Calli's Pov...
I know that the impossible can become possible, but I never thought that anything impossible like this could ever be created. The fact that we are facing three mutant turtle experiments that were ten times bigger than ourselves that looked like they are on steroids felt like we were apart of a sci-fi horror movie. "How is this possible?", I asked, as we pulled out our weapons ready to battle
"Quease must of made genetically engineered clones, recombinant genetic mutations of your DNA", Donnie said
"Jeez Calls, from something coming from you, I thought these dudes would be more placid", Mikey said
"Oh thanks a lot bro", I said, sarcastically
The monster with the huge shell came running out at us roaring and I ran towards it as I tried to slice at it with my sword, but it hid in it shell making me miss its head, causing me to nearly tumble to the floor. It poked its head out and grabbed the blade, and started to shake me violently in the air as all limbs came out. It tossed me aside as I slammed into the wall, falling to the floor with hard thump. Raph came out at it with a yell, tried to slice at its head, but the monster kept jumping out of the way or tucking its head back in its shell. "Jeez and I thought being on two legs was an advantage", he said
I grunted as I got to my feet and ran at the monster and jumped in the air before landing down on top of its shell with a hard front flip causing a crack in the shell. "Raph!", I yelled
He knocked the monster upside in the jaw with his sai before roundhouse kicking it in the shell sending it sliding, as I jumped off, before bouncing back and forth against concrete pillars repeatedly. "Now what that does that remind you of?", I asked, with a nudge to his shoulder
He chuckled before we heard a scream. "Guys help!", Mikey yelled
I saw Mikey was being crushed by the turtle monster with six arms, enough to where you could hear bones being cracked. "Hold on little bro!", Raph called out
We quickly ran towards them as Raph jumped forward flying through the monsters legs slicing through muscle with his sai making the monster yell out in pain. I then pulled out my sword and sliced down at the six arms cutting them off releasing Mikey from its grip, as it stumbled back the open wounds from the arms began to spray a green substance uncontrollably all over Mikey landing on top of him. "Ew! Ew! Ew! Ew! Get it off of me! Blech!", Mikey said, freaking out like a little girl trying to get it off
I giggled to myself before I seen Master Splinter fighting against the last monster as it tried to crush him with its spiked tail, Splinter was able to dance out of its reach as he backed up towards the wall. I saw a glint in his eye as the monster snapped its huge jaws towards him, Splinter threw his arm out and with a touch of his paw touched the side of the monsters neck causing it to roar before wobbling side to side. "Leonardo! Donatello now!", Splinter yelled out
Leo and Donnie started to shove the tall glass tube case till it started to fall over and began to crash down on the last monster. Splinter flipped out of the way as the dust began to settle revealing the crushed monster. "How did you do that?", I asked, walking up to him
"Reptilians pressure points", Splinter said, with a smirk
"I had no idea reptiles could have pressure points", I said, sounding surprised
"But of course, how do you think I kept my boys under control for so many years?", he said
We couldn't help but laugh as I heard my headset ring. "Hey guys how are things going?", April asked
"Oh the story we have waiting for you when we return, what you got for us girl?", I asked
"I found a private hidden elevator hidden behind a secret panel", she said "I am also showing some wiring leading to a control button under one of the lab tables in your vicinity"
I looked back to the table where we had found the scroll and I quickly ran over and I moved some of the papers and books out of the way till I found a red button underneath a glass covering; flipping it up I pressed down and part of the wall on the other side of the room had rose up to reveal a hidden elevator with ancient Chinese markings engraved on the doors. "Bingo! Great job April, we are going up!", I said
