Yuji has been training long hours with Gojo for a few days now and you hated it. You come home after school feeling so lonely. There's no one to talk to beside your plant and that's it. You really missed having his company because it puts your heart at ease while it makes you happy. You never knew how much it would impact you. Thus, you were going to visit Gojo's house to see Yuji.

You felt your chest feeling all tingly and foreign, and you couldn't understand why. Normally, your chest felt calm and undisturbed until now. Every time you think about Yuji, your chest feels like that. "What is wrong with me?" Your hand was on your chest as you tried thinking if it was medical problems. "I think I'm healthy? I hope I don't die just yet."

"What's wrong with you, y/n?" Maki called out, giving you a weird look as her bow staff was over her shoulder. She could tell there was something wrong with you but didn't know what it was. However, she knew you spaced out a lot during their training days. You did nothing but watch them fight with each other.

You didn't want to concern her about your problems since she wouldn't really know either so you brushed it off. "Oh, it was just random chest pain. Do you get that?" You walked over to her where the sun was out and bright. You squinted, looking at Maki. You were never going to be used to the sun.

Maki gave you a confused look as her eyebrow shot up. "You mean like getting stabbed?"

You shook your head in disbelief. "What? No. Are you okay?"

Where in the world did she get that from? She's crazy. You said to yourself, a bit scared of Maki now.

Time passed and it was evening, you stared at the sky wondering when you should drop by Gojo's house. You were contemplating whether you should inform him beforehand; however, you chose not to since Gojo doesn't do it either. He'll get what's coming at him.

You stood in front of Gojo's traditional family home. Instead of knocking like a normal person would, you grabbed a bobby pin from your bag and started to unlock his front door. You weren't scared of getting caught. What was Gojo going to do? Yell at you? No, he's going to laugh about it. He has the nerves to sneak inside your house without you knowing. You don't know how he gets in but he does.

JIGGLE JIGGLE

After wrestling your bobby pin inside the lock, it finally opened and you entered. The front door was really quiet but you didn't expect much anyways. Gojo lived alone so it wouldn't be loud. You know he's a lonely man. He's not seeing anyone, he's not getting an arranged marriage; he's just a loner who loves to hang out with kids who're cooler than him. You honestly believed he needed to get his life together. If you're getting crapped on by the higher ups, he should too by his parents. Perhaps marriage and kids will mature Gojo but you will never know.

Silently, you closed the door behind yourself and tiptoed to where you heard grunts and something heavy falling. Your brain automatically knows it's Yuji training with Gojo. Why else would there be loud noises coming from a room at the end of the hall? Gojo wouldn't be doing anything weird in the house especially when he's training Yuji.

The floorboard behind your feet didn't creak so it didn't alert Gojo or Yuji, but you know Gojo's six eyes might see your cursed energy like a thermal imaging camera from miles away. Yet he wasn't coming out from the training room. It must mean he doesn't care since it's you.

Creeping closer to the ajar door, you saw Yuji and Gojo's figures moving around. You could tell Gojo wasn't going easy on him because he kept grappling or using his infinity against Yuji. Nonetheless, it didn't stop Yuji from trying even harder to defeat Gojo. You could see his determination flowing through his eyes as he was in the zone. Yuji went as far as analyzing Gojo's movements and preventing another slip up.

A smile curled on your lips, amazed how quickly Yuji is able to adjust to his environment. "At least he's not slow." You murmured, watching Yuji's strategy. It made a memory resurface to the front of your head.

[flashback

THUDDD!

Gojo body slammed you on the tatami flooring. Breathing out sharply and painfully from the sudden blow, you were gasping for air as it was hard to breathe. You felt your heart accelerating even after hitting the ground while your eyes bulged. It's hard for you to calm down because you would have broken your back, or even been knocked unconscious if Gojo had put any cursed energy into his dangerous and careless move.

Laying flat on the tatami mat, you stared up at the ceiling, unable to move due to the pain circulating in your muscles. You were paralyzed on the spot. You needed to rest for a hot minute.

Then Gojo popped his face in your view, hovering above you as there was a concerned look on his face. His black sunglasses slipped to the tip of his nose, revealing his shitty eyes and asked the dumbest question on the goddamn earth. "Y/n, are you okay?"

