Calli's Pov...
It was a silent winter's night during the time, luckily we had the heater going on to keep the lair warm and toasty. Everyone was fast asleep in their rooms and I was in a deep slumber, resting my head on my husband's pillows. I could still smell his strong scent in the material and it was very comforting for me when I would have a nightmare or just having an off night. I had the comforter wrapped around me tightly secured around me as I snuggled deeper for more comfort. But for some reason I could hear walking outside the bedroom and thought maybe it was Mikey getting up to get a midnight snack or Splinter making tea. I heard my door creak open and I squinted my eyes open thinking someone was coming in but when I looked there was no there. Guess it was just the air blowing it open. As I laid my head back down to go back to sleep, I could feel something crawling up beside my leg. I looked over my shoulder to see something bulking from under the covers. "Huh?", I said, turning over on my side pulling the cover up
To my surprise I saw my daughter Ellie poking her head out, holding her stuffed turtle secured in her right arm. "Can't you sleep Ellie?", I asked
She shook her head frowning. "I keep missing Daddy Mama", she said, sounding sad
"Oh Eleanora", I said, sitting up in bed, turning on my lamp on my nightstand
"I see him, all the time in my dreams, one time I thought he was home again with us", she said, hugging her stuffed turtle tightly in her arms
"Oh I see", I said, stroking the back of her head
"I wish Daddy was here Mama", she said
"Oh I do too sweetheart", I said, pulling her in my arms
She hugged me close as I rubbed the back of her shell. "When will he be home?", she asked
"Very soon Green Bean", I said, rocking her gently side to side
"Is he really far away?", she asked
"Oh yes honey, he is out in Japan, it's on the other side of the world", I said
"What's Japan like?", she asked, curiously
"Mmmmmmm that's a good question", I said, with a smile "Well its very different than the city we live in, it has a lot more trees and landscapes, like the art work that Grandpa Splinter showed you."
"Like a forest? Like the one Aunt April took us to for Fourth of July?", she asked, looking up at me
"Sort of, it does kind of look the same but it's different in some other ways too", I said "It is also called the birthplace of Ninjitsu, how all of us are being trained in"
"Is Daddy being in the forest right now for training?", she asked
"Oh no, he is up in the mountains in a very ancient temple with your grandfather's master", I said
"Is it very high up? Like in the clouds?", she asked
"Exactly, its hard to spot sometimes", I said "That's where Daddy is learning some of the best ninja training to benefit our team"
"Do you think I can go to Japan one day to see the temple? And meet grandpa's master the Ancient One?", she asked
"I think we can make that happen one day, I am sure Daddy can make an arrangement", I said, with a reassuring smile
"It's almost Christmas, do you think you will be home in time?", she asked, hugging her turtle close before resting her head on my chest
I sighed softly, it was true, Christmas was only just two days away and I wasn't sure how much longer Leo's training would be. Surely he would be in time for Christmas, but what if he does miss this? What if he has to stay longer than what we anticipated? I looked back down at Ellie, who looked uneasy after the question and I gave her forehead a kiss as she looked back up to me. "I am sure he will be home in time pumpkin, he will try his best to be with us during this special time together", I said, with a smile
"He will?", she asked, with hope gleaming in her eyes
"If you believe in it, I am sure he will", I said, nodding
She smiled. "You know he always made Christmas special every year", I said
"He did?", she asked, curiously
"Mmmmhmmm, he made your first Christmas very special", I said, nodding
"How?", she asked
"Here I will show you", I said, reaching down towards my nightstand
I took out another scrapbook from the cubby where I kept my art projects, that I had created for holiday events for our family and I set it down in my lap flipping through a few pages of photographs, till I came to a certain page decorated in snowflakes and poinsettias. "Here look", I said, pointing to a photo
She leaned over to take a look to see herself as a five month old baby in her father's arms and she was wearing little lit up reindeer antlers and little red and green striped socks on her feet, sucking on her fisted hand. "That's me?", she asked, looking at the photo curiously
"It sure is, that was your first Christmas with the family", I said ,with a nod and smile "You looked so cute in those little antlers, everyone thought was adorable that he did that"
"I look funny", she said, giggling
"You should see this then, this one is very funny", I said, flipping back a few pages
It then came to an older photo that I had the page decorated in hot chocolate mugs and chocolate chip cookies. "Can you guess who that is?", I asked, pointing to a photo
It was a photo of four little turtle boys in knit Christmas sweaters, the same colors of their masks, at a kitchen counter with one Donnie decorating a tray of cookies on a tray, Raph looking annoyed as Mikey was laughing at him with a pointed finger having a cracked egg and flour on his head, and Leo with in a huge bowl with raw cookie dough batter all over his mouth smiling.
