After the loud explosion, Yuji and Megumi opened their eyes and saw your body on the ground. Megumi dismissed his shikigami and released Yuji from his hold. Yuji wasted no time, taking off his jacket and wrapping it around your waist to stop the bleeding and hold you in his arms. He pushed you to his chest as his heart beat against your faint heart. Sobs erupted from his hanging mouth. So many tears dripped on your face as nothing could fix his broken heart.

"Y-y/n….!" This felt too surreal to accept. "It wasn't supposed to end like this! I wished it was me who died with Sukuna!"

On the other hand, Megumi slowly walked behind Yuji and put his hand on his shoulder to comfort him. "Earlier this morning, she already knew this was going to happen… but she wanted to let you know that she feels the same way for you." His heart ached at your selfless act but you only did your job as a sorcerer. It's a sorcerer's life to either live or die during the mission.

Megumi turned his head away to silently cry as he rubbed Yuji's back.

Then footsteps entered the room and the boys looked at the entrance to see Gojo taking off his blindfold. Gojo could make out what happened from the sight in front of him. His lips pursed as he held in his regret and remorse for not making it in time. It ripped Gojo apart to see Yuji and Megumi mourning.

Y/n, I'm so sorry you had to do this alone. If only I was faster, you wouldn't have had to sacrifice your life for all of us. We could've made up a plan where you could've been with us! You shouldered this just like everyone else did, but you risked everything so we could have a better future. I'm a terrible teacher… Please forgive me. Gojo felt miserable seeing his own student die before him. You were so young and had a full life ahead of you. Not only was he already fixated on the fact many sorcerers were dead, but it came with a price—you.

Gojo began taking short and slow strides like his feet were made out of cement and each time he took a step, more weight was added. He wanted to see you for one last time. Old memories of the past flashed through his head as he teared up. Gojo recalled meeting you when you were only six years old with your haughty attitude. He watched you grow and took care of you as if you were his sister. He took you under his wing and shielded you from the world which wanted to manipulate you. He used his power to give you a normal life until you were ready to tap into the jujutsu society, but even then he couldn't protect you from this destruction. If God could hear his wish, he would've wished you to live an exchange of his life. You're more important to this world than he is. You're the living legend of creation, power, and unity.

Once Gojo approached, he dropped on his knees and opened his arms so he could hold you too. Yuji gently handed you into Gojo's composed arms, and the moment you were in his reach, Gojo lost it. His arctic eyes shut as he sobbed quietly. He couldn't believe it.

Yuji and Megumi had to step out from the gloomy day. Their heart and soul couldn't handle this tremendous stress and agony.

Meanwhile Gojo poured his heart out for you to listen even though you were barely breathing.

"I'm sorry, y/n! I failed to save you… I was supposed to find you, but I was tricked and fell into their trap!" Gojo hiccupped and brushed your hair out from your peaceful face that had no chain to your body. You were free as a bird, able to fly high and roam across the world as you please. "I hope you're happy where you're at! I hope you're reunited with your family as you're laughing and smiling with them… I'll make sure this place will be a better world! Sorcerers will remember you and your sacrifice, okay?!" His voice cracked into a million pieces he couldn't pick up without cutting himself. "You are loved y/n and don't forget that. I'll miss you—!"

Suddenly, Gojo stopped talking when his six eyes was giving him a message. The time he stepped in the room, he remembered getting confirmation from his sixth eye that your cursed energy ceased due to Sukuna's outweighing it. However, your energy found a rhythm to cleanse his curse without you fully dying after consumption. His ears detected your heart rate picking up and your breathing became perceptible.

New set of tears broke free as he wondered what happened. Was it a miracle? Was it his prayer? Either way he's over the moon that you're alive.

Gojo shouted the news at the boys and they rushed over like it was Christmas Day. What the boys heard from Gojo sounded so odd but they didn't care. As long as you're not dead, that's all they wanted. They wanted you alive so everyone can all have their new beginnings.

