Leo's Pov...
Morning came rising over the lair as I woke up being the early riser that I was. I stretched out my rested muscles and instead of getting out of bed to go do my daily early training, this time I just decided to lay in bed. It was only about three weeks since Calli's real vision of seeing dragons in the Realm of Dreams come to life when they attacked us at Central Park. I knew that now that we were facing a new threat towards our clan and our home, that could lead us into something that we have never faced before. Worst thing is that the Dragon Lord was mostly after my pregnant wife and she was now the most vulnerable and in the most in danger out of anyone of us in the clan. He probably won't stop until he has gotten her, my unborn child, the rest of my family and I until we are dead. I had to now take my training and leadership to a whole new level into protecting my home, my family and my love, Callista.
I sighed softly and I turned my attention towards my wife beside me and my gaze softened. Calli, instead of laying on her shell like she normally does was sprawled out on her side. I smiled down at her softly seeing her looking so peaceful and relaxed, snoring lightly. I lifted up my hand and gently swept away her mask tails that were covering her eyes. I then began stroking her soft creamy skin along her shoulder as Calli continued to lay motionless, undisturbed by my touch. My hand gently brushed over arm then down towards her side, and my face lingered over at her swollen plastron and I let out a sigh of content.
I knew it wouldn't be long now. Not very long until I would become...a father.
I just couldn't believe that this was actually happening. That I finally had met someone who means the whole world to me and loves me for who I am and now we are expecting our first child together. My little son or daughter growing slowly inside of Calli was proof, that those dreams I had dreamt about long ago were finally being realized. The moment Calli told me about her pregnancy, I promised myself in my heart that I would not allow that dream to be taken from me and I will keep my love and my child safe from any threat of any kind. Even if it meant my own life being lost in the process.
Without warning, I felt a little tiny shift from inside of Calli and gave the palm of my hand a gentle press. It felt like I had just felt the own hand of my growing child touching mine, that fitted perfectly at the size of my palm. "Hey in there, good morning my little ninja", I said, softly
My hand then slid down towards Calli's bump as I rubbed it in a circular motion, feeling my child cradled up against Calli's side. "You sleep good?", I asked, my baby "I felt you shifting all night"
I felt a few nudges against my hand quickly and I chuckled patting her bump gently. A small laugh broke the morning silence and I looked over at Calli with a warmhearted smile across her face. I smiled warmly to her in return as her dark blue mesmerizing eyes slowly fluttered opened and met my own. My hand moved towards her cheek stroking it tenderly. "Good morning", I said, softly
"Just one more month", she said, shifting her position slightly
I smiled more and sighed happily. "Just one more month", I said "Little ninja has been shifting a lot, I felt it against me all night"
"Oh yes, little ninja here is quite the mover", Calli said "Just wait until it starts to kick"
"Oh I can't wait for that moment to happen", I said, stroking her bump
"Me too, it should be happening real soon", she said
She giggled, but then all of sudden Calli flinched back and beamed. She let out a tiny gasp and I looked at her worried. "Calli, what's wrong? Are you okay?", I asked, concerned
Calli then smiled widely as she looked up at me. "More than okay", she said "Leo, the baby just kicked me"
"What really?", I asked, totally surprised "Where?"
"Right here", she said, as she grabbed my hand
She placed my hand on the her right side where she felt the baby kicking her. We waited a few moments as I could feel the baby laying up on her side and I patted it a few times with my fingers, trying to get it to kick again. "Come on little guy, kick for Daddy", I said
Calli giggled and smiled. "Wait for it, wait for it", she said, as we both looked down at her bump "Now!"
Suddenly I felt a strong hard kick against my hand, causing it to pull back instinctively. I looked at her bump with shock as I felt for the first time my unborn child was moving around inside of Calli's stomach. The feel of wielding my katana for the first time or owning my own katana, the sheer joy I felt, is what I know felt for the little one. Of all the years I had mastered the way of the ninja, it feels like nothing compared to that first kick. The feelings Master Splinter could have felt when we were they little, I now know the feeling. "Wow", I said, softly
"You feel it?", she asked
"Yeah, yeah I did", I said "It felt...amazing"
We then felt it kick again, only this time it kicked me right in my plastron. Calli giggled as she sat up more in bed and rubbed where it kicked her. "It has you strong kick Leo, it's happy", she said "It's happy you are here"
"Of course you are, how could you not be?", I said "I love you so much"
"It loves you too Leo", she said, looking down at me
I smiled happily and I leaned down placing my hands on her bump and began giving it a shower of kisses as Calli giggled, showing my love for both my wife and my child.
Calli's Pov...
This moment really made my heart complete. It was a golden moment, something that could never be forgotten ever. The way Leo smiled as he felt our child kicking for the first time was just priceless. It was a perfect moment and I wished that it could last forever, but I knew it couldn't but I'm glad we got the opportunity to share this moment together, as a couple and as a family.
"It's going to be just like you Leo", I said
"You really think so?", he asked, looking up at me
"From the way it kicks I can tell it will be just like you", I said, smiling down at him
Leo smiled and he leaned up and he kissed me deeply on the lips and we hugged each other close, nudging our faces together with affection. "I love you", he said, softly
"I love you too", I said, giggling
We gave each other one last kiss before Leo pulled me towards him and I laid down against his chest as he cradled my bump in his hands with my hands resting on top of his. "Doesn't it just feel like yesterday that you told me that you became pregnant?", Leo asked
"It does, honestly for real, a whole lot it does", I said, smiling
Leo chuckled and he kissed the side of my neck softly, making me moan. "Have you thought of names yet?", he asked
"I have been putting some thought into it", I said "Just narrowing down it now to a few names that I think would be good"
"We will figure it out, don't worry", he said, rubbing my shoulder
I smiled and we gave each other a peck as I settled back down into Leo. But not only a few moments later as I settled back down we heard the sound of my stomach growling loudly. "Oh I think somebody is hungry", I said, rubbing my bump
Leo chuckled. "It sure does love eating", he said, patting my bump softly
"I'm starting to think maybe it got Mikey's trait of eating so much", I said
"It could be possible", he said
I giggled and smiled. "Alright honeybun let mama get you some food", I said, sliding off from the bed
"I better get started on early katas this morning", Leo said, sliding off the bed behind me
"Oh yeah that's right you have training this morning", I said, walking out of the bedroom door
"Yeah mostly weapons training today in the dojo", he said
"Good thing not out in the sewers where the boys could throw you in the river again", I said, giggling while walking to the kitchen
Leo stuck his tongue out at me playfully as I giggled heading to the fridge. I opened the door and I grabbed myself a strawberry and granola smoothie from the door, but then I noticed something was different. I looked around inside of the fridge pushing the milk, a few bottles of water, and some plastic bins of fruit and I groaned annoyed to try and find a plate covered with tin foil with pizza underneath that I made yesterday for lunch and it wasn't there anymore. Well I guess that is what happens when you live in a lair full of pizza loving turtles. I closed the door and I placed my smoothie on the counter then I walked out of the kitchen.