"Who is that Mama?", she asked, curiously looking at the photo
"That honey, is your daddy", I said
She looked at me surprise in her face. "That's daddy?", she asked, pointing to the photo
"Mmmhmmmm, that was him and your uncles when they were about your age", I said "They were baking cookies together, a tradition that they always did as kids, and your Daddy always loved to lick the bowl"
"Like me!", she said, with a huge smile
"Just like you", I said, rubbing her head smiling
"Do you think we can make cookies now Mama? Like they did?", she asked
I thought about it for a moment and looked over at the clock. Even though it was four in the morning I think tonight we could make an exception and it could be a special moment for us both. "Okay we can, but we have to be very quiet so we don't wake up everyone", I said, nodding and whispering softly
"Okay", she said, with a smile nodding as well
We climbed out of the bed and made our way into the kitchen and began to prepare and mix in the ingredients together into a huge bowl and rolling it out on the counter. Sure enough while I was rolling out the dough Ellie was holding the bowl over her head. I struggled not to laugh out loud as I saw her look at me with cookie dough all over her face as she giggled. We made the molds with cookie cutters and slid the tray into the oven waiting for them to bake. In the mean while we waited I made some hot chocolate on the stove top as Ellie got comfortable on the couch in the living room snuggling in a quilt. Soon as everything was finished I brought out the tray of mugs and cookies and snuggled close with my daughter under the quilt as we ate the cookies and drank the cocoa quietly. "Yummy cookies Mama", she said, looking up at me with a mouthful
"Mmmmmhmmmm indeed very good, we did well", I said, with a smile taking a sip of my cocoa "You know Daddy sent something for us"
"He did?", she asked, with a bright smile "What?"
"Here", I said, taking a small box from the table beside me bringing close to us
I opened it up slowly after untying the red ribbon and carefully taking a hold of a white ribbon to reveal a small ornament of two light pink cherry blossoms with green leaves behind them and a small message on the bottom, "My Beautiful Delicate Flowers" and our names on the petals of the flowers. "Daddy had made this for us and he wanted it to be put on the tree", I said
"It's so pretty Mama", she said, looking at it holding part of the leaves with her fingers
"How about you hang it for him? I am sure he would love that", I said, as she looked up at me
"Okay!", she said, with a smile
I handed her the ornament as I picked her up and walked over towards the tree that was brightly lit up by the many colored lights around the branches, reflecting off the many ornaments that decorated every part. From hand made ones created by the boys when they were kids to new ones that we had gotten from April over the many Christmases together. "Where do you think we should hang it?", I asked
Ellie looked around the tree with her little tongue curved out on her lip before she smiled pointing towards the top of the tree. "Up there! By the star!", she said, pointing, towards a little space by the lit up crystal star
"That looks perfect", I said, nodding in agreement "Let's hang it up there"
I lifted up Ellie higher as she reached forward and hung the ornament on the branch. I backed up for us to take a look and it fitted perfectly where it hanged. "It's beautiful, now Daddy is apart of decorating the tree with us", Ellie said, hugging me around the neck snuggling close
"He sure is baby girl", I said, giving her forehead a kiss before looking back at the tree "And I am sure he will be apart of this Christmas, he always fulfills his promise"
Leo's Pov...
