Chapter 5 - A Happy Reunion?

Vi was limping as she and Caitlyn were doing their best to escape Silco's goons. She was still leaning heavily on Caitlyn's shoulder, groaning with almost every step and clutching her side. Sevika fucking got me good. Serves me right for getting distracted I guess…

In the distance you could just barely hear people shouting to each other, giving out orders. "Silco's goons aren't far behind. Whatever place it is you have in mind Vi… we better be there soon."

"We're… almost there…" Vi said to Caitlyn as they were getting closer and closer to an old water tower that Vi recognized. Vi sneaked a glance at Caitlyn's face as they were walking. She's really trying to save me here… she could just leave me and save herself.

"That watertower! Get… get me to the edge." When they got to the edge they both saw that it was a pretty far drop and the few wooden beams holding the tower looked unstable. Vi took her arm off Caitlyn's shoulders and stood on her own. Okay… you can do this Vi, just a wound on the stomach. Your arms and legs are still intact… Come on!

"You sure about this Vi? Maybe we shou—" Caitlyn began, but interrupting her was Vi taking the leap and beginning her descent down the shaky water tower. She got the first jump down with ease, second jump… Shit, Foot slipped! Vi landed on her stomach on the second beam down. FUCK, THAT HURTS. She had a hard time holding on and started falling down again. Fuckfuckfuckfuck! This time things went even worse, barely touching the third beam down but instead just touching it with her shoulder, almost breaking her shoulder when it happened. And then she finally got to the ground, although landing on her side very ungracefully and started rolling down the slightly tilted ground the tower was standing on. Caitlyn lost vision of her. Shit. Bad idea after all. Looking to her left she could hear Silco's goons coming closer and closer. Coming down now Vi! please don't be dead…

When Caitlyn got down she could see Vi on her knees of in the distance, clutching her stomach, she looked like she was in great pain.

"Vi!" Caitlyn rushed over to her and gave her support, helping her stand up again. When Caitlyn finally started looking around at the place she was shocked at what she saw. People leaning over everywhere and coughing. It was incredibly dark down here and a couple of tents had been set up as if it was a refugee camp.

"What is this place?" Caitlyn asked.

"It's where the kind of people you topsiders don't want to think about wind up." Vi answered, just a hint of anger in her voice. A man in a tattered black coat was slowly crawling towards them, sticking his hand out as if he was asking for something. Caitlyn wanting to get a better look took out her flashlight and shined it on him, which made him run away, clearly scared of light.

"It was never this big before though… it's gotten bad while I've been gone. Hey Caitlyn, over this way." Vi said, pointing with her unsupported arm towards the building underneath the water tower they'd jumped down.

When they entered the small building Caitlyn sat Vi down on a low table and propped her back up against the wall. Shit, starting to lose it here… Vi was getting more and more dizzy by the minute. She would need treatment quick if she wanted to survive this. Looking around the room Vi remembered some of the good times she'd had with Powder here.

She could hear Powder laughing, almost as if she was there with her. Looking over at the wall where Powder used to draw and chill in her hammock, Vi saw Powder.

Powder!? Wait… no… I'm seeing things, shit. She disappeared just as quickly as she'd appeared. Caitlyn was getting closer to Vi with a clean rug in her hand. Vi stopped her hand with her own, brushing it away.

Caitlyn let out a sigh. "I know you have your reservations about me, but this'll only work if we can trust each other."

"This shit never works, never has. You topsiders have always found a way to screw us over."

"I suppose topside is to blame for all your misfortune." At this, Vi could see her little Powder again, humming a song and drawing on a wall. Powder… I know you were just a child back then, I was too… We all make mistakes.

"No… not all of them…"

"We aren't monsters, you know. We're people, just like you." Hah… don't even fucking compare yourself to our life down here…

"You don't know anything about us, our lifes." Powder was standing in the corner, staring at Vi with a scared expression.

Why did you leave me Vi… I thought you loved me… Powder said.

"I'm sorry… I shouldn't have left you…" Vi said, Caitlyn not realizing it wasn't her she was speaking to in that moment.

"It's all right Vi. Despite everything, I can tell you… You have good intentions, a good heart." Caitlyn said and started working on the stomach wound on Vi.

You've got a good heart… Vi could hear Vander say from somewhere before she started slipping in and out of consciousness, between life and death.

