny! It's what all of us struggle, fight, and achieve through victory for!" Yusei shouted.
"What is it you fight with, pray tell?" Goodwin snorted amusingly.
"The bonds between us friends!" Yusei replied. "I summon Max Warrior!"
Max Warrior, Level 4: ATK 1800
"Then I'll throw a facedown and end my turn!"
"It's time for the lady to make her appearance!" I called as I drew my sixth card.
Crow: 4000 LP = SPC 2 – SPC 3
Jack: 4000 LP = SPC 2 – SPC 3
Yusei: 4000 LP = SPC 2 – SPC 3
Estelle: 4000 LP = SPC 2 – SPC 3

The card I had just drawn was Vice Dragon. I couldn't Special summon it because it was technically still the good side's turn.
"I summon Maiden with Eyes of Blue!"

"I place one card facedown and end my turn", I finished while setting Follow Wing.
"Finally, then, it's time to show you the power of both light and dark", Goodwin chuckled.

"First, since there are Monsters on your field, but none on mine, I'm allowed to Special summon Oracle of the Sun!"

"Hey, isn't that Estelle's card?!" Leo exclaimed in surprise.
"And then, I'll follow that by summoning the Tuner Monster, Fire Ant Ascator!"
Fire Ant Ascator, Level 3, Tuner: ATK 700
"A Tuner Monster?!" Crow called.
"Not good!" Jack commented.
"Yes, you know what's coming, don't you? I tune Level 3 Fire Ant Ascator with Level 5 Oracle of the Sun! When the Sun arises, all darkness is dispelled. Light, shine brightly! Synchro summon! Show yourself, Sun Dragon Inti!"
Sun Dragon Inti, Level 8: ATK 3000
"Why do you have Sun Dragon Inti, Goodwin?!" Yusei asked. "Did you copy Estelle's cards while we were staying in your mansion or what?!"
"Oh no, Yusei. I've simply had my own Sun Dragon Inti for many years. Next, by removing the Tuner Monster, Fire Ant Ascator, from play, I can Special summon Weeping Idol!"
Weeping Idol, Level 2: ATK 0
"Then, by lowering my Life Points by one thousand, I can Special summon the Dark Tuner Dark Goddess Witaka from my hand!"
Dark Tuner Dark Goddess Witaka, Level 3, Dark Tuner: ATK 0
I got the chills when I saw the Dark Tuner Monster floating among Goodwin's other two Monsters. Goodwin was certainly not going to use Supay to summon Sun Dragon Inti's twin.

"And now, I'll activate Witaka's effect. With it, I'm allowed to make her Level equal to the Level of one Synchro Monster that's out on the field! So, since Sun Dragon Inti's Level is eight, Witaka's Level now becomes eight as well!"
Dark Tuner Dark Goddess Witaka, Level 3 – Level 8, Dark Tuner: ATK 0
"I'm Dark tuning my now Level 8 Dark Goddess Witaka with Level 2 Weeping Idol! When the moon is full in the darkness, the whispering of the Devil will be heard! Entice them over to death! Synchro summon! Show yourself, Moon Dragon Quilla!"

"And since I'm the last one of the first turn, I can take the opportunity to attack one of you. Who should I choose as my first target?"
I prepared myself if Goodwin decided to target me. After all, Maiden with Eyes of Blue had zero attack points, but she had her effect to stop one attack of this turn.
"Sun Dragon Inti, obliterate Priestess's Maiden!"
Goodwin's Sun Dragon Inti roared before its sun stone released a beam of sunlight that went straight towards me and the others on the ground. They cried out in fear and worry, but I was ready.
"Maiden's effect!" I quickly declared. "When she's targeted for an attack, she can negate it and switch her battle position!"
Maiden jumped forward and raised her arms to create a light blue force field around me and the others to protect us. The sun beam hit the force field, but it never broke through the shield. Once the attack was over, the force field dispersed and Maiden went down on her knees.
Maiden with Eyes of Blue, Level 1, Tuner: ATK 0 – DEF 0
"And that's not all! When her effect is activated, she can call forth Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand! Come and join the dragon party, Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

