Calli's Pov...
The sound of the kettle whistled on the stove as I finished cleaning up the living room and straightening up the pillows on the couch. I passed Ellie, who was playing on her play mat with her blocks as I gave her little head a gentle rub. I went into the kitchen and turned off the stove as the whistling came to a stop as I grabbed the handle of the kettle with a mitten and placed it on the counter.
I was expecting our new friend April O'Neil to come by and visit for a while. April has been coming by the lair a few times in the past few weeks to have chats with me or to babysit Ellie when we had patrol. I heard the sound of boots clicking against the concrete through the open manhole cover that lead to the lair. I then saw April started to climbing inside of the lair down the ladder. "Calli are you here?", she called out
"Yes April, come on right in, I just made some tea and macadamia nut cookies", I called out
"Oh sounds good", April said
I walked out of the kitchen as I saw April come walking down the steps and she looked down at Ellie, who was cooing happily and bouncing up and down scooting a bit across the floor. "Oh hi Ellie, you pretty girl", April said, looking at her adoringly
"Go get April Ellie", I said, smiling
Ellie cooed and she got down on her hands and knees and started to crawl up towards April cooing and smiling happily. April laughed a little as she smiled lovingly down at Ellie.
"That is hilarious, but so cute", she said
I giggled and smiled as Ellie stopped crawling and sat down again looking up at April.
"Hey come here", she said, getting down on her knees "Come here"
Ellie began to crawl again until she got to April's knees and she picked her up in her arms as she stood up to her feet. "Oh my goodness you are getting so big", she said "You were so tiny the last time I saw you"
"Leo joked that I'm feeding her too much that's why she is growing so fast", I said, giggling
"She is already learned how to crawl?", April asked, surprised
"I know it stunned all of us that she was able to do that", I said "Donnie says that a baby doesn't start crawling until they are at least seven to ten months old and Ellie is only three months"
"When did this happen?", she asked
"Oh just last week", I said, pouring the tea in cups "I was in the living room with Ellie just reading and Leo and Raph were going off to train in the dojo and apparently Ellie wanted to go with them and sure enough she remarkably started to follow them by crawling"
"Wow that's amazing", she said
"I was shocked, like I didn't expect her to do that", I said, walking into the living room placing the tray on the table "She was crawling so fast that I thought maybe one of them would trip over her"
"Well you have to admit Ellie is not an ordinary baby", she said, smiling
"That's very true indeed, you are right", I said
April then walked over and placed Ellie on her play mat as she went back to playing with her chew rings while laying back on her stuffed turtle. April then walked over as she sat down beside me on the couch. "Ellie has to be the cutest baby ever, you are very lucky to have her", April said, taking her cup
"Oh thank you April, I couldn't ask for a better daughter", I said, taking a sip from mine
"Do you think you and Leo might have more children later on?", she asked
"It's a possibility, I am leaving it open as an option, but I want to wait at least until Ellie is older until we decide to have more", I said
"Fair enough", she said, giggling "How has she been doing?"