"Alright I had a plate of pizza in the fridge I was going to have for lunch, who took it?", I asked, walking into the living room
"Not me", Leo said, doing a kata
"Pizza Phantom", Donnie said, looking up from his book
"Why don't you ask Mikey?", Raph said, with a smirk
Mikey quickly looked down into his comic sitting on a bean bag chair in the living room. I crossed my arms as I walked over at Mikey, whom was humming as if nothing was wrong. "Mikey?", I said, with a cocked eyebrow
"Woah now we are getting to the good part!", Mikey said, trying to not to make it obvious
"I caught him sneaking in the fridge last night for a midnight snack", Raph said, smirking at him
"I did not! You fungus butt!", Mikey said, quickly getting up as he chased Raph out of the room
"Michelangelo get your tail in here!", I called out
"Do you want me to beat him up for you Calli?", Leo asked, as he swung his sword doing a kick
"Thank you sweetheart, but I don't think that will be necessary for this one", I said "I'll handle this like the time you hid my bandanna from me on April Fool's Day"
Mikey walked back into the living room as I placed my hands on my hips as he sat down on the same bean bag he was on. "You did eat my plate didn't you?!", I said, cocking an eyebrow at him
Mikey's mouth dropped as he looked at me shocked, as if I was talking nonsense. "Callista!", he said
"You did!", I said
"I didn't!", he said
"You liar!", I said, smirking
"Did not!", he said
"You ate my plate!", I said
"I did not!", he said
"Look me in the eye and tell me you didn't eat my plate", I said, in a low tone
He got up on my eye level and we both stared at each other not blinking once. "I didn't eat your plate", he said, following my tone
But then his cheeks bloated up and he burped right in my face as I fanned away the foul smell. I coughed trying to get the odor out of my mouth, then I glared at him annoyed and crossed my arms as he looked at me embarrassed, blushing in the cheeks as he was now caught. "Ask not for whom the belch tolls", he said
"It tolls for thee numbskull!", I said, sarcastically "I knew it was you"
"You only caught me cause Raph ratted", he said, sounding a bit annoyed
"I caught you from your belch smelling of marshmallows, sardines, pepperoni, and squirted cheese", I said, walking away laughing
"But it was really good", he said, smiling
"Now I know what it's like being you", I said "You are practically a turtle garbage disposal, your stomach must be made of scrap iron"
"Hey I have a big appetite", he said, laughing "A turtles gotta eat you know"
"You are such a dork Mikey", I said, shaking my head giggling "But I love you"
"Alright here", he said, walking over towards me "I'll make it up for you"
"And how are you going to do that?", I asked, cocking an eyebrow leaning against the wall
"What if I make you your favorite dessert this weekend and it will be all yours and you don't have to share it with anyone?", he asked
"Chocolate Silk Mousse Cake with chocolate chips on top?", I asked, smirking
"With chocolate chips on top", he said
I thought about it for a few moments whether or not to take the deal but I shrugged and looked back at Mikey with a smirk."You play a hard bargain my friend, but I accept it", I said, giggling
"Alright then, I'll have it to you by Saturday night", he said
"Just make sure don't eat like half of it like you did last time", I said, giggling
"I won't Calli, because I know what you will do", he said, smiling
"Good now go on you are going to get in trouble again with Splinter if you don't get your tail in the dojo", I said, playfully pushing him as I walked off "Which is some miracle that you made it through after six of them in three weeks"
"Oh I almost forgot", he said
He then flipped something up from behind his shell and it landed in front of me as he caught a big doughnut on a plate. "I got you some breakfast", he said
"Oh you didn't", I said, smiling "Jelly filled?"
"Cherry flavored the way you like it", he said, handing me it
"Awww thanks bro", I said, giving his neck a one arm hug "Now get going you are going to be late"
"See you later Calls", he said, running off
"I'm still going to be on your shell until you make that cake you know that don't you?", I called out
"Don't worry Calls, I'll put it on my list of things to do in order to not get a beating", he called out
I giggled then laughed as I walked back into the living room and I sat down on the couch and began enjoying my jelly filled doughnut for breakfast as I turned on the T.V and began watching the early morning news, resting my legs beside me. But what caught my attention was a story about a kidnapping of a scientist of some sort in the south side of Manhattan. As soon as the guys came out from training in the dojo, I knew I had to show them this as it looked pretty serious. "Hey guys check this out", I said, turning up the volume
"Police report says that the notorious Dr. Cornelius Quease was kidnapped today at the New York Hall of Science during a presentation of explaining of a new study of creating a chemical that can make diseases a thing of the past and change medical history forever", the woman reporter said
It then showed a man on the T.V and a couple of smoke clouds exploded and there was about four black dressed figures that came through the smoke clouds and after the smoke clear both Dr. Quease and the figures were gone. "Yes during the presentation it appears some black dressed game members who decided to kidnap the scientist and possibly hold him for ransom. Police are filing for a report on an investigation of finding the missing doctor and return him to safety, but so far we have no evidence on what criminals could of caused this crime"
"What kind of thugs would kidnap a scientist?", I asked
"Some with messed up minds and clearly no smarts", Raph said
"That is rather odd", Donnie said "I have read some of his novels and science books and his work is phenomenal"
"Well whatever it is we should keep an eye out and maybe catch these guys and find out what really is going on", Leo said, determined
Dragon Lord's Pov...