"And not a moment too soon, uhhhhh guys?", Mikey said, nervously pointing to the monster that was underneath the glass container
It began to stand to its feet pushing the container off its back with a loud groan and right when it made eye contact it roared with fury and slammed its spiky tail against the floor causing the room to rumble causing nearly all of us to lose our footing and the floor began to crack underneath us causing it to give way. I barely had enough time to scoot back before I had fallen into the hole before see how large the hole had become blocking our way of getting to the elevator on the other side. I looked back to see the monster starting come running straight for us as I quickly scrambled to my feet helping Leo up. "Boys hold him off, we will try to get us across!", I yelled
"Better be quick before we become flatter than a thin crust pizza pie!", Raph yelled, as he ran towards the beast circling his sai's around his hands
As he and the others ran towards the beast to keep the beast back while we figured out how to get across the huge obstacle. "Babe any ideas?", I asked, looking to my husband
Leo looked around frantically till he snapped his fingers. He ran to Donnie's duffel bag on the ground and he pulled out a grappling hook and rope. Swinging it up over the center of the hole the hook wrapped around a thick high pipe. "Great idea! Leo go across with Splinter, I will make sure everyone gets over safely", I said, resting my hand on his arm
"Right, be careful please", he said, giving my forehead a gentle peck "Come on father"
Leo took a hold of Splinter in his arm as he swung over the hole and landed safely on the other side. "Calli!", Leo yelled, throwing the rope back as I caught it
"Come on guys! Move it or lose it!", I yelled, looking back over my shoulder
"I'm moving! I'm moving!", Mikey said, as he ran towards me
As I handed him the rope he took off swinging yelling like Tarzan before making it over with the others. "Donnie you are up!", I called out
Donnie used his staff to catapult over the monsters tail right before it had the chance to crush him flat and came running to me. "Thanks sis, I owe you one", Donnie said
"You owe me three but who is counting!", I said "Now go!"
He took off with a run and swung over as Leo and Splinter grabbed a hold of him pulling him to safety, before Leo threw back the rope. "Hurry you guys!", Leo said
"Raph come on bro! Let's get out of here!", I yelled
"I am trying sis but its kind of hard when you got a monster blocking your path! Out of my way boulder head!", he said, throwing a hard side punch to its head
But the monster got a hold of his sai and began to shake him around side to side like a ragdoll. I gasped in horror and I held the rope down using Donnie's duffel bag and ran to help my brother. "Hold on Raph! I am coming!", I yelled
"And not a moment too soon!", he said
I reached into my belt and grabbed a smoke bomb and threw it right at the side of the monsters face causing a smoke explosion, making it roar in pain as it released Raph from its grip. I helped him get to his feet before we both ran towards the edge of the hole. The monster shook off my attack as the smoke began to clear up and began to charge towards us. "Swing for it!", I said, as I grabbed the duffel bag swinging it over my shoulder
We grabbed on to the rope with Raph holding on to me with his arm. "Later you ugly mug!", Raph yelled
But before we could even swing even a foot the monster, apparently grabbed a hold of the rope in its mouth and snapped the rope in half, causing us both to fall through the hole. We both screamed as we went falling down below but looking down I saw another thick pipe we could land on. "Prepare for the ouch!", I said
"What?! What ouch?", Raph said
We both landed on top of the pipe with both of us bouncing one on top of the other before we skidded to a halt with me landing on my plastron right above Raph, knocking the wind out of me. "Oh that ouch", he said, sitting up with a grunt "I am hoping I didn't crush you did I Calli?"
"No I am fine, just bruised, internally as well externally", I said, sitting up with my legs on either side of the pipe, rubbing my shoulder
"Calli! Raph! Are you two okay?", Leo yelled, from above
"We are okay Leo, we are down here!", I called out "We will try to get back up to you all!"
