Calli's Pov...
I came out from my bedroom after cleaning it up some. It was a nice quiet night in the lair, and we were free from patrol for the night since there hasn't been much activity going on up in the streets above. I walked out into the living room and saw my little girl Ellie, on her colorful butterfly and flower blanket sitting, with her blocks, play keys, rattle and stuffed turtle that Leo gave to her.
In her hands she was holding her little rainbow rings, a blue in right and a green in her left as the others were on a rack. She cooed shaking them as they rattled giggling. I smiled at her adoringly, seeing how she was already growing up so fast. It's only been a week since I have had my daughter and she is already began to sit up on her own and interact. Even though it was still a long way to go before she would do other things, but already seeing what she is doing made me feel proud as a mother.
"Hey Ellie", I said, sitting down in front of her smiling "My little angel"
Ellie cooed as she held a blue ring in her hands while sucking on it, looking up at me. "You playing with your rings?", I asked
I then heard the sound of the manhole cover opening up as someone was coming in. "Who is home Ellie? Who is home?", I said, happily
Ellie then immediately smiled as she began to coo. "Is Daddy home? Is Daddy home?", I asked
She then began cooing more as I heard the manhole cover closing and steps coming down the ladder. "Who's home? Is Daddy home sweetie?", I said, as Ellie smiled up to me cutely
I then heard footsteps hit the ground. "Hey, hey, hey", Leo said
Ellie then stopped sucking on her ring as she began looking around as she heard Leo's voice. "Did you hear Daddy?", I said
She then smiled widely as she began to coo excitedly. "Where's Daddy?", I said
Ellie then dropped her ring as she held out her arms looking around for Leo as she cooed. I then looked over at the lair entrance as I saw Leo come walking down the stairs, smiling. He then looked over and smiled more as he saw me and Ellie. "Oh hey munchkin", he said, looking at our daughter
She then began scooting forward on her legs reaching up to him with her little arms shaking rapidly, cooing happily. "Oh hi", Leo said, picking up Ellie under her arms and lifting her up in the air
"How's my little princess?", he asked, as he kissed her cheek bringing her back down on his arm
"Are you happy to see Daddy Ellie? Are you happy? Yeah", I asked, as Ellie looked down at me smiling
Leo chuckled as he kissed her temple, then I rolled up to my feet. "Hi", I said, smiling wrapping my arm around his neck
"Hey beautiful", he said
We gave each other a deep kiss with Leo's hand around my head. "How was your stroll?", I asked
"Oh it was okay, very quiet, nothing to it", he said, smiling softly
"Good to hear", I said
"How was Ellie?", he asked
"Oh she was just perfect, and I found out she is like you in so many ways", I said
"Oh really how so?", he asked, curiously
"Well she has your same sleeping positions when I went to check up on her during her nap. She does your same waking up routine, stretching out a arm yawning while rubbing her face, and she does not allow me to touch her turtle you gave her", I said, giggling getting my tea from the coffee table
"Wow quite the shock she does all those things", he said, chuckling "Who knew?"
"Like father, like daughter", I said, giggling
We both laughed lightly, but suddenly we felt a rumble pass through the lair. It made almost everything vibrate and shake, even it made me almost lose my footing as I fell back a bit, catching myself, but then it suddenly stopped.
"Woah that was weird", I said
"Yeah that was, wonder what it could of been", Leo said
Just then Raph came out of from the hallway that lead from our rooms. "Hey Raph", we both said
"What was that noise?", he asked "Everything in the whole lair was shaking, I stopped to see if Mikey was having hunger pains again"
"Maybe there is construction going up the streets?", Leo said
"They finished paving the road last week", Donnie said, walking out from the lab "But that was some shake"
"You guys just feel that?", Mikey asked, coming from his room
"Yeah just now yes", I said "It felt very strong"
"Maybe it's a thunderstorm?", Mikey said
"There was not a cloud for miles when I'm up topside this morning and when I went on a walk this afternoon", I said
"We should probably check it out", Leo said
We started to head up through the manhole as we climbed up into the sewer tunnels. I then heard the same rumbling sound coming from the far end of the tunnel. "It's coming from over there", I said, pointing down the tunnel
We followed the sound as we walked down the dark and damp tunnel, with only a few lights hanging from the ceiling lighting up our way. "There should be something down here that's causing that noise", Donnie said
But we then reached the end of the tunnel that lead to a dead end. "This is mind boggling", I said, walking up to the dead end touching the wall "What is making that noise?"
