Well I enjoyed my break and the next one will either the week of the eighth or the fifteenth, depending on how I feel. So…that being said, please enjoy this update to on the run.
Taiga and Ryuuji stood by the car as they waited for their mothers to return. The petite young woman groaned as she crossed her arms and leaned up against the car, "This sucks…where the hell are my mom and Yasuko? We need to get going before raiders decide to show up," Taiga looked up at the tall, young man and slightly frowned, "Hey Ryuuji, did my mom give you the keys?"
"Uh…yeah…why, is everything okay?"
"Yeah, but I'm getting annoyed waiting out here, so I'm going to sit in the car for a while," Ryuuji nodded before unlocking the car and Taiga opened the passenger door and climbed into the vehicle before closing the door behind her.
Ryuuji sighed as he crossed his arms and leaned up against the car before Taiga opened the door again, "Ryuuji!" Ryuuji hummed and looked down in confusion as Taiga held up a letter.
Taking the letter, Ryuuji looked at it and read it in confusion, "Kids, we're sorry for doing this, but we believe that you two will have a better chance on surviving if we went our separate ways and that's why we decided to leave you two the car. Please look after each other and know we're only doing this to keep you out of trouble. Hopefully we'll see you two again one day,"
The air between the two grew still before Taiga growled under her breath and narrowed her eyes, "Things sure went to hell since my dad's company created a 'cure for cancer' and it only ended up destroying people…damn,"
"Right…we better get going," Taiga looked up in confusion as Ryuuji walked over to the driver side, "If we wait here any longer, raiders would come and we'd be killed, so we might as well leave,"
"Right," Taiga frowned before she climbed back into the car and closed the door as Ryuuji climbed into the driver's side and closed the door before putting the key in the ignition, "Ryuuji, where are we going?"
"I don't know, Taiga, but your mom and Yasuko said we're going to be on our own, so…we'll just keep driving and hope we can find some safe haven," Taiga frowned and slowly nodded as the car pulled away from the curb.