"Oh she is perfect, she hardly ever cries and sleeps on through the night no problem at all", I said
"Well that's always good to hear", she said, smiling
I giggled. "So how is it going with you? I mean have you found work yet?", I asked
"Well it certainly hasn't been easy", she said, taking a sip of tea "I have tried many of the research and technology facilities in the area, but each one declined my resume after the take down of Stocktronics"
I looked at her sadly. "Oh April, I'm really sorry", I said "That doesn't sound so good"
"It's not, I was really hoping I could get my life back on track after that whole incident right away, but it wasn't what I imagined", she said
"Are you able to get by financially?", I asked
"Well I have been running my father's old antique store for a little while now to keep up with rent, but it's hardly getting me by now", she said
I looked at her with concern, but then a smile came to my face. "Well I think I might know a solution", I said
"Oh what is it?", she asked
"I was looking up some career openings for you to try and see if there might be something that could be interesting that you might want to apply for", I said "The Channel 12 news station is hiring a journalist right now and I know it's not in the same field you have been in, but I think maybe it could be something you might want to try"
April smiled as she looked at me. "You know that might sound good", she said "I have done similar to what journalists do on explaining some of the gadgets and experiments my team and I were working on T.V before"
"Well maybe that's your best bet then", I said "I heard it's a good paying job too, my best friend Lori from high school went on to study on being a journalist"
"I'll definitely look into it, thank you Calli", she said, looking at me gratefully
"Oh no worries, anything for a friend", I said, smiling
We then continued to drink our tea and eat some of the macadamia nut cookies I baked as we continued on a friendly conversation of our lives and our interests. "Oh my goodness you played the big of a prank on your principal?", she asked, laughing
"Oh yeah it was so funny, even our principal thought it was hilarious", I said, giggling "She said it was probably the best senior prank that was done in her years of being in the school"
"I still can't believe you pulled it off without her noticing it", she said
"Well it took every senior to blow balloons up and the help of our assistant principal to pull it off", I said, giggling
"Sounds like that was a day you won't forget", she said "If only you had gotten it on tape for us to see"
"I do actually", I said, smiling "It's just somewhere in my stuff, I'll have to look for it"
"Sounds great", she said
But then there was a sound of a rattling that echoed in the lair, that sent chills up my spine. "Woah what was that?", April asked, pulling her legs up on the couch
"I don't know, but that sound sure is frightening", I said, looking around
"Do you guys have a snake in here or something?", she asked
"No, we don't get snakes down here in the sewers and you wouldn't find one traveling around in New York for obvious reasons", I said
"Is it Ellie?", she asked
I looked over at Ellie seeing she was suckling on one of her chewing rings. "No, I don't see her with her rattle", I said "That's the only thing that I can think of that would make that noise"
The rattle sound began to go off again as I stood up quickly looking around. "I really do hope we don't have a rattlesnake in here or I will literally jump out of my shell", I said, walking around the couch cautiously
"Be careful Calli", April said
I walked slowly looking down at the ground for any signs of what that sound could be. I then heard a crash coming from our storage closet beside me and I cautiously walked towards the door. I slowly grabbed the knob and I slowly opened the door seeing nothing but darkness inside. As I stepped in closer for a better look, something long shot out at me and it landed on top of me as the rattling sound returned. I screamed as I slipped back on the rug as I struggled to get whatever it was off of me. "Get it off of me! Get it off of me!", I yelled
Suddenly my younger brother Mikey came out from the closet and started laughing at me pointing as I stopped struggling, looking at me stunned. "Hahaha got you!", he said, laughing as he held his phone with a video on it with a picture of a rattlesnake
I then looked down to only see a piece of one of Donnie's electrical cables on top of me and that it wasn't a snake as Mikey ran off laughing. "Mikey you are so going to get your tail kicked!", I said
"Try and catch me if you can sissy!", he called out
"Oh you evil little terrapin", I said, in annoyance
I rolled up to my feet and dusted myself off. "Calli are you okay?", April asked
"Oh just peachy", I said, looking off where Mikey ran
"Oh little brothers you never what they can do next", she said
"Good thing you don't have to deal with mine", I said, with a smirk
"You know I think I have an idea on how to get revenge", she said, smirking
"Oh really how so?", I asked
"You got any pies?", she said
"Yeah I made two banana cream pies a few nights ago why?", I asked
She then smirked. "We are going to need them both and slingshots", she said
"Oh you bad girl, sounds very despicable, but I love it", I said, giggling evilly
She giggled along with me as we gave each other a high five and we ran into the kitchen to get everything we needed for the revenge. We made sure not to make it look too obvious that something was going on as April and I stayed in the living room waiting for the right time to attack as we pretended to still be chatting with each other. "Oh my gosh did you see Arrow last week?", I asked
"Oh Stephen Amell is such a man", April said
"Did you see the after show with Colton Haynes? He was talking about that he had to get a tattoo to represent the navajo heritage he came from", I asked
"Oh he is so hot too, I would totally date him!", she said
"Oh my god so would I!", I said, happily "Well I am already taken, so you can date him then"
"I read online that he is still single and he is in the top 100 sexiest men alive", she said, giggling
"Well that is no surprise I mean come on, who would not think he is hot?", I said
"Someone who is an idiot", she said
"Exactly", I said, laughing a little
Just then Mikey passed us as he hummed to himself finishing off a slice pizza then let out a huge burp as he went into the dojo, closing the doors.