After being imprisoned for so long by my ancient enemies I was now free at last. I had a plan to take back the world and have my army and myself rule the many lands that my ancestors have once roamed before, and to stop and take down any enemy that tries to stop me. My enemies I had now were those troublesome and treacherous turtles, who have alluded me already twice. The one I wanted the most was the kunoichi, who helped my soldiers and I to escape to the real world to have my revenge on her for damaging my shoulder with that weapon.
I needed to get a hold of what was inside of her that gave her gift she has. With it I could transform myself into a glorious dragon emperor. I had no alternative on how to get what I wanted from her as she was heavily guarded by the others in her clan and I wouldn't know how to extract the mutagen out of her body. So I decided I needed help and I had sent my dragon soldiers to find someone who could. "Majesty", my dragon leader said, coming forth getting on his knee "We have the one you requested"
"Bring him forth!", I said
He got left my throne room and the double doors opened as more of my dragon soldiers had brought forward the one I needed to carry out my plans. He struggled in their holds as he was bounded and blindfolded and they stopped in front of my throne.
"What is going on? Where am I? I command to know who you are!", he said, struggling
"Remove our guest's blindfold", I said
My dragon army solider leader obeyed my order as he removed the blindfold from his head. "This is an outrage I demand to know what this is!", he said
My servant Wick had sniffed him out being the obedient one he was. "Smells yummy", he said, laughing
He looked towards me and trembled in fear, then Wick had turned back and faced me. "May we eat him majesty?", he asked
"You may certainly not!", Quease said
"Wick!", I said, angrily
I used my magic that I had coursing through my blood and I threw an electric spark at him, making him go flying and crashing into a wall. "The human is mine!", I said "You will have to forgive Wick, he thinks everyone I bring home is for dinner, untie him"
My soldier leader untied his bounded wrists. "Welcome Dr. Quease", I said "I apologize for the unfortunate kidnapping, but I think you will find we have great deal to share. I'm an expert in ancient medicine, but you have mastered the new magic"
"I'm not a magician, I'm a scientist", he said
"Exactly, a scientist", I said "And the question is will you continue to be a scientist or become food?"
He gulped in fear as he trembled. "And-and your deal is?", he asked, shaking in fear
I stood up from my throne and walked down the steps. "You shall follow and see", I said, looking back
I threw my claws forward and a few of my dragon soldiers came behind as they guarded him all around as I lead him to the deal I was offering to him. I stumbled upon this when I had set up my new hideout to catch the troublesome turtles and make New York my first spot to take back the world. "Behold, chronic modulators, triosolators, electron microscopes, and extractors", I said, as I showed him a laboratory "All of the profanely of your new magic"
"Yes yes very impressive", he said, looking around "So?"
"It is all for you", I said
"All this for me? A specialist in mutation why?", he asked "What is it precisely that you want me to do?"
"My good Dr. Quease, isn't it obvious I want you to explain to me the power of mutagen transformation", I said
"I'm afraid we haven't invented a mutant yet", he said
"They have invented themselves and I want what's inside coursing through their veins!", I said, clenching a fist "You will extract the mutagen and share with me its secrets and my army and I will become all nothing but powerful"
"I see and who are these ones you so call have invented themselves?", he asked
"They are my enemies who live in this city", I said "They are turtles that have trained themselves in the way of the ninja"
"My such fascination!", he said "I'll have to run a test for a comparative analysis on the intelligence of such a creature"
"There is one in particular I'm very found of", I said "It would be the kunoichi who helped my minions and I escape from our prison"
"And why so of such of this female?", he asked
"She is carrying a future member to their coven, increasing their power and I must stop them from growing and rise against me", I said
"A pregnant one? Such glory as this has never been documented before and this would not only make me a fortune, but also a chance to study and create my new chemical", he said "Alright Dragon Lord, bring me this pregnant turtle and I shall extract the mutagen from her body and it will make us both become mighty and powerful"
"Swell to see that we both agree Quease", I said "Lieutenant!"
My dragon leader came rushing to me and got down on his knee in respect to my royalty. "Yes majesty?", he said
"Bring with you soldiers and hunt the kunoichi down and bring her here!", I said
"Yes majesty", he said, getting up
I grabbed him from behind the neck and I turned him back towards me glaring."And bring her alive!", I said "My first earthly meal shall be first hot mutant"
Calli's Pov...
I hummed softly as I was walking out in the tunnels to get some good exercise and to get some quiet time. Mikey and Raph were being rather noisy in the lair with Mikey deciding to get back at Raph for what happen earlier this morning with his super soaker. I had left Leo a text on his phone letting him know where I would be at, since I didn't want to disturb him while he was meditating. I always made sure I would let him know where I would be at all times in case if I ever ran into any trouble while being apart from him and the others. I turned the corner down the tunnel as I came underneath a storm drain. I heard the sounds of bustling cars honking on the street and people rushing across the sidewalks, talking or yelling. The smell of Brooklyn dogs and city smoke had filled my nostrils as I looked up to the bright blue sky through the bars of the storm drain cover. "Such a nice day today", I said, to myself "I don't know how it can get any better"
I smiled walking away from the sunlight barely coming into the sewers as I continued walking down into the dark tunnels lit only a little by small lights hanging from the ceiling above. I continued on with my walk for a good two hours and I was starting my way back to the lair, since the boys would be finishing up training right about now. I turned a corner and I heard the sound of a puddle splashing behind me and I quickly turned to see no one was there. "Weird", I said, to myself
I thought of it just being a rat that scampered across the barrier and I continued on with walking. But not after a few moments later something zoomed by me making a breeze blow my mask tails in front of me. I gasped softly as I backed up against the wall, panting softly. Alright I knew now something was not right and I had to quickly get back to the lair to warn the others. As I was about to run back, I stopped dead in my tracks and backed up shrieking seeing three dragons in front of me, blocking my only path towards home. "Oh great and it just got worse", I said
"We have been waiting for you kunoichi", the biggest dragon said
"You guys again?! Seriously! What is up with you guys harassing me and my family?!", I said, angrily
He suddenly pinned me up against the sewer wall and my phone had slipped out from my belt, and bounced on the barrier in front of the dragons. One picked it up and he held it out in front of me and crushed it with his claws and threw it on the ground. I looked up to him glaring angrily. "Seriously?! I just got the phone fixed!", I said "I oughta bust your neck!"