We suddenly felt the walls, floors, and ceiling beginning to shake terribly. "Woah earthquake!", Mikey said
"Is that even possible?", I asked
"In New York?", Donnie said "Possible but not likely"
Suddenly bits of the ceiling came crashing down. We jumped out of the way before a bunch of ceiling came plummeting down on us. "Look!", I called out
Suddenly a small mechanical robot came chomping through the walls of the sewer, hissing like feral cats. They snapped their jaws at us as more of them ran out from the walls. "What are those things?", Leo asked, as the boys pulled out their weapons
"New York city cockroaches?", Mikey said
"Not even close", I said
"Whatever they are they picked the wrong party to crash!", Raph said, as he kicked one of the monster's on to its back
It kicked its legs unable to get back up like a bug. Donnie smashed them with his bo staff while Mikey and Leo sliced and crashed them. I suddenly felt something cold up against my leg and I turned to see one of the monsters try to bite at my leg. I jumped back shrieking as I began to run as a few monsters began to chase me up to the dead end in the sewer walls. Ellie began to cry as the monsters began to chomp and inch closer and closer towards us, surrounding us.
One tried to chomp at me as I kicked it away with my foot as it landed in the sewer river as I held my daughter close to me backing up. "Leo!", I called out
He quickly whipped around and gasped as he saw me and Ellie in trouble as we were being backed up more and more against the wall. "We have to help Callista! Come on!", he called out
The boys began to rush over towards me as they attacked a few more of the monsters. As I waited for the boys I kept kicking at the monsters trying to keep my daughter out of reach from their snapping jaws. "Calls watch out!", Raph called out
He threw his sai's at the two monsters in front of me as they exploded in front of me. Donnie came rushing in knocking the one on the left end sweeping it away knocking into the wall. Mikey then grabbed the other one on the right and tossed it in the air knocked it in pieces with his tonfa. Leo then came rushing as he wrapped an arm around me as he lead me away. "I got you honey, let's go", he said
I did notice was that some of the monsters were making the ceiling crumble, making a thick wall come crashing. "Look out!", I called out
The boys heard my cry and they came rushing back as the ceiling caved in. Leo pulled me out of harm's way as he pulled me to him before any chunks of debris fell on me as the boys landed on the ground. I panted regain my breath as I looked back at where I was just standing mere moments ago. "Well that was certainly, scary", I said
"Are you alright?", Leo asked, worriedly
"I am okay honey", I said
He then hugged Ellie towards his chest hushing her as she whimpered. "It's okay Ellie, you are okay, we are all here honey", he said
Ellie began to settle down as I held her close to me and kissed the back of her head. "What the heck just happened?", I asked
"What the shell are those things?", Mikey asked, looking at a damaged monster
Raph noticed one of the robots was still moving and he stomped on top of it, destroying it completely. "Whatever they were", Raph said, kicking it away "They're junk now"
"My word, they caused some damage", I said
"These walls are seriously compromised", Donnie said, looking at a destroyed wall
"Look let's just get back to the lair, who knows how many more of those things are here", Leo said "I prefer we don't stick around and wait if more will show up"
"That sounds sensible", I said "Let's move out"
We began to walk through a large opening that led us down a creepy and smelly looking tunnel. The ceiling dripped with sewage water and the metal claws of those robot things were imprinted and cracked into the ground. "Looks like those things have been through here too", Leo said
The pipes on the walls were practically destroyed and fractured. "It's lucky this wall hasn't caved in yet", Donnie said, as we approached a wall of broken ceiling bricks in our path
"You were saying", Raph said
"We can't go forward and we can't go back", Leo said
"So what do we do now?", I asked, looking up at him
"Looks like we go up", Raph said, walking up to the nearest manhole ladder was about to climb up
"Hitting the surface is not a good idea", Leo said, stopping him
"We've got no other way to go Leo", Donnie said
"He does have a point Leonardo, there is no way around the rubble and it's the only way we will get back home", I said "I know its a risk to everyone of us, but its something we have to face. We got to take a chance"
"Besides it's dark out, it will be easier to get across", Mikey said "Hardly one will be out and we will be invisible the entire time"
Leo sighed then shook his head. "Alright fine, but we are only going up to go down the next manhole got it? No fooling around. We get there as quickly as possible and head back down. Calli and Ellie will be easy targets for any potential threats, so we need to not draw attention to ourselves and stay out of sight", Leo said
"We got it in the first thousand times Leo", Raph said, annoyed
"Boys now is not the time for arguing we are in a dire situation right now", I said
"Listen to the lady", Mikey said
"Thanks", I said, giggling
"Just follow my lead", Raph said, as he began climbing up the ladder
"I'll go up and make sure it's safe for Ellie", Leo said
"Be careful honey", I said
Leo began to climb up the ladder behind Raph as Donnie, Mikey, Ellie and I waited in the sewers below to wait for the all clear from Leo. Leo then popped his head down through the manhole cover, as I looked up to him.
