The Turbo Duels with Team Catastrophe will be different, just like with Team Unicorn. I'll be using Team Catastrophe's Decks from "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2011: Over the Nexus" with some modifications. I hope you'll enjoy the Duels!

Chapter 87: VS. Team Catastrophe – Estelle
It felt like a huge boulder had been lifted off my shoulders after I opened up and told my friends the truth about Team Catastrophe and the invasion of the Diablo army. I didn't feel guilty anymore for holding back the secrets and the incidents that could unfold in the later course. That's why I was going to let them know more as soon as I notice a tiny indication of an event that originally happened in the anime.
But, now, we had a cheating team to deal with.
After studying the tape that Carly had with her, Yusei, Jack, and I came up with some ideas to counteract Team Catastrophe's Decks. They were using cards that forced Monsters to change their battle positions, which was pretty similar to their video game Decks. Yusei and Jack modified their Decks a little bit while I kept mine just the way it was.
And, since I was the one who created this mess, I offered to go first to avenge Crow.

The next day arrived and you could feel the tension in the air in the whole city. Goodwin kept his word and spread the news to alert the citizens to stay cautious as an "anonymous" threat had reached Sector Security that could affect everyone.
While my team was waiting by the entrance of the pit for the signal to walk out, I peeked outside to check the audience. The people were awfully quiet, which meant they were nervous about this threat and Turbo Duel.
"Man, the mood in the stadium is totally different than usual", Leo commented while he peeked out.
"Everyone is on the edge because of the 'threat'", Bruno commented.
"And they might be worried to witness new crashes caused by Team Catastrophe", Carly added. "I've seen the latest statistics of the Grand Prix and Team Catastrophe is currently the most hated team in the competition."
"I'm still worried about Team Catastrophe…", Luna mumbled. "What if you guys get hurt? Then, if the invasion will really happen, you won't be able to stop it!"
"Like that will ever happen to us!" Jack snorted loudly.
"Don't worry, Luna", Yusei said before patting the twin girl's head. "If we stay cautious throughout the Duel and dodge Hook the Hidden Knight's sneak attacks, we'll be fine. But…" He turned his eyes on me with a slight worried expression. "Are you really sure you want to go first, Estelle?"
"I'm 100% sure", I nodded as I held my helmet. "I didn't warn Crow in time about his incident with the locked wheels, so I want to make it up by going first and make sure Team Catastrophe regrets harming him and Team Unicorn."
"I appreciate it, Estelle, but keep your cool", Crow said. "I don't want you to lose sight and head into revenge mode."
"Don't worry; I won't get blinded by my anger…hopefully", I hesitantly added the last part.
"Hello, everybody!" the MC's voice echoed from outside. "Is everybody pumped up?!"
The audience somewhat managed to release their tension and began cheering, whistling, and clapping their hands. I hadn't inserted the high-tech earbuds in my ears yet, so I inwardly flinched when the screeching noise reached my ears.
"The preliminaries of the first World Racing Grand Prix, to determine the Turbo Duel World's very best, is finally winding down! Today's match card is one of the most interesting yet! Let's quickly introduce the competing teams! First up is the team that won over Team Unicorn by forcing them all to crash! Team Catastrophe!"
The audience immediately began booing as soon as the three members of the cheating team walked out to the pit. The trio acted all nonchalantly as if they had done nothing wrong. There were a few who actually cheered for them, but they could barely be heard among the booing.
"Team Catastrophe… How dare they harm Team Unicorn?!" Leo angrily gritted his teeth.
"Calm down, Leo", I gently grabbed his shoulder. "We'll make sure to defeat them in a humiliating way. That's the best punishment for evil people with big egos."
"You talkin' about Jack? 'Cause he's got a big ego", Crow laughed.
"Excuse me?!" Jack growled.
"And they're up against the team lead by Fudo Yusei, winner of the Fortune Cup! Team 5D's!"
Yusei walked out first with me and Jack following him while the rest of the team walked behind us. The audience quickly changed their attitude and cheered for us. We waved our hands to our supporters, accepting their encouraging cheers and well-wishes. It was weird to have official supporters, but it was a nice feeling to see there were people who cheered and admired us. Carly mentioned there were fan groups on different social media, created by our fans to share their thoughts, pictures, and "delicious" rumors.
