It was a Sunday morning where y/n was chilling in the living room. It's been 10 years since her parents' death and 2 years since she's been living on her own. Y/n's grandma, Gin went back to her farm in the rural area. Gin left y/n under the care of Gojo Satoru. She knew that y/n will grow under his teachings because she doesn't have much knowledge to train y/n herself. However, y/n could care less about the jujutsu society because she has no desire of becoming a meditator. The idea of being the reincarnation of mother jujutsu wasn't her thing. She found it bothersome although she complied to learning and training to be one due to her grandma's nagging.
Gojo lets y/n do whatever she wants. He's not strict on her as he wants y/n to have freedom and live a normal life. But he knows that he can't shelter her for too long while sorcerers and curse users know of her presence. y/n will face difficulties in the future if she's not trained or educated.
y/n laid on the couch. She clenched her fists, observing them as her muscles flexed. "It's been a few months since Gojo has dragged me out of the house to go on missions with him." y/n chuckled to herself, actually feeling glad he didn't come. She preferred not to join his cause because she did nothing. During the mission when y/n is dragged, she watches Gojo handle all the dirty work as she eats popcorn in the background then praises him for wasting her time. Gojo's face never falls flat when he hears y/n's snarky but lazy praises because he knows that she's gaining more knowledge by his teachings. Also, sometimes y/n loves making Gojo's mission harder by throwing herself into the mix.
y/n fixed her body position as she's now laying on the cushions, tucking her hands under her head. She stared at a blank tv screen, thinking what she should do to kill time. "Should I clean the house?"
y/n's house looked like a pig's stable. Trash was all over the place, the ground was filthy with gunk and trails of food crumbs, her house did smell bad—basically, it's a hot mess and y/n knows it. She's just been so busy with school, sorcery life, and contemplating on her future that y/n kept pushing cleaning aside until it piled up over time. y/n knows she's living in a trash can at the moment.
Sitting up, y/n ran her hands through her hair in a frustrated and lazy state. "If I keep living in a house so dirty, I'm going to die and I don't have money to pay for my medical bills either! I don't want to be in debt to Satoru too…" y/n shook her head. y/n knew that if she hadn't met Gojo, her life would be completely different in a negative way. She owes Gojo her life.
GROOOWWLLL
"Shit!" y/n quickly sat up and covered her loud stomach from crying.
Just when y/n was about to head to the kitchen, someone aggressively knocked on her front door. There were rapid knocks which were the obnoxious ones to annoy the owners inside. "Oh. My. Gosh. Who. Could. This. Be?" y/n knew the familiar knocks. She really couldn't believe she jinxed herself.
Why in the world is Satoru here? y/n asked herself as she trudged to the door only dread filled her hungry head. I should've knocked on wood
Standing in front of the door, y/n inhaled sharply and exhaled calmly. Then she grabbed the door knob and opened the door, revealing Gojo and a boy whose presence was alerting. The boy's aura was ominous as it's filled with hunger and hatred. y/n couldn't believe what she's feeling.
"Uhh…"
Before y/n could utter a single word out, Gojo cut to the chase as he grinned brightly at her. "Hi y/n! Please hide him in your house for the time being! I'll triple the pay if you say yes!" He pleaded, giving her puppy eyes behind the blindfold.
y/n stared at Gojo in disgust.
Why did he have to act like a child? What's even worse I know he's giving me those puppy eyes. I don't have to see it to know it. y/n said to herself, mentally rolling her eyes.
"Why should I?" y/n asked. His offer wasn't bad. She needed the money despite him already giving her funds. "That boy is obviously cursed or something! He's not normal!" y/n pointed at the pink haired boy who cluelessly looked in between y/n and Gojo.
Flash back…
Gojo threw his arm around Yuji's shoulders and smiled. "Since people think you're dead, you're going to stay dead for a while. However, I can't watch you so you're going to be staying with a friend of mine! She's around your age, really cool, happy, a go-getter, also connected to Sukuna, umm… very optimistic and can be snarky and petty. Sometimes she's mean… but not towards Megumi, only me. I don't know why but I'm a fun guy!"
While Gojo filled an image of who his friend could be, Yuji already felt confident that she wouldn't beat him down.
She sounds very nice! I hope she treats me well while I'm under her care. Yuji said to himself, feeling so relaxed and pumped at the same time. There's no way the pure image of Gojo's friend was going to go down the drain once he meets her.