The dragon that was pinning me against the wall had hit me against it, where my head had banged off against it.
"Your mouth may bring you much trouble turtle, for we bring a message from our lord", he said
He held up his clawed hand and slapped me across the face. "Come with us or you will perish!", he said
I glared and I kicked my knee up and got him in the stomach and I pushed him off of me as the other dragons caught him. "Alright that's it! No more Mrs. Nice Pregnant Turtle!", I said, pulling out my sword from behind my shell
Even though I wasn't allowed to do Ninjutsu for the length of my pregnancy, I knew I couldn't let them take me and the baby with them. I had to protect us. Who knows what they would do to us. Two dragons came at me and I kicked one in the shin since I couldn't kick high now and I elbowed it in the face, pushing it away. I threw my head back doing a head butt to the other one coming at me and I elbowed it in the chest and stepped on its foot hard with my heal. He roared in pain, holding his foot and I then punched him in the chest, knocking him down.
But out of nowhere, as I barely had time to turn my head, the biggest dragon had hit me in the face with the back of his scaly hand. The brute strength of it had me lose my footing and I fell backwards and my head had hit the concrete barrier below and my grip on my katana had slipped as it bounced out of my reach. I could feel my skull cracking from the blow and I felt like I was paralyzed. I looked beside me starting to see blood come pouring out from behind my head and my vision started getting blurry.
"Move her out!", a dragon said, as my hearing went muffled
I felt darkness taking over me as I felt my ankles being gripped and I was starting to be dragged away from where I fell. I tried to reach for my sword with my arm, but I couldn't stay awake as I fell into unconsciousness as my hand went limp.
Leo's Pov...
I was growing worried since I have been texting Calli's phone and she hasn't answered any of them. This wasn't like her she would always answer my calls and texts immediately, and I could tell from the looks of it something wasn't right. I got her text from earlier that she was walking out in the tunnels and would be back in two hours, but it's nearly been three hours. Either Calli had gotten lost in the sewers and went too far from where she didn't remember or someone even worse. I decided to go on a search for her as Donnie had programmed a tracking device on all of our phones in case we got separated and I found her signal just a few miles from the lair. I quickly ran through the tunnels following where Calli was getting closer and closer.
"Calli!", I called out "Calli! Calli where are you?!"
Out of the corner of my eye, I looked to see a katana laying just a few feet away. I quickly made my way over and I felt my heart literally sunk as I came upon Calli's broken and crushed cellphone and her katana covered in blood. I immediately pulled out my cell phone and I dialed Donnie. "Leo?", Donnie said
"Donnie! Bring the others, head east towards the emergency escape route! Hurry! There has been an attack!", I said, worriedly
I hung up my phone and placed it back in my belt and I looked around the tunnels seeing if Calli might be near by. "Calli! Callista! Callista where are you?!", I called out
But only the sound of my voice that echoed through the tunnels didn't bring me any answer in return. "Calli...", I said, quietly
"Leo!", someone called out
I heard the sound of my brother Raph calling out to me and I looked back over my shoulder seeing they were getting closer to where I was at.
"Guys over here!", I called out, looking back
My brothers came rushing over and they gasped seeing the sight my eyes laid upon. "It's Calli's phone and sword", Mikey said
"Calli would never leave those behind, not after being in a fight", Raph said, picking it up
"Unless she got dragged off, look", Mikey said, pointing
We saw a trail of blood heading away from the small blood pool down the darkness of the tunnel, under the dim lighting. "Oh god no not this! Not this!", I said, softly, as I looked at the trail with horror
Donnie quickly got down beside me and looked at the pool of blood. "It's still fresh", he said, touching the dry bloodstains on the concrete "The bloodstains have just turned reddish brown, so this mostly likely would have to have happen just 30 minutes ago. Calli must of hit her head when she fell, so she might of been knocked unconscious"
"Who could of done this?!", Raph said, looking around
Only one person came to my mind as I saw little scratch marks scratched into the walls and concrete, which I knew wouldn't have come from Calli. Just right in front of the blood pool I saw a footprint that had three little marks on top of it which would of resembles someone who has claws. An angry glare came to my face as my fist had clenched up tightly and I looked back at my brothers, who were looking around trying to find out anything on Calli's disappearance. "I know who did it!", I said
They stopped and looked at me. "Who Leo?", Donnie asked
"Dragons!", I said, angrily
"No it can't be!", Mikey said, stunned
"But where could they have taken her?", Raph asked "We have no idea or not even a clue where she is"
"Wait look", Mikey said, pointing
We turned and we saw along the sewer wall in the darkness it looked like something was written. "Donnie shine your flashlight", I said
He pulled out one and turned it on and we gasped in horror, seeing how it was a massage written in Calli's own blood. "If you ever want to see your wife and your child again, you come to the Kingsbridge Armory to fight to win her back! You'd best to show up soon, she will not last so long for what will happen!", I said, as I read the massage
I backed up a bit in complete shock from the wall. I was feeling overwhelmed with a multitude full of sadness, grief, anger, and confusion. "Oh my god! Calli", I said, softly
"Why those leather scaled fire breathing freaks?!", Raph said, angrily
"They are going to kill her if we do show up!", Donnie said, terrified
"But we barely made it out of the last fight we had with them, who knows what they will do to us this time", Mikey said
"Well no fire breathing dragon is going to hurt my sister and I don't do nothing about it", Raph said, seriously "We are going after them! If they want a fight so be it!"
"But we can't, we can't go there!", Mikey said, worried
"Raph is right we have to!", I said, determined, hitting my hand in my fist "And we must!"
Calli's Pov...