When the introductions were done, I prepared my Duel Runner and my Deck for the Turbo Duel by the start line. Bruno and Yusei made final checks on my Runner and gave me the go. I picked up the earbuds from the pocket of my jacket-top and inserted them in my ears before adjusting the settings on my smartphone.
"And…done", I nodded to myself before turning to Luna. "Luna, I entrust you with my smartphone. Look after it for me while I'm Dueling, okay?"
"Sure", she nodded before she took the smartphone and put it in the pocket of her pit crew jacket.
"This is it…", Bruno said worriedly. "Be very careful out there, Estelle."
"I will", I nodded before I put my helmet on and rolled down the visor.
Everyone returned to the pit with Team Catastrophe after they had finished helping Hermann prepare his Duel Runner. There was a chance that Nicolas had given him the Hook the Hidden Knight card to him, so I had to keep my eyes open and stay cautious.
"Okay, the match is about to begin!" the MC called. "The first Duelists will be 5D's Estelle and Catastrophe's Hermann!"
"Don't think I'll go easy on you just 'cause you're a woman", Hermann spoke up. "I'll crush your Blue-Eyes before you know it."
"I'd like to see you try", I retorted nonchalantly. "But I hope to see an honorable Duel from your team without using any dirty moves like what you did with Team Unicorn and Crow."
I intentionally said the last part to agitate him a little bit. Crow didn't walk up to Team Catastrophe to give them a warning, like what he did in the anime, so I thought they should get at least a piece of warning advice.
Hermann shut up after that, but I heard him mutter something beneath his breath. It sounded like some colorful words that I didn't wish to repeat.
"Speed World 2, set!" the Duel Runners automatically activated both the Field Spell and the Solid Vision.
The holographic countdown screen appeared above the start line and started counting down for the start of the Turbo Duel. My eyes followed each lamp that lightened up second by second until the main lamp turned green.
"Turbo Duel! Acceleration!" the MC yelled.
Hermann and I drove our Runners past the start line, commencing the Turbo Duel. Of course, the one who would go first was the one who rounded the first corner of the course. I decided to let Hermann go first, so I could see what kind of cards he would use… Or even worse, summon Hook the Hidden Knight.
I slowed down to let Hermann be in the lead as I followed him from behind.
"The Duelist who goes first is Hermann!" the MC called. "Commence the Duel!"
I drew my first five cards and added them to my Wrist Dealer. I got the White Stone of Legend, Jar of Avarice, Sage with Eyes of Blue, the Ultimate Creature of Destruction, and Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon. I could work with these cards, depending on what Hermann was going to do.
"Duel!" Hermann and I yelled simultaneously.
Hermann: 4000 LP
Estelle: 4000 LP
"My turn!" Hermann called as he drew his sixth card. "I summon Dream Clown in attack mode!"
Dream Clown, Level 3: ATK 1200
So it was Dream Clown and not Hook the Hidden Knight? I guess he either didn't draw the Shadow Card or he didn't have the card in his Deck at all.
"I place one card facedown and end my turn."
I had to be careful with Dream Clown. If the facedown card Hermann had just set is a Trap card that could change the Monster's battle position while I have a Monster on the field, its effect could destroy it.
"My turn!" I yelled, drawing my sixth card, which was my second White Stone of Legend.
Hermann: 4000 LP = SPC 0 – SPC 1
Estelle: 4000 LP = SPC 0 – SPC 1
"I summon the White Stone of Legend in defense mode!" I shouted.
White Stone of Legend, Level 1, Tuner: DEF 250
"And, now, I activate Sage with Eyes of Blue's effect from my hand! I send him to the Graveyard to target an Effect Monster I control and send it to the Graveyard, so I can Special summon a 'Blue-Eyes' Monster from my Deck! I Special summon Dragon Spirit of White, which is always treated as a 'Blue-Eyes' card!"
Dragon Spirit of White, Level 8: ATK 2500
"Estelle didn't waste any time to summon one of her powerful Blue-Eyes dragons!" the MC commented.
"Dragon Spirit of White's effect activates when it's Normal or Special summoned! It can target one Spell or Trap card my opponent controls and banish it!" I continued. "I choose your facedown, Hermann!"
"If you're going to get rid of it, I might as well activate it!" Hermann shouted. "I activate my Trap; No Entry! This card forces every attack position Monster on the field to change to defense position!"