Putting the last of my things in my gym bag before zipping it up I sighed with content. I looked around my now empty room seeing that my journey has now come to an end. I was finally going home after six months of being overseas, back home to my family to see my brothers, my father, my wife and my little girl. How I waited for this day to come. It seems like its been an eternity and now it was finally here. I made sure my bag was secured over my shoulder and my hat was hanging behind my head before I made my way towards the door. I looked back one last time at the place that has been my home for the last few months before smiling and I made my way out of the room and walking down the path towards the entrance of the temple. There waiting for me was Ancient One with a proud smile on his face before I came to a stop in front of him. "It has been an interesting journey of mine to be able to teach one of my pupils students", he said "I hope you will use the lessons that I have taught you wisely Leonardo, you have come a long way from where we first began and now you have become stronger and more skilled physically, mentally, and spiritually"
"It has been master", I said, with a nod "And I do promise you with my word, that I will honor and use the skills and lessons I have learned to better my fighting skills not only for myself but can better my family and use to advantage wisely into defeating our enemies and keeping the peace of our home that we will always protect and love"
"Your words do speak of truth and I do wish you a safe journey home to be with your family once more", he said
"I do very much look forward to it, it has been a long time since I have seen them all and I miss them greatly", I said "I do look forward to being with them this holiday season"
He gave a smile and chuckle. "I shall now send you on your way and do take care of yourself Leonardo-san, your family will need your guidance and leadership in order to succeed", he said
"I promise", I said, with a firm nod
We gave each other a bow of respect before the doors of the temple slowly opened outward revealing the path down the village. We faced back towards each other before giving each a smile before I made my first step on the path that would lead me home. "And Leonardo-san?", he said
I looked back at him with curiosity. "And do take care of your wife and daughter, they will need you the most", he said
I smiled more before I made my way down the path before I made my way towards the early morning day of the village with everyone starting their morning routines as I made my way towards the boat docks. I boarded my way onto a cargo ship and made myself comfortable under the deck as I looked out the small window seeing the island of Japan starting to slowly disappear on the horizon as the boat made its way out into the ocean. I will have to admit I will miss Japan since its always been home away from home, but I was beyond excited to be able to go back and be with my family, especially to see my wife and daughter. As the boat started on its route I sat on a few cargo crates and got a text from my wife on my phone. I opened it up to see sweet photos of Calli and Ellie together baking cookies, decorating the tree in the living room with lights and beautiful ornaments, and one of them together laying on top of sparkling snow smiling as snowflakes fell on top of them laughing. I couldn't help but smile as it always could melt my heart on the photos that she would send to me. "I am coming home girls", I whispered softly, looking at the last one with a warm smile "I am coming home"
Calli's Pov...
Well it was finally here. It was Christmas Eve. I kept anticipating that Leo would be coming home early the upcoming morning but as the morning turned into afternoon and afternoon turned to evening it seemed like hope was fading fast thinking he would be home in time for the holidays. I kept looking at the manhole cover hoping to see or hear any signs of my husband returning but all that greeted me was silence or dripping water from the pipes. The family and I were about to go out and play in the snow in Central Park, but all on my mind was wanting to see Leo come home. I was distracted while trying to put on my pinky puffy coat and my black boots while staring up towards the entrance to our home. "He will make it back sissy, you have been staring at the cover all day", Mikey said, slipping his hat on over his head
"I know, but its getting late bro what if he won't be able to make it back in time? I will not only be devastated but Ellie will be too", I said, with my voice sounding concerned
"You know Leo all too well Calls he will be back in time for Christmas", he said, wrapping a scarf around himself
"Man I really do hope so, I means its been six months since we have last seen each other and really don't want to keep on waiting for him to come home", I said, sliding on my three fingered gloves
"He will make it, I know it too", he said, with a smile
I then managed to smile a little. "Okay bro, I believe you", I said
"Great! I still bet I can pelt you with more snowballs than what I did last year!", he said
"Dude that is the problem you didn't even get me with any last year! I won last time! And it looks like I am going to have to do it again Mister I Can't Admit A Loss", I said, impersonating his voice playfully
"Keep dreaming Calli, I will be waiting for your muffled reaction once I pelt your face with the snowballs I am going to get on you!", he said, jumping on the ladder to head out towards the park "Come on! Last one there hatched from a rotten egg!"