You glared at Gojo. His question made you mad as hell. As your brows knitted, you hit his ankle. There was no power in your hit but you could care less. "Do… I look…okay?" You heavily breathed out, still sprawled on the ground. "You were so close to breaking my back." You spat, painfully sitting yourself up as you exhaled loudly.

"Y/n! You know I didn't mean to!" Gojo dropped to a squat, staring at you with puppy eyes. His glimmering blue eyes were trying to sway your tight heart to unravel by his charm and forgive him so easily. This only made you more mad.

Rolling your eyes, you rolled on your knees and stood up with a limp. Your muscles didn't feel too good, but being in the same room as Gojo didn't either. "Shut up, old man."

"Old man? I'm not old! I'm 24,"

"Yeah and I'm 12. You almost killed me. I guess someone isn't afraid to serve years behind bar."]

"Damn what a prick Satoru was back then… He still hasn't changed." You shook your head in disappointment. Time will never change him, nothing will. By the time he's 60, he's still going to have a lot of energy like a toddler.

"Ahem," you entered the room, announcing your arrival. "I have some business with you, Satoru."

You didn't want to straight up tell them that you're here because of Yuji. It seemed too weird since you guys weren't particularly close like best friends but acquaintances. Also, it won't help your case due to Gojo's presence in the room. He'll only twist up your words to spite you, and you would rather avoid it.

The two boys dropped what they were doing and stared at you. Yuji was surprised and happy to see you, whereas your appearance piqued Gojo's curiosity.

"Hi, y/n!" Yuji cheerfully said, energetically waving at you as his cheeks were tugged, revealing his paper white teeth.

"Hi, Yuji." You felt your heart sped up from his approachable and bubbly nature. He resembled a cute dog wagging its tail.

Gosh, why does he have to be so adorable? you mentally chuckled to yourself before realizing what you said. Wait what? What did I say? Did I call him adorable? What's so adorable about a teen boy?

You couldn't fathom why your heart and mind weren't aligning.

Then Gojo snapped you back to earth. "Wow, y/n really came here for me? I'm surprised. She never seeks me unless otherwise. I'm honored—"

You didn't want to hear Gojo blabber nonsense since he does that to prolong any conversation you have with him. "I went to see the higher ups." You severely announced in irritation and disappointment. Your stern eyes were locked with Gojo's as his whole posture stiffened up. A solemn expression took over his upbeat face. Anything regarding the higher ups Gojo didn't like. They were a pain in everyone's asses yet they couldn't do anything since they 'rule' the jujutsu society since you're too young to regulate it.

"Um… Should I step out or…?" Yuji interrupted the brewing conversation. He felt like it's not related to him so hearing it felt disrespectful to you and your privacy.

"No, it's fine. What's wrong talking shit about the higher ups when they're looking down on me? They treat me like a child!" You explained to them what they said about your high position in the jujutsu society. Recapping the event only angered you. You remembered their tone of voice making you feel chagrined. You really want to choke them with your hands.

"Y/n, why didn't you tell me? You know—"

You cut off Gojo with a severe expression. "You can't always protect me! There will be a day where I'm going to have to face the higher ups or straight out anyone. I can't help but say they're right!" Your lips quivered, slowly turning into a frown. There's so many expectations placed upon you and yet you aren't able to fulfill it because there's restrictions.

"Arghhh!" Your hands bunched in your hair. "Just kill me now!" You exasperated.

Suddenly, Yuji popped himself in your frustrated bubble. "Y/n, don't say that. Do you need a hug?" He innocently asked, confusing you and Gojo as you both froze in your spot.

Gojo's curious eyes stared from Yuji and back to you. He wondered what goes on in your house. It's odd for him to hear Yuji say that to you unless… something did happen and he wasn't informed about it. Gojo felt his heart squeezed as he stopped breathing from his nostrils. An idea rammed into his head and he didn't know if it's true but he'll ask. "Oh my gosh!" He stepped back from you guys and pointed his finger in your direction.

"What?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you guys dating?!" His answer stunned you two. Yuji had the surprise pikachu face whereas you looked revolted. "Because y/n would never accept hugs…" Gojo was giving Yuji a rundown about you, explaining how you're the type of person who avoids affection.

"I mean," Yuji scratched his head. "We pretended to date so boys would back away from her but it was short lived. We also did hold hands for the act too. Y/n seems to be okay whenever I do it."