"Vi? Shit… Vi!? God dammit! Okay think about this Caitlyn, think…" Maybe… maybe someone down here know how to patch these kind of wounds up, I've gotta try.

"Be right back, Vi. I'll find something." Caitlyn said just before she left Vi alone for a while to go look for help.

Vi…!

Vi!

Huh…? who?

Where are you vi!? Why did you leave me!?

Powder?

Vi wasn't sure what was happening right now. Everything was dark but she could hear Powder's voice.

I'm with Silco now… at least he loves me… Flashing images of Silco holding Powder in his arms and looking at Vi with a wicked grin could be seen no matter where she looked.

No, Powder he's lying to you! I would never stop loving you!

I used the flare you gave me… you never came Vi! You abandoned me…

I… I couldn't, I was stuck, Powder…

You told me you would find me… you lied!

I'm sorry Powder… I'm sorry… all images disappeared and everything turned dark again, reality coming back to her. When she woke up she started crying.

"I'm sorry… I'm sorry… I'm sorry…" Caitlyn was no where to be found.

I deserve nothing…

When Caitlyn closed the door behind her a man outside surprised her.

"Is she all right?" Caitlyn jumped back, drawing her gun at the man.

"Wait, wait, wait! Easy... easy… Tha— that's Vi, right?" This made Caitlyn even more suspicious of the man seeing as they were being hunted right now.

"I'm a friend! Or well, atleast I was. I mean, I… I owed her old man my life. Probably even more than that. I guess…"

"She's bleeding, she needs a doctor." The man laughed a little at this.

"Not so simple to come by around here." He said as he stood up, laughing nervously. "I''m sorry. Oh, uh. But, ah, I do know someone else who might be able to help." Walking away from Caitlyn he beckoned for her to follow him. Not having much else of a choice right now, Caitlyn complied and followed him to whoever it was he knew could help Vi.

When they arrived at the 'doctor' the man rang a couple of metal pieces hanging together, making a *clinging* sound. The small door behind the iron bars opened, a huge person looking out from the dark inside room.

"Ailment?" they asked. The man that guided Caitlyn looked to her after she didn't say anything. Oh, right…

"Uh… she's been stabbed." The apothecary closed the door again, probably to get whatever it was that would help.

"She makes potions. Helps people here with… with this" he said, pointing at the disfigured part of his face.

"Shimmer. Why would you take something that does that to you?"

"I just… wanted to feel what it was like. To be somebody. To make other people afraid of me the way I've always been afraid of them." The door opened again and the huge woman put down a small bottle on the counter.

"Trade" She said. Trade? I… I've got nothing to trade though. Maybe if I'm quick enough I can… Caitlyn thought as she slowly moved forward a little, the apothecary instantly backing of just a bit. No… that won't work with these bars in the way. Do I give her my rifle?… My rifle or Vi's life? I guess… Vi's life is definitely more important, In the end. Having come to a conclusion Caitlyn unloaded her gun and disabled it, pushing it forward on the counter. The apothecary took of one of her earrings and opened it, letting one drop of whatever liquid was in it mix with the potion she'd put on the counter earlier. Turning it into a shade of pink.

"Thank you, I really—" Caitlyn said as she took the potion, but got interrupted by the huge woman snatching her gun from the counter and closing the door instantly.

"Let's go get this to Vi. I think she might be happy to see a familiar friendly face too."

"No, no, no… You… you go ahead. She knew me when I was still… Anyway, I don't want her to see me like this. Just tell her, uh, tell her I'm sorry. About everything. Okay?" This person really cares about Vi… To think a good person like this has come to where he is now… Caitlyn felt bad about the guy and gave him a hug suddenly and then walked away, enough having been said.

Vi heard someone open the door. She slowly opened her eyes and tried her best to see who it was, but her vision was so blurry.

"Vi." Mom? Is that you?… Powder? Suddenly a liquid entered her mouth, she tried to spit it out but she couldn't open her mouth, something held it in place. So she was forced to swallow the alien liquid.

What… what was that… I feel… feel…! Suddenly a sharp pain shot through her whole body, she tensed up and sat up quickly, screaming in pain and surprise for just a second. She was instantly catched by something, someone, who brought her back to her resting position. Her body still hurt like hell and she was breathing frantically.

What was that!? It, it hurts!