But Gojo dropped a bombshell on them. "From what it looks like, her body will take years for her to break down Sukuna's power. I can't tell you how long it's going to take, but as long as her body is stable and consistent then she will be fine."

"A coma? I can do that. I can wait for y/n to wake up!" Yuji happily smiled at the news because as long as he can see you and be with you, time wasn't an issue because you're the only one he wanted.

They took you to Shoko so you could be healed and hooked up with wires to monitor you.

It was only Yuji in the room with you as he held your hand in his. He watched you quietly breathe through your nose, and he placed his forehead to your hand. "Y/n, when you wake up, it's going to be a different world. It's going to blow you off your feet that it'll make you want to stay instead of leaving… But even if you still want to go, I'll follow you no matter what because losing you is a feeling I don't want to experience again!"

The sorcerers who were left behind picked up the new pieces and created a place where their ideas could be implemented and respected while still maintaining balance between both worlds of sorcerers and non-sorcerers.

7 years later…

The destruction left in the rumbles were rebuilt with new structures where all is welcomed. Rules and regulations still stood for justice but in a way where cases could be looked at in different ways than what's appearing on the outside. There was no such thing as one group holding power as it's dispersed to leaders who foster the care and integrity of jujutsu. Clans no longer existed as it didn't hold value due to the fact it caused dispute within the society for so many years. Hierarchy meant nothing as long as a sorcerer can exorcize a cursed spirit. There were many changes that shifted new ways of perceiving this new era.

Along with the pristine society, the sorcerer population grew three times over the last seven years because of Kenjaku's doing of having non-sorcerers turned into sorcerers for the cullen game. It caused a surge of enrollment of Tokyo and Kyoto technical schools to skyrocket. Although it boosted the community, it's still kept a secret from non-sorcerers.

Additionally, the history textbooks were corrected, showing the true colors and corruption the previous era had until the final savior demolished it. All sorcerers knew the real story as both Kameko and you were highly respected figures.

"Woahhhh! Sensei, so you're telling us that you were involved in the final battle with Sukuna?! Wasn't that hard since your power was drained by y/n?!" Student A asked in curiosity as it blew their mind.

Then Student B hit Student A's head for being insensitive. "You dimwit! Don't be so rude!"

Yuji laughed warm heartedly with his 18 students. His buff arms were folded as he reminisced about the past. "Sadly, I was a hindrance to y/n and Fushiguro! But in the end, y/n took him down like it was nothing. Her ability isn't to be reckoned with,"

Student C asked a question that everyone's been thinking since it's not written in the textbook. "Sensei, what happened to y/n? It doesn't disclose it. Did she die? Is she alive?"

"Because her status is unknown. Remember the book said a bright light emerged and that's how it ended and that's how much I saw it too. If there's ever a case where she is alive, we will revise the books and seal the deal!" That's because you haven't woken up yet after seven years. You were still processing Sukuna's energy. Your condition improved overtime even though it was slow. Nonetheless, you were getting better each day and Yuji couldn't wait to meet you.

"Sensei, you should tell us more about your high school days…!"

"Maybe another day!" Yuji chuckled because that's a long story to be told.

"You look so young to be our homeroom and history teacher…. Are you single?" A shy yet bold girl asked. She didn't care about the age difference because in a few more years she'll be legal and able to date whoever she wanted.

Yuji's eyebrows rose from the personal question. He's only been teaching for a few weeks and never came across this before. Up until now, he has never confided to other women because his heart belonged to you. He couldn't love anyone as much as he loved you. You're his soulmate. He'll wait for eternity just to see you awake. "Yes, I am young. I'm 22, and no, I'm not single. My heart belongs to a special person and I will not reveal it either! End of class! I'll see you later at the end of the day! "

His students whined, wanting to hear the juicy love story, but Yuji didn't want to tell them since it's not important.

Everyone grew up and stayed in this profession. Gojo took the principal position despite still being immature and started a family due to his parents' nagging. Yuji decided to take the teacher position here while his peers: Megumi, Nobara, Maki and the others did their own things. Occasionally, they'd popped on campus to hangout with Yuji, but they all had busy lives to prioritize too.