"All clear?", I asked
"So far", he said "Here hand me up Ellie"
I kissed her forehead gently and I handed up Ellie towards her father. He took a hold of her and hugged her closely to him as he ran back disappearing from my view. "Alright guys let's head up", I said, looking back at my brothers
I started climbing up the ladder as I made my way up. I peeked my head out looking around to make sure it was clear before making my way out. "Come on Calli move it, I don't want be starring up at your butt any longer than I have to", Mikey said
I quickly planted my heel into his face. "Oof!", he said, falling off the ladder back into the sewers
"Nice one Calls", Raph said, snickering softly
"Shh! Guys!", Leo said
Raph jumped back quickly up against the wall hiding in the shadows and Leo ducked behind a dumpster holding Ellie close to him, as I hid back down in the sewers as a car went driving by. I glanced back up and climbed out of the sewers hiding quickly beside Leo. "You okay?", he asked
"Never better", I said
He carefully handed me back Ellie as I held her close as Donnie and Mikey climbed out of the sewers and they hid in the shadows on the opposite wall. I turned my head to see Raph was completely gone from his spot. "Donnie! Where is Raphael?", I called out, quietly
"He is over there", he said, pointing across the street
We kept close to the walls as a large truck went rushing down the road. "Let's go", Leo said, softly
Donnie and Mikey were the first to leave as they zig zag jumped across the walls as they landed on the rooftop above us. They then began to walk along an electric wire as they then flipped down as they got to the end and landed in the alley with Raph. "Wow that was good", I said, impressed
"How do you want to go along with it?", Leo asked
"Wanna go for the sling shot?", I asked
"Sounds like a plan", he said
"Just not too high this time", I said, nudging my head down referring to Ellie
"Right, so you wanna do it?", he asked
"Let's go for it", I said "Be the safest move"
"Alright get into position", he said
Leo scooted up towards the edge of the shadows as I moved myself behind him, waiting for the right moment to run out. Leo then somersaulted out into the street with his legs standing up in the air then I ran out, making sure to hold Ellie tight to me as I jumped and I sprung off from Leo's feet flying into the air, then I felt Leo grip my ankles flying up with me as we went down towards the alley, with Leo landing on his feet then he caught me and Ellie bridal style. "Nice catch", I said, giving him a smile
"No problem", Leo said, chuckling
He set me down as Raph opened up the manhole cover. "Come on", he said, looking back at us
We each climbed inside as Leo was the last one in and he closed the manhole cover. "Phew we made it", Raph said
"That was too close for comfort", Donnie said
"I agree, lucky we made it through without being seen", I said
"Come on, the lair is just down this south side, we should make it back", Leo said
We continued our walk through the sewers to the lair. But it wasn't long until we heard the sound of medal being crushed. We hid up against the wall as Leo moved up in front and he gave us a hand signal that he was going to check it out. I nodded in agreement as he looked around the corner then he quickly looked back towards us. "It's one of those robots again", he whispered
"How many are there?", I asked
"Just the one, though that just means more are near by", Leo said
"We should follow it, see if its close to the lair", Donnie said
We followed quietly around the corner behind him as we followed the robot down the tunnel, keeping a safe distance. We then saw it stop and it began to chew on a pipe line. "Yikes, talk about the Terminator of Living and Nonliving Things", Mikey said
We then started to hear this rumbling sound. "Uh oh, does that mean there are more coming?!", I said
"I don't think so Calli, that sounds like...water", Donnie said
"If I'm not mistaken, is that the sound of rushing water above our heads right now?", I asked
"Well our little robot friend just ate through the pipes support!", Donnie said
The pipe above us began to crack and had huge spouts of water spraying out. "Incoming!", Leo said, blocking me with his shell, holding me to him
The pipe then exploded and sent a rapid river of water over our heads. I ended up falling back on Leo as I floated along him with Ellie in my arms. We were thrown out of the open and pipe and down a waterfall down to a whirlpool. I watched as Donnie used his bo staff to catch himself onto a smaller pipe. "Grab on!", he called out
Mikey grabbed Raph's, then Raph grabbed Leo's, then Leo wrapped his arm tightly around me and Ellie in a firm grip as created a chain. "This is great, now what?", Raph asked
I looked around and I saw a smaller tunnel down towards the edge of the whirlpool, behind the waterfall. "Swing us down", I called out "There is a tunnel down below"
"Okay, one, two, three!", Donnie called out
He pulled out his staff as he swung us back and forth and we went splashing through the waterfall as we landed on the edge of the barrier of the tunnel. "Is everyone alright?", Donnie asked
I shook my bandanna dry from the water. "All good", I said
"Peachy", Raph said, spitting out some water
We continued following the little robot down several tunnels in the sewers. But we saw another one came running up from another tunnel and it began hissing and the one we were following hissed as well and followed it down another tunnel. "What are they doing?", I asked, curiously
"I don't know but something tells me that it's not good", Leo said
We then heard a scream, that sounded like a woman down the tunnel where those robots ran down. "Someone is in trouble!", Donnie said
"Come on!", I said
We unsheathed our weapons as we went running down the tunnel, as we heard the scream again. We then saw a young woman, just a little bit older than myself, with dark brown straight hair with waves at the end with green eyes cornered against a blocked off section of the sewer. Robots had surrounded her, while snapping their jaws at her. She covered her face and screamed in fear again. It wasn't no question to not just do anything and we jumped into action. It wasn't hard for us slicing and crush the robots to nothing but crumbles of smashed metal and electric sparks. I then turned my attention to the woman as she on the ground, panting from the sudden attack and her head turned up towards my own.
