And we are back! Probably should finish my other stories but this is one of those niggly ones what want to escape from what remains of my brain!
Hope you all are staying safe in these new and interesting times we are all living in
"If you two are done with your whisper fight! Can we move on?" Ella rolled her eyes in good nature at the antics of her adopted family, "or at least speak up, girl always wants to hear the goss!"
"Sorry Ella, no gossip here, Lucifer is just being Lucifer!" Chloe gave Ella a 'what you going to do?' shrug, causing Ella to smirk,
"Fine, well, if you are going to be all boring, let me get back to the case?" Ella turned away and started examining the potential murder weapon what was lined up on her table, the case they were all working on seemed pretty straight forward and in Lucifer's words, boring!
"Yes well, if you are going to be so closed minded Detective, I am not sure we…." Lucifer gasped and swayed dangerously, he gabbed at the examination table to steady himself, crushing the metal beneath his fingers, both Ella and Chloe rushed to his side, his sharp intake of breath had their full attention.
"Lucifer?" Chloe almost yelled as her hands grasped at the Devil, helping him keep his balance as he swayed again,
"Dude, you ok?" Ella asked almost as desperately as Chloe had, Lucifer's head snapped up, fiery eyes met Ella's,
"No Miss Lopez, I most certainly am not! " There was a brief pause and then, "The multiverse has fallen!" Lucifer gasped again and then hit the floor.
"Steve, you seeing this?"
"Got eyes Dave!"
"What do you reckon? Meteor strike?" Both men were looking down at the smoking crater in the street,
"How the hell should I know? Could be, could be a government spy satellite?"
"You and the spy satellites! You're a nut job, you know that right?"
"I'm just saying!"
"You are always just saying, wait, hang on a minute, I think there's someone down there!" Both men waved the smoke away and gazed down into the hole,
"Aliens!"
"Oh for the love of god, seriously? Aliens?"
"The chances of anything coming from mars, was a million to one they said!"
"You've been listening to war of the worlds again?"
"What?! Is a classic!"
"Well your alien looks like a blonde Liberian chick! She must have fell in, go get a ladder or something so we can get her out."
"Yeah sure, I'm on it! But make sure she aint going to suck that brain of yours!"
"Ladder now! Don't worry Miss, we're coming to get you!" The man shouted down into the smoking hole.
Lucifer blinked his eyes open, he knew he was on the floor, the cold tiles emphasized the point, the ceiling he thought could do with a paint.
"You back with us buddy?" Ella asked with genuine concern,
"Yes, yes I am, I apologise for my dramatics, not that I do not like waking to two beautiful faces, too many clothes for my liking though!" Lucifer smirked and a small smile started growing on his face,
"Gross dude, but glad you are feeling more like yourself! Is it really gone? The multiverse I mean? What about Barry, Cisco, Caitlin and Kara?" Ella babbled on.
"It did! But one universe seemed to have survived, oh, oh those heroes of ours, they did it! Somehow they managed to keep that human spirit alive, oh bravo!" Lucifer was wide eyed and feeling so alive.
"Miss, Miss, we're coming, don't move." Steve called down from his perch on the ladder,
"Kay!" The young woman called back, she was examining her surroundings and once again it seemed destruction followed her wherever she went,
"Oh thank god, you're alive!" Steve called back as he carefully made his way down the ladder,
"That I am, not sure where I am though?" The blonde asked,
"You're on Earth!" Dave called down into the hole,
"Oh for the love… Dave, I'm so going to kick your ass!" Steve yelled back,
"Yes, yes I know that but where on earth?" The Liberian looking blonde asked,
"LA, you hit your head honey?" Steven responded as he jumped off of the bottom rung of the ladder, his eyes adjusting to the darkness,
"Probably! LA?" The blonde shook her head and finally made an attempt at standing,
"Yeah, and whoa, let me help you there!" Steve reached out to steady the young woman,
"Thanks but I'm ok, really!" The blonde saw the sceptical look she was given,
"We should get you checked out, maybe call an ambulance or something?" Steve queried,
"I assure you I'm fine, I just need to get back to National City."
"National City? You sure you are ok? Hey Dave you ever heard of National City?" Steve shouted,
"That in Kansas?
"How should I know?" Steve rolled his eyes,
"What about Central City?" The blond asked with more focus,
"Yeah, never heard that either, you sure you're ok?" Steve pressed,
"Yes, yes, I am fine, I think I may be a little lost!"
"Well name a place we might know and we can help you get there." Steve smiled warmly,
"Thank you, for being so kind," the blonde closed her eyes and thought about her current situation, no National or Central Cities, different Earth but the multiverse had collapsed, hadn't it? That being said, there was one Earth that existed outside of the multiverse, was she there? So she asked the only question she had left, "Lux?!"
"That we can help you with, we know Lux but are you sure you want to go clubbing?" Steve's eyes took in the young woman in front of him, she didn't really look like the clubbing type, also the whole falling down a hole didn't help her overall look, "Doesn't really seem like your thing?"
"I know the owner, or at least I am hoping I know the owner!" She said with determination but a little confusion evident in her tone,
"Ok honey, I'll give you a lift."