"Yeah and the first one there has got to eat it!", I called out, laughing
"You do know he was already hatched from a rotten egg sis", Raph said, chuckling
"Raph!", I said, cocking an eyebrow at him
He chuckled more and gave me a playful shove. "Nah I am just kidding besides we all know that it was Donnie who hatched from the rotten egg", he said, laughing out loud while climbing out behind Mikey
"Hey! I would not be the genius that I am today if that situation had occurred!", Donnie called out, sounding annoyed
I giggled as Ellie went rushing past with her putting on her hat laughing with her uncle. "Wait for me Uncle Raphie!", she called out
"Don't you worry Donnie besides we will get them tonight when we have our big snowball fight", I said, as he came walking up giving his shoulder a pat
"Oh I am not worried about that, besides I got a secret weapon up my sleeve", he said, showing me a green cannon like gun that was hidden up his coat sleeve
"And what might that be?", I asked, cocking an eyebrow
"My latest project! The automatic snowball gun, can shoot up to a hundred snowballs a minute!", he said, pulling his sleeve back down
"Woah you have been hard at work bro!", I said, giggling
"They won't stand a chance up against this bad boy!", he said, with a smirk
"I am assuming its for last year when they dog piled on top of you and shoved snow down your shell?", I asked, crossing my arms smiling
"Exactly right! Tonight I shall have my revenge!", he said, in a dark voice
"Well that is cruelest thing you have ever said you beast", I said, playfully
He laughed a demon like way before I tossed him his hat. "Come on then revenge seeker, let's get going on", I said, laughing while climbing up the ladder
"Lead the way sissy", he said, climbing up behind me
We made our way over to the park with Ellie throwing her sled in front of her while running and jumping on top of it sledding down a small hill cheering. It was so beautiful out tonight. The moon was sparkling brightly and there were so many stars that were covering almost every inch of the surprisingly black and dark blue sky. Almost like as if you were looking up and seeing a real life masterpiece before your eyes. The snow was perfect, thick and fluffy, sparkling like diamonds as my hands reached down gathering together a small pile in my hands. I then laughed softly as I threw the pile up into the air, giggling like a little girl enjoying the winter wonderland as it began to snow softly. "Oh its so nice out here, the snow is perfect!", I said, catching a few snowflakes on my tongue
Without warning I got pelt in the face with a snowball making me stumble back with Mikey hiding behind a pile laughing. "Bet you didn't see that one coming!", he said, throwing another one hitting me in the chest making me smirk
"Donnie! Ellie! Run for cover!", I yelled out, laughing
We screamed while laughing as we took off running trying to avoid Raph and Mikey while they continued to chase us pelting us with snowballs. "We are going to get you guys!", Raph called out
"In your dreams!", I called out, looking back behind us
"You can run but you can't hide dudette!", Mikey called out
We ended up making it to the other side of the park before getting down behind a huge snow pile while our brothers continued to pelt our fort. "Alright troops we need a plan, our enemy is closing in fast!", I said, giggling
I shrieked as one barely missed my head as it made me lose my balance making me nearly roll backwards. Donnie snapped his fingers with a smirk. "Alright Calli, you distract them while Ellie you and I start making the snowballs", he said, pulling out the invention from his coat "We will load them up and they will never know what hit them!"
"Yeah pelt them hard! No mercy!", Ellie said, throwing her fists in the air
"Sounds like a plan to me, alright break!", I said, as we gave each other a team high five
While Donnie and Ellie focused on getting the gun ready I peered up from the snow pile and whistled with my fingers. "Yoo-hoo! Over here knuckleheads!", I called out, sticking my tongue out
Raph threw a snowball towards me but I time to duck before popping back up again. "Awwww come on you have to throw faster then that guys!", I called out, laughing
Mikey and Raph then threw two at the same time, this time I barely managed to duck down in time. "Your words shall be the end of you!", Mikey called out, in a demon playful voice
"Oh yeah?!", I called out throwing a lightening fast throw hitting him in the head knocking him back
I laughed as he sat back up with snow still stuck to his face. "You know you hit like a girl sissy!", he called out, sliding the snow down off his face with a smirk
"For your information I am a girl! A girl who clearly knocked you out!", I said, laughing making another snowball while still looking at him
Suddenly I got pelted in the face with a snowball and I looked over at Raph seeing him laughing. "Spoke too soon little lady!", he called out
I growled shaking the snow off of my face, but then I felt a tug on my coat and looked back with Ellie smiling and Donnie giving me the thumbs up with the gun loaded up. I then smirked looking forward as the boys had many snowballs ready in front of them smirking back at me throwing one in each hand while catching it again and again. "Did I now? Well I think you should put your snowballs where your mouth is!", I said
"What are you blabbering about Calli?", Raph asked, with a confused look
I snapped my fingers with Donnie appearing up with the gun ready to fire with Ellie on top of his shoulders. "Oh sewer apples!", Mikey said, looking in shock dropping the snowball in his hand