I immediately went running towards her to check up on her condition, but her head seemed to be falling as it nearly fell in the water. I caught her head just in time before it did as she looked up to me with a faint smile as her eyes stared into my own. "Thank you", she said, softly
Her head fell against my hand as she went unconscious. "Mam are you okay?", I said, shaking her "Mam?"
I set Ellie down on the concrete beside me as I picked her up in my arms and checked her pulse, relieved that she was still alive. "Is she okay Calli?", Leo asked, picking up Ellie
"I think so, she doesn't look hurt, just passed out", I said
"What do we do now?", Mikey asked
"Well we are certainly not going to leave her out her", I said "That's for sure"
"Wait what about Splinter? We can't bring her back there", Raph asked, in a defensive manner "You know he doesn't want anyone in our home, he would have our shells for this and I rather not spend a full day in the Ha'shi"
"We help those who can't save themselves Raphael", I said "It's our duty as the ninja, we can't leave her out here with those robots crawling around"
"She does have a point", Donnie said "Not to mention the whole wall could cave in on her"
"Yeah Raph it would be cool to have another babe around the lair", Mikey said, grinning
"I know we don't know who she is, but we can't judge her before we know the whole truth", I said "Maybe she might have information on these robots that we would helpful for us. We got to take a chance"
"Unless someone's got a better idea of what to do", Leo said, looking at him with a serious look
He sighed softly. "Okay... fine we will bring her back", Raph said, finally agreeing
I smiled a little relieved. "Good", I said
"I'll carry her", Mikey said, offering
I then held an arm out in front of him stopping him. "Donnie carries her", I said
"Why?", he asked, slightly shocked
"It's because I know he won't be drooling all over her like a Great Dane", I said, cocking an eyebrow
"True", he said, shrugging
Donnie carefully picked up the woman bridal style in his arms as she moaned slightly. "Come on let's get her back to the lair", I said
We made our way back home safely without having to run into any more of those robots hiding in the sewers. We brought April inside the lair and Donnie checked over her, making sure she didn't have any injuries from those robots attacking her. I sat besides the couch as she slept on peacefully with her face smothered in a pillow. "Is she alright?", Leo asked
"Seems like it", I said, looking up at him "Poor girl probably was scared to death"
"Yeah I couldn't imagine being in her place", Leo said, sitting beside me
"It's been a long time since I have actually talked to another human", I said "It feels so strange, even though I have done it before"
"Well I hope she doesn't mind waking up in a sewer full of mutants", Leo said
"You never know hun, she might be nice", I said, shrugging "I mean I was when we first met"
"That's very true", he said, smiling softly "She might be, we will just have to wait and see"
"Come on, let's leave her to rest", I said, getting up from my spot
Leo and I left the living room leaving April to rest from her ordeal. A few hours had gone by and we were doing our normal things around the lair while we waited for April O'Neil to wake up. I had settled Ellie down for the night back in my bedroom as I did my meditation in the dojo. I was in a peaceful state of mind as I relieved the tension that was coursing through my veins from the previous battles with the robots. I felt my spirit drifting and just as I was about to meditate into the Realm of Dreams, I heard a scream. A woman's scream to be exact. I then heard the voices of my brothers and Leo talking and I heard more shrieks. I knew it was probably April O'Neil who had woken up and she was startled by family's appearance.
"What in tarnation?", I said, getting up to my feet
I quickly ran over towards the dojo doors and I peeked my head out and I saw Miss. O'Neil was backed up against the couch looking at my family frightened as they tried to calm her down, but it seemed to have no avail. "What are you?! Get away from me!", she said, terrified
"Hey take it easy toots, jeez probably the loudest one we ever dealt with", Raph said
"Well so much for a friendly greeting", I said, to myself
"Yeah you could say that again", Mikey said, agreeing "It almost made me jump out of my shell"
I sighed and I made my way over as they laughed at Raph's joke. "Alright, alright will you two lay off already?", I said, getting in between them
"Okay come on Callista, you know we were just kidding around", Mikey said
"Well can't you see that this poor girl has already been scared enough for one day in her life", I said, sounding annoyed
I then turned my attention over towards the woman. "You will have to forgive my brothers behavior, they can be obnoxious sometimes around women", I said
"Who are you?", she asked, sounding a bit frightened "What do you want from me?"