I groaned as my head was pounding hard as I was starting to fully regain consciousness. I didn't remember what happened after coming face to face with the dragons again, but all I could remember was being hit hard in the back of the head and I blacked out. I tried to reach my hand up to rub my head, but I couldn't for some reason. I tugged on my hand trying to pull it up, but it wouldn't budge. My eyes scrunched open and I saw that I was no longer in the tunnels of the sewer and I looked to see I was on a cold hard metal table and leather straps were bounding me to it. I looked at my surroundings seeing I was in some kind of scientific laboratory, similar like Donnie's, but more advanced. "What the shell?!", I said, completely stunned and confused
I began struggling against my bounds to get free, grunting, but it seemed to be no use as I couldn't even move one thing. I then heard laughter in the room as I looked around frightened. "Alright! Whoever you are?! Show yourself!", I said, glaring angrily
"Gladly", someone said
A man stepped out from the shadows as he adjusted a red rubber glove on his left hand, looking at me with an evil smile. I glared in returned as he came closer towards me on the table. He had an Einstein resemblance looking to him, with snow white growing out from the sides of his head with many wrinkles covering his face, and some kind of weird device that seemed to be implanted in his skull. He had one a dark blue doctor's outfit and yellow cream lab coat over it. I then recognized it was the same scientist that was kidnapped that we saw on the news earlier. "Dr. Quease?", I said, stunned "What are you doing?"
"Oh my, unbelievable, I mean look at you. I'm a hard one to impress, but this is", he said, laughing "I never thought this would ever happen, and I was going to go through all that work to create antidotes"
"For what?!", I said, gritting my teeth furiously
He looked at me with surprise. "Say that again, I want to hear your voice", he said
"For what?!", I said, again growling lowly
"Wow, well we have this plan. A plan that we are going to use to not only build the strength of Dragon Lord's army, but to use whats inside of you to create a new chemical with your most precious compound, mutagen, that I am going to sell all over the world to create antidotes for all kinds of diseases. I'm going to be rich, like stupid rich. I will become the most famous scientist in the world and Dr. Quease will be remember as a god", he said
"You are crazy! No actually insane! Completely insane!", I said, glaring while struggling hard "You are no hero! You are nothing but a lie!"
"Oh, and...don't worry about your little one", he said "It will be a good experiment to dissect on to extract more of its precious compound you possess, before it will come a snack for Dragon Lord"
I looked at him with wide eyes of what he wanted to do to my baby and I began growling showing my teeth with my fists clenched so hard."If you dare lay a finger on my baby, I swear I will murder you", I said, glaring "Even though its against the ninjas creed, I'm not afraid to do it to you to protect my child"
"Oho quite the feisty one you are", he said, walking towards me "Well it looks like I am going to get the last laugh one this one, such a pity"
As his hand touched the table beside my head, I quickly whipped my head and clamped my teeth down on his hand biting him. He yelped in pain as I began shaking my head digging my teeth deeper and deeper through the rubber of his glove as he struggled to free it. "Let go you little whipper snapper!", he said, struggling
"Over this turtle's cold dead shell!", I said, mumbling digging my teeth more into his hand
I began shaking my head side to side faster and faster, refusing to let go. But Quease did a move I didn't expect coming. He pulled out a taser from his lab coat pocket and he zapped me in my side causing me to let go of his hand as I screamed in pain. I jolted a few times trying to recover from the shock, and I was relieved to know I felt my baby moving on my left side away from the taser struck me on my right, that it wasn't harmed. Quease was moaning in pain as he gripped the hand I bite down on, then he looked at me with a cold look.
"You have broken the skin on my hand you mutant vandal!", he said, holding his hand, seeing my teeth marks deeply punctured in his hand
"Oh what a shame, too bad it wasn't your face!", I said, glaring
He glared and he shook his hand as he walked over towards a control panel. "You stupid little girl, now you will get what is coming to you!", he said
He pushed a red button, that lit up, then I felt the needles sucking against my wrists like a vacuum cleaner. I looked over through clear tubes seeing dark red blood coming out and was following into a huge metal canister. "I will drain every last ounce of your blood to get what I want, even if it kills you and your child!"
"You won't get away this!", I said, struggling even harder
"Oh but I already have", he said, smirking "Time to tell the lord that his meal will be ready very soon"
He walked away laughing evilly and I knew I had just to escape and get out of here. I saw the canister filling up with my blood slowly and I began struggling to get loose from the straps, groaning and grunting, trying to use my strength to break free. I just hoped that Leo and my family would get here in time before it would be too late to save me and the baby from certain death.
Leo's Pov...
As my family and I surrounded Dragon Lord's hideout at the Kingsbridge Armory, I looked around a column as I saw a few soldiers guarding the entrance and two on top of a second story overhang. I then looked across at Raph and Donnie on the other side of another column with Mikey hiding behind me. "Donnie, what's Calli's location?", I asked, softly
Donnie looked up on a scanner he had just created as it scanned the hideout from a distance."I found her! I got her location!", he said "She is on the second floor, west side, third door down on the right"
"How are we going to get in?", Mikey asked
I looked over at Raph. "Raph, you up to using those smoke bombs that we tried out today?", I asked
"Oh yeah, you read my mind", he said, smirking
We each got a smoke bomb from our belts and we both looked over at the dragon soldiers guarding the hideout, then I looked back at Raph. "On my count, one, two, three go!", I said
We threw the smoke bombs in different directions with one heading up to the second floor and one heading down towards the doors. They landed perfectly on target and they released clouds of white smoke. My brothers and I moved in at the right moment and we began beating up the blinded dragons. Donnie and Mikey climbed up to the second floor to deal with the dragons guarding the overhang while Raph and I dealt with the ones below. As soon as the clouds of smoke cleared up, we made a pile of unconscious dragon soldiers. "Well that was rather fun", Raph said, brushing off his hands "I do hope there is more"
"Come on, let's move", I said
I opened the door quietly and I peeked my head inside and I quickly somersaulted into the shadows. I gave a hand signal to the others and they quickly followed inside hiding in different directions. We came into a long narrow room with a huge ceiling with red columns with golden dragons on them with fire torches hanging from metal clasps, a long red carpet with gold lining along the edges, and in the center of the room was a giant throne that was made of red velvet and pure gold. We began sneaking closer and closer inside making sure we didn't run into anymore dragons. But we then heard a door opening and closing and I gave another hand signal out. "Now!", I said, silently yelling