"I am almost impressed that you have even made it this far, still alive, but not for long", a voice said
Looking down it turns out there was an underground level that lead to another room of the hideout and what could of been worse surprise to see that Dragon Lord's rank leader and his soldiers flooded the room with a huge tank like the one we had faced before aiming the cannon up at us both. "Oh great we are sitting turtles!", Raph said, as I crawled towards him holding him close
"Leonardo!", I yelled
"Guys don't move!", Leo yelled
"What?! Don't move?!", Raph yelled
"Trust me on this!", he yelled back
"I hope you know what are doing!", I said
"Say goodbye, our mortal enemies", the leader said, as the cannon was aimed directly at us
I heard a low growl and looked up to see the monster we were just facing roaring from above and was over the edge but I could see bits and pieces of the floor falling down as it began to give under its weight. "Get ready!", Leo called out
Just then the floor gave out and the monster came crashing down towards us on the pipe and I shoved my brother as hard I could. "Calli! Raph! Move!", Leo yelled
"Oh god! Raph move your tail!", I said, as we barely scrambled out of the way
The monster landed right on the spot we were just on and as a missile was launched from the cannon of the tank, it aimed for the back of the monsters shell. But as it made contact it ricocheted off and aimed right for the tank causing a massive explosion making a pile of debris to come crashing down on the tank and Dragon Lord's army. We both held each other close and tight as the destruction continued on till after a few minutes we were met with silence, we crawled over the edge to see no signs of anyone, allowing me to breathe a sigh of relief. "Hey you guys! Need a lift?", Mikey asked, reaching down with his hand
"Yeah get us the shell of out here", Raph said, as he took it
Leo and Mikey helped us both of out of the hole as Leo and I embraced, trying to catch my breath from the whole ordeal. "Are you okay honey?", Leo asked, as he rubbed my shell
"One things for sure, we don't get paid enough to take this kind of abuse", I said, with a light chuckle
Leo chuckled as well, before holding me closer to him. "I hate to interrupt but we are about to have another clone encounter!", Donnie said
The two other monsters we had defeated earlier were coming around from their state, the one with six arms hissed pinching all six arm pinchers and the other stomped his feet while snapping its large beak as they approached the giant hole. "Oh sewer bunnies!", I said
"Relax guys they can't get across that big hole! Haha!", Mikey said, blowing a raspberry mocking the clones "What you gonna do now suckers?!"
But despite the huge length of the hole they jumped through the air and flew across the sky and landed right on the edge of the other side, right in front of us. "You and your big mouth Mikey", Leo said, with an annoyed tone
"How would I know they would be that persistent?", Mikey asked
"They have our sisters DNA dummy, she is that stubborn", Raph said
"Excuse me?! I am standing right here you know?", I said, crossing my arms cocking them an eyebrow
"Enough! Children head for the doors!", Splinter said, as he kicked the six armed monster in the chest
As the other one reached for Splinter I ran up and kneed him in the throat causing it to gasp for breath before I roundhouse kicked him away. Splinter gave me a proud look as I nodded with approval. As we all ran for the now open doors piling inside, the doors quickly shut blocking us from the monsters outside as we leaned against the wall to rest. "Okay, note to self never to mess with you when you are pissed off, to think if you can be like that with your blood", Raph said, nudging my shoulder "And I thought I was bad"
I rolled my eyes with annoyance with a grumble. Suddenly a loud hard pounding came on to the elevator doors and six hands began to pry the doors open by force. "Hold on I got it!", Donnie said
Donnie took out a shuriken similar like the ones we use on missions and attached a beeping red light device to it, throwing it at the door, causing the doors to electrocute both the monsters as they fell to the ground twitching in pain. "That won't hold them for long", Donnie said
"Looks like we go up!", I said, taking my katana out
I took my katana and opened the escape hatch on top of the ceiling of the elevator. "Everybody fall out, double time!", I said, jumping out
I grabbed a hold of Leo as we helped the others climb up and I shut the hatch close as we felt the ceiling beneath our feet shake violently as the monsters broke through. "What now sis?", Donnie asked
I looked up to see the weight cables for the elevator that were going high up in the air and ran towards one and grabbed a hold of it. "Guys grab on to the cable and hang on, this is going to be a hell of a ride!", I said
The clones started to bang harder on the hatch to get through as the others raced for the cable each grabbing on to it. The six armed monster managed to break through crawling through like a creepy crawly while the other one got stuck pushing its huge head through. "We have lift off!", I yelled, as I cut the cable
The elevator went plummeting down to the depths below as we went flying up, as we picked up faster and faster with speed screaming till we reached closer to the ceiling. "Fall off in three, two, one, now!", I yelled