"Time?", she asked, softly
I looked over at her with a smirk. "It's time", I said, giggling "Come on"
We both giggled as we rushed into the kitchen and I grabbed the two pies out from the oven and April came over with a can of whip cream and she overly sprayed the pies until we ran out. She then grabbed the slingshots that Leo and I used to practice with our ninja stars and we quietly snuck over towards the dojo as I handed her a pie and she went on the other side of the dojo door. "He is going to be so pissed off at us", I said, giggling "But it's totally worth it"
"This is going to be so funny, I can't stop giggling", she said, laughing softly
"Shhhhh, don't give us away", I said
I snuck in front of the door and I peeked inside to see Mikey had finished up a kata, while Donnie and Leo were sparring each other, with his tonfa and was taking a drink from his water bottle. "Okay we got him right where we want him to be", I said, softly "On the count of three we attack"
"Alright", she said
"One...two...three!", I said, as I slide open the doors quickly
April jumped out beside me as we pulled back the slingshots with the pies as Mikey looked at us stunned, while we smirked at him evilly. "Woah what are you girls doing?!", he asked
"Oh a little something we like to call, sweet revenge!", I said
We released our slingshots as the pies went flying through the air as Mikey shrieked ducking just before the pies hit him in the face and went flying over him. "Boys look out!", I called out
Leo and Donnie turned their attention to my voice as they shrieked as the pies crashed on to both of them instead. "Oh no", I said
"That wasn't suppose to happen", April said
"Haha nice try princess you almost had me!", Mikey said, speeding off laughing
"This ain't over yet you little troublemaker!", I called out behind me
I then looked back and saw the whipped cream from the pies started dripping all over the boys and on to the floor as Leo pushed the tin off his head and looked at me with a cocked eyebrow as whipped cream landed on his snout. I giggled innocently as I grinned trying not to look guilty. "Um...sorry Pookie", I said
"Oh a wise girl huh? Thinking it's funny to throw a pie at me?", he said
"It was meant for Mikey, not for you guys!", I said
Donnie then threw his tin off his head as he shook his head free from some of the whipped cream and then licked his lips. "Banana cream pie I presume?", he asked, looking at us
"Yes with extra whipped cream", April said
Leo and Donnie then looked at each other, then they looked back at us with sly grins. "Oh you both are now going to get it", Leo said, chuckling
"What?! Why?! What did we do?! That's not fair! Mikey deserves it not us!", I said
The boys then started coming over towards us with the pie tins still with half the pies left in them. "Um Calli...I think this would be the best time to run", April said, tugging on my arm
Leo and Donnie started snickering as they started walking towards us faster, tossing the pie tins up in their hands. "Yes, a wise suggestion", I said, backing up "RUN!"
We screamed as the boys started to throw parts of the pies at us as we barely had time to duck or jump out of the way to avoid being hit. As we made it towards the dojo doors Leo threw his pie tin at me as I pulled my head in my shell as it hit the wall and my head popped back out as I looked at him stunned. "You are so dead tonight Leonardo!", I said
"Calli come on!", April said, tugging on my arm as Donnie's pie tin came coming at me and then hit the wall
We both started running out shrieking as more pieces of pie came flying passed us as we retreated to the safety of Leo's and my bedroom, slamming the door.
Leo's Pov...
I shook the remaining pie and whipped cream off of me as the girls ran off hiding. "They think they are so funny, well they haven't seen what we can do...yet", I said, looking at the door
"What are you thinking Leo?", Donnie asked
I looked back at him with an evil grin. "Time to bring back the prank that always got Mikey grounded if Splinter went into it", I said
"You don't mean?", he said
"Oh I mean", I said, nodding
"The plastic wrap with glue prank", we both said "Yeah!"