Mikey first jumped out whirling his pair of tonfa, then Donnie cartwheeled out beside him spinning his bo staff in his hands. Next Raph somersaulted out in front of him stabbing his sai's, then I came out by front flipping slicing my sword in a fighting stance. We then heard familiar evil laughter fill the huge throne room we were in as we looked around trying to find out where the laughter was coming from. "Turtles, I'm so glad you accepted my invitation", a voice said
"What have you done to Callista?!", I yelled
"Now that you are, you are about to witness her and the child's...demise", he said
"You fool! Do you have any idea what you are doing?!", I yelled
Out of nowhere, I felt a heavy boot kick me in my shoulder hard as I rolled a few feet away stopping on my knees. The Dragon Lord then appeared jumping in from out of the shadows with his huge sword drawn. Raph and Mikey helped me get to my feet as I stood up in a fighting stance. "Yes, I'm taking back what's mine and I'm going to use you all to help me get it!", he said
"Where is my wife?!", I said, angrily
"Oh she is being well taken care of by my new assistant", he said, laughing evilly "Once I drain every ounce of her blood to have her gift, I will enhance my soldiers and myself and we will become nothing, but almighty and powerful! And I will destroy you all after I finish dining on your once precious wife and child"
I glared and growled at him stepping forward with my sword tight in my grasps, not believing they were dead. "You lie!", I yelled
"Do I?", he said, answering in an intimidating tone
I heaved out heavy breathes as the anger inside of me boiled up to breaking point. I felt my face flush red as my knuckles turned chalk white from gripping my sword so tightly. I screamed as I ran at him and he roared as he ran at me, our swords clashed hard against the sharp blades and I kept slicing my sword against his with such speed and intensity, making him walk backwards as I grunted with each swing. I then screamed as I jumped high and I roundhouse kicked him in the chest, sending him crashing into the stairs that lead up to his throne, breaking them. He slowly got to his hands and knees glaring at me and my family.
"Dragons! Destroy the freaks!", he yelled
Dragons soldiers came out of nowhere blocking every direction possible surrounding us. Many came jumping down from a few stories up as they landed on the ground as they raced towards my family. They began fighting them off taking care of them, as I faced Dragon Lord again and held him up by his cape jerking him up towards me, glaring furiously. "Where...is...Callista?", I asked, darkly
"You will never reach her in time", he said "She is probably already dead"
"Not on my shell she isn't!", I said, throwing him away from my sight
I took off running as I kicked a few dragon soldiers away from me. "Guys we got to find Calli!", I called out
"You and Raph go find Calli! Mikey and I will hold them off! Go!", Donnie called out, as he whacked a dragon with his staff
"Leo let's go!", Raph called out
I took off running behind him as we left the throne room, leaving to find where ever it is that they are holding Calli and our baby, hoping we were not too late to save them.
Calli's Pov...
Unconscious was starting to take over me as I started feeling my body shutting down from the blood draining. I felt my heart beat slowing down at a dangerous rate. I looked over and saw my blood filing up to the top in the canister beside me as my breathing started speeding up to try and keep myself alive. I looked back up and saw Dr. Quease coming back as he looked at my bump and I struggled profusely to get free. "Don't you dare! I will kill you!", I said, panting hard
"It's no use trying to escape, you are too weak to with that amount of blood I'm draining from you as we speak", Quease said, as he looked over at me "In the interests of science I would appreciate it if you would tell me how much this will hurt you!"
I whimpered frightened as I struggled to get free once more as he held the scalpel in his hand as the blade was about to touch my plastron. "No! No! No! Help! Leo!", I screamed
But to my relief I heard the sound of the heavy lab doors smash open before Dr. Quease could of made the first cut on my plastron. He gasped and looked back as I looked over shocked, seeing my husband Leo and my older brother Raph. "Stop! You get your hands off of my wife and child!", Leo said, angrily
"Leo! Raph!", I said, weakly
"My goodness there is more of you!", Quease said, surprised
"Let my little sister go!", Raph said, glaring
"You take one step and she and the child die!", he said, as he held the scalpel against my bump
I gasped frightened and I struggled one last time and I was able to get my one wrist free from the strap on the table, and I knocked the scalpel out from Quease's grip and threw it away. I then grabbed his wrist and twisted it hard to the right. He yelled in pain as you could hear the bones cracking as he held his wrist and Leo ran at him unsheathing his sword and kicked him in the chest making him crash into a desk and went after him. I heard screaming and yelling from a distance, but then I felt myself getting dizzy from my attack and my head fell back against the table. "Callista!", Raph yelled
I looked over weakly and I saw him come running over and he lifted my head up as he looked at me worried. "Are you okay?", he asked
I nodded weakly as I moaned in pain. "Hold on, stay still!", he said
He took out his sai and he had cut my straps around my shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet free. He started taking out my needles in my wrists that were the ones taking my blood supply out of my body. He wrapped a thick blanket around me then carefully picked me up in his arms, holding me close to him. "Just hold on Calli, I'll get you out of here", he said, looking down at me
"Okay Raph", I said, softly with my head laid on his chest weakly
He ran with me in his arms out of the lab, and all I could see and hear through my blurry vision and muffled hearing was dragons fighting against my two younger brothers Donnie and Mikey. The dragon soldiers were being knocked in different directions, some hitting the walls and others against pillars, making spider crack craters. I tried looking around slowly for my husband Leo, but he was nowhere in sight.
"Leo", I called out, faintly
"Guys lets go! I got her!", Raph called out
Donnie and Mikey each had kicked one last dragon away as they crashed on to the floor, then came running towards me and Raph. We took off running out of the building and I kept looking around, still trying to find Leo. As we came up towards the jeep, I looked up at Raph. "Raphael where is Leo? We can't leave without him", I said, faintly
"He is coming Calli, he will make it back", he said, looking down at me
I looked back towards the building, waiting anxiously for Leo to return and I was starting to worry as I didn't see what seemed like the longest time. But then I saw my loving and brave husband come running out of the doors, with the Dragon Lord blowing fire at him, which he ducked just in time. "This isn't over at yet! We will have our revenge and destroy you!", he yelled, as he roared loudly
He continued running as I looked at him relieved and he came rushing to me. "Leo", I said, weakly
"Calli, baby!", he said, running up to me
He took me into his arms from Raph as he held me close. I hugged him weakly around his neck as I started crying into his neck. "Oh honey, I was so worried!", I said, frightened
"It's okay Calli, I'm right here", Leo said, kissing my cheek affectionately "We need to get you home, let's move!"