The elevator exploded as it collided with the ground and sent the cable above our heads to go limp whipping us all off into different directions as we held on the metal walls with all our strength we had as the dust settled. "My children are you alright?", Splinter asked
"Never better father", I said, with a hearty laugh
"Yeah let's do that again!", Mikey said
"I think I'd rather take the stairs", Leo said, as he climbed up to the elevator doors and prying them open with his hands
He helped Splinter climb through as we jumped to the other side landing inside another room, only this one was empty with golden dragon pillars and a large dragon symbol tapestry at the very end of the hallway. "April, any idea where we are now? This room doesn't give me good vibes", I said
"I am trying to find something but there is a glitch on the schematics on the floor you are on", April said, as I heard her typing away
"Can you find anything that can get us a way up? A stairwell preferably, I think we have all had enough with trap doors and elevators for one day", I said
"Nada, I am afraid you are on your own this time", she said "Sorry"
"Turtle luck really running true to form this time, don't worry girl we will figure out something, just keep us posted", I said
Master Splinter walked forward and sniffed the air letting his whiskers twitch around. "What is it sensei?", Leo asked
"I sense something, more traps, we must proceed with caution", he said
"Jeez more traps? These guys could compete with Kevin from Home Alone with this amount", Mikey said
"Move forward my children, use the training I have taught you", Splinter said
Splinter jumped up and bounced against the pillars across from one another before flipping down to the doors on the other side. "No trap is stopping me this time!", Raph said, taking off running straight through the hallway
"Raph! Wait! Looks can be-", I said
But before I could finish my sentence, I saw Raph's foot had pressed down on a tile and a loud gong had sounded before several large axes and spinning saws came swaying down through the cracks in the wall. He was able to dodge and flip past them before landing on another tile, making me flinch and gasp at the sight seeing the floor fall through revealing nothing but sharp pointed spikes. He manage to flip across before he landed safely on the other side with Splinter. "Deceiving", I said, finishing
"Perhaps Callista is not the only one who is stubborn now Raphael", Splinter said, tapping Raph's head with his walking stick
"Hey! I made it through in one piece!", he said
"No sweat Master, we got this!", Mikey said, easily dodging the swaying blades "Mikey got game! In your face puny blades you got to do better than that!"
"This is going to be the death of me", I said, rubbing my face with my hand
"Go Mikey! Go Mikey! Go! Go! Go Mikey!", Mikey said, as he danced along the blades avoiding any contact with the sharpness before making it through the other side
As Leo, Donnie and I made through the obstacles taking every precaution we could to avoid getting injured, we landed safely in front of the others. "You two are just lucky you didn't become a kabob or a tender turtle loin running through it the way you did", I said
"Well maybe we are just that good", Mikey said, with a smirk
"Don't let foolish speak from your mouth Mikey, it could just be the end of you", I said, moving along forward
But what I hadn't realized is that I stepped on a tile that cause a huge guillotine blade shoot up from the ground barely touching the back of my shell causing me to strain in an uncomfortable position as it descended below the ground. "Like...that", I said, barely being able to speak before falling to my knees in shock
"Oh my god Calli! Are you okay?", Leo asked, in concern, helping me up to my feet
I held on to him immediately trying to find my composure, but when I looked down I gasped to see my braid of my pink bandanna lying on the floor that had been cut from the blade. "Oh great! This was my favorite bandanna no less!", I said, letting go of Leo and grabbing my torn braid in my hands
"Don't worry my love, I came well prepared for that", Leo said, resting his hand on my shoulder as he handed me another one of my pink bandannas
"Awww you are just that good, thank you hun", I said, giving his cheek a kiss
"Come my children, we must move along", Splinter said
As I got my new bandanna on tying my braid over my shoulder, we came to the doors and Leo pushed them open to reveal a dark, foggy, and spooky room inside. Looked like something that you would see in a cemetery dead at night. A Chinese shrine was straight in front of us and as we walked inside we saw creepy hovering bodies and huge grey pillars of stone. They looked like huge dragons draped with capes and big crowns covered their heads, and in each of their hands they held what looked like triton like weapons. Leo held my hand tight as he pulled me to him as we kept moving forward to one of the statues standing on the huge pillar and let his paw graze over the Chinese dragon symbol. "Each of these symbols represents one of the five elements", Splinter said "Earth. Fire. Water. Wind. Metal"
"You know Chinese Splinter?", I asked, surprised
"But of course Shen, my wife, her family had Chinese origins and learned from her important symbols and language", he said
I felt my senses heightened and goosebumps formed along my skin and saw a glow on the back of my arm and I peeked back behind me to see a statue had jumped down from its pillar. "Guys, look", I said, softly, pointing behind me