We both ran in different directions as I ran towards the kitchen to get the plastic wrap out of the drawer and Donnie ran towards the lab. We both came running back as I pulled back huge pieces of the plastic wrap and Donnie began squirting clear glue all over the pieces. "They won't know what hit them", I said, snickering
"Jeez it's been forever since we have seen this prank happen", Donnie said, as we placed the pieces on the rims of the doors
"Oh yeah last time, Splinter got so mad that we thought that the chase would never end", I said, chuckling
"I think we all laughed too hard, cause I for one couldn't even breathe", Donnie said
"Yeah I couldn't either, that was just too funny, but in one way I did feel bad in the end because Splinter had taken three hours to get the glue off and Mikey got grounded for a whole month", I said, sticking the wrap to another piece
"Oh well, lesson learned that's why he stopped doing that prank", Donnie said, shrugging
I finished smearing the last piece on the door as the whole length and width of the dojo doors. "This is going to be a good one, I can feel it", I said, evilly
"Come on hide, we don't want them to see us", Donnie said, softly
We both hid behind a pillar as we waited for Calli and April to come out of the bedroom and watch them get into a sticky situation.
Calli's Pov...
I slowly opened the door and peeked out around making sure Leo and Donnie were nowhere around in sight, being careful they wouldn't get their revenge on us. "Is it clear?", April whispered
"So far so good", I said, softly "I think we are okay"
I opened the door more as April and I snuck out of the bedroom walking cautiously, looking around for any signs of the boys. We both then sat down on the couch again as all that greeted around us was silence. "Maybe they left", I said "They might of gone into the sewers"
"Let's hope so, I really don't want to get pranked", April said, giggling
"Me neither", I said, giggling "But I think we will be okay, as long as we don't fall for any tricks"
"You girls can't get us even if you had the best prankster on your side! Which we all know is not you two!", Leo called out
I scoffed as April crossed her arms annoyed. "Oh yeah?! I'm the not the one who had gotten pies all over them and couldn't even get us with your girly shots!", I called out
"Well come try it again, we got more pies in the dojo and we will see if we can get you both!", Donnie called out
"Fine then! We will! We will show you boys!", April said, standing up and walking towards the dojo doors
I knew from a gut instinct that this was a trap and I quickly and quietly rushed over and I pulled April aside beside the wall before she could walk inside. "What?", she said, softly
"Shhhhh, look", I said, pointing from angle
She followed my finger as we saw plastic wrap and shining through the light inside the dojo coming from the skylight. "Wow you saw that?", she asked, surprised
"I have seen it all", I said, nodding while smirking
"You are good", she said, surprised
I giggled and I saw the shadows of Leo and Donnie crouching down on the floor on the other side. I then looked back at April. "I got an idea, just follow my lead", I said, softly
She nodded, and I looked towards the doors and I then kicked the floor with my foot. "Oh my god! Ow! Oh my god I think I twisted my ankle!", I said, sounding in pain "Ow! Ow! Ow!"
I giggled silently as I nudged April as she smiled giggling covering her mouth with her hands. "Oh my god Calli! Are you hurt?! Are you okay?!", she asked, acting
"Oh I think I'm okay, let me see if I can walk", I said "Ow!"
I then kicked the floor as I tried to make it sound like I fell down again. "Ow! Oh my god! This hurts! Baby! Help me!", I called out, sounding in agony
I then saw the shadows of my husband and brother shifting as I saw Leo starting to stand up. "Hold on angel I'm coming!", Leo said, rushing over
April and I both started laughing silently as Leo was actually starting to fall for the prank as Raph came walking up. "Hey what are you two doing down there? Playing hide and seek or something?", he asked, walking towards the dojo doors
Our laughter then died down quickly as we both looked at Raph stunned. "No Raph don't it's a-", I said, trying to warn him
But Raph crashed into the plastic wrap as it stuck to his whole body. "A prank", I said, finishing my sentence
He then began grunting as he struggled to get the plastic wrap off as the glue stuck to him. He was able to pull the plastic wrap off his face, as Leo and Donnie came up. He then looked down at April and I annoyed as I looked towards Leo and Donnie. "They did it!", I said, pointing then running off "Run!"
"Right behind you!", April said, close behind me
Raph's Pov...