Yuji felt uncomfortable now. The friend of Gojo wasn't that accepting of him nor did she have a friendly aura. But he knew that it's better to stay with her than getting killed again. He can't back away now.
Then Gojo snapped his middle finger and thumb together. "That's correct! He's not normal!" He threw out his hands as if he's advertising a special product that will change a person's life from rags to riches. "He's actually Sukuna's vessel!" Gojo explained what happened to the boy as y/n thought more about his deal.
Do I really want to take him in for money? I told myself that I'm not going to dabble into this jujutsu world shit. I'm not trying to die young nor I wanna exorcise curses when I already hate people in general. y/n said, huffing to herself as she tried to find the pros and cons in this situation.
Grumbling to herself, y/n reluctantly agreed. She needed the money, that's her only reason to say yes. "Fine, fine! Give me 10,000,000 yen first then I'll take him in."
Having said that, Gojo ignored y/n and stuck his head through the front door as he scanned the room. "Oh y/n, your house stinks! Did you bury a dead body in there?" He pinched his nose, speaking in a nasally voice.
y/n's eye twitched while she clenched her jaw. Gojo can never act professional without reverting back to his child-like mind, and it irked y/n's soul because it made her not want to talk to him or look in his direction. If the floor was Gojo, she would climb the tallest mountain to avoid him.
Putting on a sinister and murderous smile, y/n tilted her head to the side and glared at him. "Oh, yes! I'm definitely preparing to murder you, Satoru. That's why I have my house all smelly." She hit the top of his head as Yuji gasped.
WHACK!
"Sensei! She can hit you?! I thought you—"
Gojo rubbed his head, cutting him off in order to not ruin his pride of being the most powerful sorcerer in this generation. "No, no! I disabled my infinity—"
"Liar," y/n scoffed, knowing the real truth. "I disabled it, not him. His infinity or his power can't hurt me, but I can hurt him." Her daring statement made Gojo gulp because he knew y/n's true power. Nobody can rival her. She is the most powerful sorcerer. People have the same reason to fear y/n as they fear Gojo, but they don't because she's too young.
"Hurry up and give me my money, or else you want your vessel to die by the hands of the higher ups again." y/n stuck out her hand, waiting for Gojo to hand her a big briefcase. Y/n means business and she wants it now. Who else was going to watch over him? No one. Only y/n had the power and ability to do so.
"Yes, yes! You're no fun. You're stiff like Megumi." Gojo pouted and gave her the briefcase she's been hoping for. "Now I gotta go before Yaga kills me… Have fun, Yuji! You'll learn something from y/n!"
Once Gojo left the premises, y/n had her hands on her hips as she intensely stared at him. On the other hand, Yuji felt the pressure from y/n's eyes. It was as if her stare was drilling a whole in his body. She wasn't what Gojo described to him earlier, she was the total opposite. y/n wasn't a small, sweet girl; she was a snarky, tall woman with eyes as fearsome as lions. Yuji also gulped before introducing himself to her, brushing away his fears y/n emitted.
"My name is Itadori Yuji! I'm into girls like Jennifer Lawrence! Nice to meet you and be in your care!" Yuji bowed to y/n.
y/n's eyebrows rose from his statement about girls he was into. She wanted to laugh but it would scare him off. y/n cleared her throat and introduced herself as well. "Ahem!" she stood tall as her back straightened out and her sharp eyes were on Yuji's figure. "I'm f/n l/n! I'm into 2D men who aren't real and I cry myself to sleep because of that reason. Nice to meet you too!" y/n eerily smiled, bowing back to him too.
Yuji was taken back by her cold and thorny demeanor.
She's on another level compared to Fushiguro… Yuji thought to himself, as he entered her house.
To his dismay, the house condition looked terrible as if no one had lived here for over 20 years. Yuji's face scrunched up in disgust, not even hiding it one bit because it was just bad to pretend it wasn't.
"y-y/n… why is your house all dirty and messy? Where's your parents? When was the last time you cleaned?" Yuji moved all over the house like he's the health care inspector. "Why's there so much microwavable food?" He bombarded her with so many questions and she calmly explained to him.
"I've been busy with life and lack self care for myself and the home. My parents are dead and have been dead for 10 years. I don't know how to cook so I buy pre-made food. As long as I get some type of nutrition then I'll be alright!"
Hearing her explanation, Yuji felt scared to live in this dirty house. If he breathes in the unsanitary air, he's going to be sent to the hospital and actually die. He knew he had to do something about y/n's living condition. "Thanks y/n… I'll make sure I'm not a hindrance during my stay here!"