"Easy now easy, we are not who you think we are Miss. O'Neil", I said, gently sitting down beside her "We are an ally, you don't need to be afraid of us"
"What happened? Where am I?", she asked, sitting up
"You are in our home", I said "We had to rush you back to safety, those robots nearly killed you, how are you feeling?"
"I hurt a little bit from that fall", she said, rubbing her arm "I fell through a manhole cover when they were chasing me"
"You didn't break or fracture anything, that's the good thing", I said "We gave you some pain killers awhile back, you will still hurt awhile, but you will be fine"
"That batch was even more challenging than the last one we faced", Raph said
"Yeah they nearly chomped us into pieces", Mikey said
"You faced them before?", she asked, stunned
"Just not awhile ago, we heard them burrowing through the walls and then that is when they attacked us", I said
"Did any of them hurt you?", she asked, concerned
"Almost, but no", I said "Thank goodness"
I then heard the sound of soft coos and my head turned and I saw Donnie come walking in with my daughter Ellie in his arms. "I heard her crying, I think she wanted you", he said
"Oh thank you Donnie", I said, getting up walking over
I took Ellie from his arms as I held her close to me, rubbing her shell as I kissed her forehead. As I turned back to sit down April was looking at my daughter with worry as she cooed looking at her.
"How old is the baby?", she asked, concerned
"She is barely a week", Donnie said
"Is she yours?", she asked, looking at me
"Yes, mine and my husband Leo", I said, nodding my head towards him
"To be honest, I thought I would never meet a baby", she said, looking at Ellie gently "What is her name?"
"Her full name is Eleanora, Italian meaning for shining light", I said "But Ellie is what all call her"
"She is beautiful", she said, looking up at me
"Thank you", I said, smiling while shifting Ellie up more on my chest
Leo then came in with a tray of steaming hot tea in a kettle and a few small cups on the side. "Here April, I hope this tea helps", Leo said
"Thank you", April said, gently taking the cup and took a sip from it
"Are you okay now?", I asked
"Yes thank you, I've decided that this might a very long dream that I keep not waking up from or it's the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me", she said, smiling gently
"I know it seems strange now, but you will understand soon", I said
"Young lady, we have something most important to discuss", Splinter said, walking into the room
"What do you mean?", she asked
"We have never revealed ourselves to the upper world, you have placed us all in grave danger", he said
"Master she was in trouble and we had to help her", Leo said
"Yeah you are always saying and teaching us to try and do the right thing", Raph said
"As you all grow older, you will learn there are many ways to do the right thing", Splinter said "But there is no going back. I'm afraid we find ourselves at...your mercy"
"Oh, I would never tell anybody", she said, shaking her head "I mean who would believe me?"
"She does have a point", Donnie said
"Besides I wouldn't put you all in danger not after what you did for me", she said "Especially since you have a baby"
Ellie cooed softly as I shifted her up more in my arms. "Seriously I promise", she said, with an honest look
"It's okay, we believe you, isn't that right sensei?", I said, looking up to my father
He nodded. "Of course", he said
"That takes us back when we were learning about the lesson of honesty", Leo said
"Or in Splinter's term trusting your gut", Mikey said
I giggled. "Nice", I said
"So if I'm keeping your secret, what exactly is it?", she asked "Who are you all?"