Yuji walked in the hall to go to the staff lounge until he bumped into Gojo's kid, Yukio, who wasn't watching where he was going, almost fell but Yuji's quick reflex caught him in the nick of time. "Woah Yukio! Be careful! We can't have you in Shoko's office again!"

Yukio stumbled back on his feet when Yuji let him go and smiled brightly at him. "Yes, I know! Daddy will be sad if that were to happen!" Gojo's son was an extreme daredevil who didn't know pain. He was immune to it. He got it from Gojo's genes.

"Haha, okay!" Yuji waved and continued on.

Yukio skipped down the hall to visit a secret room that his daddy has always been talking about and even showed him a few times while crying. He remembered his daddy calling her 'y/n' and he knew who she was since she's a prominent figure in their history and lives.

"I'm going to be the first person she sees when she wakes up!" Yukio deviously laughed as nobody knew his plan, not even his own dad. Gojo didn't watch his son because he trusted him. He's a well behaved kid who never stepped over the line.

Yukio entered the room, quietly shutting the door behind him. There wasn't any security surrounding your room since nobody but the original people knew where you resided. Your existence was kept off from the world since nobody wanted to influence young sorcerers to find you or create theories which could tarnish the world and your reputation they wanted you to live in.

Yukio was busy trying to pull a chair close to your sleeping body until a voice startled the living life out of him.

"Who are you?"

"AHHH!" Yukio screamed, jumping around to see that the one and only f/n l/n woke up from her coma. He couldn't believe he's the first one to be greeted by the goddess of this society.

Your face scrunched up when you took a good look at the boy's face. "White hair, arrogant blue eyes…? Ew, are you Gojo Satoru's kid?" You said in a confused and disgusting tone of voice the moment his face clicked with Gojo's. They were identical.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'EW'?! I AM HANDSOME LIKE MY DADDY!" Yukio felt so insulted. He couldn't believe that's the first thing that came out from your mouth. This should've been more rewarding but it disappointed him.

"Ahhhhhh! He even has his attitude too!" Your brain exploded. You couldn't believe Gojo finally started a family. Why else would there be a tiny Gojo in a kid form? "They all start when they're young… What did your dad install in your brain?"

Yukio fumed with annoyance as his face turned red. "How dare you?" He began snapping back at you as he resembled an angry puppy barking with his squeaky voice. You kind of wanted to laugh because you couldn't take the kid seriously, but you had other things to worry about.

You looked down at your hands and then your surroundings. I'm… I'm back! I'm actually back! I wonder if the world is different? I wonder how the others are doing?! Is Yuji here?! Has he moved on from me and found someone else? Your chest ached from the thoughts of him finding someone else, but you knew it would've been the best situation depending how long you were sleeping for. However, you can't let your emotions make you depressed when you have questions about this world you've woken up to.

You directed your attention to mini-Gojo. "Hey kid,"

"YUKIO," the kid aggressively said his name and you rolled your eyes at him. He had a lot of attitude from that little body of his. You believed he must've gotten some type of genetic mutation because Gojo never had an attitude in his life despite being a carefree idiot.

"Okay, Yukio, what year are we in?"

"2025,"

You gasped loudly, shocked by this madness. "It's been seven years…? I've been sleeping for this long? What the fuc—hell?" You almost cursed but remembered the kid was in the room just staring at you. "How old are you?"

"Six,"

You narrowed your eyes on Yukio, wondering if you should tell him stories about his dad, but you decided not to right now. As much as you wanted to see Yuji, you don't even know where he was and since you had Gojo's child that meant he's in this place.

"Where am I?"

"Tokyo tech,"

Wow he's a smart kid for being six. He's somewhat reliable. You said to yourself, having a good feeling about him.

"Where's your dad?"

"In his office,"

"What?"

"Yeah, he's the school principal!"