"Fire in the hole!", Ellie yelled as Donnie pulled the trigger of the gun
Snowballs then started to go flying as Raph and Mikey screamed as they got pelted continually as they yelled out trying to block the attack with their arms, but it just wasn't enough to stop the on going assault. "Charge!", I yelled, running forward
"Charge!", Donnie said, saying it simultaneously as Ellie running behind as the boys started getting pelted harder
The snowballs showed no mercy as they hit the boys all over them as we continued our charge towards them. "Retreat! Retreat!", Mikey yelled running off from the fort
"I am not one to retreat in a fight, but this I will make an exception! Wait for me!", Raph called out
The boys took off running but they were not merely fast enough as the snowballs started to jolt their running as they pelted their shells repeatedly. As much as they tried to keep running they were no match as they both felt and the gun unloaded its last of its arsenal before smoking out cold air, leaving them slightly covered face down. We laughed in victory as Donnie and Ellie gave each other a high five and I walked over towards the boys. I couldn't help but snicker and giggle looking at them both looking like as if they had been buried by an avalanche. "Who's laughing now suckers?!", I said, giggling
There was no movement at first still Mikey started to rub the snow off his face as he turned over with looked at us with a cocked eyebrow and Raph, not looking any better spitted out some snow from his mouth with a growl. "A snowball gun?! No fair!", Mikey said, whining
"All fair in love and war, our brothers slash enemies! And now I have my revenge for last year!", Donnie said, snickering while blowing some snow off the entrance of the gun
"Okay guys that's how you want it play it? Well then you will like this game, its called 'Payback on the Cheaters with a Snowball Gun'", Raph said, sitting up shaking the snow off his shoulders before hitting his fist in his palm
"No one said about any rules of help!", I said, as Donnie and Ellie and I took off running screaming
Ellie had jumped from her uncle's shoulders and ran towards her sled that was near by and grabbed a hold of the rope dragging it quickly towards a ledge that was a huge hill that went down towards the deeper part of the park. "Get on quick everyone!", Ellie said, pulling her sled before jumping
"Right behind you princess!", Donnie said, pushing the sled faster
"Make room for three!", I said, catching up quickly
I quickly jumped as we started to pick up on speed cheering going down the hill. "You ain't getting away that easy!", Mikey called out
Mikey and Raph, using their shells jumped out and started sledding down the hill to catch up with us. "Oh boy, sounds like they mean business!", I said, giggling looking back behind my shoulder
"Not a worry even if they tried anything, we can just hit them up", Donnie said, with a smirk holding the gun up
"Oh boy here we go again", I said, rolling my eyes chuckling
We continued on to sled down the hill cheering with our brothers not too far behind in pursuit. It did end up with us having to using the snowball gun again, but this time it ended up with us in a huge dog pile covered in snow. So all in all we each got revenge and a good laugh at the end. Spending about another hour in the park having fun making snow turtles and even building a giant snow turtle, it was about time we were about to start heading home. As I shook my hat free of snow that clung on to it, I noticed Ellie was looking over by the ocean, that could barely been seen behind the huge skyscrapers, with her shell facing me. I sighed softly and walked over to her and could see by the side of her face was filled with disappointment.
I knelt down beside her placing my hand on her shoulder as she looked down with a frown. "He is not coming home for Christmas, is he?", she asked
As much as I hated to answer her question, I knew I couldn't make it possible that somehow he would, I swallowed softly and sighed. "I am so sorry honey", I said, turning her to face me
"But he promised", she said, with tears starting to swell in her eyes
"I know baby, I know he did", I said, frowning as well taking her into my arms
Her arms wrapped around me as I could hear her sniffling in my coat as I kissed her head. I could feel the disappointment and sadness coming from her wash over me, knowing how much she was looking forward to Leo coming home for the holidays. It seemed now that hope was crushed and it made me feel powerless knowing there wasn't anything I could of done to fix it.
Leo's Pov...
Hearing the sound of the boat horn as it slowly made its way to port, made the adrenaline only run faster through my bloodstream, only just a few more feet and will be finally home. Finally the boat reached the end and I quickly slung my bag over my shoulder before making my way out of the cargo hold. I waited for the sailors to be distracted before I jumped overboard and landed on the dock and ran behind some shipping containers to hide before making my way up towards the nearest rooftop. Looking over the city everything familiar began to come rushing back to me, I can't believe I have been away from this city for six months. It felt like a big sigh of relief. Seeing the bright lights flashing, the smog floating up from buildings below and even smelling the sewer just beneath me was even nice. I must of really missed home that much if I thought smelling the sewer was nice.
