It's been days since Sukuna threw his estate into hell. None of his servants could find you. They either turned up dead or they were killed by Sukuna himself. He had no patience for anyone else. Time was ticking as he solely believed you're alive. Nothing could convince him otherwise. Everyone in the estate was scared to disobey because they valued their lives over anything else. So they walked on eggshells just to please Sukuna.
"Oh Kameko, we were so close to reigning hell to this world! How could I lose you like this?!" Sukuna was very distraught and on edge, he couldn't calm down. He refused to attend meetings because you were on his mind 24/7. Sukuna locked himself in his room, rejecting visitors from left to right. How could his pet leave his master and never come back? He wondered so many questions as it was killing him.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"Who dares to knock when I already said for everyone to leave me alone!" Sukuna roared, directing all his anger towards the person behind the door. He couldn't believe someone would disobey him. That person had a lot of nerves to test him despite the bloodshed and installed fear in the estate.
Then the door boldly slid open and at the same time, this infuriated Sukuna so much so he threw an expensive vase at the person.
CRASH!
The vase broke into smithereens right behind Kenjaku with a surprised expression. "What a great way to greet someone!" He laughed, waltzing inside Sukuna's room.
"What do you want?" Sukuna grumbled, realizing it's none other than Kenjaku who wanted to disturb him. "I don't have any patience for anyone else so go away!" He turned away like a child who was throwing a tantrum and didn't want to be bothered.
"I just wanted to say I believe y/n is alive, lord Sukuna. There's no way she would've died in the fire. I know she's out there in her rebellious stage because you didn't give her freedom." Kenjaku said in a soothing tone, alleviating his worries and siding with him to make it seem like Sukuna's theory was correct and everyone around him was wrong. However, in reality, Kenjaku knew you were alive. You're going into all of his colonies and taking it down as you're ruthlessly killing his players and cutting the game short. His plan was being foiled by you, but he didn't want Sukuna to know or else the demon himself would have the game ended too. Kenjaku can't have Sukuna be involved in his matters.
"Watch your mouth, damn sorcerer!" Sukuna growled as Kenjaku overstepped the line. "I can kill you any second. Beware how you speak to me!"
Kenjaku gulped, trying to calm down his irritation. He doesn't want Sukuna to kill him since he has more devious ideas in his sleeve. "Very well. I just wanted to check up on my dear friend." He wanted Sukuna to believe he had good intentions to do a home visit for an ill friend. "But remember that a pet always runs back to their owner. Whatever you do can lead y/n back to you."
"Get out!"
Later that day, Sukuna ordered his men to find Yuji. He's no longer going to wait for your return if he knew Yuji was your weakness. "Killing that brat will have her running back…! Not only it'll mortify her, but it'll grant me more strength as I have half of my power and the other half is in that kid."
There's no way you're coming back to his estate without reason. But as long as Yuji is still alive and captured, you're in the palm of his hand. He will hold power over you whether you like it or not. You were his and nobody's else.
"Oh Master… What am I supposed to do with your offspring? If only she was more like you than wild and defiant." Sukuna began hallucinating Kameko as her ghostly figure stood in front of him. Nevertheless, his version of Kameko was more distorted than the original one.
"Oh, my Sukuna… You were too easy on the girl." This Kameko acted like a snake to tell lies and alter his false perception of you and his master. This hallucination was his own consciousness trying to comprehend your actions to Kameko from the past. Knowing you're not his Kameko, he forced the idea that you were and he'll slowly mold you into her—the ideal master Kameko was supposed to be if she switched sides. "You should've cut off her legs," False Kameko purred into his ear, draping herself on his back as her face was laying on his broad shoulder. "I didn't think my student would be this incompetent. You should've shown her that she's your pet through fear. How else are you supposed to break down a person?" False Kameko chuckled sinisterly, boosting Sukuna's ruthless behavior and his desire to amputate you even more. It skyrocketed to the point where he's going to do that. He will show you his bad side because you made the wrong move. You're going to stay by his side one way or another
"HAHAHAHA! You're right! I will do that… I've been too nice to the girl. Little lamb, your fate is about to get ugly…"
/
Within those few days, you destroyed many colonies and killed Sukuna's followers and players who were deemed to have a black heart. You read their hearts and actions like an open book, determining whether they live or not but the majority of them did die. Also you sensed if they were ancient sorcerers due to their jujutsu being a tad bit different from modern jujutsu. You didn't know how Kenjaku did this but it blew your mind. In the game, you weren't considered a player and you didn't know why. You could assume it's because your existence is an error in the system, that's why you weren't given the same help as the participants.