"I have memories", Splinter said "Memories of when I used to be what you call normal. I remember that night like it started any other. But ended changing the course of many lives. "The story of my sons and I begins a long time ago. I was originally a human named Hamato Yoshi and I resided in Japan where I became an expert of Ninjutsu. When my friend Oroku Saki sought the affections of my wife Tang Shen, Saki wished to discredit me in front of her. I had lost my temper and the altercation ended our friendship culminating in a battle that burned down my home and killing Shen and seemingly our daughter Miwa. After moving to New York City, I had just purchased four pet turtles when I stumbled upon an exchange in an alley between two people. Seeking to silence, before I could share what I had been seen, a fight ensued and the canister the people had been carrying smashed open splashing both on me and my turtles with an mutagen called TCRI. As a result, I changed into a humanoid rat after having had contact with a rat upon entering the alley, while the Turtles took on my human characteristics. Realizing I could no longer live a normal life topside, I retreated to the New York sewers where I raised them as my sons and I taught them the ancient Japanese fighting art of Ninjutsu"
"Wow...", she said, amazed
"I know quite the tale, I was really surprised when I first heard it too", I said
"Well...how you did you get mixed in all of this?", she asked
"Well you are going to find this hard to believe", I said "But I was once human"
"You were what?", she asked, in disbelief
"Told you", I said "But yes its true, I was once a human, just like yourself. I was a normal little girl living with my parents in Florence, Italy and we lived there happily and peacefully. But that all changed when my home was invaded by a known enemy that we had once before, the Foot Clan and their leader Oroku Saki, also known as the Shredder. He killed my parents in cold blood. I was brought to him by his soldiers as they burned my childhood home to the ground and he was going to kill me as well. I was spared that tragic night when my adoptive father and sensei Yani Shen had stopped him and rescued me. He brought back to his home here in New York and he raised me as his own. He began teaching me the ways of the ninja so I could protect myself. I had met my husband Leo on patrol one night when he saved me from the Foot Clan and when we were out together Shredder attacked the both of us. He injected me with a green ooze like Splinter mentioned and with Leo's touch I became the mutant turtle that I am today. And that is pretty much how my life came to be"
"Wow, you certainly have been through so much for someone so young", she said
"I know, I have been through hell on wheels, but hey who am I to complain for getting this far and having what I have?", I said, smiling a little
"Wait, something still doesn't make sense", she said
"What do you mean?", I asked
"I know how you learned how to fight, but how did they know martial arts?", she asked "Did you teach them?"
"Oh no, no, no", I said, shaking my head "I am only just a full kunoichi, not a master, our father Splinter taught my husband and my brothers the way of the ninja"
"But that will be a story to tell for another time", Splinter said
Just then the T.V showed a live video of a bank not too far from where the lair was. "And the police are completely baffled from a daring robbery executed in broad daylight. If anyone has any information the police urge you to call the crime stoppers hot line", the woman reporter said
"So anyone wanna take a guess at what did this?", Mikey said
"That is what I heard Dr. Stockman talking about", April said "He's got the Mousers robbing banks"
"Who is this Dr. Stockman and these Mousers things?", I asked
"Dr. Stockman is a genius, but he is also nuts. I used to work for him, but when I got suspicious he turned the Mousers on me, they were the robots you all saved me from", she said
"He destroyed part of the sewers", Donnie said
"Must of been one of his Mouser test runs", April said
"He nearly tried to kill us, he almost killed Calli and Ellie", Leo said, with a glare
"He must of been doing one of his Mouser test runs", April said
"I would like to give that man a piece of my mind for him trying to hurt my daughter", I said, holding Ellie closer to me
"Now he has graduated to banks!", Donnie said
"What are we waiting for then?", Raph said "I say we shut down Mouser central permanently"
"I just love it when you do those action movie lines Raph, you write that yourself?", Mikey said
"It won't be easy", April said "Stocktronics is rigged with the latest up to the minute security tech"
"Don't worry about it April, it's not our first time dealing with this", I said "Besides we got the techno Donnie on our side"
"Calli!", he said, blushing
"Can we go now?! Please?!", Raph said, eagerly
I giggled. "Okay Raphael, hold your sai's for just one more minute", I said
I then handed Ellie over to Splinter as he gently took her into his arms. "Be careful my students, may you return safely", Splinter said, as the boys were gathering up their weapons
"Don't worry Splinter, we will be fine", I said "We will be back soon"
I gave Ellie a kiss on her head as I ran following my family and April out of the manhole. We followed April in the sewers as she led us underneath Stocktronics building. Once we found a security alarm camera we had to stop and keep quiet. Donnie and April took apart the security alarm and began to disarm it. "Alarms in the sewers?", Mikey said "Is this guy paranoid or what?"
"Mikey quiet!", Leo said, softly
"Will you shut it?", Raph said
"I'm just saying", he said, shrugging his shoulders
"Both of you zip it!", I said, softly
"Thanks Calli, April and I need quiet for this is delicate work", Donnie said
"Oh, April and I, this is delicate work", Mikey said, teasing "Give me a break"
Once April and Donnie were able to disarm the system, we were able to climb into the basement of the building and climb through the air ducts up the story levels of the building. We came across the first air duct opening not long after climbing inside. I peeked out and waited for the guards to walk by before kicking it open and jumping down, with my sword in my grasp, into the hallway to make sure it was clear. "All clear guys", I whispered, giving the thumbs up
"Is this the place?", Raph asked
"There's a computer terminal in that lab", April whispered, pointing to the lab room across the hallway "Get me inside, and I will be able to create blank spots in the security system and get you through to Dr. Stockman's main lab"
"Don't look now we already got a blank spot here", Raph said, teasing while pointing at Mikey
"Hey!", he said, glaring in offense
Raph then jumped from the air duct and helped April down. I walked up to the lab and tried to opening it, but the knob wouldn't budge. "It's locked", I said
Raph moved in front of me and took out his sai. After raising an eyebrow at me as if to say 'watch this', he placed the end point of his sai into the doors key lock and opened it with ease. "There", he said, striking twirling the sai in his hand
"Hey nice work bro", I said, giving him the thumbs up
We then snuck into the lab making sure there weren't any security cameras and watched as April typed her way into the computers. "Okay I'm in", she said "I'm blanking the cameras along that corridor in ten second intervals. So you've got to keep moving"
"We will be back April", Leo said "Calli you stay here with April, she will the need the protection"
"Will do, be careful out there hun", I said
We gave each other a peck as they took off swiftly. "Good luck...", April said, trying to finish but the boys were already gone "Hey they're good"
"Told you", I said, giggling "April can you see if you can hack into any cameras that are on confiscated levels in the building?"