"Vi! Vi calm down!" Caitlyn brought each hand to Vi's cheeks and held her in place, trying her best to make Vi look at her, to calm her down.

Caitlyn? Wha… where did Powder and mom… Wait, oh right… Vi finally coming out of her confusion and near death state understood more of what was happening. Caitlyn was staring her right in the face, just a few inches in front of her. Uhh… this is weird.

"Uh, Caitlyn? Thanks but, maybe back up a little?" Caitlyn realized she was very close so backed of and stood up, a small blush visible on her face.

"Sorry. We need you back on your feet." Caitlyn said, standing up and pacing around a little. "What was the name Sevika gave you? Jinx?" Vi sat up, feeling her stomach not hurting anymore. It's healed? Huh, good job Caitlyn, whatever you did.

"Right. Jinx. How could I forget? By the way, how exactly did you fix up my wound? I was out of it so didn't really know what happened."

"Oh? There was some kind of apothecary down here that traded me a potion in exchange for my gun."

"Your gun!? Holy fuck okay…" Wait… an apothecary, down here? Fuck, guess I just got some kind of shimmer in me huh? "Well, thanks for fixing me up, there was probably some shimmer in what you gave me but the withdrawal syndoms shouldn't be too bad seeing as it's the first time I take it. And it doesn't seem like it was a very strong dosage either, thank god."

"Shimmer!? Shit, Vi I'm so sorry I… I didn't know…" Caitlyn looked genuinely regretful.

Huh, she really had no clue. That's a topsider for you I guess.

"Anyway, we're going to have to be more careful now. Silco will be watching our every move." Caitlyn continued while pacing around the room they were in. Caitlyn noticed a couple of names on the wall with numbers besides them, most likely having been used to measure their heights.

Violet… Violet… Powder… Powder… Huh… Did she use to live here? Looking around a bit more she noticed for the first time some of the crayon drawings on the walls.

"You used to live here? Who's 'powder'?"

here we go… Vi thought before explaining. "My sister. I thought she would probably be dead after all these years, but, no. I must find her, no matter what."

"How do you not know if your sister is alive or dead?"

How fucking dumb can you be… Vi stood up, anger starting to show on her face "It's kinda hard to check up on people when you're stuck in prison you know?"

"What, you don't have parents?" Vi marched towards Caitlyn, fists clenched.

"No. They were killed by enforcers!"

Oh… so that's why… shit, now I feel bad. Caitlyn gasped, not used to people Vi's age not having parents.

Caitlyn really can be so fucking dumb sometimes… I guess that's what you get for living on the fucking topside. "I realize you might have it good on topside Caitlyn, but down here we—" Vi was interrupted by loud sounds coming from outside their door.

What was that?… Vi approached their door, instincts already telling her something bad was going on outside. But when she opened the door, she'd never expected what she saw…

Silco… Vi was shocked but the shock quickly turned into anger. Silco was standing outside with two bodygaurds. He was holding two containers of pink/purple liquid, teasing a couple of people addicted to the substance with it.

Shimmer… you fucking piece of shit. Silco chuckled a little when he noticed Vi open the door.

"Vander's prodigy. I've regretted that we never had the opportunity to speak." Vi recognized one of the people at Silco's feet, begging him for a piece of shimmer.

What is… so this is where you ended up… I'm sorry. Vi thought before the man scurried away from the scene with a shimmer container. It was the man that helped Caitlyn earlier.

Vi Clenched both her fists in rage. "What have you done with my sister?" She asked Silco.

"I've freed her." He said, dropping the last shimmer containers to the people at his feet. "Candidly, I thought you were the prize of Vander's little family. But, Jinx… Oh, she is more than I ever imagined she could be."

Jinx? So they really call her Jinx?… You're done for Silco. I'll never allow you to get close to Powder again. "I'm gonna find her and erase whatever fucked up delusions you put in her head. And then me and her are bringing your fucking bullshit of an 'empire' down all around you. You'll regret allowing us to live."

"You don't know your limits girl, it's what got Vander killed. What drove your sister away. And, it's why I'm here right now. To end it all." The people had now drank up their shimmer and were starting to move towards Vi, clearly intent on hurting her.