We pulled out our weapons as we kept a tight circle protecting ourselves on every side. Then more of the statues came to life and jumped down to the ground surrounding us all, letting their own powers come alive. "Okay I thought the clones of me were crazy, but this takes the cake!", I said
"How is this even possible?", Leo asked
"It must be some of an ancient secret of the Dragons have brought to life when they escaped the realm", Donnie said
"Oh jeez you think Donnie? I just thought that they had bought these all online at a discount", Raph said, with annoyance
"And right now I wish there was a return policy!", Mikey said
"Be prepared for anything my children", Splinter said "For these must be their most powerful weapons"
The statues sent white glowing laser beams of light from their tritons sending us flying into different directions into the foggy denseness of the room. "I conquer with your statement Splinter, 100%", I said, helping him sit up
Leo went after the statue of water and using his expert swordsmanship slashed at his opponent, but the blades kept skimming through the liquid of the statue, not even laying any harm to it. "I am getting nowhere fighting with this one!", Leo said, as he kept slashing at the statue
Mikey went up to the one made of metal and roundhouse kicked into the hard material and the sound of his foot making contact with the statue echoed throughout the whole room. "Yeow! Me neither!", he said, rubbing his foot in pain
The fire statue was sending fire balls down towards Donnie and he used his bo staff to propel the fire away by spinning his staff around like a huge fan, before rolling himself out of the way as they made contact with the ground, sending a fire to spread in the common area. As I helped Splinter to his feet giving him his walking stick, the statue of wind came hovering towards us before letting its body spin into a tornado. "Splinter stay down I will handle this one", I said, running towards it
I took out my katana and took a hard swing at it but as it made contact I felt myself being sucked up by the powerful strength of the wind and went spinning around and around like a top. Somehow I manage to reach the top of the tornado, spinning my way along with the wind current and jump down landing gracefully on to my feet. The one statue made of earth had cornered Splinter and he swung his walking stick, knocking it over as if was made of a pile of dust. The earth statue quickly reformed into its human form and struck with its triton into the ground causing huge cracks into the earth beneath causing a strong earthquake to be made as Splinter flipped away, before huge pieces of wall broke off and crushed from where he once stood.
Leo followed the water statue up the steps of the Chinese shrine and sliced once again through the water, but suddenly streams of water were shot from the statue's triton towards him trapping Leo into a huge bubble of water. "Leo!", I yelled running to his aide
He tried punching and kicking at the water but it proved to no avail as it held strong. I took my katana and tried to slice at it but not even my mighty blade had no effect on the liquid. "Calls, its no use, there is no way to get me out of this!", Leo said
"I will fight with everything I got to get you free!", I said
I heard a scream and saw Donnie hiding behind a pillar as the fire statue continued to pelt him with fire balls at him, barely avoiding the devastating element. "There must be a way to fight fire with fire with these guys!", Donnie said
Suddenly I got an idea into my head and I looked behind me to see the hilt of the Sword of Tengu sheathed behind my shell. "Wait, fire with fire? Or magic with magic! Donnie you are a genius!", I said
"Well we already know that! What are you thinking Calli?", he called out
I pulled out the sword slowly and held it front of me, I could feel its powerful darkness and pain, even just from looking at it starting to wash over me again. Holding it nervously in my hands, I wasn't sure if I could do it. Not after finding out what it had already done. Maybe I wasn't strong enough after all to wield it let alone even hold it. "Callista, you can start bringing this sword to its true purpose, bringing justice, you can do this, I believe in you", Leo said, pressing his face and hands the water wall of his bubble prison
I looked towards him before looking back down to the sword again, I could see the image of Shredder starting to form along the blade and his evil laugh began to sound in my ears. But I squinted my eyes shut and shook my head violently, relieving me. When my eyes opened once more, the image was gone and I looked back to Leo, who looked at me with concern. I had to do this, it is my duty to stop this war once and for all and save the world, I slowly got a look of confidence and gave him a smile. "Let's see what good this sword can really do", I said
"That's my girl", Leo said, with a proud smile
I held the sword in my hands and concentrated my energy and the blade began to glow brightly with power. "While we may not conquer these foes our way, but with a little magic we can!", I said
"Go sissy!", Mikey called out, as he avoided a strike from the metal statue
"Splinter get everyone away from the temple!", I yelled, sending a powerful swing out knocking down two of the statues "Hurry!"