Dream Clown crouched down on one knee and crossed his arms in front of his chest as Dragon Spirit of White lowered its head and folded its wings.
Dream Clown, Level 3: ATK 1200 – DEF 900
Dragon Spirit of White, Level 8: ATK 2500 – DEF 2000
"Dream Clown's effect activates!" Hermann continued. "When it's changed from attack position to defense position, it destroys a Monster on the opponent's side of the field! I destroy Dragon Spirit of White!"
Dream Clown uncrossed his arms and shaped his hands into a ball in which he used his magic to create a green flaming ball. Once it was as big as a basketball, he threw it at Dragon Spirit of White. My dragon was hit on the head and started screeching in pain as the green flames engulfed its body before it exploded into pieces.
"Okay, but since the White Stone of Legend was sent to the Graveyard, I get to add one Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the Deck to my hand", I explained calmly as my Deck shuffled itself before I drew the top card, which was said Monster. "Now… I reveal Blue-Eyes White Dragon in my hand to Special summon Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon!"
Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon, Level 8: ATK 3000
"Oooh, what luck! Estelle may have lost her first dragon, but she brought out another one immediately!" the MC commented.
"It's time to battle!" I commanded. "Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon, attack Dream Clown with Alternative White Lightning!"
Blue-Eyes Alternative opened his mouth and collected white energy before unleashing an attack extremely similar to Blue-Eyes White Dragon's. Dream Clown was swallowed by the white lightning and shattered into pieces, leaving Hermann's field empty.
"I place two cards facedown and end my turn", I called, setting the Ultimate Creature of Destruction and Jar of Avarice.
"I'm not scared of your mighty dragon, woman!" Hermann snorted loudly through the radio. "But trust me when I say you haven't seen the worst yet. My turn!"
Hermann: 4000 LP = SPC 1 – SPC 2
Estelle: 4000 LP = SPC 1 – SPC 2
"I summon Cannon Soldier in attack mode!"
Cannon Soldier, Level 4: ATK 1400
"Cannon Soldier's effect activates! I can Tribute a Monster I control to inflict 500 points of damage to you! I Tribute Cannon Soldier!"
Wait, what? Why did he choose to Tribute the only Monster he had on his field?
Cannon Soldier loaded cartridges into its gun on the top of the frame and aimed it at me. I braced myself as the Monster fired several rounds at me. The bullets rained upon me as I felt the sensation of being shot, but it was just an illusion.
Hermann: 4000 LP = SPC 2
Estelle: 4000 LP – 3500 LP = SPC 2
"I place one card facedown and end my turn", Hermann said, finishing his turn right away.
Why was he going so slow in this Duel? Was he bricking or was he intentionally waiting for an opportunity to strike big and hard?
"My turn!" I yelled, drawing Speed Spell – Angel Baton.
Hermann: 4000 LP = SPC 2 – SPC 3
Estelle: 3500 LP = SPC 2 – SPC 3
"I play the Speed Spell – Angel Baton!" I shouted. "I can activate it while I have 2 or more Speed Counters. I draw two cards from my Deck and then send one card from my hand to the Graveyard!"
I drew the top two cards and got Dragon's Rage and the White Stone of Ancients. It was an obvious choice of which card I should send to the Graveyard. I added the Trap card to my hand and discarded the Monster card, since it would be more helpful at the end of my turn.
"I now summon my second White Stone of Legend in defense mode!"
White Stone of Legend, Level 1, Tuner: DEF 250
"I now tune Level 1 White Stone of Legend with Level 8 Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon! Do you hear the howl in the air? That's the cry of the Silver Star alpha wolf traveling with the northern winds! Synchro summon! Come, Stellar Wind Wolfrayet!"
Stellar Wind Wolfrayet, Level 9: ATK 2500
"The first Synchro Monster has appeared on the field, and it's a wolf with its fur in the same colors as the stars in the galaxy!" the MC commented.
"The White Stone of Legend's effect activates now that it's been sent to the Graveyard, meaning I get to add another Blue-Eye White Dragon from the Deck to my hand, and Stellar Wind Wolfrayet's effect activates as well!" I called. "Whenever a Monster effect is activated, whether it's my or the opponent's Monster, Wolfrayet gains 300 attack points until he reaches 4000 attack points by his own effect!"
