Shido walked up to the house and got ready to knock on the door when he heard screaming coming from the other side of the door. Opening the door, he ran inside to see his best friend being cornered by her parents as Kurumi panted and looked around in fear, "Hey!" the three looked back before Kurumi jumped up and ran towards him, wrapping her arms around him as she hid behind him, "What the hell are you doing?"
"Careful kid, she's a monster!" Kurumi's father snapped and Kurumi frowned as she hung her head.
Shido narrowed his eyes as he wrapped an arm around her and shook his head, "I know parents get into arguments with their kids…but this is ridiculous…c'mon Kurumi, let's go," without warning, Shido took her hand and led her out of the house.
The two walked in silence before Kurumi sighed, "You should've left me," Shido looked back in confusion, "They're right…I'm a monster…I killed someone and now I'm a monster an-" Shido sighed as he hugged her and Kurumi's eyes widened, "Shido?"
"So you killed someone, that doesn't make you a monster, Kurumi," Shido separated from her and stared at her with narrowed eyes, "I don't care if you killed someone, you're still Kurumi Tokisaki, my best friend," Kurumi frowned before she hugged Shido again and Shido returned the embrace as he rubbed her back to comfort her as she lightly cried into his shoulder.
