Izuku stood in front of the dorms, bags in hand, the instructions he had received had been fairly simple drop his stuff off in the lobby, room selection would be after classes that same day. He looked to the sky, still dark with the first hint of the sun peeking out from the horizon. He had gotten here early under advisement from All Might. Izuku wandered inside and was startled at the presence of two other boys who had apparently arrived even earlier than he had. He walked into the communal room and took in everything he saw; Large TV's on the walls, couches spread around the room with adorning chairs and small tables, there was a sizeable kitchen area with stainless steel appliances and what looked like onyx countertops, finally two boys sat at one of the central areas with the couches surrounding a large glass table.
One boy he knew instantly. After all, he had grown up around Ka-Chan and even with his head tucked down chin to his chest and a hoodie covering most of his face there was no real mistaking him. He occupied the rightmost couch.
The other boy he recognized from his entrance exam, half snow-white hair, half burning red hair and a large burn scar across his face. Izuku wasn't sure if he was imagining it or if the scar resembled a handprint to him, he looked away quickly before he was caught staring. This boy was spread out on the center couch a book in one hand and a sandwich in the other.
Izuku moved forward and claimed the remaining couch on the right side. He liked this one, he could see people come and go from the stairs and the front entrance. Bakugo's couch had a commanding view of the back wall of the room and the kitchen area. The third couch had the least and the most view, nothing important right in front of it, but with a slight turn of the head the boy, if he was so inclined, could turn and look at either of the other areas he had mentioned.
"Almost like we've split the room in thirds." Izuku thought idly as he fiddled with his bag. Classes wouldn't start for another hour and some change. "I wonder what All Might is doing…"
~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_ JUSTICE! POV! ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~
"Thank you Eraserhead for making time to talk with me before classes, I know things have been hectic especially with you continuing your nightly patrols." All Might said as he sat in his deflated form sipping tea. Eraserhead sat across from him in what amounted to a small office space.
"Well, you did say you wanted to speak with me about the one boy, and after the last bomb you and Nezu dropped on me, I figured I had better make time." Eraserhead said as he slowly blinked his eyes and then rubbed at them as they stung.
"Yes well, it is tied into that previous topic, that Young Midoriya falls into. As we discussed, my power is waning with time and due to my injury. The reason you had to be called in to the hospital that day is I passed my quirk along to Izuku, he WILL be the next symbol of peace." Here All Might paused and frowned deeply. "His latent quirk became erratic when it suddenly activated. I'm not saying to give the boy special treatment, but perhaps be aware that until a few months ago he was quirkless and developed some coping mechanisms that may come up."
Eraserhead let out a grunt, as he turned to the folder he had received and flipped it open looking at the information contained within again.
Izuku Midoriya. Quirk: Dynamo. Izuku's quirk is a threefold mixture rolled into one.
Part One: He is able to supercharge allies, granting them a boost in their quirk's effective power level along with physical energy/stamina being returned to them. This alone would place him into a special watchlist program, very few Quirks are able to alter the very nature of another's quirk. (IE: Eraserhead)
("Nezu here. With this in mind Izuku will be placed in Aizawa's room as the two share this special classification of Quirk Affecting Quirks")
Part Two: Izuku can power himself with his quirk, granting him an increased measure in all physical aspects; Speed, Strength, Endurance ect. Unknown if it could be turned toward mental improvements
Part 3: Izuku shows a minor electrokinetic power. Currently this is the weakest of the three-part quirk, but knowing he is young this could increase over time. Currently the extent of this power is controlled electrical waves that pulse over his body while his quirk is active
"And you are saying that part two is due to your quirk being passed to him?" Aizawa asked as he glanced up at All Might who was still sipping on his tea.
"Yes, also the ridiculous amount of energy he has could be feeding into his natural quirk. Without One For All, he would probably never surpass being a sidekick, a highly sought after sidekick, but a sidekick none the less. At its' base One for All is a stockpiling quirk, it absorbs energy and stores it, multiplying it over time. With all of the excess power granted to him Izuku could now be a battlefield general passing out power up boosts to those who will need it most depending on the situation. Not to mention he can step into the fight himself with his physical prowess." All Might explained as he sat his glass of tea down and crossed his hands in his lap.
"Nezu's Thoughts?" Aizawa asked simply. A loaded question. Nezu would have had his beady black eyes on Izuku from minute one.