That's when you burst out laughing, smacking your leg as this was too good to be true. "AHHAHAHA! Your dad… a… principal…?!" You wheezed so hard you hardly had the time to breathe properly. It was too funny that you cried out small tears. "Ahhh…! You're pulling me leg, kid—"

"YUKIO!" He corrected you. "And I'm not joking either. My dad is the principal! I can show you."

You blinked a couple of times as you're just taken back. "Wait what? You're not lying?"

"Yeah, let's go!"

"Hold up!"

You took off the wires and needles in you and you sat yourself up and prepared to walk. You were scared that your legs were going to give up on you because you haven't moved for years. Slowly, you slid off the bed, holding objects to help you stand. You wobbled, trying to find your balance in your body and it instantly clicked. You weren't flinging around like a person on a tightrope.

Each step you took, you felt strong and powerful and excited. Then you caught a sight of your mature appearance in the mirror in front of you. You rushed towards your reflection and examined your own face. "Wow! Is that really me?! That's crazy!" You looked so different. This didn't feel like your own skin though it was. It's creepy but in a good way. "Who is she?!" Your confidence level of your appearance skyrocketed because you aged really well despite being sleeping beauty. You also wanted to check out your body too, but you couldn't because of the kid in the room. All you knew was that your assets were defined and plumped.

/

You walked in the empty hallway in your white gown and slippers, gazing around the area like a kid who was at a candy shop as it made you very nostalgic. Nothing changed from the interior, but you saw a glimpse of the outside and it did look different. There's a big courtyard with two tall statues whose faces were you and Kameko. They built it in honor of the creators of the jujutsu world.

"Where's everyone?" You asked because it's eerily quiet.

"In class."

You admired everything all the way to Gojo's office which wasn't connected to the school building but at a separate location on campus.

Yukio didn't care to knock as he barged in. "Hi, daddy!"

No manners like Satoru. How crazy… You wondered if he even had his mother's genes or maybe Gojo created a clone of him through a lab instead of settling down.

"Look at who I found!" Yukio gestured for you to walk in and you did. When you stepped in, Gojo stopped his paper work as his mouth opened in awe. He really couldn't believe what he was seeing. This felt like a dream. He stood up and took off his blindfold. His six eyes told him this was you, you were alive and real. Gojo's arctic blue orbs trembled behind his water gated eyes.

As for you, you got very emotional and started crying. You ran into Gojo's open arms as he wanted to hug you. Gojo tightly squeezed you, making sure he wasn't going crazy and began expressing his feelings. "Y/n! I can't believe you finally woke up! I was so scared that you weren't going to!" Gojo sobbed at the reunion and told you what happened during the last seven years you've been out.

Hearing these amazing accomplishments, you knew you left this world in good hands. You felt reassured that you didn't have to shoulder this place alone, but you're unsure if you still want to stay. You still have trauma that hasn't healed.

"That's great to hear! I'm glad it's all going well and this community has grown to appreciate me and Kameko…" During the conversation, it was hard not to talk about the elephant in the room: Yukio, Gojo's son. "So you're a dad and married now?"

"Oh him!" Gojo briefly explained how his dating life turned out. His parents forced him to marry around the time everyone was trying to rebuild this new society, then a year later his ex-wife fell pregnant and gave birth to their son.

"So where is the wife?"

"Ah, we're divorced. She's out of my life. It was more of a transactional marriage and it didn't work out." Gojo whispered the last sentence so his son couldn't hear him. He didn't want to stir family drama until Yukio was older.

"Yeah, no. I can't see you settling down because you're too cocky with everything. It's so hard to see you the same…!" You shivered in disgust. You weren't sure if it had to do with his age which was why he got married or the situation that this world lacked sorcerers so he had to produce one.

"Oh come on," he flicked his wrist at you for being a stinker. He really missed your presence more than he knew. Gojo's just so happy for you to be back. Then his tone changed when he noticed something off about you. "But I can sense that your body is still trying to recover."