I turned my attention towards my brothers as they looked at me sheepishly. "Huh? Too late to say sorry?", Donnie asked
I then hit my fist into my palm glaring at them. "Oh way passed that time", I said
He swallowed hard as Leo backed up a bit looking terrified. "Uh...", he said
He then took one of the plastic wraps that was on my arm and he smeared it across my face as I growled annoyed trying to pull it off, grunting. "Retreat! Run!", Leo said
"Good idea, wait for me!", Donnie said
I heard running footsteps fading away as I heard the dojo doors shut loudly, knowing they escaped my grip. I grunted and growled once more as I was able to pull of the plastic wrap and throw it on the ground, looking out at where they ran annoyed. "They aren't paying me enough to take this kind of abuse", I said, to myself
I then tore off the rest of the plastic wrap from me as I balled it up in my fists throwing it away.
"Mmmmmmph they ain't getting off the hook that easily", I said, looking at my sai "Time to break out the big guns"
I finished tying the topes of my slingshot together to the door handles of the dojo and I placed six water balloons in the sling as I waited for Leo and Donnie to walk in through the door. I knew this plan would not fail me as I have always seen it succeed in movies and online. "They are going to get a face load of this when they walk in!", I said, to myself
I snickered silently to myself as I heard footsteps coming my way as I stood back a few feet with the string to release the slingshot in my hand. The doors then started to open as I looked at them with a smirk. "Surfs up dudes! Waves are coming!", I called out
I pulled on the string as the slingshot sprang forward releasing the balloons from the sling as they went flying through the air and I heard the sounds of the balloons popping and water splashing down on the floor. I began laughing evilly that I got my revenge on my brothers for their so called prank that was suppose to happen to Calli and April, which I think was really for me. I then heard grunting as I began laughing more. "What's wrong? Don't like getting wet or you just upset I got my revenge?", I asked
"Revenege on what my son?", someone said
I then gulped hard as I slowly looked up and saw that it wasn't my brothers that I got wet instead it was Splinter, with his fur and robe dripping wet, looking unamused. "Uh...I can explain", I said, sheepishly
He then stabbed his cane into the floor which echoed loudly throughout the lair. "Children in here, now!", Splinter said
Calli's Pov...
My family and I, including April knelt before Splinter as he paced back and forth in front of us looking down at the floor with disappointment in his eyes. I had a feeling that we had taken our pranks too far and that we were going to be punished for our actions. "What is the meaning of all this pranking?", Splinter asked
"Well sensei, it started out with Michelangelo scaring me with a piece of cable making it look like a rattlesnake", I said "So April and I wanted to get him back by throwing pies at him, but apparently that didn't work out and it got Leonardo and Donatello instead"
"When the girls got us with the pies, Donnie and I thought about getting them back by doing that plastic wrap pun you hated so much that you grounded Mikey every time he did it", Leo said "But instead it got Raph, not the girls"
"Instead of getting the girls to walk into their prank, I ended up walking into to it, so I wanted to prank them back as I did the slingshot prank with the balloons, but instead I got you sensei", Raph said
He then stroked his whiskers in between his paws as his nose twitched as he then looked at all of us. "So I see, so all of this pranking was just so all of you could get revenge on one another", Splinter "When you know revenge only triggers the mind to do more drastic things to get satisfaction one might desire"
All of us looked down in shame. "Yes sensei, it's true", I said "That was the only thing we wanted, was revenge, and we should of known better not to, for revenge is a deadly sin that will change one from the inside out"
"Well, I think I know a way for everyone to get even on their prankings", Splinter said
I looked up at him confused as the others followed up looking baffled as well. "Wait what do you mean master? You mean each of us goes through the pranks that were suppose to happen to us?", I asked
"No Callista", he said, shaking his head
He then snapped his fingers as a rope came down with tassels beside him. "This!", he said, with a smirk
He then pulled down on the rope as we heard the sound of creaking wood above our heads. We each slowly looked up as a huge metal tub that was resting on the wooden beams and we gasped as we saw something dark green and glowing come down from the tub as it quickly crashed down on us, covering us head to toe.