"Yeah, well… You talk too much." Vi knowing how long that fucking water tower had stood there knew all about how unstable it was. So as soon as the shimmer junkies got too close to her she turned around, ran full speed inside her and Powder's little room and delivered a punch to the center pillar and took Caitlyn's arm and ran away in the opposite direction, away from Silco.

The whole water tower came tumbling down in Silco's direction, effectively cutting them off from being able to give chase. Instead doing their best to survive the incoming crash.

I'll find you Powder, I'll fucking find you. Was all Vi could think about as she ran away with Caitlyn at her side.

Jinx was walking along the rooftops, making her way towards the destination she'd thought be best for using the flare Vi had given her back then. When she saw the place with her own eyes she knew, there would be no better place than this.

If you're alive Vi, then find me. She took out the flare and held it in her hand, walking towards the edge of the tower with the best view.

Vi and Caitlyn had to climb a really steep wall to get back up again. Vi was still feeling hurt from the stab wound but it was much better now. Caitlyn was first up however and when Vi got to the edge she struggled to drag herself up.

Come on Vi! Fucking get yourself together and find Powder! Caitlyn kneeled down and helped Vi up the last bit.

"We need to get out of here fast Vi."

"Hah, no shit. Follow me, I know a way." And so they both ran at full speed away from the scene.

As she was standing there on the edge, Jinx looked at the blue crystal she'd brought with her. She'd thought that if Vi actually came, then Jinx would show her. Jinx would show her everything she's done and how she's mastered the the volatile power that she back then… couldn't master.

How is she so fast? Caitlyn thought as she ran as fast as she could behind Vi, trying her best to keep up.

Find me… Vi could hear Powder in her head.

I'm coming Powder, I'm coming okay!?

Jinx stood there for a while, looking at the flare.

I'm scared Vi… will this really work?

You… you're right, I'm stupid for ever thinking this would work. I should just… go back, yeah.

'Wherever you are, light it up and I'll find you' Jinx was shocked at hearing her sisters voice in what felt like forever ago. But Vi's encouragement was all she need. Jinx let out a deep breath she'd been holding and pulled the pin for the flare, holding it up as far as she possibly could.

Please… please find me Vi… I need you.

You're really trying your best aren't you? Fine, I'll allow it, this once. Mylo said. Claggor also spoke up for the first time in a long while.

You're taking a big risk… hope it works. He said.

Find me Vi…

"Over this way!" Vi yelled back at Caitlyn. They were now in the middle of the Lanes dodging passerby's to their best ability while running at full speed through the tight alleyways. When they crossed a more open space Vi accidentally ran into man. No thinking straight right now she got pissed off and pushed him back, giving him the long finger.

"Fuck you! Get out of my wa—" She was about to finish her sentence when she saw a big cloud of blue smoke in the air coming from one of the tallest towers she could see in the distance. It was like Vi's lungs were punctured when she saw it.

Blue smoke… 'Wherever you are, light it up and I'll find you' Powder! You… I'm coming Powder! Just as Vi was about to start sprinting towards the blue smoke Caitlyn had managed to finally catch up with her.

"Vi! What are you doing!?" Vi didn't answer so Caitlyn grabbed a hold of Vi's wrist and tried to drag her along and out of her stupor.

What— who is? Caitlyn? No, fuck off! I need to find Powder! Vi wrestle herself free of Caitlyn's grasp.

"We need to go Vi!"

"You see that blue smoke Caitlyn!? I'm going there! If you follow me or not is up to you but I have to go. Now!" Vi started sprinting faster than she ever had before with the hope that she was about to see her sister again after all these years, leaving Caitlyn behind in the dust.

"Vi!? That's the wrong direction!" What is she doing? FUCK! Do I follow her?… Caitlyn heard people shouting in the distance. No time to choose, guess I'll fucking follow her, god dammit Vi!

Vi was now climbing buildings, not sure what way was best she literally just went in a straight shot towards the blue smoke, not caring if she had to jump through peoples homes.

After running for about 5 minutes Vi had gotten really close, she was now taking the last steps up a couple of stairs to where she'd seen the flare's origin come from. Vi was breathing heavily from the lengthy run.

Is… is she here? When vi got to the top of the stairs she saw her. Long braided blue hair on a petite body. It's… it's really you… Powder…

It's running out Jinx… is she coming?

She… she has to! She promised!

Mhm… guess we'll see.