Nevertheless, you only had colony 1 and 2 left, so your next stop was colony 2.
When you reached the 2nd colony, you were bludgeoning a player who took many lives in order to meet Sukuna. You manically laughed at the sorcerer because his dream was foolish. "Sukuna doesn't allow random sorcerers to be in his presence. If he doesn't acknowledge you before your killings then you're pathetic! How does it feel to die?! Because of people like you, I've had to live in misery and pain! How many more people have to die because of me?! I hope your victims torture you in hell!" Your arm had a mind of its own as it kept swinging a wooden plank on his bleeding head.
Blood spattered all over your clothes and face, but your adrenaline compelled you to release your anger until you were back to normal. The rich fabric was already dyed red because of your killings, and you reeked like a murderer. Seeing their fear delighted you as there's no god or redemption to save them from your brutal attacks, and the way their eyes dilated in terror like they're eye-to-eye with bear that's going to mutilate their body. You loved it all as you're in control of your life and theirs.
Breathing heavily from your mouth, you pushed yourself off from him and glared at him with your dark cruel eyes. Your shoulders were in sync with your laborious breathing as you still had the energy to beat this sorcerer into a pulp. Despite not being able to rest for the whole journey, you knew stopping this cullen game was your task, and it'll also force Kenjaku to see you. You knew it's on his radar because the colonies were falling fast at a quick rate.
Finishing off Kenjaku first will be easier than dealing with Sukuna… I can sustain a few more days of killing. My body hasn't failed me yet. It's getting stronger than ever because I have outside sources fueling my energy. You said to yourself, tossing the wooden plank aside as it's splintered and thin.
"Any last word before I kill you?" You created a spear in your hand as the sharp blade like a butcher's knife pressed against his forehead, breaking skin and leaking blood down to his temples. The sorcerer had no cursed energy left inside his body because you extracted it like a witch feeding off from a person's soul as it screamed for help and didn't want to be extinguished.
The sorcerer laughed, amused from this battle. His eyes told you a story that he absolutely loved the fight he had with you. He drew more pleasure from this than anything else during his time in the colony and it disgusted you, wrenching your heart from contempt. A shitty grin appeared on his cocky face as he showed no regret. "It was a pleasure fighting with Kameko's descendant… I wish I got to fight her back in the day but I never got the chance to." He bitterly cried. "However, now I see why Sukuna is so infatuated by you. Your charm and desire to destroy humanity is very enthralling. You do have the power to move others by your wicked actions," He tittered to get underneath your thick skin which blocked him out because you're used to it. His words wouldn't be able to penetrate your heart so easily unless he was someone special but he's not.
You rolled your eyes from his final words. You wished you didn't ask him because it was meaningless. Lodging your spear into his skull with little force, you watched his eyes turn dull and his body limp like you shutting down a robot from activating but this one was permanent.
"He was a feisty one…" You recalled your long battle with him. He kept evading your moves to tire you out and threw out taunts to rattle you up. You were going to be brain dead if his mouth kept opening. "Thank goodness he's dead."
CLICK CLACK CLICK CLACK
You swore you killed off everyone in the colony because nobody strayed away from attacking you. They loved to overwhelm newcomers and eliminate them from the get-go, so when they discovered a new 'player' they launched at you regardless if they knew who you were or not.
"Who did I forget this time—!" You stopped mid-sentence when you turned around and spotted another familiar face as your eyes widened. You never thought you'd see his face again.