We all shrieked as the substance dripped and stuck to us like glue as we tried to get it off of us. "There now you are all even", Splinter said, beginning to laugh
"Oh my god! Yuck!", I said, trying to pull off the substance "This is gross!"
"What is this stuff?", Raph asked, trying to tear it off his arm
"Ah! It's all my hair!", April said, trying to pull it out
"Looks like Mikey's supply of green silly slime", Donnie said, looking at a glob in his hand
"Hey I was looking for this for all week!", Mikey said, shaking some from his face
"Oh hahaha you think that's funny Splinter?", I asked, with a cocked eyebrow
"Well I for one think it is funny, for someone who doesn't do pranks", Splinter said, chuckling
"I guess you still have a trick or two up your sleeve master", Leo said
"Oh trust me Leonardo, I have got plenty", he said, nodding his head "And there is a lesson to be learned about the art of pranking, always watch your back"
We all started laughing, even Splinter as well as we got up shaking the slime off of us. I pulled the remaining off on top of my head and I flicked it off my hand, sighing in content. "Hey!", someone said
I turned and I began giggling as the glob of slime on my hand slapped Leo in the face covering his eyes. "Oops sorry pumpkin", I said, giggling
"Funny you", he said, tearing it off from his face, flicking it away
He then came walking over towards me as I hugged him close pulling him into a kiss. "Did you really hurt your ankle back there or were you just faking?", he asked, teasing
"You have got lot to learn about acting Leonardo", I said, giggling
He chuckled and smiled as we brought each other into a deep passionate kiss and hug. "Now this was a good prank day, don't you agree?", I said
"I agree, we all got what we asked for, a good laugh and sweet revenge", Leo said, chuckling
"You know I would still watch my back after trying to get me with the pie earlier there muscles", I said, whispering in his ear "I'm still wanting to get my revenge on you"
"Would you settle on a little "alone time" tonight?", he asked, with a smirk while rubbing my hip
"Mmmmmmm I think we negotiate", I said, giggling
"Mmmmmmm good", Leo said, as he pulled me into another kiss
I kiss back lovingly as my lips danced around his own as his hand gripped around behind my head deepening. I then gasped softly pulling away. "You know we forgot to prank someone", I said
"Who?", he asked, confused "Splinter?"
"Nope", I said, giggling "Casey Jones"
He then got a sly grin on my face. "Oh what do you have in mind?", he asked, teasing
"I got a good idea", I said, nodding my head smirking
We both then started snickering as we left the dojo, getting ready to tell the others of our final prank of the day. After telling everyone of our plan for the ultimate prank, I texted Casey to come by the lair to hang out for a little while that we were having a family movie night. "Sis are you sure this plan will work?", Mikey asked, sitting beside me "What if it back fires?"
"Hey if it could work on AFV, then it sure can work here", I said, giggling "Trust me this plan is full proof"
"I hope this does work", he said "Trust me we have seen what he has done to Raph and I don't want to become turtle sushi"
"It will be fine don't worry about it", I said, smiling nudging him "Go on and pick a few movies for tonight, and nothing too gory like last time please"
"On it!", he said, jumping over the couch running to his room
I got up from the couch as I picked up Ellie from her play mat giving her a kiss on the forehead as I heard the sound of a motorcycle engine echoing through the tunnel above the lair. "Yes right on cue", I said
I wiped Ellie's mouth clean from drool with a napkin gently as Casey jumped down into the lair landing on his feet. "Yo Calli!", he called out
"Right on time hot shot", I called out
He then removed his shades from his face as he rested them on top of his head while shaking his hair out after taking off his bike helmet.