Vi… Please… And that's when the last of her flare ran out.

No… no… I TRUSTED YOU! YOU SAID YOU WOU—

"Powder?" Jinx stood still, no thoughts running through her head. She turned around slowly and saw a tall girl with pink hair standing in the shadows, slowly coming towards her, breathing heavily. She could see that the girl was about to start crying when they made eye contact.

"Vi?" Jinx asked, never having sounded more conflicted and broken then she did at that moment.

"Oh Powder!" Vi ran towards Jinx and gave her a hug so gentle and yet so absolutely soul crushing that Jinx couldn't move a muscle, dropping everything she was holding at that moment. she found out quite quickly however that her arms moved on their own and snaked their way around Vi's body.

Vi… It's really you? You're even stronger then back then… She thought as she felt her hardened and muscular body under her hands and arms. Jinx started to cry, overwhelmed by it all. Vi separated herself from Jinx just a little so she could hold her cheek in her hand. Vi wiped away the tear that Jinx had let out "I'm so sorry Powder. I tried to come back. I promise, I did. But I… I got arrested."

Vi is crying… for me? Does she love me still? "Arrested? Marcus?"

"I don't know who it was. I… It doesn't matter now. I just… I never thought I'd get to see you again!" Vi had a hard time trying to not hug Jinx so hard her bones would break. She buried her face in Jinx's neck and just took her in. We're finally together again… she thought.

This is a trick! Vi is dead! Mylo said, although his voice was very quiet now.

"Are you real?" Jinx asked seriously with a shaky voice, not actually sure this could be possible.

Am I real? Oh Powder… Vi let her go again and held her arms with her hands. "Yes, of course. It's me, Vi, you sister. I'm— I'm here. I'm right here Powder, this is real." Vi leaned forward and gave Jinx's forehead a kiss, holding her lips there for a moment before separating and giving her a hug again. Jinx finally realized that this girl in front of her was in fact her sister, kissing her forehead just like she'd do all the time back then when Powder was either freaked out, sad, or just in general needed some love.

I… I Changed so much for what? She's alive. Everyone's been lying to me all this time, Silco's been lying to me all this time! But the old me is dead now… the me that Vi knew. Jinx started crying uncontrollably when she realized this.

"Things changed after you left Vi. Everything's changed. I changed…"

"I know, Pow-Pow, I know. You did what you had to survive. I've also changed since back then. It's okay. What matters Is that we're together again and I'm never leaving you for ANYTHING. I love you." They stayed like that for a while, hugging each other, enjoying each others warmth again after all this time.

"Vi?"

"Yeah?" Jinx separated from the hug and looked at Vi seriously now.

"I… Powder… Powder's dead Vi."

"What? What are you talking about you're right here. I would know my sister when I see her." Powder's dead? What is she talking about?

"No… you don't get it, I get that you don't get it but. I'm… I'm Jinx now."

"Jinx? Fuck, I never should've called you that. Listen Powder you're not—" Jinx pushed away from the hug and somehow all of a sudden Jinx had gotten angry with Vi.

"Stop! You're treating me like I'm a child. I grew up okay!? I can take care of myself, Jinx can take care of herself unlike Powder!"

God what… what happened, we were being so friendly just now and when I tell her she's not a jinx she gets this angry with me? What has Silco done to you… and she's… Jinx now? I don't get it. Vi didn't understand what Jinx fully meant with what she'd said.

She's probably here for the Blue Crystal thing! Mylo interrupted Jinx's thoughts and she started laughing at what he'd said.

"Is that why you came? For that stupid crystal?" Jinx asked her motioning towards a shining blue crystal on the ground.

What the fuck is that? Vi thought. "What? No, I don't even know what that is, I…"

She's lying!

Is she?

She's lying!

I don't know!

"You're lying..."

She has to be!

"Shut up! Let me think!" Jinx said before Vi could think of a response.

"I… I didn't say anything… Powder are you—" Vi reached towards her but Jinx jumped back and got her pistol out, aiming it at Vi's head.

"Jinx. I told you it's Jinx now." Jinx was looking at Vi with a deadly look she never thought she would ever see on her sister. Vi held her hands up, mostly a instinctual reaction to having a gun pointed at her but also to disarm the situation as much as possible.

