Blackpanthaa: Yeah, sorry, it was a slow weekend where I live, and this nationwide quarantine isn't helping, but it's necessary.
Sharquan: All tsunderes need head pats.
Clyde McBride: Okay.
StrightUpHippo; …maybe? I don't know. Slow weekend.
ThotKesha: …
Anyway, here's something…AU…enjoy.
Students and their teacher pressed themselves against the wall as several undead moaned as they hit the closed, locked door. Looking around, the adult panted before she looked back at the stunned faces of their students and they frowned before the sound of screaming and gunfire filled the air outside of the classroom. Looking up, they saw the undead fall to the floor before five figures stepped in front of the glass and a loud knock came at the door, "It's safe, you idiots! They're dead!" the teacher stepped closer to the door and slowly opened it to see five young adults, three young women and two young men, each brandishing a weapon, standing on the other side of the door, dead bodies resting at their feet, "You're supposed to be a teacher and yet you've made the decision to put your students in danger. You never lock yourself in a room like this during an epidemic like this," the blue-haired young man narrowed his eyes.
"I…I…Aisaka, Kushieda, Kawashima, Kitamura, Takasu?"
"That's what they call us, yes," Taiga narrowed her eyes as she rested her bokken on her right shoulder, "Honestly, locking yourselves in a room like that with a horde close behind you? You might as well yell at the top of your lungs in the middle of the street. These bastards are persisted and won't give up just because you locked yourself away."
"How…but…but we all thought you five were killed, they saw a horde follow you kids into the woods an-"
"Is that what they told you?" Minori crossed her arms, "And who are they? Because that's not the whole truth," the teacher stared at the usual cheery athlete in disbelief, "That's not what happened,"
Ami inhaled slowly and shook her head, "It's something we don't like talking about. If it weren't for the fact that we saw you idiots run into the school with a horde following close behind, we might have never bothered coming here,"
"Hold on, we all thought you died and we'd like some answers right now before-"
"Later," Yusaku turned and began walking away, "Right now we need to get the hell out of here before more of them show up," the teacher watched as the five young adults walked down the hall, over the piles of dead bodies before the others began following.
The teacher and the group of five young adults sat around a snapping fire while the larger group sat several feet away from them. The teacher looked at her former students and frowned, "Now…what happened to you five? Kashii, Karuta and Tomiie all said they saw a horde chasing after you into the woods."
"That's what they told you?" Ryuuji sighed and shook his head before he leaned forwards, resting his elbows on his lap, "Yeah, we were chased into the woods by a horde during the initial outbreak while we were searching for supplies with those boneheads and they got the brilliant idea to bang pots and pans and make as much noise a possible to attract the horde. We told them to shut the hell up, but it was too late. Those undead bastards were coming after us."
The teacher stared with wide eyes as Taiga sighed and leaned up against Ryuuji, "We looked at Kashii, Karuta and Tomiie and they laughed at us before running into a building and locked the door behind them,"
"It was then that we realized that they betrayed us and wanted us to die," Minori hissed through her teeth a she gripped the handle of the bat, "We ran toward the woods, hoping to lose them in the brush and we found some onetime weapons to use to try and defend ourselves."
The teacher frowned as she hung her head, "As you can see, it worked and we're still alive and we're not going to die any time soon," Ami crossed her arms and stared at the fire, "Like I said, if we didn't see you and the others running into the school and that horde following you, we'd never knew you were in there and you'd all probably be dead,"
"Well…we're all grateful you saved us and that you five are still alive, and don't you worry, I'll give Kashii, Karuta and Tomiie a stern lecture about all of this an-"
"Don't bother," Yusaku stood up and stretched, "We're not going to be around long enough for that to happen. Once everyone goes to sleep tonight, the five of us are leaving. We can't be around people who left us for dead like that,"
"What? No, we were all worried about you five an-"
"And you heard Yusaku," Minori stood up and shook her head, "We can't be around people who left us to die like that. They'll either try it again, which will only end with them dying, or we're just going to kill them for the hell they've put us through. So, in order to save your precious students, it's best if we leave when everyone falls asleep,"
The teacher frowned and hung her head, "You're a kind person, Ms. Koigakubo," the woman looked at Ryuuji as he, Taiga and Ami stood beside their friends, "Even during these times of trouble, you care for your students and want what's best for them, but we just can't be here with the others right now," the teacher frowned and slowly nodded, "We'll be fine. We have supplies and our trusted weapons and each other. We've been doing just fine without anyone else these past few weeks and we'll being doing just fine when we leave,"
"Of course…just please be careful while you're out there. Whether you five like it or not, you're still my students and I'm still responsible for you," the five hummed and nodded before they turned and walked away from the fire and their former teacher and she looked back at her students and narrowed her eyes.
Turning into an arc…enjoy.