A frown drew upon your lips as you nodded. "Yeah, it's still breaking down his power. I'm not at my full strength. My body was able to heal and rest so that it would let me wake up." You were disappointed about not returning back to normal, but you'd prefer to wake up now instead of fully recovering because you didn't know how you'd respond to the far future. Seven years wasn't too bad. If it was too early, you'd believed it would've been harder on your body, but right now all the weight you felt in you was great. You didn't feel sluggish, rather energetic like you could manage exorcizing curses with tiring yourself. It felt different in a good way.

"It's okay, y/n. You don't have to worry about any enemies because they're gone, and you have us to aid and protect you. We're glad you're alive despite what's going on in your body." Gojo genuinely said, patting your head as this reality was still sinking in for him.

"Where's Yuji? Is he—"

Being the best man Gojo was, he told you all that you needed to know. "Yes, he's here. He's working as one of our teachers, and yes, he's single! He has been waiting for your return and has never dated anyone else because he's loyal to you. Go get him, y/n!" Gojo saw how your eyes lit up like the starry night at a place where there's no cities to prevent the stars from shining as it was. He knew your feelings for Yuji were as deep as his. This surprise would knock him off his feet and would make him cry his eyes out. He's so happy that his former students will be together.

"Hey y/n,"

"Yeah?"

"You know you're held back because you didn't graduate high school," Gojo snickered to change the mood. He missed teasing and getting a reaction from you.

You clicked your tongue as he ruined the good vibe. Now you're displeased by him and didn't want to be in his space. You forgot how much Gojo could change your mood in an instant. "Dude, shut up. Show me the way." You demanded.

"After you get changed first." Gojo threw a pair of clothes and shoes at your direction and announced Yukio was going to be your guide.

You stood behind the classroom door that Yuji was currently teaching right now as it's their last period. You felt your heart race in anxiety and your body was getting jittery. Your bad scenarios kept popping up in your brain, thinking that Yuji wouldn't appreciate ruining his class time or he might not be as happy as you were.

Y/n, Yuji will be ecstatic to see you! I don't think his personality would've changed. I shouldn't doubt what Satoru said all because my anxiety is playing with my feelings. This moment will be revolutionary! You gave yourself a pep talk and calmed yourself. Being scared won't help yourself because you're not going to let fear control this special reunion. Your guys told you that he'll reciprocate your delighted feelings.

You firmly gripped the door knob, warming it up as your heart beated loud in your ears. You're so scared yet excited. The anticipation built up, and you aggressively slammed the door open.

BANGGGGG!

"Who is that?"

"What happened?"

"Was it an earthquake?"

The force was so strong, it shook his classroom as his students murmured and tried looking at the door while seated.

Yuji even flinched from the sound. He didn't expect any outside disruption. When he stared at the entrance, he choked on his spit as the person who did that was his y/n. Tears came flooding behind his waterline, and he couldn't utter your name, he was scared to.

Am I dreaming? No, I'm not dreaming. Is she really y/n…? Did she wake up? Why weren't we informed?! Yuji had so many questions occupying his head. His emotions were lost and conflicted when it shouldn't be.

Your lips trembled, and you started crying again. Your eyes and nose turned red as your overwhelming emotions broke free. You didn't care if his students saw because this was for you and him. "Yuji…" you whimpered, leaping towards him as you jumped in his arms. Your arms were wrapped around his neck and your balance disappeared as Yuji quickly stabilized you. He didn't hold you yet, letting his hands freeze in the air. He wanted to feel the small details to knock himself into reality.

I can feel her heartbeat against my chest, her body is warm, and she's breathing heavily at my neck…! She's back! She's actually back!

Finally, Yuji pulled you in close and squished you to him.

"Is that the person Sensei was talking about?"

"She looks familiar,"

"She's gorgeous from the side!"

However, he forgot that he was teaching a class so he dismissed them earlier than usual. His students questioned what's going on as they left you two behind.

You sobbed, inhaling his scent and he still smelled the same. Yuji couldn't believe you're finally in his arms. The love of his life has come back.

"Y/n, I've missed you so much!" Yuji cried with you, pouring his feelings in the air. He pulled back to view your face again, and you still retained your youth despite the years. You were still beautiful. No one could compare to you. You're a beauty in a mine of crystals. You outshined all dazzling gems because you caught his eyes and heart so long ago.

