Chapter 13: Acceptance

'Alex walks down to the lair to talk to Justin while Max watches Rosalina. What is wrong with you? Max, was just trying to help, you had no right to bite his head off like that. I know Alex I'm sorry, I didn't mean it I just don't know how to feel right now.

I'm not the one you should be saying sorry to, look I know how Max can be but he is such a good kid, so maybe cut him some slack. You're right I'll go apologize to Max— Justin wait, I'm sorry too. For what? For Juliet, she got stuck because of me— Alex, I already told you that is not your fault, nor do I blame you for it.

Come on let's go back upstairs and attempt to be a "Normal" family for the day. I'd like that. 'Justin and Alex go back up to the loft, Justin goes and apologizes to Max while Alex sits on the couch with Rosalina in her lap.

Max bro I'm sorry, I had no right to act like that— Justin it's okay— no its not Max! I need to take it easier on you, on both of you. Justin no matter what we will always stick with you— yeah Justin- Alex and I will always have your back— and I will always have both of your backs too.

Hey I was thinking maybe we can always have a piece of Rosie with us— what how? This little one, maybe we can start calling her Rosie. I... that would be great, thank you Alex— you're welcome.

'After that a few weeks pass and Alex is making memories with Rosalina. Alex is sitting on the couch with Rose on her lap reading her an animal book. OK what is that one? Lion! 'Rosalina says really cute' No baby that's a doggy. Lion! Okay, I guess it's a Lion then!

Hey Dad! Hey Alex, how are you and the little one doing? We're good 'Alex says in an unsure tone' are you sure? 'Jerry asks' 'Alex gets up and goes to the kitchen' I'm trying so hard Dad, but it's just too much to deal with. I have to pick up toys, change diapers, teach her how to talk and walk, give her baths and a bunch of other stuff and Harper is busy.

Not to mention every animal I show her she calls a Lion. And then I also have to go to school, and then 50 OTHER THINGS POP UP AND— Alex, Alex, calm down it's okay, look I'll watch Rosie for the day and you go get some rest OK! No, I can't, I have to take her out to the park, then I need to give her a nap and then I— Alex you're stretched too thin.

You are stressed out and need a break, look let your mother and I watch her, and you go have a break day. I-I don't know dad, I-I can't I just have so much to do; I have to go put Rosie so sleep.

Hey honey, what's wrong? Its Alex, she has so much on her plate and she is dealing with it by herself, but every time I try to help, she doesn't let me. Jerry, you have to let her figure it out. I know you want to be there for her but Alex is Seventeen she is almost an adult; she will come to you when she is ready.

It's now later in the day, Alex is playing with Rosalina and the rest of the family is eating. Suddenly Professor Crumbs flashes in and greets the young wizards, he goes over to talk to Alex and gives her good news. Miss Russo, I have wonderful news for you! The Wizard Council has decided to let you keep your powers. Wait what? Why— word has gotten around that you defeated the Angels of Darkness. But I-I... didn't, I put in a good word for you 'Justin says to his sister' I don't know what to say thank you, both of you.

'Professor Crumbs takes Alex's powers out of his robe and gives them back to her and flashes out. I can't believe it, I have my powers back— congratulations Alex, I'm really happy for you; and hey your back in the Wizard Competition! Thanks Justin! For what? For being a good brother. You're welcome 'Justin hugs Alex.'

A few months pass Justin got Juliet back and the Wizard Competition was afoot. (It pretty much went down the same as it did in the show) Justin comes out the winner but decides to give the powers to Alex. And Professor Crumbs still asks Justin to take his place at Wiz Tech; however, Max is still a wizard since professor Crumbs never took his powers.

However, Max barely has any power left, his powers are so weak there is no point in using them as they are practically worthless, so he puts them away; but he still inherits the Sub Station from his dad and he's happy so everyone wins. (Anyways a year passes and the events of Alex vs Alex, still happen; but just a little differently) Alex splits herself to be more responsible with magic, but also splits herself to be a better mother.

"Evil Alex" and Dominic take Rosie to the tower with them as motivation for Alex. Though since Alex split herself, all of her negative emotions are in her evil half including hate. "Evil Alex" has hatred for Rosie because of what she represents, but she also can't help still loving her just a little bit; Rosalina is her daughter after all. Alex is trying to find them still and enlists the help of Mason, as she knows he is a Werewolf. While that is happening, "Evil Alex" is doing nothing when suddenly. Look what I drew Mommy! For me? Mm-hmm— uh look, why don't you go sit down and draw some more OK? OK.

The Dominic 9000 is almost ready, now all we need is your other half. Dude chill, she'll show up when she shows up. 'Alex, flashes in. See told ya! Alex, right on time— okay I'm here, please give my daughter back— not until you power the machine— Give me my family back first! No machine first! Family first! Enough just do it at the same time 'Evil Alex says annoyed.' Dominic hands back the bracelet to Alex and she frees her family.