Splinter ran gathering my brothers and I ran towards Leo pushing him in his bubble prison and swung the sword again sending another strike of power, to pop the bubble freeing my husband from its confines. Leo shook his body free from the liquid as Splinter and the others ran to gather him, and run off from the temple. As the statues surrounded me I jumped towards the fire statue and sent a wave of the sword, sending the flames to bend backwards and melt the statue behind it. "Fire melts metal!", I said
I flipped backwards and spun around sending another wave of power towards the water statue, causing water to blow off and urn out the fire of the statue behind it. "Water doses fire!", I said
I brought my attention to the earth statue and spun the sword over my head, landing my foot forward shooting out a beam directed towards the statue sending it back, bits and pieces of earth began to suck up the water like a sponge. "Earth soaks up water!", I said "And wind scatters the earth and I will quell the wind!"
The wind statue began to pick up speed forming another powerful strong tornado and I ran towards it with full force and swung the sword once more doing a spin on the ball of my foot towards the statue, sending it flying and crashing against the roof of the temple, making it crash down, pillars becoming bits of rubble and tiles broken and shattered like glass covering the statue underneath the destruction.
I let out a lengthy breath as I let the sword release from my fingers as it toggled to the ground. Falling to my hands and knees after handling such a powerful weapon, I winced in pain seeing blood seep from underneath the palms of my hands. "Callista!", Leo yelled
Through the thick dust I saw the dark outlines of my husband and family run in my direction till they reached my side. "Calli are you okay?", Leo asked, looking at me with concern while he and Mikey helped me sit carefully up
"It hurts...", I said, softly whimpering "My hands..."
"Easy sissy, let me get those bandaged up", Donnie said, taking out medical supplies from his duffel bag
As he carefully opened my palm, we saw the true extent of damage that the sword could do, smoke was slowly rising from the burnt flesh of my skin. The deep scars were bleeding and dripping off the side landing on to the floor. "Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark", Raph said, with a grimace
"Master I thought you said a true master doesn't get injured", Leo said, as Donnie applied some aloe vera on to my palm
"The Sword of Tengu is a potent mix of science and sorcery Leonardo, to grasp the weapon is a mighty advantage but to wield it, though there is a price that has to be paid for its usage", Splinter said
"Wish it could of been a little less evasive, makes me wonder what's in store for us to make it to the top", Donnie said, gently wrapping my hands gently with linen bandages
"If we even make it that far", Raph said
"There no if about it!", I said, slowly getting up to my feet before facing my family "We will make it to Dragon Lord! He has caused us so pain and damage and I am sick and tired of seeing it happen, I will be damned if I have to let us go through with that for one more night! Have you forgotten he nearly took your lives? My life? My children? How we had to hold on barely by a thread when Leo was gone for months? Or having to dealing all those broken bones and second degree burns from all those fights? Because I sure have not and I never will! And I am not going to let an immortal monster who took something so tragic and devastating that happened to me and use it against me to win! I am going to see this battle through to the very bitter end, now are you all with me or not?"
It was silent for a few moments as the words seemed to have sunk in deep that we had to keep going forward, we couldn't give up, not now. Not after everything we have been put through already. Leo walked up to me and gently took a hold of my hand, but it held a firm grip. "No way I am going to let my wife fight this alone, I am with you", Leo said
"I am with you sis", Raph said, walking up
"Me too", Donnie said
"We are all with you Callista!", Mikey said
"We will see this through together, all of us", Master Splinter said, as he rested his paw on my shoulder
"Good to know I still got my best team with me", I said, giving everyone a proud "Girlfriend, any luck finding us a stairwell out of here?"
"Best I can find is a private elevator on the west side of the building but I can't tell if it reaches where you all are located", she said
"Keep looking girl, we will search around and see what we can find", I said
I saw Leo walk up to one of the tarps that held up the water dragon symbol hung over the wall and as he pulled it back he gasped with surprise, then unsheathed his katana and sliced through the silk material to reveal a hidden elevator door. "Guys, over here!", he called out, waving us over
"Alright way to go babe!", I called out, as we ran over "April! Leo found it! Any idea where it takes us?"