After calming down from you two's emotional rush, you and Yuji sat across from each other in the staff lounge.

You guys were very jittery due to the fact so much has changed in the course of seven years.

You broke the silence and grabbed his hands as you wanted to feel his touch again. His warm skin made you feel alive. "H-how are you? I met Satoru and his kid. He told me what has happened, but I want to hear it from you."

Yuji squeezed your hands, embracing your loving touch he craved for so long. He couldn't help but smile. His whole aura changed from the sight of you. He felt like a different person now you're here. "I… I won't lie. It was hard to cope. Losing you made me depressed. I didn't know when you'll wake up, but I knew that I wanted to change this society where you're welcomed. We all did! In this world, you're not going to be alone or be betrayed because we're all going to work together to maintain transparency and a good working relationship with everyone on the jujutsu board. Don't hide, please. I made it safe enough for you to join in."

Instantly, your mood was unreadable as you didn't know how to respond. You squeezed his hand, letting him know your uncertainty and looked him in the eyes. "Yuji, it sounds amazing but I'm scared. I don't think I can come back. I truly want to leave this community because it's better without me!" Then you immediately changed the topic to answer your own personal question. "I know the history book changed. What did it say about my status?"

"Unknown. Gojo and Master Tengen tweaked it to make your 'death' seem mysterious, never stating if you survived the battle or not because you were thrown in a coma and we didn't know when you'll wake up. We all decided that your status will be rewritten once you—"

You knew where he was getting at, so you stopped him from speaking any further. "Leave it be."

"What? Why?"

A glum expression took over. "Because it's best if new sorcerers don't know. I want to be kept a secret. I just have a gut feeling that my known existence will cause imbalance because I have the ability to strip a sorcerer's power! I don't want to be seen as a threat… Plus, we have Satoru here." You light heartedly chuckled because he knew how to handle this society unlike you. "I'll step in if it gets really bad like the event of seven years ago."

Yuji sighed as he didn't convince you well enough but remembered you wanted to leave regardless. He can't blame you for being afraid and wanting to protect yourself from potential harm.

"And… I'm not fully recovered either."

Yuji's eyes widened, popping out of his seat as he let go of your hands. "What? You aren't? Y/n—"

"Yuji, I'm fine. I feel better now. The coma really helped my body to recover and break down his power. Don't worry about it," you gently spoke, rubbing his arm to calm him down from the old memory of the fight. "With that being said, I'm not coming back. I'm going to live a normal life."

The conversation didn't last long when the door slammed open and your peers, the first and second years when you were in school, excitedly greeted you. You saw familiar faces and hugged them. Your heart swelled in delight as you missed everyone. "It feels weird to wake up into a new age and see how much you guys aged!" Your eyes and brain had a hard time registering their old faces to their new faces. "How did you guys know about my return?"

They all said in unison, "Gojo,"

"Ah, I figured. Well, since the gang's all back, what's been going on in your lives?"

/

Later that night, Yuji invited you to a summer festival since it was around the corner. You wore a cream color yukata with floral prints and had hair accessories to complete the look.

"I feel like an alien… Wearing clothes feels so weird now." You laughed as you're not used to the texture of the yukata. "Not going to lie, I thought after seven years, I thought human society would have progressed more but it feels the same." You believed that you'd see flying cars since technology was always advancing and changing the world. Nonetheless, you're going to struggle entering this new world because what you know may be different now.

Yuji chuckled at your wild thoughts. "y/n, that's going to take years to achieve! Come on, let's go!" He grabbed your hand and dragged you around to do activities.

It felt very nostalgic as you remembered playing these games with Yuji seven years ago. You were creating new memories with him while the old ones were tucked away in a safe place.

Some time passed and you two were eating candy apples on a bench.

"You wanna know something,"

"Yeah, what's up?" Yuji wondered what you wanted to tell him.