"Sure thing, what for?", she asked, typing away
"I want to look where Stockman's main laboratory is", I said
"Alright, I've hacked into three of the confiscated levels", she said
"Let's see", I said
April showed the several images of the abandoned hallways, empty lab rooms and unfinished Mousers on the tables. But what caught my attention, it came like a blink of an eye but I could make out four images in a room moving and another image walking up on some overhang. "Wait go back to the last image", I said
She clicked back to the last image. I could make out strands floating behind the four figures heads, knowing that it was mask tails of my husband and brothers and I saw the other figure on the overhang and there was an air duct above him. "What level is this image on?", I asked
"That's Baxter's main lab its on level 13", she said
"Great, I got an idea I'll be back, stay hidden and lock the door", I said
I quickly ran out of the laboratory room and climbed back into the air duct in the hallway, closing it behind me. With or without my family and April in with me it was cramped in these air ducts. Guess that was one advantage of having a huge shell. I had to military crawl. I jumped up the ducts that led me up and continued to crawl all the way up until I came up to the thirteenth level. I looked through the air duct seeing an African American shining lights down on the boys. "Intruders, here to steal my secrets", he said, looking at an infer red screen scanning the boys "You will leave here with nothing, not even your own lives"
The boys then got into fighting stances. "What on earth are you?", he said, surprised "Mmmmm suppose I will have to dissect you to find out"
"Unbelievable", I said, annoyed softly
He then pushed a button and lasers began pointing down at my family in different directions. Lasers then began shooting at my family as they scattered. They were barely avoiding the strikes as they began shooting faster and faster. I then kicked open the air duct jumping in. Stockman turned his attention towards me as I smirked at him. "Hello and goodbye", I said, as I leapt at him
He jumped out of the way as I skidded quickly back and ran at him again as he then began to start throwing punches at me, as I blocked them easily and I grabbed his arm with my hands and I flipped him over me and slammed him on the ground. But without warning he grabbed an office chair and he swung it back and it crashed into me. He then quickly got up and he pushed another button and I heard the sounds of roaring coming from below.
I gasped and I grabbed a manriki chain from my belt as I threw it and it wrapped around him tightly. I then pulled him towards me as I gave him a punch in the chest, sending him flying. But I then pulled him back as I side kicked him in the stomach, making him go flying again. But then I yanked him back one last time and I punched him in his cheeks then I roundhouse kicked him back, releasing my chain as it wrapped around him more tying him up, he smashed into the wall then on to the floor.
I smirked in victory and I went to the main controls, seeing Mousers were surrounding my family. I then looked at the stick control and I looked at the lasers behind me. I then got an idea and I grabbed the stick and I began moving the lasers around in different directions as I began to push the button numerous times shooting at Mousers, destroying them.
I shot a few that were about to spring out and attack Mikey but I got them all in the head with one shot. One was about to attack Raph from behind but I shot it in the back of the head, making pieces scatter all over the place. Donnie was whacking a few that came out at him by spinning his staff but then a swarm was jumping out at him as I then shot the lasers numerous times, moving them in different directions. A numerous amount came at Leo surrounding him as he held his sword in the air. I then got another idea as I shot a laser at his blade of his sword and it reflected off it as it heated each individual Mouser, causing them to overload and then they exploded.
