Katerina returns!
Damon leads everyone in schemes against the Originals.
Rebekah attempts some revenge.
And Caroline navigates her feelings (a little).
Caroline was taking Tyler back to his house.
"I want to thank you for all you've done to help me. I've hurt you so many times, but with my new abilities, I'll have control over myself and I'll never hurt you again. You've made me into someone I can like, really everything that I like about myself is you."
'I don't think the things I like about you are you either,' Caroline thought before kissing Tyler against the door.
"Apparently, Caroline found an interest in the other hybrid," Rebekah told Klaus over the phone.
"Good morning Rebekah."
"I was hoping that would get more of a reaction from you. Your wife sleeping with your sireling, and you can't even blame her for it."
"What are you getting at?"
"I'm trying to get back at you for all the years of, what did you call them 'my boyfriend misadventures?' You've meddled in all of my relationships for the past thousand years, killed quite a few of them."
"It's not my fault you have dreadful taste in men," Klaus interjected.
"I'm obviously not going to hurt Kára, so rubbing this in is the best I'm going to get," she stated before hanging up the phone.
"Klaus Watch 2010, updates people," Damon announced in a false cheery tone.
"Mysterious locked coffins are still locked and mysterious," Stefan stated drolly.
"Where are Caroline and Tyler? Shouldn't they be here for this?" Bonnie asked.
"Caroline is watching Tyler with the new hybrid thing," Elena explained.
"Watching him," Damon repeated in a dirty tone with a wry smile and a wink.
"Leave them alone, Damon," Stefan complained.
"Fine. Bonbon, how are the coffins going?"
Bonnie stared at Damon critically.
"Ughh, Bonnie how are the coffins coming?"
"The coffins are coming along, I'll need blood from whichever Original locked them. I'm not quite sure which one it is yet. It's either Klaus, Elijah, or a brother we haven't met yet. Work on getting samples from the two of them and I'll narrow it down."
"How are we supposed to get Klaus' blood? Or Elijah's?" Jeremy asked.
"I don't know, propose a trade for some of Elena's blood. I need some of their blood. Figure it out."
"Do we have anything other than the coffins?" Elena asked.
"Not yet, unless anyone has some leads they haven't shared yet," Damon stated.
"I don't think any of us have been keeping something like that from everyone," Elena insisted, sharing a knowing look referencing their search for Katherine.
"Caroline, it's been too long."
"Not long enough," she told Katherine without the venom she wanted to present.
"Have you been avoiding me?" Katherine asked her with a shocked expression.
"Oh, don't blame your disappearing act on me. You always know where to find me, I have no idea where you go."
"Sure you do, you could find me any time you want. You're avoiding me or you're avoiding something else. Which is it, Caroline?"
"I'm not avoiding anything. What would I be avoiding?"
"I heard about you and the little Ty-brid, classic avoidant behaviour. So, who are you in love with? Someone your friends wouldn't approve of? Someone you don't approve of? Someone I don't approve of? How could you, Caroline?"
"Alright! That's enough!"
"Ooh, the cat has a claw. Nothing compared to this Kat, though."
"Not helping, that is what you are doing."
"Some advice then, love whoever you love. You're a vampire, go through rebellious phases. And if you want to hold out for some reason, then admit it to yourself. Just say it to yourself and avoid any feelings that you have, deny yourself. It's your decision, but pick you have an eternity to change your mind. I'll see you sometime in the future."
