We are slowly making our way back out to the stage. Jesses team came out of nowhere. We thought we had this in the bag. Now our spirits are visibly shaken.
I hold Quinn's hand as we wait for the winner to be announced. We are only on stage with Jesses team. Apparently they have already told the other teams what they got. I give Quinn's hand a squeeze as the announcer comes up. The audience is silence when he taps the mic.
"We finally have a sudden death sing off!" The audience erupts and we all look at each other confused "The teams will have to sing one song from the judges chosen singer or band! The Singer has been chosen and it is Avril Levigne! The first ones up are the York Notes!"
We slowly make our way off the stage while they discuss their stuff. We have to have someone sing an Avril Lavigne song. We all look around and everyone shrugs. Everyone but our little miss Tina.
"No" Tina steps backwards and shakes her head "No! I am not doing a solo out there! They will eat me up! Pick Quinn! She is emo too!"
"But I have barely listened to her!" Quinn puts on a Rachel style pout "Pleeeeaaaasse! We will love you forever!"
"Damnit fine!" Quinn smirks and Tina looks at me "You are fucked"
"I know cause I did not know she could do that" Quinn gives a innocent look and I sigh "I am never getting my way again"
We all turn as music starts to play. There is a smaller girl on the stage. I see the members tense and get confused who is this girl? She kind of looks familiar.
"That is sunshine" I look at Quinn confused "We are fucked"

"We are fine" I look over at Tina who looks ready to pass out "You got this! You are one of the best singers we got! I believe in you all the way! NOW GO WIN THIS!"
"I got this" Tina takes a deep breath and walks toward the open stage "I got this!"
"You really think she has this?" I shake my head and Quinn sighs "This is going to be a long ride home with Rachel"
I nod as Tina tells the band what to play.

Five years from now, she sits at home feeding the baby.
She's all alone.
She turns on TV and guess who she sees?

She calls up her friends.
They already know.
And they've all got tickets to see his show.
She tags along,

Looks up at the man that she turned down.

"WE HAVE OUR WINNER!" The announcer runs up and raises Tina's hand "The trouble tones are the winners! Here are you winners!"
We all run out and surround her. She pulled off the win for us! She was able to beat sunshine! I still have no idea who the hell she is!
We take the trophy and make our way off the stage. This is the fourth best moment of my life! I am sure it will go down the list a few more spots as my life goes on. But for now it holds its place.
"Way to go" We all turn as Jesse walks up "But next time we will beat you all and it will be no mercy"
"I taught you somethings kid" Shelby smirks and holds up the trophy "But I did not teach you how to beat me"
He huffs and storms away as we celebrate. The family joins us as we celebrate. We all are moving into nationals. We proved them right moving up here.
I kiss both of my girlfriends before we hoist Tina up. She definitely deserves a major part for Nationals. She was the reason we just won out there. That and my amazing speech I have obviously.
This is going to be so fun bringing this trophy into the new school tomorrow!