Wolfrayet raised his head to start howling while the body released a gentle light that made the metallic silver fur glow like Stardust Dragon's silver scales.
"I activate my Trap; Fiendish Chain!" Hermann suddenly yelled. "I can target one Effect Monster and negate its effects while it's on the field and it won't be able to attack! I choose your Stellar Wind Wolfrayet!"
Green chains were ejected from the Trap card and wrapped around my silver wolf. His wings were tucked close to his body and even his snout got wrapped like a muzzle. He was unable to neither move his wings nor make a noise. Being a former dog owner and seeing this, it made my heart ache in pain.
"Okay… I now activate my Trap; Jar of Avarice! I shuffle back five cards in the Graveyard to my Deck and then draw one card. I choose my two White Stone of Legends, Sage with Eyes of Blue, Dragon Spirit of White, and Speed Spell – Angel Baton!"
The Graveyard slot ejected the five chosen cards, which I placed on top of my Deck. The Wrist Dealer made sure to shuffle the Deck before I drew the top card, which was Deep-Eyes White Dragon.
There was nothing else I could do, so I grabbed the Dragon's Rage card. "I place one card facedown and head to my End Phase, where I will activate the White Stone of Ancients' effect in my Graveyard! Since I sent it to the Graveyard this turn when I played Angel Baton, I can Special summon a 'Blue-Eyes' Monster from my Deck. I Special summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Level 8: ATK 3000
"Heh! I may have been able to stop your wolf, but now you've got that blasted dragon! I'll crush your Monsters before your next turn!" Hermann snorted. "My turn!"
Hermann: 4000 LP = SPC 3 – SPC 4
Estelle: 3500 LP = SPC 3 – SPC 4
"It's time for the big ride!" Hermann laughed. "I summon Black Salvo in attack mode!"
Black Salvo, Level 3, Tuner: ATK 100
"Black Salvo's effect! When it's Normal summoned, I can Special summon a Level 4 machine-type Monster from the Graveyard! I Special summon Cannon Solider!"
Cannon Soldier, Level 4: DEF 1300
"I tune Level 3 Black Salvo with Level 4 Cannon Soldier! The sound of bombs exploding in the distance is just the tank smashing through every barrier to bring down its foes! Synchro summon! Go on a rampage, Rampaging Smashtank Rhynosaber!"
Rampaging Smashtank Rhynosaber, Level 7: ATK 2400
What in the world is that card?! I've never seen it before, nor heard of it! It looked like a massive tank with a sword in the middle and cannons attached on top of it.
"I activate Rampaging Smashtank Rhynosaber's effect! I can discard any number of cards from my hand and it will gain 700 attack points for each card. I will only discard one card, since I need the others for the greater good!"
Rampaging Smashtank Rhynosaber, Level 7: ATK 2400 – ATK 3100
"Here comes the fun part! I activate the Speed Spell – Sonic Buster! I can only activate it while I have 4 or more Speed Counters. I select one face-up Monster I control and inflict damage to my opponent equal to half its attack points! Obviously, I choose Rampaging Smashtank Rhynosaber's attack points! Take this, bitch!"
"Excuse me?!" I couldn't help but yell irritably at the vulgar language.
The holographic version of the card appeared on the field before it released a screeching shockwave. I could feel its force slightly pushing me backwards, but I didn't lose control. However, my Life Points took a big hit.
Hermann: 4000 LP = SPC 4
Estelle: 3500 LP – 1950 LP = SPC 4
"Battle! Rampaging Smashtank Rhynosaber, attack the big doggie!"
The tank Monster blew a whistle like one on a locomotive before it marched towards Wolfrayet. He was still trapped by the green chains and unable to jump out of the way. He got stabbed by Rhynosaber's front sword and exploded into pieces along with the Fiendish Chain card.
Hermann: 4000 LP = SPC 4
Estelle: 1950 LP – 1350 LP = SPC 4
"Ow! Estelle's taken a big amount of damage, however, she's still got her Blue-Eyes White Dragon on the field, so Hermann might have to expect an attack on the next turn!" the MC commented.
"I place one card facedown and end my turn!" Hermann called. "How's this? Can you really attack my tank or not?"
I didn't respond to that because I knew I wouldn't be able to use Blue-Eyes White Dragon to attack Rhynosaber, unless I got a card that could aid me. "My turn!" I shouted, drawing a card.