What has happened to you… you've changed more than… I imagined… Silco…

"Okay. Okay. Let's calm down a little… Just, listen to me, okay?" Jinx only nodded slowly, gun still pointed at Vi's head. "You're my sister and I'm here for you, it doesn't matter if you're Jinx or not. All I see in front of me is my sister! So please… Put the gun down and let's… let's talk about all of this okay? Explain it to me, I need to know what Silco's lied to you about all this time." Jinx finally started to put her arm down, putting her gun back on her hip.

"Silco lied to me, I know… but he took care of me when you abandoned me."

"Yes I… I made a mistake, a big one that I've never stopped regretting ever since then." Vi looked pleadingly at Jinx and opened her arms, inviting her for a hug.

Can you really trust her? What if she's lying just like Silco did, you trusted him and look what happened! Mylo told Jinx.

"Vi I… I don't know if…"

"I love you. My sister." Jinx gave up and ran back into her sisters arms, crying softly into her neck, happy that she'd finally found her family again, her real family.

What has Silco done to her… for her to be this conflicted about me being real and or lying… Being this angry at me for calling her Powder? What the fuck has he done.

Vi separated herself from Jinx again, held her shoulders and looked at her face. She's… she's smiling at least, just a little bit. That's good, I think.

"Vi."

"Hmm?"

"Never leave me." Jinx said with a pleading voice, her face so incredibly cute looking Vi could just kiss her…

Kiss her? Wait, nonono… I'm confused. But, I guess… It wouldn't hurt to give her something.

Vi once again leaned in with her face and this time gave her right cheek a kiss, holding her left cheek with her hand, wiping away a few tears from earlier.

"Thank you Vi, I love you…" Everything seemed perfect then, but it wasn't gonna last forever, the world always keeps going no matter how much you might wish for time to stop moving sometimes.

Did I hear something just now? Off in the distance Vi could hear heavy footsteps approaching from behind.

"Did you hear that?" Jinx said, now on high alert all of a sudden, probably used to things always being out to kill her.

"Yes I heard… Something." They looked around not seeing anything.

"Vi?" They both heard from the stairs they all had come from. Jinx pushed Vi to the side and got her Minigun out.

"Who's that!? Why does she know your name Vi?"

Oh no… not now Caitlyn, fuck. "Wait! She means no harm, that's Caitlyn, a friend."

"Is that… Jinx? Your sister's Jinx!?" Caitlyn said in shock at realizing the person with blue hair was indeed Jinx, and she was Vi's sister too.

"No!… Yes… It's a long story, okay? Just… fuck." Vi looked to Jinx again "Put the gun down, please? I won't let anyone hurt you when I'm here." Vi told her, putting her hand on Jinx's arm.

Vi loves someone else… Sevika was right! Mylo said, his voice now returning after having been quiet for so long.

"No! I don't trust her!" Jinx said resolutely. And then came another sound from up above now instead. Jinx started freaking out a little at all the new things happening when she had just had a quiet, good time with her sister.

"Someone's coming." Jinx said, everyone started looking around for what it could be. Just a few couple seconds later, Firelight members started pouring out of the pipes going through the walls all around them on hoverboards. Jinx started shooting at them as soon as they appeared, knowing who they were. Vi was surprised at Jinx sudden aggression but trusted her decision and got into position behind her, standing back against back, Ready to defend her sister should anyone try to get close to them.

Where the fuck did all of these guys come from? Did they come for Powder? Vi thought as she stayed at high alert for anything coming close. One of them came really close and circled them with his hoverboard, Vi hit him hard on the face, which made him fall of his hoverboard. Another one came right after trying to swing at Vi but she just barely managed to dodge the hit, losing her close contact with her sister.

Jinx was holding her own, maybe even better than Vi seeing as she had a ranged weapon. One of the firelights approached her fast from behind and Vi was worried she wouldn't get back to her fast enough, and she didn't. But what surprised her about it all is that when the firelight goon got close to her Jinx turned around and smashed her face in with her minigun.

Powder you… You really did change in a lot of ways huh. It's good to see you've trained. Not wanting to get distracted in the middle of a fight again she stopped focusing on Jinx seeing as she could hold her own and got back to defending herself just as one of them approached her.

The fight was going on for quiet a bit and somewhere in the middle of It all, Caitlyn had tried to go in and grab the blue crystal from the ground, it was why she originally had come after all.