"Panda?!" You said in disbelief, backing away from him and the guy next to him. You weren't sure if you're going crazy or if it's actually Panda.
"Y/n?!" Panda uttered in shock. He didn't know how to react seeing your new appearance. You looked so different; he saw how broken, unhinged, and bloody you were. You're not the person he remembered meeting on the training grounds. Whatever happened to you completely changed your outlook. Yet, he's glad that you're alive and escaped Sukuna. Nobody knew your status or where you were located.
"That's your powerful y/n!?" the other man beside Panda exclaimed in flummoxed. From the description he was told that what he's looking at was two different people. Now he's unsure if the first years played a trick on him. "She doesn't look like what I imagined…"
"Well, the higher ups did everything." Panda commented and the man Hakari nodded as he totally understood your position. He had a brawl with the higher ups too, but he wasn't able to kill them unlike you. Hakari respected you for killing them since everyone knew their place and how far they could overstep their boundaries with the higher ups.
Even in a psychotic state, you were able to maintain your calm composure at a good distance. "Ahaha, it is I, y/n! It's so good to see you! Please stay far from me as I smell and look dirty to touch." You stared at your red hands, laughing from how deranged you felt. You no longer recognize yourself. You've changed whether it's for the best or for the worst, but you don't regret any of your actions because no changes would come.
While chatting with them, you used your power to break the barrier of the 2nd colony. Afterall, you did kill all the players in this colony besides Panda and Hakari.
Your hand was on the ground severing the curse until it uplifted and disappeared. It didn't require much energy since you're removing it rather than absorbing. "Who're you?" Your eyes gestured to the person beside Panda as you didn't know him, and it didn't concern you that much because he's with Panda which meant he's on their side.
"I'm Hakari, a third year student at jujutsu tech and is on suspension." Hakari formally introduced himself to you, and you remembered hearing his name from Kirara.
After taking down the barrier, you stayed far from them since you had another colony to eliminate before Kenjaku appeared. You could feel it roaming in your blood that he's going to seek you out. It must tick him off that you're tampering with his toys. "Ah, yeah… I heard of you from your friend Kirara. I bumped into them before entering a colony and they told me everything to keep me up to date." You chuckled, recalling your interaction with them until you felt remorseful of the terrible events they've gone through. A small frown plastered your lips and your eyes wavered in regret. "I'm sorry I wasn't there to prevent the disasters and chaos. We lost many good people because they locked me and Satoru up, but I can promise you that this world will change in your hands."
"What?" Panda didn't understand your last sentence. "What do you mean—"
"Go protect Master Tengen since he's the last standing pillar. He's going to need your protection because our enemies want to take him out. I'm heading to the 1st colony." Before leaving, Panda stopped you with questions filling his head.
"Wait! Did you see Maki and Yuta?"
"No. They were involved?"
"Yes,"
Searching through your memories, you don't remember seeing them there. You would know because why wouldn't they approach a person who's slaughtering everyone from left to right? You never sensed their presence either so you never encountered them at any of the colonies.
"Well, I wouldn't be that worried since they're strong sorcerers, Panda. I doubt they'll let others kill them first. Other than that, I'm leaving. I'll see you later in the new world!"
Then Panda said something that resonated with you. "Itadori and Fushiguro are in colony 1! You will see them!" His message gave you a sense of relief as you're happy to know you're going to run into them. You're not sure how you're going to respond, but you hope you don't break down in front of Yuji the most. He's been by your side since day one.
/
Entering colony 1, you did your business and killed many sorcerers in your way, not letting anyone live because their hearts were not needed in this world whether they were forced to kill or be killed. You repeated the cycle of murdering them, having their blood splash everywhere and their screams ecohed in your ears.
"Fuck…" Now you felt sluggish and sloppy in your slaying. You couldn't believe how your body wanted to shut down after taking down many sorcerers and colonies in a few days. "I need to keep on pushing!" You begged your body to give in a few more hours because you haven't met Yuji or Megumi. You also wanted to believe that they're alive somewhere because they're always getting better at fighting. However, this colony was bigger than the other ones so there's more areas you needed to cover until you could find them.