Hermann: 4000 LP = SPC 4 – SPC 5
Estelle: 1350 LP = SPC 4 – SPC 5
I held back a soft grunt as I checked the card I had just drawn. It was Dragon Spirit of White. I was bricking hard now, but that was expected with my Blue-Eyes Deck. I had to be very lucky to get the right cards at the right time.
"The only thing I'll do now is activating my Continuous Trap; Dragon's Rage!" I shouted.
"And I activate my Trap; Pulse Mines!" Hermann intercepted. "If I control a machine Monster, I can change my opponent's attack position Monsters to defense position, also, until the end of this turn, if a Monster is Normal or Special summoned to my opponent's field, they are changed to defense position!"
Multiple spheres that looked like those electronic lamps that if you touched the surface the electricity would get attracted to you appeared around Blue-Eyes White Dragon, making the dragon cautious of them. The spheres increased their brightness before they exploded around me and Blue-Eyes. I turned my head away to not get blinded by the light and keep eyes on the course so I wouldn't crash. When the light died down, Blue-Eyes White Dragon had crouched down into defense position with its wings folded to its body.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Level 8: ATK 3000 – DEF 2500
I could've used the Ultimate Creature of Destruction to make my Blue-Eyes Monster unaffected by the card effect, but I didn't want to waste it just yet.
"I end my turn", I called.
"Oh, is someone scared here? You shouldn't have taken your friend's place", Hermann taunted me. "The World Racing Grand Prix is for big guys only! My turn!"
Hermann: 4000 LP = SPC 5 – SPC 6
Estelle: 1350 LP = SPC 5 – SPC 6
"I activate Speed World 2! I remove 4 Speed Counters to inflict 800 points of damage with Speed Spell – Angel Baton!"
Hermann made a turnback so he could aim the front of his Runner at me. I braced myself as I watched the lightning coming from the Runner. I held back a grunt of pain as the Solid Vision effect struck me and made my body tingle.
Hermann: 4000 LP = SPC 6 – SPC 2
Estelle: 1350 LP – 550 LP = SPC 6
"Estelle's Life Points are now in the red zone, meaning if she gets another strike by Speed World 2's effect, she will lose the Duel and have to pass the team baton to Team 5D's' second Duelist!" the MC exclaimed.
"You're lucky that I only have 2 Speed Counters left, but that's enough to play Speed Spell – Angel Baton!" Hermann laughed, now driving behind me. "I draw two cards from my Deck and send one from my hand to the Graveyard." I waited patiently as he checked the two cards and sent one to the Graveyard. "Rampaging Smashtank Rhynosaber, attack Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
The whistle on the tank blew again before it marched towards my crouched dragon. The sword on the front of Rhynosaber reflected the sunlight before it struck Blue-Eyes. The dragon cried in pain as it got stabbed and run over by the tank Monster. Blue-Eyes exploded into pieces that rain upon me, but some of them remained floating in the air due to the next move I was about to pull.
"I activate Deep-Eyes White Dragon's effect in my hand!" I shouted. "When a face-up 'Blue-Eyes' Monster I control is destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect, and I have a dragon-type Monster in my Graveyard, I can Special summon Deep-Eyes White Dragon from my hand!"
Deep-Eyes White Dragon, Level 10: ATK 0
Deep-Eyes shone like an angel clad in silver. I've never managed to summon it before in a Duel, so it was majestic sight. This feeling felt like the time I saw Stardust Dragon for the first time when I Dueled Yusei in the Fortune Cup.
"And that's not all!" I quickly returned my attention at the Duel. "When Deep-Eyes White Dragon is summoned like this, I can inflict 600 points of damage to my opponent for each dragon-type Monster with different names in my Graveyard! I've got Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon, the White Stone of Ancients, and Blue-Eyes White Dragon. That's 1800 points of damage!"
The wings on the back of Deep-Eyes released a bright blue light that caused Hermann to briefly close his eyes to shield them. In response, Deep-Eyes sent a rain of blue crystals at him, causing his Life Points to sink while he yelped in pain by the crystal hail.