What the fuck is she doing? Is she just gonna grab… whatever the fuck that is and not help us!? Vi thought as she saw Caitlyn. Suddenly Vi saw gunshots flying towards herself and she didn't have enough time to dodge, so all she could do was bring up her arms but luckily, all the shots missed her somehow. When she looked at her enemy though it… wasn't an enemy.

Powder is… She's laughing? And she almost shot me! Is this what you were talking about? Is this Jinx? Vi saw movement to her left and had to get back to fighting again. No more time to think about why Jinx was laughing from shooting people.

In jinx's head, everything was pure bliss. Her sister, Vi, was back. Jinx was shooting at firelights without a care in the world, fighting them together with her sister.

After all this time I can finally stand besides you in a fight Vi! Look at me! I'm grown up now! I can handle myself, I'm strong!

Focus! Above! She heard Mylo say, so Jinx dodged to the right, just barely avoiding a blade coming from up above. Jinx then proceeded to roundhouse kick the guy to the ground and shot him once, killing him instantly.

Vi was still fighting the same big guy from before but after a couple of hits she finally managed to knock him down on the ground so she once again turned her attention to Jinx who was…

Watch out! Oh shit, she dodged it, how is she so fas— *BANG* Powder you… you killed him!? What have you gotten yourself into Pow-Pow…

"Powder…" Jinx shot another one out of the air who somehow managed to roll away from her firing barrage and jumped down the platform and landed on another hoverboard mid air.

This… this needs to stop, she's losing control of herself!

"STOP!" Huh, what the fuck is this? I can't… move! In the middle of watching Jinx fight, someone had thrown a crystallization grenade on Vi which made her completely unable to move, so she fell down on her face. Vi managed to roll around and look at who it was that had trapped her. The same guy that she'd knocked down before.

Oh you stupid fucking idiot! You need to focus on your own fucking target! The guy was aiming his spear at her head, ready to pierce her head straight through anytime now. But he was interrupted by another one of the firelights who told him "We're bringing her with us." His voice altered by the mask

Oh no you don't. Vi tried her absolute hardest to break free with every single muscle in her being but all she managed were some cracks in the crystals around her. Shit… this is bad.

"Powder! Help!" Vi yelled, hoping for her sister to maybe be able to do something.

I told you already… My name, is Jinx! Now what the fuck are you screaming abou—… Jinx looked behind her, irritated look on her face and saw her sister on the ground, unable to move due to those well known crystallization grenades the firelights had come to love using.

You are NOT taking her from me! Her face shifted from irritation to worry. And then to anger. "Release her. Now." Jinx said so coldly Vi almost shivered from the sound of it. Jinx aimed her minigun at them and started spinning it up to shoot them all down but the firelights were smart. They grabbed Vi and put her up in front of them as a form of human shield against Jinx's bullet barrage.

Shoot! What are you waiting for, shoot!

No! I… I can't kill Vi…

"Vi… I… I can't shoot." Vi knew they wouldn't get out of this situation so she did all she could and gave Jinx a big but sad smile, tears running down her eyes.

"Never forget me okay? I'm sure, we'll see each other again…" Vi wasn't sure she believed herself but she wanted to, she wanted to with all her heart.

"Please release her… I'll… you can have me instead?" Please don't take her away from me again. The firelights looked at Jinx, a bit shocked at what she'd said. But in the end they couldn't trust her after all she'd done to them. Jinx could not be trusted, ever, in the eyes of a firelight. The firelights looked at each other for just a second, agreeing on something. Jinx knew something was up and that if she was gonna lose her sister here then she might as well do her best to kill the motherfuckers.

"You're not taking her!" she said as she started revving up her minigun to shot at them

"Powder!" Vi said just before a smoke screen was thrown down and all of them got concealed to Jinx's eyes. So she didn't shoot, still not wanting to kill her sister, of course.

"No!… Fucking, don't touch me!… I will kill you for this!… Don't… DON'T TAKE ME AWAY FROM HER!" Jinx could hear Vi shout, her voice getting smaller and smaller as time went on. When the smoke cleared from Jinx's vision she couldn't hear her voice anymore, Vi was gone. Again.

"Vi?"

Ahh, ahh, look at you, you fucked it all up again. Your new name just fits you more and more each day, Jinx. She heard Mylo say, laughing at her.