Taking one more step away from the gruesome scene behind you, your tingling legs couldn't hold up your heavy and overworked muscles anymore so you collapsed face first.
THUMP!
Your face laid flat on the ground, tiredly gazing at what's in front of you.
I'm so tired… I haven't gotten proper rest or eaten well. I want to see Yuji and Megumi. I miss them and I want to know how they are. Come on body! Just hold out for a few more hours until I take more lives, meet Kenjaku and the boys! I know you want to give up on me because I've reached my limit, but I have to end all of this for everyone! I can't have my enemies take more from me!
Letting out small grunts as you struggled to push yourself up, your arms twitched until you finally sat up with a big fat sigh. It felt like you were doing bench press at the gym due to your arms wanting to give up on you when you couldn't push up the hefty bar, however, you persisted and made it.
You were back on your feet again, staggering to your next opponent. Nothing was going to stop you from continuing your duty. Your movements felt bulky and enervated as your muscle ached but you wanted to keep on going. Just a little more killing and taking down this last colony then everything will be alright for now. This will be one step closer to destroying this world. "This heavy body means nothing if I can't take down this place! Then once it's all over, I can run away."
A few hours passed and you fell on your knees as you desperately gasped for air. You were beyond exhausted. I think I killed everyone. They all came charging after me so I most likely did… Damn my lungs burn and my mouth tastes like blood. I smell disgusting. I need a shower so bad. My hair is oily and crusty from dried blood, sweat, and dirt; my skin is rough and icky, and my teeth feel gross for not brushing them for days! This is the worst state I've ever been in! You cried to yourself but remembered that you can clean yourself after this.
You still haven't encountered Yuji or Megumi which was very odd since Panda said they're in this colony. You knew in your heart they're not dead. They couldn't disappoint you and Gojo in their graves. "I… Need to… Get up…" Since Kenjaku didn't arrive at the scene, you wanted to find them before he did. You wanted the boys sent back to Master Tengen's altar so you could face off one out of the two enemies you harbored ill feelings towards.
Although you told yourself to get up, your body refused to obey. It was tiring and draining so you gave up. Your body knew better than your brain. It's telling you that it can't be pushed anymore. It's been at its peak for a while now, and to save yourself from causing harm to your own body, it had to shut down. "Fine, I'll lay down!" You plopped on the ground, feeling your eyes immediately get heavy. "But I can't sleep… That's dangerous," Despite saying that, you closed your eyes because you couldn't keep it open whatsoever. Your willpower wasn't there to stop you. Then you slowly drifted to sleep.
Meanwhile from the outside, the person you've been yearning for, Yuji Itadori, spotted a motionless body covered in blood that was in the direction he's going.
"Who is that?" Yuji wasn't afraid to get close. Nothing scared him. He was still strong though Sukuna was gone. Yuji felt a gravitational pull towards the body. His instinct was telling him that the figure was important and familiar to him while it tightened his guts. He doesn't know why but the force felt too strong to look away.
As Yuji drew closer, his vision saw a young girl, whose face was covered by her hair, wearing a fancy kimono he's never seen before, but it was soaked in blood and he didn't know if she bled to death or not. The thought of her being on her deathbed, struck fear in his heart as he sprinted towards the girl.
"Hey! Are you okay?!" He yelled. Yuji needed to know if the person was able to respond or not.
However, he didn't receive an answer.
When Yuji got to the girl, he analyzed her body and she reeked badly. The stench of blood was potent like he walked inside a slaughter house with no windows, viewing hanging bodies from the ceiling. His vomit reflex urged Yuji to puke because his nose couldn't bear the awful smell, but he didn't want to step away from the girl.