"Hey knucklehead", I said, walking up to him
"Hey Calls, brought some popcorn", he said, showing me the huge bag in his arm
"Wow hey thanks", I said, smiling "That's awesome"
He set down the bag on the kitchen table while tossing his sports bag on the ground. "Oh while you are here, there is someone here I want you to meet Casey", I said
He turned and he jumped back a bit seeing my baby in my arms laying against my chest, looking at me surprised. "Woah who is baby is that?", he asked
"She is mine silly", I said, giggling
"You didn't tell me you were a mom Calls", he said
"Surprise", I said, smiling
Ellie kicked her little legs as she cooed looking at Casey. He then looked at her with a soft smile. "Man Calls where have you been? I mean first you tell me you are a mutant, now you are married, and now you have your own kid", he said "That's insane"
"Oh you know thrown into an unexpected whirlwind of change and this is what came out", I said
He then reached out and rubbed Ellie on the head as she smiled, cooing. He chuckled as he watched as she began to suck on my thumb holding it with her little hands. "So what's the name of this little guy?", he asked
"This is my daughter, Eleanora Marie Hamato", I said
"Man Calls she is like an exact image of you", he said
"You think so?", I asked
"Yeah I mean she has got the eyes, the face, and pretty much everything", he said "She is just a little version of you"
I giggled and smiled. "Thanks", I said "Everyone pretty much thinks that too"
Just then April walked into the living room from the dojo with Splinter as he sat down on the lounge chair. "So Calli what movie did you all have in mind?", she asked
She then looked over and she and Casey had locked eyes on one another, silently. It almost looked like love at first sight that happened. "You're...not a turtle", she said
"No a...defiantly not", Casey said
I giggled silently to myself. "Calli who is he?", she asked
"Oh Casey this is my new friend April", I said "And April this is my old friend from high school Casey, we met back again a few weeks ago fighting gang members"
"Oh it's nice to meet you", she said, holding out her hand for him to shake it
"Yo Casey you up for round two I believe?", Raph called out, appearing in front of us, cracking his knuckles "Because you ain't got the willpower to take down me"
He then looked at Raph with a devious smirk then he looked back at the three of us.
"Excuse me ladies", he said, giving a charming smile to April "Come here you!"
Casey ran towards Raph jumping over the lounge chair as he tackled Raph to the ground as they began to wrestle with each other. April looked at them worriedly as I placed my hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry they did this the last time they saw each other", I said, giggling
"Wow he is quite strong, even to take down Raphael?", she said, surprised "That's amazing"
"You know I think he likes you", I said, whispering
"How do you know?", she asked
"Call it a woman's intuition", I said, giggling "I know it all too well"
"He is...certainly different", she said, as we looked at Casey and Raph play fighting
"Hey but he is a good guy", I said, nudging her "I have known him all my years of high school, and he may crazy and a show off but you got to love him, he is like the brother I never had"
"Well...he may not be Stephen Amell on the hotness level...but he is kind of cute", she said, whispering
"Someone's got a crush and it's you", I said, softly in a sing song voice walking away
"Shut up Calli! Not in front of him!", she said, embarrassedly blushing
I snickered as I sat down on the couch as Raph and Casey were still fighting with Raph gaining the upper advantage swinging Casey back with his hockey stick as he landed on the ground. "Come on will you two knock it off already?", I said
"He started it", Casey said, jumping up to his feet
"You engaged", Raph said, with a smirk
I shook my head rolling my eyes. "I'm really surprised you two are not twins", I said "You both act like the double trouble siblings"
"Just imagined if they were", Leo said, nudging me snickering
"That would be a disaster", I said, whispering
We both laughed silently as I gave his cheek a peck. Mikey then brought out a huge stack of his DVD collection while Donnie brought out the popcorn in a huge bowl and a six pack of Coke. April sat down on Mikey's bean bag while Casey crashed on the floor by Raph on the lawn chair. Leo and Mikey gave me the nod smirking as I giggled softly grabbing a money scratcher out from my belt. "Oh Casey by the way while you are here, before we start the movie, I found a money scratcher out in the sewers that hasn't been scratched yet and I think you might be lucky to win the fortune", I said
"What makes you think I'm the lucky one Calls?", he asked, looking at me a cocked eyebrow
"Did you or did you not save our hockey team from losing in the final quarters of each game that we played with your famous move and made us champions of the year?", I asked, teasing back
"Well I can't complain, they never saw it coming", he said, shrugging
"True that", I said, giggling "So I think yes you might be lucky enough to win ten grand"
He shrugged. "I'll give it a shot, maybe then I can get that new Harley I have been wanting", he said, as I handed him the scratcher
"Maybe", I said, smiling "You never know"
I was struggling not to laugh out loud as I squeezed Leo on his bicep as I felt his arm vibrating, knowing he was struggling not to laugh. The others were looking at him smiles and I could tell each of them was struggling not to break out in laughter as Casey started to scratch at the ticket. I watched Casey's facial expression as it started becoming brighter and brighter with surprise. Then his mouth literally dropped to the ground as he scratched three pots of gold in the middle row. "No way!", he said
"What?", I asked, giggling a little
"Oh my gosh!", he said, happily "I just won $10,000!"