The others started climbing into the jeep as Leo carried me in the back, holding me to him. Mikey got in the drivers seat and he floored the gas pedal as we went storming down the road with Raph trailing behind on his motorcycle. I started shivering badly in Leo's arms freezing from the blood loss and felt my whole body was giving up on me. "Calli are you okay?", Leo asked, looking scared
I couldn't answer him as I felt my vision becoming dark and Leo looked at me with more fear as he started shaking me. "Calli! Stay awake! Please! You will be okay, you will be...you will be", he said, as my hearing muffled
My eyes had closed as I fell into unconsciousness with my head falling against Leo. I'm not so sure how long I was unconscious for, but I felt myself coming around and I heard voices getting louder and louder. "Calli, Calli, Calli", someone said, softly
My head shook around as I groaned in pain, with my eyes fluttering open. I saw the worried faces of my family as I looked back weakly confused of what was going on. "Guys", I said, faintly "What happened?"
"Oh Calli!", Leo said, hugging me close "You are awake, we were so worried about you!"
"What's going on?", I asked "Where am I?"
"You are home Calli, you are in the lab", Donnie said, sitting beside me "You went unconscious from the blood loss and we had to rush you home, you nearly lost about more than half of your blood"
"I did?", I asked
"Yeah Leo and I donated some of our blood to you just to stabilize you", Raph said
"Thank you", I said, weakly
"How do you feel sissy?", Mikey asked
"I feel so weak", I said
"It will take awhile for your heart and body to start functioning normally again, but all in all you will be okay", Donnie said
"I can't believe that they did that", I said
"I don't think they knew what they were doing, expect trying to kill you", Donnie said
"Good thing we stopped those fire breathers and that wacko scientist before they could", Raph said
I tried sitting up as Leo helped me up and I rubbed my forehead. "Oh my god, I feel like roadkill", I said
"How do you think we feel? We barely managed to defeat this time", Mikey said, rubbing his shoulder
But then my attention turned towards my baby bump and I felt my heart drop, remembering about Quease trying to do that C-section on me to take out my baby. "Wait! The baby! Is it okay?! Is it hurt?! We need to know its okay!", I said
"We had to wait until you were stabilized with blood supply before we could of done the ultrasound", Donnie said "We will check now"
"Please hurry, it could be hurt or even worse!", I said, terrified
"I'm hurrying Calls, I'm hurrying", Donnie said, rushing to get everything ready
"Oh god", I said, rubbing my face with my hands, feeling so scared and guilty for what has happened
Donnie had squeezed on some of the blue gel on my lower plastron and he placed the wand on my bump. Leo had took my hand in his own as Donnie had found the baby's heartbeat where it was laying down inside.
"Is it okay?", I asked, frightened
I waited impatiently as Donnie moved the wand on my bump checking for any complications that the baby might have after that whole torture I just went through. Leo's hand around mine gripped tighter as we waited in fear, hoping the worst wasn't yet to come. Donnie then turned to us and looked at us with a smile. "Don't worry its just fine", he said
I let out a heavy breath of relief and my head fell back on the pillow and I felt Leo pressed his hand on my bump in the other on my shoulder, sighing in relief as well. "Oh thank god", I said, rubbing my face with my hands
"Oh Calli", Leo said, bringing me into a tight hug
I hugged him tightly in return, feeling so relieved that the baby wasn't harmed by the major blood loss I had or the C-section they were trying to do on me. "Oh if they had killed the baby, I wouldn't know what I would do", I said, shaking
"It's okay Calli", Leo said, stroking the back of my head "The baby is alright, it's just fine"
Leo slowly released me and I sighed feeling guilty for what has happened, looking down. "Calls what's wrong?", Mikey asked "Are you okay?"
"I'm sorry you guys", I said, shaking my head "I knew that they were out there somewhere and like the foolish one I was being again I lead you all into danger and nearly got myself and the baby killed"
"Hey don't get yourself down about this sis", Raph said, rubbing my shoulder "You had no idea that they were even there in the sewers"
"Yeah but still", I said "If I had been quick and smart enough, maybe then I would of gotten away and this probably wouldn't have had happened"
I felt a hand touching mine and I looked to see Leo. "Calli, it's okay", he said "It was just an accident and all that matters is you and the baby are safe and you are back home with all of us"
I sighed softly, but then nodded understandingly. "You are right", I said "That is all that matters"
"I think you have been through enough for one day", Donnie said "I think its best if you get some rest"
"That is a concept I'm willing to oblige to", I said
"Good, I'll have to check your vitals in the morning, making sure you are fully recovered", he said
"Thank you, all of you", I said, looking at everyone
"Don't mention sis, it's what we do best", Raph said, smiling down at me
I smiled up towards him and the others started to leave the lab, leaving me and Leo alone. I yawned softly and I stretched my arms above my head. "Are you tired honey?", he asked
I nodded. "Yeah I'm really exhausted", I said, yawning once again
"Here let's get you to bed", he said, picking me up gently bridal style in his arms
I sighed in content as I felt the warmth of Leo's arms surrounding me with comfort. I laid my head on his shoulder and my eyes closed with my arms wrapped around his neck. Leo gently kissed my forehead as he started carrying me out of the lab towards our bedroom for the night. I heard the sound of the door creaking open as I then felt the cool softness of our bed along my body as I sunk into the mattress.
My eyes opened up as I saw Leo taking off his bandanna and placing it on his nightstand and he walked over to our sword rack hanging on a wall in our room and he placed my newly clean katana on wooden hooks. I proceeded to do the same as I took of my bandanna, undoing my braid as I placed it beside me on my nightstand and I fluffed up my pillows. I got underneath the covers getting myself comfortable, but as I got into a good position, I felt a strong kick in the front of my plastron, causing me to flinch. Leo seemed to have seen my sudden movement as he looked at me with concern.