Alex! I'm so glad to see you guys! Us too honey. Little Rosie finally looks up from her coloring book and is confused by their being 2 Alex's. One Mommy-two Mommy! Come here sweetie— I don't think so. Suddenly Dominic grabs Rosalina; NO! 'Alex shouts' Dominic, what are you doing? "Evil Alex asks" Let her go she's just a kid, she has nothing to do with this. She has everything to do with this, you're going soft Alex— of course I am you're threatening a kid, and my kid no less.

I will let her go once the machine is powered, your move Alex. All right I'll power the machine— You're running out of time Alex, do it now or I drop her. Dominic, give her to me Now! 'Evil Alex says with anger' Mommy I'm scared! 'Rosalina says crying' it's going to be okay. Alex does the spell and activates the device; yes, finally the world will be wiped clean of mortals— Okay I did what you wanted Dominic, now give my daughter back— fine I have no more use for her-go. Mommy! Oh, baby are you okay? Are you hurt? No mommy— okay go with aunt Harper.

Now that the device is done, I don't need you anymore, Alex. I was thinking the same thing "Evil Alex" and Dominic both take out their wands and try to destroy each other. "Bad Alex" does not have enough power on her own, so "Good Alex" helps her destroy Dominic. With Dominic destroyed, Alex shuts down the device and has a little talk with her "Evil counterpart" what were you thinking? I'm sorry I never meant to put her in danger, I guess I just wanted a taste of the Evil life. Come on its time to go back together— what if we don't? What- what are you talking about?

Look you're all of my bad, my evil, all of my negative emotions, what If I don't put you back? But then you would be all good? Maybe that would be a good thing. I've spent my whole life being negative, looking down on people, doing bad. But you kept all of it then I could lead a better life, I could be a better mom— you already are! All of that parenting stuff that's you this you, but you need me too. You need to be tough, you need to be able to have all of your instincts, and let's be honest I got most of them.

All right then, we'll combine back together. 'Alex re-combines her two half's and goes back to normal Alex; okay let's go home! The Russo's all return home, with Alex learning a good lesson that it's OK to be yourself and you always should be.

One Year Later... Okay, what is that one? I don't know mommy? Yeah, that might be a tough one, okay how about this one, what color is that? Blue! Good job. 'Sudden flashing starts happening; hey, I'm home! Justin! Hey 'Alex and Justin hug' who is that? 'Rosie asks' that's your uncle Justin, don't you remember? No. Well, I couldn't forget about my favorite niece, so here you go— what is it? Well, I can't tell you that it's a surprise. 'Rosalina goes through the bag throwing all the paper on the floor; Whoa cool! Oh, Justin you didn't have to go through all this trouble.

Of course, I did-it's the least I could do for missing her birthday. Justin, there is no need for you to apologize I understand. Ever since you took over Wiz Tech you've been really busy— yeah, I know but Rosie is my niece, and I want to try to be there more for her. Come here baby, let me put your necklace on for you, there. Aww! Look at you-you look so pretty! Oh, come here 'Alex hugging Rosie tight and kissing her' Mommy! OK we are ready for a day in the park with-Justin! Hey, mom— oh my baby, come here let me give you a hug.

Hey Theresa— Justin? Hey dad 'Jerry hugs Justin' so, how long are you going to be staying? I don't know— wait, if you're here then who's in charge of Wiz Tech? Juliet is watching over things for me while I'm here. Well son, this is your home, come by anytime— thanks dad, hey uh where's Max? Oh, he is downstairs running the Sub Station, did you want me to go get him for you? No, it's fine. Grandma look what I got! Oh, honey you look so pretty with your necklace on. 'Rosie loves her new necklace it has a long leather strap with a lion charm on the end of it.

All right we're off to the park come on Rosalina. Come here Rosie, now you make sure you listen to your grandma and grandpa, okay? Yes mommy— all right be good, and stay close to them at all times got it? Yes mom. Whoa, where are you going? 'Alex kisses Rosalina on the cheek' okay have fun, I love you! I love you too mommy, bye.

Max come's up the stairs and sees his brother in the kitchen. Justin! Max it's good to see you little brother, it's been a while. Yeah, since the Wedding, how's Juliet doing? She's good yeah, she is helping me out at Wiz Tech— cool, well I've got to get back to work, but maybe we can hang out later? Yeah, man I'd love that! See Ya. 'An hour passes, Justin is in the kitchen while Alex is on the couch watching tv, suddenly a knock at the door gets Justin's attention.

I've got it! 'Justin opens the door' 'Justin Laughing' Whoa! Rosalina honey, what happened to you? I fell in mud. What are you holding? Puppy! Rosie, sweetheart that is not a puppy, that's a racoon! Where did you find that? He was outside. Okay, go put that thing out on the terrace now— but mommy— Now! Rosalina. Okay— what am I going to do with that girl? Remind you of someone? Alex take it easy on her she's only Five. I know-did you set the racoon free? Yes mama—okay upstairs little girl, you need to take a bath.

After Rosalina's bath it was getting late so Alex wrapped her up in some warm clothes and blankets and put her down for the night.
