-Chapter 29- 7 Days now and counting-

-Rachel pov-

"Alright you two have been scary" I look at Quinn confused while Santana tunes the guitar "We just got you two moved in and you already have five songs recorded!"

"You also are dressing in a mixture of your styles" I look over at Santana and we both shrug before going back to our tuning "That! That was in sync!"

"I must say it is weird for me too" Mom walks in with Mama Mari and Judy "Peggy said she is in her way with Holly"

"Emma is currently cleaning off the snow from her jacket" Judy let's out a sigh of nothing but love sounding "That girl can clean so well"

"And we are creepy?" I look at Santana and we both smile "Jinx! Jinx! Jinx again! Jinx times four!"

"Dear god they are twins!" Mama Mari puts her head in her hands "We are never going to have peaceful days in our life ever again!"

"Oh hush up!" Peggy walks in with Holly and Emma behind her "I enjoy the fact that they are happy! Now I believe we were promised a Christmas concert? Are the cookies and hot chocolate free of charge? Cause that may help your tips"

"It is a Christmas, Billy, and Elton mix up" Santana smiles happily "Rachel and I made it up!"

"Sounds lovely girls!" Emma lays her head on Judy's shoulder "We are all here now"

"Alright" I turn toward the piano as Santana turns on her mic "Piano man is up first!"

-Santana singing-

It's nine o'clock on a Saturday

The regular crowd shuffles in

There's an old man sitting next to me

Making love to his tonic and gin

He says, "Son can you play me a memory

I'm not really sure how it goes

But it's sad and it's sweet

And I knew it complete

When I wore a younger man's clothes."

Sing us a song you're the piano man

Sing us a song tonight

Well we're all in the mood for a melody

And you've got us feeling alright

Now John at the bar is a friend of mine

He gets me my drinks for free

And he's quick with a joke or to light up your smoke

But there's someplace that he'd rather be

He says, "Bill, I believe this is killing me."

As a smile ran away from his face

"Well, I'm sure that I could be a movie star

If I could get out of this place."

Now Paul is a real estate novelist

Who never had time for a wife

And he's talking with Davy, who's still in the Navy

And probably will be for life

And the waitress is practicing politics

As the businessmen slowly get stoned

Yes they're sharing a drink they call "Loneliness"

But it's better than drinking alone

Sing us a song you're the piano man

Sing us a song tonight

Well we're all in the mood for a melody

And you've got us feeling alright

It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday

And the manager gives me a smile

'Cause he knows that it's me they've been coming to see

To forget about life for a while

And the piano it sounds like a carnival

And the microphone smells like a beer

And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar

And say, "Man, what are you doing here?"

Sing us a song you're the piano man

Sing us a song tonight

Well we're all in the mood for a melody

And you've got us feeling alright

Everyone claps and I turn my mic on now. It is my turn to sing. It is Elton John now. I wink at my girlfriends as I begin to play with Santana.

-Rachel singing-

I remember when rock was young

Me and Suzie had so much fun

Holding hands and skimming stones

Had an old gold Chevy and a place of my own

But the biggest kick I ever got

Was doing a thing called "The Crocodile Rock"

While the other kids were rocking 'round the clock

We were hopping and bopping to the Crocodile Rock

Well Crocodile Rocking is something shocking

When your feet just can't keep still

I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will

Oh Lawdy Mama those Friday nights

When Suzie wore her dresses tight

And the Crocodile Rocking was out of sight

But the years went by and the rock just died

Suzie went and left us for some foreign guy

Long nights crying by the record machine

Dreaming of my Chevy and my old blue jeans

But they'll never kill the thrills we've got

Burning up to the Crocodile Rock

Learning fast as the weeks went past

We really thought the Crocodile Rock would last

Well Crocodile Rocking is something shocking

When your feet just can't keep still

I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will

Oh Lawdy Mama those Friday nights

When Suzie wore her dresses tight

And the Crocodile Rocking was out of sight

I remember when rock was young

I look to see my girlfriends blow a kiss at me. It is one of their favorite songs to dance to. Now we have our Christmas duet. I start playing on the piano as Santana start strumming on the guitar.

Maybe instead of Broadway I can be in a band!

-Rachel-Santana-Both-

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire

Jack Frost nipping at your nose

Yuletide carols being sung by a choir

And folks dressed up like Eskimos

Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe

Help to make the season bright

Tiny tots, with their eyes all aglow

Will find it hard to sleep tonight

They know that Santa's on his way

He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh

And every mother's child is gonna spy

To see if reindeer really know how to fly

And so I'm offering this simple phrase

To kids from one to ninety-two

Although it's been said many times, many ways

Merry Christmas to you

And so I'm offering this simple phrase

Merry Christmas to you

Everyone applauds and I look at Santana. She nods and we pull out our backup song. We live for attention so we can do one more. They seem to be enjoying it and the food that we made too.

-Santana-Rachel-Both-

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Everywhere you go;

Take a look at the five and ten

It's glistening once again

With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Toys in every store

But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be

On your own front door.

A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots

Is the wish of Barney and Ben;

Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk

Is the hope of Janice and Jen;

And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Everywhere you go;

There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well,

It's the sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas;

Soon the bells will start,

And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing

Right within your heart

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Toys in every store

But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be

On your own front door.

Sure it's Christmas once more

We smile and take bows as they stand cheering. I know it is genuine love and affection we are receiving. This Christmas is going to be one of my favorite I can tell. I finally have a family who cares about me.

I can not wait to grow closer to them all!
