Taiga stepped out of the room and looked around to see her mother-in-law sitting at the table while her husband was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for the three. Yasuko looked up and slightly smiled at her daughter-in-law, "Morning Taiga,"
"Good morn…oh," Taiga moaned as she covered her mouth and placed a hand on her stomach.
"Taiga!" Ryuuji ran into the room and stood beside his wife, "Taiga, are you all right?"
Taiga looked up and slightly smiled, "I'm fine, Ryuuji, just a little hungry," Ryuuji frowned as Taiga shook her head, "I'm fine, really,"
Yasuko looked at her son and daughter-in-law before clearing her throat and the two looked at her in confusion, "Ryu, I need you to run to the store and pick up some orange juice,"
"What? Yasuko, Taiga is-"
"Taiga will be fine," Yasuko stood up and walked over to the two, "Just go, I'll keep an eye on Taiga," Ryuuji sighed and shook his head before stepping away from the two.
Yasuko and Taiga watched as Ryuuji walked down the street before Yasuko looked at the petite woman beside her as she inhaled slowly and shook her head, "Taiga," Taiga looked up in confusion, "You and Ryu have been married for almost a year, right?" Taiga slowly nodded, "And…have you two been active at all?"
"Y-yes…but it's always when you're working late an-"
"And when was the last time you got your period?" Taiga felt her face heat up as she looked away.
Feeling Yasuko place a hand on her shoulder, she looked up as her mother-in-law handed her a pregnancy test, "Take it to be sure," Taiga sighed and slowly reached for it before stepping away from Yasuko.
Ryuuji walked through the front door where Taiga took him by the hand and began pulling him away. Ryuuji looked at his mother in confusion as the blonde woman slightly smiled and waved at the two as Taiga continued to drag Ryuuji away.
The two stood in their room and Ryuuji looked at his wife in confusion, "So…what gives, Taiga? Is everything o-" before he could finish, Taiga held up a positive pregnancy test and his eyes widened, "T-Taiga…is…is this…real?"
"It is, Yasuko gave me this and told me to take it after you left," the room feel silent as Taiga turned her back towards Ryuuji, "So…what do you have to say about-" before she could finish, she felt Ryuuji wrap his arms around her and she looked back with a faint smile.
Well…I don't know, and yeah, Ryuuji calls his mother by her name…don't know why…enjoy