"Is the little squirt kicking?", he asked
I giggled and I flinched again. "Yep, kicking just like Daddy", I said, smiling
"Hmmmm", Leo said
Leo took his sword out from his sheaths behind his shell and placed it on the rack. He walked over towards me and climbed into bed beside me. He carefully laid his head on top of my bump, with his arm hugging around my waist slightly. Leo's brown eyes closed as he listened closely to our unborn child's heartbeat and his head snuggled more into my plastron. I smiled stroking the back of his neck as he gave a gentle kiss on the center of my bump.
I giggled quietly as I felt the baby kick once again, making Leo's head flinch back in surprise. "Ooh, I felt that one", I said, giggling
"So did I", Leo said, chuckling "Got me right in the ear"
"I have a feeling that it's going to be doing that for quite some time now", I said, smiling
Leo chuckled and he gave a few pecks on where the baby kicked his head. "Leo?", I asked
"Mmmm?", he asked, looking up at me
"Do you catch yourself wondering what it will be? Or...or even what it will look like or be like?", I asked, curiously
Leo chuckled and smiled gently. "Sometimes I do", he said "I'm thinking its personality winds up being more like yours"
"What makes you say that?", I asked
Leo smiled. "Just a father's instinct", he said "They say the first child is usually the most likely to go the extra mile in learning, they are most creative, and very smart"
"I didn't know that", I said, surprised "Wow and I was the first born in my family"
"Well you are very smart, creative, fun, and most of all a fast learner", Leo said, smiling up to me "So that means it's mostly likely going to end up being just like you"
"Oh Leo that's very sweet of you", I said, hugging him around his neck giving his cheek a kiss
Leo chuckled. "Do you think it will be a boy or a girl?", Leo asked
"Well that I am okay for whatever we might have", I said "It doesn't matter whether we have a son or a daughter, as long as its born healthy"
"Me too, that's all I care about", he said "I just don't think I can wait much longer"
I giggled. "Oh neither can I LeoBear, but it will be worth it when the day comes", I said, stroking my bump
"It will be, I can't wait", Leo said
Leo then started kissing all over my bump as I giggled from his lips tickling me. I flinched a few times as he kissed a few certain spots and even the baby was flinching and kicking around as if it was being tickled like me. "Leo you are going to make this baby pop out of me!", I said, laughing
"Well that means it will be here with us finally", he said, teasing me chuckling
He continued to shower affectionate kisses all over my bump as I struggled and shifted. "Leo stop it! I think I'm going to explode!", I said, giggling uncontrollably
Leo gave one last huge kiss on my bump and I shrieked with laughter. I fell back on the bed giggling as I tried regaining my breath. "Leo you can be the biggest goof I swear!", I said, panting
He climbed over me as he smirked down at me. "Well you bring it out in me", he said, teasing
I giggled and I gave his shoulder a playful punch. Leo brought his lips down towards mine as he kissed me passionately. I moaned softly as I kissed him back and my arms wrapped tightly around his neck as he pulled me up to him with his arms around my shell. I sat down on top of his lap with my legs straddling around his waist. Our lips danced seductively against each others with my lips pressed hard against his and my bump pushed up against his plastron.
"I love you so much", Leo said, moaning deeply
"I love you so much too, I can't imagine life without you", I said, panting hard
"Don't worry I'm not going anywhere, not anytime soon", he said, pulling me into another kiss
"Good to hear", I said, kissing him sweetly
We kissed for a few more moments passionately before we both ran out of breath and pulled quickly apart. We both slowly caught our breathes as we looked at each other in the eyes lovingly. I felt the baby kick us both and we both chuckled as we looked down at my bump. "I think it might want one too", I said
"Okay little guy you get one too", Leo said
Leo leaned down and he placed his hands on my bump and kissed it lovingly. I yawned tiredly as I rubbed my face with my hand. "Mmmmmm well it certainly has been an insane day don't you think?", I asked "I think I'm ready to hit the sack"
"Yeah me too, it's been crazy", he said "We should get some sleep"
"Good idea", I said
I laid back in bed as Leo climbed over the side of me and I cuddled up close to him. He kissed my forehead gently as he covered me with the blanket. "Good night Calli", Leo said, gently
"Good night Leo", I said, softly
I curled up beside him in a fetal position as he wrapped his arm around me in a protective hold and he placed his one hand on my bump gently, rubbing it. I smiled placing my hand beside his as my eyes began fluttering close, looking down at my growing bump. Happy that my baby and I was safe and out of harms way and we were now in the loving and warm arms of my husband, Leonardo. "By the way Leo?", I asked
"Yeah Calli?", he asked
"Whatever did happen to Quease?", I asked, looking up at him
"Oh don't worry about him, I took care of him, he won't want to mess with us again", he said, chuckling
Quease's Pov...
I had fully regained conscious as I sat up seeing the mass carnage that was surrounding me. The one other turtle was quite the fast one and had nearly had beaten the life out of me. I had gotten to my feet and I had surveyed the severe damage caused by those two troublesome mutants. I had seen that the female had escaped where I was about extract the infant out of her before they had shown up to dissect of its freshly made compound.
I then looked at my extractor and I gasped and ran to it seeing the freshly drained mutagen from the female was smashed on the floor. It must of been from that one turtle who attacked me with the sword. It had covered all over the floor and I knew it couldn't be used as research for my study and use of Dragon Lord and his minions for strength and power. My one chance of making history had slipped from my grasp as my hands went through the broken glass and blood, trying to not realize that my dream was now gone. "No, no, no, no my dream! My one chance of making history and becoming rich gone!", I said, in agony
I then felt something grip me from my lab coat and I looked to see the angry face of Dragon Lord close towards mine. "And your only chance of destroying the turtles and betraying me! I'll shall make a meal out of you!", he said, angrily
"Oh please please Dragon Lord it won't happen again majesty I promise you", I said, begging
He released me on the ground as he continued to glare at me. "If you break that promise", he said, as he held the canister that possessed the mutant's blood in his grasp
He crushed it in his metal hand and claws making it become bits of scrap that fell to the floor. "I understand...master", I said, gulping fear