Something was still bothering me about Goodwin's turn. Why did he allow himself to attack at the end of the first turn? Was it possible a tiny part of his true self was trying to save himself from the power of the Dark Sign? I was certain he had been aware of Maiden's effect the entire time, so why did he force me to bring out Blue-Eyes White Dragon?
His next actions confused me even more.
"I place two cards facedown and end my turn", Goodwin said while Moon Dragon Quilla vanished among the dark clouds. "Due to Moon Dragon Quilla's effect, it is destroyed during the End Phase of my turn!"
Why didn't he attack Maiden with Moon Dragon Quilla? Her effect could only be activated once per turn. Did Goodwin find it useless to attack her now, since she was in defense mode, and he couldn't harm my Life Points?
"Why did you bring out Moon Dragon Quilla just to send it to the Graveyard?" Crow questioned. "You really do have a few screws loose, don't ya? Oh well, this will be over soon enough! 'Cause this next round, we'll put the hurt on you big time!"
"Yes, this upcoming round should be quite interesting, indeed", Goodwin chuckled amusingly.
"Here goes nothin'!" Crow called.
Crow: 4000 LP = SPC 4 – SPC 5
Jack: 4000 LP = SPC 4 – SPC 5
Yusei: 4000 LP = SPC 4 – SPC 5
Estelle: 4000 LP = SPC 4 – SPC 5
Goodwin: 15,000 LP = SPC 4 – SPC 5
"First things first, I play the Speed Spell – Tune Up 123! Thanks to this, I get to roll a die and then Blackwing – Mistral's Level increases depending on what number I roll! Alright, Mistral's Level increases by one!"
Blackwing – Mistral the Silver Shield, Level 2 – Level 3, Tuner: ATK 100
"And now, I tune Level 3 Blackwing – Mistral the Silver Shield and Level 4 Blackwing – Bora the Spear! Darkened gales, become the wings which will soar to heaven! Synchro summon! Blackwing Armor Master!"
Blackwing Armor Master, Level 7: ATK 2500
"And did I mention? When a Blackwing is face-up on my field, I'm allowed to summon the following Monster without any penalty! That's right; Blackwing – Elphin the Raven, you can come on out!"
Blackwing – Elphin the Raven, Level 6: ATK 2200
"Now, Blackwing Armor Master, attack Sun Dragon Inti! Soaring Shadow Strike!"
Blackwing Armor Master flew towards Sun Dragon Inti and managed to punch it, but he wasn't strong enough to destroy the dragon.
"Fool!" Goodwin laughed. "Your Blackwing doesn't have enough attack points to win this battle!"
Two of Sun Dragon Inti's heads bit Blackwing Armor Master by his wings and held him still before releasing a beam of sunlight from the sun stone, trying to roast the winged beast. However, Blackwing Armor Master didn't get a single scratch.
"You see, Blackwing Armor Master can't be destroyed in battle and any battle damage that occurred becomes zero!" Crow explained. "But, wait, there's more! Whatever Monster Blackwing Armor Master attacked is tagged with a Wedge Counter! And once it wedges its way inside, that Monster's attack and defense points become zero for the turn!"
Sun Dragon Inti, Level 8: ATK 3000 – ATK 0
"Meaning my other Blackwing, Elphin the Raven, can't miss!"
Blackwing – Elphin flew towards the sun dragon and slashed its glowing sun stone with his claws in an X. Seconds later, the sun stone shattered into pieces along with Sun Dragon Inti's heads and necks. Some debris of the sun stone rained on Goodwin, causing his Life Points and Speed Counters to go down a lot.
Crow: 4000 LP = SPC 5
Jack: 4000 LP = SPC 5
Yusei: 4000 LP = SPC 5
Estelle: 4000 LP = SPC 5
Goodwin: 15,000 LP – 12,800 LP = SPC 5 – SPC 3
"I'm afraid that's where you're wrong, Crow", Goodwin chuckled. "There's no such thing as 'can't miss'. Not for you and not for the so-called Legendary Man you modeled your life after. Believe me; I know."
"What are you talkin' about?!" Crow asked confusedly.
"Hold on!" Yusei called. "You can't mean… You're the Legendary Man?!"
"What?!" Jack exclaimed in shock.
"The one who built the bridge from Satellite?!" Crow gaped in disbelief.
"Back to the Duel!" Goodwin demanded, ignoring the questions. "And to your Elphin the Raven, because any Monster that destroys Sun Dragon Inti is also destroyed! And then you take damage equal to its attack points!"
A lightning bolt was shot from the top of the Stairway to somewhere of the Condor crest. Crow's painful cry echoed from my Duel Disk so loudly it rattled me to the core.
Crow: 4000 LP – 1800 LP = SPC 5 – SPC 3
Jack: 4000 LP = SPC 5
Yusei: 4000 LP = SPC 5
Estelle: 4000 LP = SPC 5
Goodwin: 12,800 LP = SPC 5
"Additionally, when Sun Dragon Inti is destroyed, I'm allowed to summon Moon Dragon Quilla from my Graveyard!"
Moon Dragon Quilla, Level -6: DEF 2000
"You see, Crow, even when you can't miss, you could still be destroyed. That's a lesson I learned the hard way. Yes, I'm the one who tried to build that bridge from Satellite! I thought I too couldn't miss, but I was wrong. And now I know that if you really want something, you must do whatever it's necessary to get it!"
"Not if it means hurting people!" Crow yelled angrily. "And that's why we're gonna stop you, right here and right now!"
Goodwin just chuckled before I felt the power of the Crimson Dragon in my Mark. My Star Mark was glowing through the elbow-length handless glove, but it didn't vanish from my arm. I turned my eyes at Aki and the twins and saw their Marks had disappeared. I turned my eyes back at Goodwin and felt them widen in fear when I saw the completed Mark of the Dragon glowing on the evil man's chest, and that included the Heart Mark. Now, he had the Dark Sign on his back and the Crimson Dragon's Seal on his chest, like the two sides of a coin.
"Goodwin…! He stole our Marks!" Yusei gasped.
"It's only a matter of time before I defeat you, Signers and Priestess! I'll stop at nothing to rule all!"