I got my focus back to what I needed to and I made my way across the rooftops taking the fast route I knew by heart to get to the lair. Going as fast as my feet could carry me I couldn't wait to see the faces of my family members. As I made way down at the end of 3rd and Becker Ave, I swung across the lamppost and headed towards Central Park towards the alley on the other side of the street. But as I started to make my way over I skid to a halt and hid behind a tree and peeked out to see my wife and daughter were together with Calli down in front of Ellie. I looked closer to see the two of them looking disappointed as they hugged each other close. I frowned thinking that they were thinking about me not being able to make it for Christmas in time. But now it was time for action. I snuck my way past making sure I wouldn't be seen as I started to sneak closer towards them. I then caught sight of my brothers in front of them and I softly called out. "Guys!", I called out in a loud whisper
Mikey was first to notice and gave me a huge smile, then Raph and Donnie turned looking just as excited to see me. "Leo! You made it!", Mikey called out
I hushed him quietly with my finger pointing towards the girls as they looked back over their shoulders, before looking back giving me the thumbs up. I smiled and made my way over as they hid me from view till they parted letting me come out in front till I stood just in front of my unsuspecting wife and daughter. "Girls", Donnie said
"Not now Donnie please", Calli said, turning her head further down towards Ellie's, that was resting on her chest
"But there is someone here to see you", he said
"Callista, Eleanora", I said, softly
I heard a soft gasp from my wife making her head slowly look up. Both her and Ellie slowly turned their heads towards me and their faces were filled with nothing but shock in seeing me standing there right in front of them. Emotions were now starting to surface as I could feel the tears coming out from my eyes as I started a fast pace walk to them. Ellie's face went from shock to a huge smile as she began to run quickly towards me while Calli stood up still in absolute shock.
"Dad! Daddy!", Ellie said, running with her arms wide open
I continued to run faster as I collapsed to my knees taking my little girl into my arms and I began to cry as she jumped into my arms giving me the tightest hug she has ever given me. "Daddy!", she said, happily
"Hey Green Bean!", I said, kissing her head deeply as my head went around to the back of her head as I stood up as she hugged me tightly around my neck
Ellie clung on to me tighter burying her head in between my shoulder and neck as I walked towards my wife, who looked to be too stunned to move as I walked up towards her. Soon as I got close enough her arms quickly engulfed us both and that's when I could hear her starting to cry. I was able to get my arm around her too bringing her into a deep loving hug, feeling beyond happy that I have my girls back in my arms once more. "My girls", I said, softly "How I missed you both so much"
"Oh Leo", Calli said, looking at me with a huge loving smile
She brought my head in close to bring it to her lips to lead to a passionate kiss. How I missed feeling those lips of hers and the feeling of her against me. Her scent filled my nostrils that brought me back to the familiar deep love and happiness that I have in my life. She pulled away after a few moments before hugging me tightly around the neck again, with her hands gripping the back of my head. "I missed you so much Calli", I said, kissing her temple deep
"Oh my gosh! When did you get in?", she asked, continuing to cry
"Just now, I was on my way home when I saw you guys and I couldn't wait any longer, I just had to have you and our little girl in my arms once more", I said, smiling
She smiled happily and just snuggled closer under my chin and I felt Ellie move up and hug me around my face making me chuckle. "We missed you so much Daddy! We thought you weren't going to make it home for Christmas", Ellie said
"You know I couldn't miss your favorite holiday of the year baby girl, I would never miss this for anything", I said, letting my head rest against her head as I rocked both of them side to side slowly
"I told you he would always fulfill his promises, he was going to make it home honey", Calli said, stroking her cheek
"And you were right Mama!", she said, snuggling deep into my chest
"It's so good to be home and I am so happy to see you both again, I promise you I will never leave you this long again, I am home for good", I said, hugging them tighter to me kissing both of their foreheads
"We know that for a fact Leo, we wouldn't allow this to happen twice", Calli said, with a giggle
"Yeah too long of a wait!", Ellie said, making all of us laugh
"I promise you, that won't happen again, now come on, let's go home", I said, taking them still tight in my arms
With that our whole family started to take those first steps towards our way home and soon after we were settled in for the evening. We spent most of it in the living room talking about the training while spending time with the Ancient One and all the difficult tasks that I had to do while enjoying mugs of hot chocolate. "Woah so you were really all the way up in the mountains?!", Mikey asked, amazed
"And you climbed all the way to the top of Mount Fuji?! That's awesome!", Donnie said
"I got to say hiking up the trail wasn't as easy as it looked, you would think doing a simple hiking task would not be a challenge but it was even harder than the training I did with Ancient One", I said
"Is training with him harder than with Splinter?", Raph asked
"Way harder than what you might except, even you would find it hard to do", I said, with a smirk
"Eh I bet I can manage", he said, rolling his eyes smirking in return
"You wish", I said, under my breath
My wife giggled. "Well sounds like you have had an amazing adventure", Calli said, with a smile