Hermann: 4000 LP – 2200 LP = SPC 2
Estelle: 550 LP = SPC 6
"And, finally, when Deep-Eyes is Normal or Special summoned, I can target one dragon-type Monster in my Graveyard and Deep-Eyes' attack points becomes equal to that Monster's. I choose Blue-Eyes White Dragon's attack points!"
Deep-Eyes White Dragon, Level 10: ATK 0 – ATK 3000
"Whatever! Your Monster is still too weak to defeat Rhynosaber!" Hermann spat. "I place one card facedown and end my turn!"
"My turn!" I yelled, drawing a card.
Hermann: 2200 LP = SPC 2 – SPC 3
Estelle: 550 LP = SPC 6 – SPC 7
Yes! I got Speed Spell – Vision Wind! Finally something good instead of the constant bricking!
"First things first, I activate Speed World 2! I remove 4 Speed Counters to inflict 800 points of damage! Taste your own medicine, Hermann!"
Now it was my turn to do a turnback and fire a lightning bolt at him. Hermann cried in pain as he got electrocuted by the Field Spell.
Hermann: 2200 LP – 1400 LP = SPC 3
Estelle: 550 LP = SPC 7 – SPC 3
"Damn you…!" Hermann growled.
I ignored his colorful mouth. "Next I play Speed Spell – Vision Wind! I can activate it while I have 2 or more Speed Counters. It allows me to Special summon a Level 2 or lower Monster from my Graveyard, but it's then destroyed by the end of this turn. I Special summon the White Stone of Ancients!"
White Stone of Ancients, Level 1, Tuner: DEF 500
"I tune Level 1 White Stone of Ancients with Level 10 Deep-Eyes White Dragon! A million suns are never enough to outshine the brightest star of the universe! Synchro summon! Arise, the Emperor of the Stars, Star Eater!"
Star Eater, Level 11: ATK 3200
It had been a while since I used Star Eater in Duels, and he was the only one who could take out Rhynosaber.
"Hah! As if I'll let you use your mighty dragon!" Hermann snorted. "I activate my Trap!" In response, his facedown card sparkled and didn't flip up on command. "What the?!"
"When Star Eater is Synchro summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated", I explained. "Also, if he attacks, he is unaffected by other card effects until the end of the Damage Step."
"Lucky bitch…!" Hermann growled loudly.
I couldn't take it anymore. "Language, good sir! There are children watching this Duel! Star Eater, attack Rampaging Smashtank Rhynosaber with Starlight Breaker!"
My ace Monster collected the energy from the stars before firing a thick beam at Rhynosaber, finally destroying it and clearing Hermann's field, minus his facedown card.
Hermann: 1400 LP – 1300 LP = SPC 3
Estelle: 550 LP = SPC 7 – SPC 3
"End Phase, meaning the White Stone of Ancients' effect activates because it was sent to the Graveyard this turn! I Special summon a 'Blue-Eyes' Monster from my Deck and I choose Dragon Spirit of White!"
Dragon Spirit of White, Level 8: ATK 2500
"Dragon Spirit of White's effect activates! I banish your facedown card, Hermann!"
"Just like last time you used this move, I'll activate my card; Zero Gravity!" Hermann yelled. "This card changes the battle position of every Monster on the field!"
Star Eater, Level 11: ATK 3200 – DEF 2800
Dragon Spirit of White, Level 8: ATK 2500 – DEF 2000
"Okay", I shrugged softly, since it wasn't that big of a problem.
Even if I did end up losing Star Eater, I could still protect Dragon Spirit of White with my Ultimate Creature of Destruction card.
"My turn!" Hermann shouted.
Hermann: 1300 LP = SPC 3 – SPC 4
Estelle: 550 LP = SPC 3 – SPC 4
He was silent for a couple of seconds before he started laughing like a madman. "I hate to say it, but you're gonna lose! I activate the Speed Spell – Speed Storm!"
"Speed Storm?!" I gasped in shock.
"That's right! I can activate it while I have 4 or more Speed Counters and inflict 1000 points of damage to my opponent! Bye-bye, princess!"
A whirlwind mixed with lightning blew out from the Speed Spell card and swallowed me in the middle of the eye. I grunted as the noise of violent wind and crackling lightning overwhelmed my ears, even though I had set my earbuds to reduce the surrounding noise.
Luckily, the noise quickly died down as my Life Points dropped to zero. My Duel Runner opened compartments to release steam before the engine got overheated.