Gojo's brows shot up from this news. "Oh really?" He cranked his head to you and blinked rapidly, in tremendous shock by the fact he's hearing a new side of you.

"Satoru, shut up." You immediately shut him down. You didn't want to hear any of it because he's going to blow your head off from your body.

"Y/n, do you need a hug?" Yuji asked again, shifting his attention to you.

"Yeah y/n, do you?" Gojo added, putting all the attention to you.

You gritted your teeth as you narrowed your eyes at them. "No. I don't need it," you stiffly spoke like a robot. You don't need a hug; you'll calm down without one.

"She wants a hug," Gojo snickered as if he saw through you.

Then Yuji smiled at Gojo, knowing what to do to make you feel all better. His proud grin radiated his warm nature. "Of course she does! Who wouldn't?!"

They both tackled you with bear hugs, hugging you tightly to where you couldn't move. On your left side was Yuji—pushing himself on to you, and on your right side was Gojo leaning against you like you were a ledge. Their monstrous grip locked you in place until they felt like you were all better. You couldn't believe they hugged you without your consent. What thoughtless people they were. Yet you weren't going to lie, your heart twitched from their kind gestures. It felt nice to lay in someone's arms when you're mad. It makes you feel like there's someone to fall back on when time gets rough.

Your frown curled upwards and relaxed. Your body settled from their touch, and you breathed out a sigh of tranquility. Your anger disappeared from your heart and soul; you're completely better now. The higher ups were gone as their comfort snuggled you.

A few minutes passed and they were still holding you tight.

Why aren't they letting me go?! This is such a long hug!

Your limb started to go numb and it got hot. Their body heat was melting you. You wished you could hit them but your arms were tucked at your side so you couldn't.

"Guys…!" You squeaked, feeling the air leaving your lungs. You hate feeling sandwiched. Sometimes you feel iffy about the closeness of others because of personal space, but this was beyond personal space—they were in your space. "Let go of me!"

"Yuji, did you hear a bee?"

A huge tick mark grew on your forehead. How dare Gojo say that about you? You're so close to socking him if you had the given chance to.

"Nope," Yuji played along, unaware of your menacing aura growing out from you.

"I swear to god… I'll make sure your cursed energy doesn't flow out from you guys again!" You threatened because you can make it happen. You're Kameko's descendant. You're powerful enough to stop their flow of energy from coming out.

That's when they both backed off.

Not that long after, Gojo approached you and dropped a bomb over your head. "Y/n it's your lucky day!"

You tilted your head in confusion because you didn't know what the hell Gojo was going to pull off.

"Yuji is going to be staying with me! Aren't you glad?! I know it's a lot of work taking care of him…"

As Gojo blabbered about how he dropped his responsibilities on you, you felt a tight squeeze in your heart. It was a sharp pain jabbing in all directions. The twinging sensation made you sad. The ripple effect traveled throughout your body as your mind registered the emotion.

Am… Am I sad? My chest hurts. I think I am right? It's because I grew an attachment with Yuji and having him gone is going to be lonely. That's the reason why I came out because I didn't want to be alone at home. But now I'm going to have to since he'll be living and training with Satoru for a while.

You were definitely bummed, but you couldn't do anything about it and just accept it. Gojo was trying to elevate your stress because he caused it. It should be okay right? You shouldn't feel sad over this yet you are. This is what you wanted from the beginning—not wanting any attachments in the jujutsu society, and now it has backfired.

"Sorry I didn't mean to stress you out. I made you delve too deep into this dipshit society you didn't want to get into." Gojo apologized.

Your lips thinned as you didn't know what to really feel and say to him. Covering up your muddy emotion, you said whatever came to your mind first. "It's fine, Satoru. Do whatever you feel is right for Yuji. I don't know what he learned from me though." You dryly chuckled. You know you weren't really a positive influence rather a pessimistic force.

"Will you be okay without me?"

Turning your head around, you saw Yuji staring at you with concern filling his eyes. He knew how much you relied on him. He didn't want you to be alone either. After all, he promised to be by your side.

"I'll be fine, Yuji." You plastered on a reassuring smile. "Your life doesn't revolve around me, and it never has either. I'll be with my grandma for a bit so don't worry about me getting lonely."

Yuji trusted your words even though he thought about you. He doesn't want to leave you yet he has to train everyday to get better. "Okay y/n. Just don't forget to reach out to me!"