"He is taking a wait and watch approach. If the boy shows promise he will start testing him. Until then he is a normal recommended student with a very powerful quirk." Aizawa let out a scoff that he quickly turned into a cough.
"I see. I suppose I will accept your conditions and keep an eye on this… Problem Child."
Bakugo watched as other students came into the dorms and wandered around. He had heard stories of their quirks, even seen some of them in his practical test, including the one who was making his way over now, the boy with the bird head and living shadow.
"Katsuki-san, it is a good wind that brings me to find you. How are you feeling?"
"Better. Thank you again for saving me like you did." Bakugo said evenly.
"It was my and Dark Shadow's pleasure. We could not leave one who had sacrificed his safety for another to be left in vain." Tokoyami said as he took a seat on Bakugo's left.
"Oh wow, you two look so cool!" Bakugo jerked his head up and saw… a floating tanktop and pants. Bakugo glanced to his left, Tokoyami was in a black shirt and black cargo pants, he himself was in a gray hoodie with an All Might logo on it along with a pair of beige shorts. He didn't know if he would describe them as cool persay.
"Toruuuuu, You can't just walk up to people and say that!" Bakugo swiveled his eyes but he needn't have bothered, it would be impossible to miss this person, pink skin, antennae's, and eyes as dark as the night sky made her a sight to see, not to mention that she was pretty cute looking.
"I'm sorry about her, she gets excited so easily. My name is Mina Ashido, and this chatterbox is Toru Hagakure. Nice to meet you!" The girl, now introduced as Mina, said before immediately starting to socialize with those around him, soon enough she had gathered a growing group. He grunted quietly not how he wanted this to start at all. He had wanted to say something to Deku, but he had just sat there quietly fidgeting.
"Oh you're that boy!" Bakugo leaned his head just a bit to get a better view of who was talking. The round-faced girl he had saved was talking to Deku animatedly flicking her fingers this way and that and making wooshing noises. It seemed that that was the catalyst for something to change as people began spreading out. He saw the tanktop and pants go sit next to the half and half kid who had been here even before he had arrived, a few other small groups formed and shifted but none got the chance to solidify as a loud buzzer sound went off and it was announced that everyone should begin heading to class.
There were so many people, to many people, Todoroki could already feel himself getting cooler as ice covered the tip of one of his fingers and his breathing quickened. He was given a reprieve when the bell rang and he exhaled letting out a breath that came out as a small white puff of fog. He had been close to asking people to give him some space. Thankfully everyone separated, grabbed their bags which had been thrown this way and that randomly, and began making their way to the skyway that connected the Rising Heights A dorm to the school.
In front of him he could hear that strange boy with the green hair he had met during his exam animatedly pointing out structures on the grounds as they walked past windows. He hadn't seen him here, and as far as he knew he was the only one who had been living inside the dorms early, so how did this boy know where the gymnasiums were, or the nurses station, or the science and support classrooms. The kept a pretty tight pack as they made their way through the school finally ending at a Classroom marked 1-A Hero Course. Up ahead he could hear the green haired kid say.
"Alright everyone this is the first day of training for the future, lets do it!" and with that he walked through the door. Todoroki didn't get much inspiration out of that, but he could see he was in the minority as people were getting louder and louder filled with excitement as they piled inside the room. The room wasn't small by any means, that was for certain Todoroki decided as he walked past the first several rows and found a seat off to the side near a window and halfway back. He let out a small grin that he was fairly certain only he could see as he took a seat and placed his stuff on his new desk.
Katsuki took a seat in the back of the room and slung out a notebook and began writing down his observations, some were simple things, like the dispensers on the elbows of one kid, the invisible girl's invisibility didn't extend to her backpack or gloves, things like that as he waited for class to start. There was a dull murmur all around him as he took a seat in the middle of the classroom a few rows back from the front. All around him people were doing their own thing. He kicked his feet up after he finished writing and closed his eyes. Their teacher still wasn't here yet and it was already a minute past when class was supposed to start. He was beginning to nod off when he felt a hand slap his desk, his eyes sprung open to see a kid with dark colored hair staring at him disapprovingly through his glasses.
"You're defacing school property; you need to take your feet off the desk!" Bakugo blinked at him once then twice and then took his feet off of the desk and stood up kicking his chair backwards where it struck the area behind him causing a clatter. He was a little shorter than this kid, but that hardly mattered as he squared his shoulders and took a wide stance. The kid flinched back away from him and adjusted his glasses.