You stared at the untouched side of the apple as the caramel reflected your face. "I was supposed to die back then. The bright light and Sukuna's power made me see my dead family on the other side. I was ready to let go." A stinging sensation pricked your nose as you recalled the moment hurting you. You were so close to reuniting with them again and seeing your parents after ten years. "My family greeted me with warmth. I finally got to hold my parents and feel their loving touch that was absent from my whole life. They were telling me how proud they were to watch over me and see me grow, but they told me that it wasn't my time to come. I remembered asking why, and they said it's because I had people who needed me more and wanted me to live. Then somehow Kameko popped up, agreeing with my parents. She apologized for forcing me to endure this unhappy life I was born into because of her, so she jump started my heart and caused my body to break down Sukuna's power instead of dying. It's an amazing story right?"

PLOP!

Yuji's apple dropped to the ground once you finished your story, and you glanced up to see him in shock. He didn't know how to take in the information. In his ears, it sounded like a miracle on a blue moon. Yuji blinked a couple of times before speaking, "I'm flabbergasted! Who knew Kameko would be so kind as to do that for you?! Even dead, she's powerful. I'm grateful she did that though! Or else you wouldn't be here with us." Yuji preferred not to think about the what if's, especially when it came to you.

"Kameko has always been a kind hearted person. It's in her blood. People just took advantage of her heart, that's it."

Then a small silence fell between you two as it was peaceful rather than awkward and tense. It's a good quiet that made time run slow so everyone could enjoy this everlasting moment. You guys were just waiting for the fireworks to go off.

However, you interrupted the quietness when you recalled Gojo talking about Yuji like he was a contestant on a dating show. You giggled from the event and turned to Yuji with a grin. "So you've been single for seven years, huh?" Teasing him, you nudged his arm and he instantly turned red under the dimmed light.

"Uh, yeah…! Being a sorcerer is hard work! It's time consuming." Yuji had a hard time locking eyes with you as your brazen orbs were digging into his soul.

"Really now? Within seven years, you never found anyone attractive that you wanted to pursue them?" You wanted to see how much you could push Yuji's button before he exploded and said he liked you again.

"No, I wouldn't because they never caught my attention—wait, never mind I do like a girl!"

Your heart twinged in jealousy as you set yourself up to feel like this. Leaning in closer to his face, Yuji flinched from your closeness as your guys' noses touched. This made Yuji's heart race. He was scared that you could hear it. "Who?" You asked.

Suddenly, loud explosions erupted in the air as fireworks went off, painting the sky with bright colors. You whipped your attention to watch it instead of pressing him during this moment. In a trance, you didn't take your eyes off from the contant fireworks popping in the air. While in Yuji's perspective, you resembled a child who had never seen fireworks before.

"y/n, you want to know who's the girl?"

"Yeah!" You nodded your head.

Before you could react, Yuji grabbed your chin and pressed his soft, bouncy lips against yours.

Shocked, you froze in place and Yuji pulled back and giggled from your reaction. "Have you forgotten that my love never ceased?" He gently spoke, pressing his forehead against yours while cupping your face.

"Uh… Ah… I… No," You fumbled with your words, unable to get past the fact he kissed you. "Satoru told me about it. I just wanted to tease you, that's all… But I guess I was the one who got played. Well, you already know I accepted your feelings a long time ago."

Pulling back to look at him, you asked him a serious question that could jeopardize the future relationship. "Is it going to be a problem if I leave my past behind and start a normal life? I just don't know since you're already a teacher at the school and you're probably doing missions."

Yuji shook his head, knowing your happiness mattered the most. "No, it's not. Remember, I said I'll follow you wherever you go."

A smile cracked through your lips. "I can't wait for what the future unfolds," then you moved in to give him another kiss.

A/N: The book has finally ended, and I appreciate those who continued reading this until the end! Thank you!

And the readers who are interested in Yuta, his story will be out within the next few days! Just keep an eye out for that as I will also announce it on wattpad and quotev once it's published. I wished I could send out alerts on ao3 and fanfic but they don't have that option.