"It was", I said, smiling bringing her closer to me around her shoulder "But it would of been greater if you were all able to come along, but I have to say I don't regret going at all. I mean I know it was a very long time with our family being separated, but with the knowledge that I gained and the skills that I learned I have a feeling that with when I do teach you, it will really benefit us and give us that advantage that we need in order to stop the Dragon Lord and his army once and for all"
"We have faith in that", Calli said "We trust you, all of us do"
I looked around and got a nod from everyone which boosted my confidence level and couldn't help but smile. "Thank you, that means a lot to me, it truly does", I said
Ellie then climbed up from the floor across till she climbed up into my lap. "It's good to have you home Daddy, we really missed you", she said, snuggling close while hugging my chest
I chuckled and rubbed the back of her head then down her shell. "I really missed you guys too, but all that matters is that we are together now together and just in time too", I said
"You have come across many milestones in your young life my son", Splinter said, who was sitting in lotus position across from me "You have learned the many ancient ways of the ninja I have taught you, defeated our long time enemy the Shredder, married the love of your life who has come to accept you for who you are and have your little one who will carry on the tradition and now you have reached a new chapter, of becoming a ninja master"
Hearing those words coming from my own master seem to have taken my breath away. It has always been a dream of mine ever since I was a child to become exactly like my father, a ninjistu master. After years of being taught under the guidance and wisdom of him, it was truly an honor to have been given such a title such as this. "It is with great honor to have received these words from you father, I will take upon this title with strive and continue to use with everything you have taught me along with the Ancient One to be able to not only just teach my siblings and my wife, but to give my daughter the skills and wisdom she will need to carry on our legacy"
"Well I'm in, I am ready to be taught and to learn your ways master", Calli said, hugging me tighter
"Yeah sensei Daddy", Ellie said, with a smile up to me
I hugged them both tightly to me before I heard the sound of running footsteps. "Group hug on Leo!", Mikey yelled tackling me and the girls
It caused us to shriek then laugh as the couch tipped back a bit. "Make way for us!", Donnie said, as he and Raph jumped on top of us
The amount of force and weight was causing the couch to tip back and before we knew it the couch toppled backwards causing all the weight of everyone to crush on top of me. "Well that went well", I said, with sarcasm
We all then just started laughing out loud as if we were kids again just having fun. A little while we started to retreat to our rooms for the night and I headed towards Ellie's room just as she was pulling back the covers with her stuffed turtle clutched in her arm. I then smirked as I quickly walked up behind her growling playfully as she shrieked loudly as I grabbed her in my arms spinning around before crashing down on her bed, making her laugh uncontrollably. I gave her a big kiss on her cheek before I rolled over with her on top of me. "How was everything while I was gone sweet pea?", I asked
"It was good, Mama and Grandpa let me teach another lesson in the dojo", she said, smiling before climbing off me
"Oh really? What did you teach them how to do?", I asked, leaning back against the end of her bed
"I taught them how to fight using only one arm and blindfolded", she said, giggling
I snickered on the near verge of laughing already envisioning that in my head, seeing how that would of turned out. "What made you think of that?", I asked
"I don't know", she said, shrugging
"Well that is not a bad lesson, I bet they were fighting all funny huh?", I asked
"They were really Daddy", she said
We both laughed before I rubbed her head with my hand. "Oh which reminds me, the Ancient One wanted to give you a little something", I said, reaching behind my shell
Ellie crawled across the bed as I pulled out my hand that was fisted as she looked at it curiously and I revealed in my hand a small trinket, of a small white cat with its paw raised, with a green bib on its chest and a red collar with a golden bell around its neck. "The waving kitty! I always wanted one of these!", she said, with a smile taking it out of my hand
I chuckled with a smile. "He made this special just for you", I said
"It looks just like the one from the legend, of the brave kitty who saved the man from the lightening storm from under the tree", she said
"Exactly right, I told him how you loved that story when I told you about it and he wanted to bring that legend to life with you", I said, with a soft smile
"I love it Daddy! I really love it!", she said, hugging me tightly
I hugged her tight in return before giving her head a kiss as she pulled away and put her kitty on her nightstand right in front of her lamp. "Now my kitty will watch over me!", she said
"And that it will always", I said, sitting up "Alright Green Bean you should get sleep, tomorrow morning there is a lot of presents that are going to be waiting for you"
She yawned softly as she nodded. "I can't wait and I can't wait to show you the gift I got you", she said, crawling under the covers
"Well I can't wait either, I will be looking forward to it", I said, climbing off her bed and tucking her in
She snuggled her turtle close as I rubbed her shell softly in circles. She looked up to me with her eyelids dropping slowly and I gave her a smile before snuggling her snout softly. "I love you Daddy", she said, yawning softly before laying her head down and falling fast asleep
I smiled softly and gave her cheek a gentle kiss. "I love you too Ellie Bug", I said, before reaching up to turn off her lamp
I got up quietly and walked out of her room shutting her door as I started to head towards my bedroom where I saw my wife leave from the kitchen shutting off the light. I snuck quietly behind her and reached out with my arms and brought her close to me by her waist as I kissed her cheek, making her giggle.