Coughing violently, Yuji's eyes watered as he turned his head to the side to breathe in fresh air. "Hey are you alive?!" The moment he flipped the girl on her back, Yuji let out a small gasp as his eyes teared up and his voice turned frail in confusion and forlorn when he recognized the girl's face. "Y/N!" Yuji cradled your face in his arms as his emotions went haywire. Tears dropped on your face, cleaning the stains marked on your face when it rolled down your cheek. "PLEASE, DON'T DIE, Y/N! I FINALLY HAVE YOU IN MY ARMS AFTER ALL THESE MONTHS!" His voice cracked while his hands frantically searched your wounds and your pulse. He didn't know how to calm down. Yuji yearned to see you and when he finally got the chance to, you're in a horrible state and it tore him into pieces. He didn't want to depart from you like this. He wanted at least a smile before you left the world, not when you're in his arms unresponsive.
Your pulse was very faint, and Yuji shouted your name over and over, dropping tears on your face and holding you against his chest. The smell of blood didn't bother him when he knew it was you now. Your presence can overpower anything because he cares and likes you so much. If you leave, a part of him will be lost since he grew so close and attached to you. Yuji wanted to express how much he missed you, how everyone's going to change the world and make sure you're accepted and loved, and how this new life will be great now that the higher ups are dead.
"...mmm," you groaned and your face twitched from someone's muffled screams waking you up from your short slumber.
Immediately, Yuji froze up when he felt you moving and making noises. His eyes widened and he shut up as he believed you're waking up and you're not dying. He stared down at you with doleful eyes, hoping and begging for you to open your eyes, and you did just that.
Opening your tired eyes, your vision blurred, seeing a figure with pink hair in your view. Your brain didn't register who it could be, but you knew you were being held. You kept blinking until you could see clearly, and the moment you recognized the person who lingered in your heart for so long, your eyes glistened in relief like a little girl wishing upon a shooting star for her wish to come true and it has. This wasn't a mind trick but reality. As much as you relished in this great reunion and wanted to hug him tightly like you two were the only human beings on this dystopian planet, you knew you couldn't because of Sukuna. That monster stood in your way of being happy. He's going to kill and eat Yuji to regain his power; he will strip the only person dear to your heart away. You don't want to lose Yuji. You can't afford to see him die in front of your eyes. You would rather see him survive even if he's not thrilled with your actions. You needed to save him when you couldn't save your parents and grandma. This was your only hope of redemption.
Instantly, you greeted him in a icy and monotone voice, sounding very detached as if Yuji meant nothing to you. Even your eyes had a different look to it too; they were callous and bleak, losing the luster that was there a few seconds ago. "Oh… It's Yuji,"
This shattered Yuji's heart as it paralyzed him. Why's she so cold? The way she said my name sounded like a person who despised me and wanted nothing to do with me! What happened to her? Does she not care about me like I do for her? What did Sukuna do to y/n?!
Although Yuji's glad you're alive, he's more heartbroken to encounter your aloof nature. He's afraid to know what happened to his y/n he knew and cared for. He felt at fault for not being able to save you from the darkness consuming you and snatching you out from Sukuna's grasp. He was just speechless and couldn't utter a word.
Seeing his reaction pained you, creating a hole in your heart where Yuji resided. You turned like this to protect him from getting close to you. His safety was your number one priority. "It's nice seeing you. Go find Megumi and go to Master Tengen's altar where the others are at. I need to go now." Before you could even get out of his arms, he refused to let you go. You felt him trembling as it vibrated your body, and you looked up to see his face breaking apart as he's on the verge of tears. It tugged your heart to be cruel because you do want to have a peaceful moment with him but you can't.
Why is he shaking so much? I'm only telling the truth to keep him out of Sukuna's sight. He can't be hurt when he's in danger. You sounded very ignorant yet you tell yourself it's for his own good.
"N-No…! I finally found you and you're telling me to leave, y/n. I'm not leaving! I don't care if your attitude changed but my love for you didn't!" Yuji searched high and low for you, and he wanted this moment of finding you to be the best and most rewarding moment ever because you're safe, but it's the total opposite from what he thought.