"Listen up four-eyes, I'm trying real hard to turn over a new leaf and be a really good person like a hero should be. That doesn't mean I'm going to sit here and listen to you throw a fit about something so relatively minor that the teacher probably wouldn't say anything about it anyway when they showed up. Let's get his straight, I'm here to be a hero it doesn't mean I'm here to be your or anyone else's friend." Bakugo said venomously as he continually stepped forward as the physically taller boy kept taking steps backwards. A cough from the front of the room drew everyone's attention to a man dressed in all black with a white scarf who was standing at the podium.
"I think that will be enough. Everyone take your seats… NOW." Bakugo walked back to his seat and sat down while watching the teacher. He didn't recognize this guy at all, he glanced around the room neither did anyone else by the looks he was seeing. There were three exceptions however, one was Izuku no surprise there, another was a girl with a long black pony tail, and the final was the boy who had been in the dorms when he had arrived.
"My name is Aizawa, I will be your homeroom teacher. As most of you don't know based on your looks, my hero name is Eraserhead. I'm an underground hero. The media does not help my position, so I try to stay out of it as much as possible. I'm going to lay the ground rules out early and as we have perfect attendance there will be no excuses for breaking them. First, you are here to be heroes, not taking that seriously will see you replaced in this class very quickly; this is the cream of the crop act like it. Rule two, the dorms are your place of residence, there will be a rotating chore list; everyone is expected to do them, act like adults and you will be treated like adults. Rule three non-sanctioned campus fighting is grounds for expulsion no ifs ands or buts, you are all in training and some of you have combat quirks that can seriously maim or kill your opponents. Rule four formal complaints will be handled by an outside force separate from the class, this is to prevent any acts of favoritism, if a formal complaint is made about you then depending on the severity you can also be expelled. This is the top hero school in the country we run a very tight operation here, if you fail to meet the standards we set out, you will be cut from the program and your spot will be filled. Any questions you have now would be the time." The man said as he stood at the podium giving them all a deep look. Bakugo was just starting to wonder what they would be doing next when the girl with the long black ponytail raised her hand.
"Eraserhead-san, I do have a question. Will this be a practical class or a book focused class setting?"
"Yayorozo, correct?" He responded immediately and when he saw her nod he continued "The school is run on a rotating teacher basis, as needed for each class a teacher will rotate into the room and teach their lesson. Some of your lessons will be practical requiring you to move elsewhere, such as today, when we are finished we will all be heading to training field one for an assessment. Other classes such as Heroic Tactics will be a bookwork class where you will be expected to maintain a good grade to remain in this class, if your grade dips for too long or you outright fail you will be moved to one of the auxiliary classes such as 2A or even possible the support course."
When no one else raised their hand, Eraserhead leaned down and pressed a button on the desk, suddenly with a hiss of pressurized air several tubes opened up on one of the walls. "You will each find a training uniform with your name on it. These are made specifically for us and are near indestructible while also allowing for a wide range of powers. For some of you your suit has been modified to allow your powers to work with them. If they are destroyed, you can fill out a form and receive another free of charge. Now if everyone would move to training field one and change, we will begin our lesson." With that Eraserhead went over to one of the windows and leapt out of it to the shock of some of the people watching, when they rushed over to the window to look they were amazed at the acrobatics the man was using to reach the ground safely.
Bakugo had just stood when he noticed Izuku glancing at the window then the door then back at the window. Under his breath he muttered "Don't be stupid you have no way…" and suddenly once people had just started moving away from the window Izuku exploded forward leaving a dent in the floor as he rocketed out the same window their teacher had just exited. Bakugo raced over to another window and was amazed as he saw Izuku roll to a stop next to Eraserhead who had stopped and watched the event. Bakugo wasn't sure who said it, but a fair guess was on Izuku. A slow muttering was building, It was so easy to see the results however…
"PLUS ULTRA!" and suddenly students where leaping from the windows in droves, using their quirks left right and center to make their way down to the field area below them, only a few didn't leave from the windows, those he guessed that didn't have a quirk they could leverage for traversing the distance. He himself had used small measured blasts to slow his descent where he landed in a roll into sprint to end up next to the others. Perhaps today would be an interesting day after all…