Calli's Pov...
I turned around slowly as I was brought into a loving hug with the strong muscular arms of my husband surround me, making everything around me melt away and it was just only him and I. My arms circle around his neck letting my hands grab my forearms bringing him close to me. The room was dead silent as we looked at each other deeply with our foreheads touching, taking in that feeling we both seemed to have desperately craved for months. The feeling of him against me was so overwhelming that it only made me desire more. "You have no idea how badly I wanted you back in my arms and to never let you go", Leo said, softly letting his one hand tenderly stroke my cheek
"I could say the same for you too, how I longed to be able to feel your heart beating against mine and our love to intertwine once more", I said, shivering slightly
"Now that I have you here, I am not letting go", he said
"My god I love you so much", I said, pulling him closer to me
"I love you too", he said, smiling bringing my lips to his
They collided into a deep passionate kiss and immediately the desire for us both seem to increase as our lips danced faster and harder against each others. Taking in the warm and taste of his lips was one of the hardest to not have everyday while he was gone, its almost like it was my own drug I craved them so much. The heated moment increased as he brought his waist closer to mine and started to pull up on my thigh to where it touched his hip. I moaned softly and was able to jump to where my legs were wrapped tightly around his waist as he started walking quickly till he crashed us into the wall as he pushed hard on my shoulders with his hands pinning me tight as he moved down and started to suck and lick deep at the crook of my neck.

I was able to get it off from his face as I tossed it on to the floor to let it join mine. Leo grabbed my waist pulling it up to him as he started to kiss and slowly lick down my plastron making my bones turn to jelly from the deep lust, nearly making me lose my stance over my mate. Leo pulled me down to his side as he climbed back over and got down lower as he kissed along my waist line and dangerously close to the inside of my thighs, making me whimper with each kiss he plants. After hours of continuous passionate and lust, we no longer could have the energy to keep going as Leo fell off the side of me as I regained my breath, feeling my heart pounding through my chest. But it wasn't long till I felt him pull me on top of his sweaty body and that's when my breathing and my heart started to relax. His hands rested on the back of my head and shell as I slowly looked up at him, with some of the regained energy.
"Wow you really did want me", I said, panting softly
"I did so much as I always do, but this time it was more desiring", he said, stroking my head softly
"So worth the wait", I said, climbing up closer to him
He kissed my forehead as his arms wrapped around me tightly. "I can't begin to tell you how much I love you Callista. You have given me everything that I can ever ask for in life and I am so grateful that you have come to have me not only as your mate, but as your husband and being able to be the father of our child, and to share a life with someone who I would want to spend the rest of my life with forever", he said, letting his fingers gently stroke along the back of my head
"I will love you till my very last breath Leonardo and I hope that you know honey that your love is worth more to me than anything in the world and I wouldn't trade it for anything", I said, kissing him softly
He returned the kiss for a moment before I let my head rest on top of his chest. "Sleep well my beautiful angel", he said, covering me up with the covers "I will be right here when you wake up"
"Thank you and I love you Leonardo", I said, softly letting my eyelids slowly close
I don't think that any kind of love can compare to what Leo and I share and the thought of me finally having my knight in shining armor home with me again in my arms was just a feeling you can't even describe. And to know that this event won't happen again was a huge sigh of relief and that the rest of my life I won't ever have to experience this kind of separation again and we will only do things together with my prince, my handsome husband Leonardo.
"I love you too Callista", Leo said, softly in my ear as I began to drift off into a deep restful slumber
