It's been a few days since Sukuna had sent you on the edge, and you were happy he didn't bother you. "Okay, Yuji. I'll be going now!" You slipped on your sneakers as one of your hands was planted against the wall to support your unbalanced body.

"Alright, y/n! And by the way, I'm going to see Junpei."

Hearing his words, you slowly dropped your foot to the floor after slipping your shoe and gave him a confused look. One of your eyebrows shot up as your lips slightly parted. "Who's Junpei again?" The name sounded very familiar but you couldn't remember.

While Yuji refreshed your memory, you had other thoughts overpowering his statement.

Why on earth does he want to see Junpei? Doesn't he know that his life is in danger? Isn't it best if he stayed at home? Yet then again, he might be sick being here. I do feel a bit bad. He might feel like a prisoner… So if he's careful about his actions then it shouldn't be a problem. He's not a baby. You know it's best if he does get out of the house. It's not good to stay inside for a long time since he's not like you. You're literally a person who loves to live in isolation; however he's the complete opposite of you.

"Just be careful, Yuji. If you sense something suspicious, call me and I'll deal with it." You advise him mainly because he doesn't know how to conceal his residual. He can be easily detected and detained if he's found, and you didn't want that for the sake of you, him, and Gojo's.

Yuji's eyes widened as he gleefully smiled and suddenly gave you a side hug. You jolted in place, stiffening up from his foreign touch as you felt your heart leap. "Thanks, y/n! I feared you'd say no." He cried, laughing it off. His arm squeezed your frame lightly, showing how much he appreciated your kindness.

All you could do was smile awkwardly. "I'm not that cold… Of course I want you to be comfortable even if you're hiding. You deserve your own fair freedom too," then your body began getting hot from your neck and down. Yuji hasn't let you go yet and you were waiting for him to. "Uh, can you let go? I gotta go to school," you reminded and he instinctively moved back, unraveling his arm.

"Sorry y/n." Yuji chuckled, scratching his head. "Have a good day though!"

Your ears were filled with delight, hearing his departing words. It was like music to your ears as it warmed your soul. It laced with your beating heart, reassuring you that there's someone expecting you home with open arms and a tender smile. You knew this feeling won't get old because it reminded you of your family. Yuji's company changed the dynamic of the empty house.

A small curl tugged the corner of your lip while warmth spread throughout your chest. "Thanks, I will! I'll be kicking everyone's butt even though I'm not participating in the goodwill event!"

You waved goodbye and left for school.

You watched your classmates spar with each other as you couldn't help but wonder what Maki was going to do with her family. You knew they're in her way to stop Maki from getting promoted. However, they have a say in it, but you also have the authority to grant her a higher grade. The higher ups have no power over you; you control society not the other way around.

Your teeth grinded against each other as you observed Maki from a far.

Maki is gifted with enhanced abilities and lacks cursed energy. She's an expert in wielding weapons and martial arts. I mean, I can help her achieve power if she lets me consume her low cursed energy… You wanted to help Maki because you knew having low cursed energy wouldn't help her. It's better for her to have zero energy since it'll aid her abilities to be untouchable, and not even powerful sorcerers will be able to stop her. This was a big gamble, but you knew she wasn't going to abuse it since she has a sense of dignity and pride. Maki knows what's right and what's wrong. It won't cause her to stray away from her path.

Pushing yourself off the grass, you called out to her. "Maki, come here!" You gestured with a flick of your wrist. "I have something to ask you,"

Maki was confused about what you wanted but she came anyway. "What's up?" She had a hand on her hip as her body leaned to the side, staring at you.

A cunning smile plastered your face. "Why don't you achieve your full potential with your heavenly restricted body? I can remove your cursed energy to zero and in turn, you can train your body to become unstoppable! You will be invisible to all sorcerers and remarkably strong. Not a bad idea huh?" You tried to act like a saleswoman, mentioning the great perks of her gifted body. The Zenin sees it as a disgrace but it's not actually. They're real assassins because they leave no residuals, and their overpowered abilities are greater than a sorcerer alone. Sorcerers have to train their bodies whereas heavenly restricted bodies can receive it in a flash.

Maki took your words into consideration, but she wasn't sure if it's the right path. All her life she's been fighting for her right and recognition. No matter how hard she trains, she won't reach her full potential because of her family holding her back. "It doesn't sound bad, but are you sure you're able to do that? Aren't you a mediator? I don't want to get you in trouble if you were to do that."

You didn't understand why Maki would be concerned about jeopardizing your position. You saw nothing wrong, especially when society has been corrupted over thousands of years. If someone like Gojo is trying to create a new generation because he doesn't like the higher ups and the world has become too reliant on him then it's definitely a sign. "So? If my ancestor is the mother of jujutsu, I'm pretty sure she helped many newbies become fine sorcerers. She sounds like a loving mom. What do you say? I don't know how else you're supposed to get to zero cursed energy, only I can do that… Unless there's a traumatic way to but that's not good either."