I laughed in victory and I took out my sword and made a cut in the glass and I kicked it over jumping up. The glass smashed catching their attention as I whistled signaling them. "Hey guys what's in for you?", I asked
"Alright Calli!", Leo called out
"Way to go sissy!", Raph called out
"Come on up here!", I called out
They quickly followed as I jumped down from the panel as one by one they jumped into the overhang. "Nice tactic sis", Donnie said
"Yeah where did you learn to shoot like that?", Raph asked
"Well I guess playing "Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone" with Mikey did pay off in the end", I said, crossing my arms "I am up for Level 2"
"I told you it was a great game", Mikey said
I giggled and I shoved him playfully. April then appeared in the slide open doors. "April you are alright!", I said
"And kicking", she said, walking in "I saw the whole action unfold, nice job Calli"
"Awww shucks", I said, blushing
Leo then walked over towards the tied up Stockman and held his sword in front of his face. "Your rein of terror is over Stockman!", he said
"You have been practicing that?", Mikey asked
"Like it?", he asked, with a smile
"What are you?", he asked stunned
"They are with me", April said, stepping forward with a glare
He then looked towards April. "April you are alive?!", he said, stunned
"And how", she said "I've got enough evidence to put you away for years Stockman"
But then I saw he had some kind of remote control in his hand as he pushed a glowing red button. "Look out!", I said
An alarm system began to blare around the lab as we looked around. "Too late, I have released my new set of Mousers and they will be here any second and they will tear you apart", he said
"That's enough!", Raph said, grabbing by the chains
"April?", Leo said
"I'll have to shut the whole system down", April said, sitting down and typing a few keys
"I'll help", Donnie said, moving in beside her
"You are doom! Listen!", Stockman said
Doors began to slide open and more and more Mousers began to appear. "The system isn't responding!", April said, typing and pressing several buttons a millisecond
We ran and looked out a window and to see hundreds more of Mousers climbing up the ladders and walls towards us. "Ha! You should of never matched with me", Stockman said, escaping through the slide door
"He is getting away!", Mikey said, struggling to open the doors
"Let him go", Raph said "We got bigger problems"
Mousers began to jump through the windows and walls to into the overhang, within minutes we were completely surrounded by Mousers. "At least we'll go out fighting", Raph said
"Actually I don't wanna go out at all", Mikey said
"It's not working!", April said
"Keep trying you two!", I said
"This is it! It's been fun guys!", Raph said
"Leo?", I said, looking at him
He looked at me worried and he took my hand into his own as we gripped each others tightly as we looked back at the Mousers. They were inching closer and closer, before they suddenly shut down and froze. "Huh?", I said
I took my sword and I tapped one on the end of the blade. We then began cheering happy they weren't going to die anytime soon. I then sighed in relief. "That was too close", I said
"Yeah we would of been turtle sushi", Mikey said
"Good job April!", Donnie said "I've never seen anything like that"
"Uh guys...guys", April said, worriedly "I wasn't able to shut them down"
"What do you mean?", I asked, confused "They look pretty shut down to me"
"The only way I could stop them was by initiating an overload sequence", she said
The Mousers then began to smoke and light up red. "In other words, let get the shell out of here!", Mikey said
"Ladies first", Leo said, offering
"Such a gentlemen", I said, giving him a flirty look "Climb on April!"
She climbed on to the back of my shell as I held her by her legs and we jumped out of the overhang and landed on the ground. The boys quickly followed in behind us as we ran out of the building, just before the Mousers exploded, causing an enormous fire engulfing every inch of the lab. We were able to slip back into the sewers and safely get back to the lair. "We are back!", Mikey called out
Splinter exited the dojo with Eleanora in his arms and walked over. "I understand you were all successful?", he said
"Yeah sensei", Raph said, smirking "We totally wiped out all those Mousers!"
"It was all thanks to April's smart thinking", Donnie said
She blushed and giggled embraced. "Yes it was successful", I said, walking over as he handed me my daughter "We have a feeling we won't be running into him or those Mousers anytime soon"
After telling Splinter about the battle, we were in the living watching the T.V with cups of green tea. We then saw another report about the Stocktronics building. "And the authors are completely perplexed by the destruction of the Stocktronics building and the sudden disappearance of Dr. Baxter Stockman", the woman reporter said
"What will you do now, Miss O'Neil? you are most definitely out of the job", Splinter said
"I'm not so sure exactly", she said, shaking her head
I placed my hand on her shoulder reassuringly. "We will help you out April", I said "With anything you need"
"You guys, you guys been great, but its too much to ask", she said
"It's no trouble, we will help you get back on your feet", I said
"We will?", Raph asked
Leo then nudged him in the chest with his elbow. "Yes, we will", he said
"Thank you, but it's not your problem", she said
"Hey we are friends now, you helped us and we are now helping you", I said, reassuringly
She looked at us flattered. "You guys are amazing, and by guys I guess I mean five big green talking turtles and a little turtle", she said, looking at each of us then looking at Ellie with a smile
She cooed smiling kicking her little leg. "And a giant talking rat", she said, looking at Splinter
Leo then raised his cup forward. "Here's to the new team!"
We clanged our cups together, including April and cheered as Splinter watched on with a smile. "YEAH!", we all cheered
