Takumi worked on his comic, which was about cat girls in space. He chuckled to himself as he drew his best work yet, along with making the figures.

Yes, this will do very nicely. I'll make a fortune for many years to come! He thought, fiddling with his hands after finishing up his creations.

When he got to the convention that summer, his comic in hand all made out with vibrant colors and cute figures, he was sure to win the contest.

But another artist caught his eye. It was Haruna from the next school over. She wore a short sleeve shirt and a long skirt with a cute beret on her head. He gasped at the size of her collection. It was as big as his head.

She's never going to win with that. He smugly thought, confident in his abilities.

As soon as she sat down, droves of people came to buy her work, leaving him with a few people who were interested in his idea.

Damn, I need to think fast; wait, I've got the perfect idea!

"When you buy a comic, get a free figure along with it!" He boldly advertised.

"A free figure with a comic; that rules!" One customer said, buying the comic.

"I want one too, please." A girl said.

My comic is selling well, even if people just want the figures. I'm such a genius! Takumi thought, eyes sparkling.

"Um, excuse me?"

"May I help you?" He asked the girl, now out of his daydream.

"Is this comic suitable for all ages?" She asked.

"I made the comic with different ages in mind, so yes. Here are some figures too." He put the items in a bag and gave it to the girl after she paid.

"Great, thanks! I'll tell my friends about it, they love stuff like this." She said.

My dream is finally realized! I'm so happy! Takumi joyfully thought.

"And now, the final results of the comic contest goes to, drum roll please."

The instrument played and then finally finished for the announcer to say, "Takumi for his outstanding performance!"

"Thanks everyone!"

He celebrated his win by going to barbeque.

Take that, Nozaki! Takumi thought as he took a bite of cooked meat.

Nozaki shivered after he sneezed. Sakura helped him recover by getting him into bed at home.

Why did I have to catch a cold during the comic convention? He thought.

"I'm sorry to burden you with more work." Nozaki lamented after he took some medicine.

"It's no trouble at all. Besides, we'll win the convention next year!" Sakura encouraged.

Did Sakura always look this cute? I must be crazy. Nozaki shook his head.

"Would you like something to eat, Nozaki?"

"I'm good for now, maybe later."

"Okay, you get some rest while I finish the coloring on your comic."

"Thank you, Sakura. I love you." Nozaki whispered.

As it was getting late, Sakura stayed the night taking care of her boyfriend.

The End