You prefer to keep the balance in the world as is. You really wouldn't know how to handle it if an event tipped the whole scale off the board, and destruction and chaos erupted causing discord. Just thinking about this made you wonder who Kameko really is.

I'm going to have to research about her in the archive for my own sake and safety from Sukuna.

"Your answer?" You cleared your throat, asking Maki again.

Without any hesitation, Maki grinned ear to ear as she accepted your proposal. "I don't see why not. If you can do it and believe in me, there's no harm. I guess we don't have to worry about winning against Kyoto." She chuckled to herself, seeing that this new transformation will give her the upper hand to change the tides.

However on your end, you weren't too sure how to absorb cursed energy. You know you can do it, but you've never done it since there's not an opportunity to either. There might be side effects but you wouldn't know until you tried. "Okay so… this is my first time doing this. I'm not sure what's going to happen but if anything does, I'm pretty sure I'll be fine!" You brushed it off your shoulder like it was dust. You weren't too concerned because what could possibly go wrong?

"Are you sure? I don't want you—" As Maki tried to protest against this, you didn't care and took her hand into yours. You cupped it, immediately concentrating as you felt her cursed energy coursing in her body. It felt like dipping your fingers into a pool of water. Your fingers were getting coaxed in her cursed energy as you were able to deeply submerge your hand into it. This was the portal that no one else could have but you. Once you were able to feel her core of cursed energy, you instantly sucked it out of her body as it all transferred to you. However, you couldn't believe how her cursed energy was attacking your cursed energy like an immune response. In your body, her cursed energy was foreign but instead of killing it off, your energy had to overpower the foreign energy in order to break it down and become one with yours.

You were quite shaken as you stumbled away after taking her low cursed energy. Your body felt weird yet oddly light. It wasn't hurting you but you could feel it clashing. You blinked rapidly to get ahold of yourself and your consciousness from fading away.

"Y/n…?" Maki called but in your ears it sounded so distorted. As you looked at her, your vision began to blur and your head heavily tilted to the side due to feeling light headed. You were clearly losing touch as your eyes were rolling back. "Y/n…! Y/n!"

Maki shouted out one last time before your body lost balance and collapsed, hitting Maki's strong arms as you passed out from absorbing her energy. Maki securely held your unconscious body, and everyone ran over towards her from the big commotion.

"Maki! Y/n!" The four remaining students ran over to them.

"What happened?" Panda asked, noticing how frightened Maki looked. Her face was pale as a ghost. She didn't understand what happened because you were just fine until you took her cursed energy.

"Maki-san… What happened to you? I can't sense any cursed energy from your body." Megumi seriously gulped, unable to process how she lost her cursed energy. It kind of put him on edge. He has never encountered a person who has zero cursed energy, and if they're a capable fighter, he knew he'd have a hard time winning the battle. He knew it's impossible because a person who's born with cursed energy can't mysteriously disappear. It just can't.

Maki carried you bridal style as she made her way to Shoko. She doesn't know what's going on with you, but Maki hopes Shoko does…and if not her, Gojo might have an answer. "Well…" Maki explained what happened, feeling guilty that you passed out. She wanted to know what the main cause of it was, so in the future if you ever do this again, it can be prevented.

"I see… We don't even know her true power, but if she's able to do that then she's clearly a force not to be reckoned with." Panda implied as Inumaki agreed behind.

If y/n can do that, will she be able to bring my sister out of a coma? Megumi thought to himself but decided not to ask you since he thought it was bothersome. He wasn't necessarily close with you so it felt weird and awkward to ask. Yet his heart wanted him to because his sister didn't deserve to be put under a curse. If you're Kameko's offspring, don't you have the power to help others?

"I can't, it's not right." Megumi muttered to himself, trying to shake his thoughts away.

Maki brought you to Shoko, and she quickly examined your unconscious state. You were laying on a bed, sleeping soundlessly. Shoko stepped back from your body and told Maki what she can conclude. "y/n seems just fine actually. She doesn't have a high fever, not sweating, and she's responding to everything just perfectly. Perhaps when she absorbed your energy, her own energy didn't know how to respond to it so it might've put her into a shock causing her to lose consciousness in order for her body to probably fight it off? I'm not too sure but that's a reasonable guess."

Then someone entered Shoko's office and spoke about the situation. "y/n will be fine. You don't have to worry about her. She'll recover fast since she is Kameko's descendant. y/n's no ordinary sorcerer, and you guys know that." Gojo entered the conversation, leaning against the doorframe as he kept his eyes on your sleeping body. "It's a part of her cursed technique."