"No way!", I said, trying to sound not obvious "Really?!"
"Woah that is awesome!", Leo said
"That's freaking cool!", Mikey said "You are rich man!"
"I just won $10,000 dollars!", Casey said, excitedly "This is the best day of my life!"
He jumped in the air and started running the lair screaming in happiness as we started laughing, that he actually fell for the prank. "Oh my god I can't believe it worked!", I said, giggling
"Oh man he is going to be pissed off!", Raph said, softly to me
"Mikey now!", I said, nodding towards him with my head
"Oh this going to be good", April said, giggling, watching Mikey walk up towards Casey
"Hey Casey I'm sorry to burst your bubble man but that is a fake ticket!", he said, laughing
"No that's not true I really did win $10,000 dollars! New Harley for me!", he said, happily
Raph then came up to him laughing hard. "It's not real, it's not real!", he said, shaking his arms then flipping the scratcher over "It's a copyright, see only valid in your dreams"
Casey had a look of a shock and disbelief as he looked at us. "I didn't win $10,000 dollars?", he asked, confused
We all began to burst out in laughter as I leaned back in the couch laughing and Leo laughed falling off the couch in laughter. Donnie and Mikey were leaning against each other pointing at Casey, who looked so humiliated and embarrassed. Raph shoved him as he laughed leaning against a pillar doubled over. April giggled along with Ellie as Splinter chuckled at the joke. "I didn't win $10,000 dollars?", he asked, again dumfounded
We laughed again this time harder. "Nope it's full of bologna!", Mikey said, laughing
"Now that is a nasty prank!", he said, glaring playfully
"Oh my god you should see your face right now!", I said, laughing
"Oh hahaha Calli, you think that is funny?", he asked
"I think that's really funny", I said, giggling
He shook his head as he growled as I giggled more. "That was for junior year when you put that fake bloody leg in my locker on Halloween", I said, laughing
"Okay Calli haha that was a good one, you got me", he said, rolling his eyes
"Got you good", I said, laughing "Told you I would get my revenge"
He shoved me playfully as I fell back on the couch against the cushions on my shoulder as he sat down again on the ground. "Yeah you are such a card Calli, you are so funny", he said, smirking
"Okay now that everyone here has been pranked, let's settle down for a movie", I said, giggling
"I'm all in for that", Leo said
"I agree", April said
"How about watching a movie where someone else gets pranked and it's not us?", Mikey said, suggesting
"Hmmmm Home Alone: Lost in New York sounds like a good one", Donnie said
"I'm in for that", Raph said, leaning back on the lawn chair
"Guys?", I said, looking at the others
"Sounds cool", Mikey said
"It's alright with me", April said
"Good with me", Leo said
"Sounds just fine", Splinter said, nodding
"Alright then", I said "Pop it in"
Mikey put the disc into the player as it began playing as Donnie turned out the lights leaving a few small ones on as I grabbed a handful of popcorn as Ellie curled up in my arm falling asleep and Leo brought me close to him as we began laughing at the funny parts where the robbers were going through the booby traps. "You know it's always funny when a prank happens to someone else besides yourself", I said
"I agree with you completely", Leo said, chuckling "But I'm glad we all got a good laugh today"
"Mmmmmm so I am", I said, giggling
Leo then kissed my temple as I snuggled into his shoulder. "Love you baby", he said, softly
"Love you too sugar", I said, softly
We then continued to watch the movie as I smiled to myself that even though our pranks had backfired on each other in the end we all got a good laugh. I guess all's well that ends well, even in the art of pranking.