You locked eyes with him, viewing his perseverance peeking through. He still stood up high and mighty in spite of your coldness. You knew throwing mean words wouldn't do anything, so you'll speak the truth of the new you and he can judge if he wants to stay. "Find someone else to love and care for deeply. You don't deserve me and for what I've done"
From his pent up emotions, Yuji broke into tears, shouting his heart out because he's just so confused and lost for words. He pushed you down on the ground as he trapped you with his hands beside your head and straddled you. "NO, Y/N, DON'T YOU SAY THAT!"
"I've killed so many people from the higher ups to the traitors of the clans and the players from the colonies. Am I not disgusting? I'm a killer. I'm covered in my victims' blood, and it's been tattooed on my skin for days now. Doesn't it scare you? I'm not the person you used to know, Yuji. This turn of event changed me drastically and you can't expect me to revert back to my old self." You calmly spoke because raising your voice won't do anything.
"THAT'S BECAUSE THEY'RE THE ONES WHO HURT YOU. THEY TURNED YOU INTO THIS! IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT! MASTER TENGEN TOLD US EVERYTHING." Yuji tried so hard to shift the narrative to make you look like the innocent person in this mess and killing was the only option to survive. Although it's partially true that you're innocent, you didn't have to use violence to solve this issue. It could've been solved differently yet you chose not to. You followed the rage consuming your heart instead.
Acknowledging his feelings for you, you asked him a question regarding it. "Yuji, why do you care so much for me?"
"Because I like you!"
"You like me because you felt sorry for me and only wanted the best for me. Don't force yourself to pretend."
"That's not true! My feelings for you are genuine and real!" Yuji cried, crashing his forehead on yours. He weeped as tears kept washing on your face like you were standing outside the pouring rain. "You slowly took over my heart until I realized what you meant to me! I don't want to lose you, y/n! Please stay here with me! I want to watch the fireworks with you again!"
Your eyes shot open, brimming with tears as you recalled the festival. It was a magical experience, and it filled you with joy. No one else could've extracted your content emotions but Yuji.
"I know circumstances have changed regarding my death sentence! I'm not going to die anymore, so I want to live my life with you! I want to explore new experiences with you! You make me happy and I know I won't feel that with anyone else!"
Your lips quivered from his deep confession. He always had a way with his words to touch your heart. You decided to step back from your callous attitude and show him warmth that he craved. Cupping his face, you gently spoke to him. "Yuji, I would love to experience the world with you, but I don't have the willpower to live in this world that once tried to kill me. I am drained and hurt. You can find somebody else who can like you as much as I do, so I can't be yours because I have to protect you from Sukuna." You wiped his tears away with your thumbs. You needed to let him down or else this wouldn't stop.
"B-but I can protect myself—"
"He will hunt you down in order to get his full power back. I'm not going to let him get to you!" You sternly said, pushing his face away from yours. His eyes glittered from his tears as they were extremely red, and snot ran down his nose. He's in a horrible state because of you, but he's no longer powerful enough to protect himself from Sukuna. He would have to rely on his peers to protect him if he were to face Sukuna. "I don't care if you can protect yourself, Yuji. Remember Sukuna's a monster now. The only reason why you were strong back then was because you had him inside of you, boosting your physical attributes. You're just an ant in his hand. If you die, I'll be devastated where I won't forgive myself." As much as you wanted to say more, you knew he was going to refute your statement in any shape or form. So the only way to protect him was by taking away Sukuna's cursed energy that resided in him, just like how you did with Maki's.
Immediately, you collected the energy you had inside you from resting and flipped Yuji over so now he's on the ground and you're on top of him. Your hands gripped his shoulder and forcibly transferred his cursed energy into your body. You tapped into the portal where no sorcerers could enter but you. You grabbed the glowing core in a dark room and snatched it in the palm of your hand. The brightness of the core faded as it sunk into your skin, infusing with your cursed energy. You took what Sukuna wanted as it's now going to be converted into your power as your cursed energy broke down his energy.
Back into reality, Yuji passed out and you threw yourself off of him as you staggered away, feeling light headed from the process.
"Mmm…I don't feel so good," This was worse than collecting Maki's.
Then someone behind you applauded for your cruel behavior. "I wished I had seen that side of Kameko when she was alive."