"Straight to the top guys, right where you need to be!", April said
"I was hoping for a staircase but this will have to do, hopefully doesn't involve anymore turtle monsters and whiplash", I said, to myself
As we piled inside, we went straight up, this was it, there was no turning back now. The atmosphere itself was heavy but with no friction. I couldn't help but feel a small pocket of nervousness form in my belly as we got higher and higher up to the top of the hideout. A shaky breath quietly escaped my mouth as I felt the warm tender hand of my husband entangle his fingers around mine. "No going back now", I said, softly
I felt him tug at my arm bringing me closer to his side as his other hand moved under my chin bringing me to face his calm facial expression, his chocolate brown eyes bore into my soul, relieving me briefly of the fear of the upcoming battle. "I know you are scared, I am too, ", Leo said "
"I know, this won't be easy, not by any means, I only pray in my heart and soul that everything we have learned, gained in both skills and knowledge will be enough", I said "Leonardo I need you to promise me something"
"What is it?", he asked, curiously
"I may not make it out of this one alive", I said
"Calli-", Leo said, sounding surprised
"Shhhh wait let me finish", I said, resting my hand on his chest, over his beating heart "I may die tonight, because I will not continue to live in fear. I hate the fact that I am using an enemies weapon to take down another, one that has ties to my terrible nightmare, but I can't let this control our destiny of keeping our home and family safe. This ends tonight and I will not stop till he is dead. If something should happen to me, I want you to keep our clan going just as strong as it is now and teach our girls everything you have learned, they will need to know everything to be successful just like their daddy"
"Callista, you won't die", Leo said, gripping my shoulders tightly "I won't allow it, that's not going to happen, I won't allow him to take away the reason my heart beats, the air I breathe and the reason I live my life to the fullest, I can't-"
"If I should not make it, do you promise me?", I asked, softly letting my hands cover the top of his own
Leo looked uneasy at my statement and he let his eyes wonder away from me, I knew this was not something he was wanting to hear, but I wanted to prepare him for what could possibly happen. I didn't want to die, but I would if I had to ensure everyone's safety and to bring this darkness and destruction to an end. I was ready to face anything that was going to be thrown at me and I would face it with pride and honor. "Leo?", I said, softly
He slowly turned himself back to face me and brought me into a tight embrace and I could hear him sniffle slightly in my ear. I hugged him close to my heart as I buried my head into his neck. "I will, I promise you", he said, softly
"Thank you", I whispered
We heard the rumbling sound of the elevator slowing down and we came to a stop. "We are here, no matter what happens tonight, I have never been more proud of you all, my ninja, and my children", Splinter said
The doors slowly opened and everyone piled out leaving me and Leo alone for a brief moment and I slowly left our embrace, giving him a sad smile. "Are you ready?", I asked
"More than ever", Leo said, with a look of determination "Let's do this!"
We gave each other a peck before we ran out after the rest of our family, moving our way towards the front of the group, our weapons drawn ready to take on anything. It was quiet, too quiet, even with the faint sound of the wind blowing from outside, the night sky was calm, there was a heavy presence that could be felt all around. A tight feeling in my chest squeezed around my heart making my breathing unsteady as we moved forward. But suddenly clouds of smoke exploded all around us causing us to step back in retreat, then the sinister laugh of someone we all know too well echoed through the thickness and shadows began to emerge. As the smokiness began to dissipate Dragon Lord's army appeared surrounding the entire half of the rooftop. "There is so many", Donnie said, softly
"It looks like the whole army", Mikey said
"Don't show fear, they will sense it, keep composure", I said, quietly
"We can do this, we are all in this together!", Leo said
The army growled lowly, some holding the same triton weapons, some held spears and some just blew angry fire from their nostrils and mouths. They all looked stronger and bolder than before, they were prepared for was coming. "What are they waiting for?", Raph asked
"Orders", I said, softly
"Fitting", a sharp voice said
Dragon Lord stepped forward from the back of the army, the tip of his huge sharp sword scrapped the concrete. The sound of his heavy metal boots made each step he took slowly closer towards us made my heart race faster, but I didn't let my fear show. He doesn't scare me anymore. He stopped about halfway in the center of the rooftop and that's when I made my way forward from the group. "You all manage to make it through everyone of my traps, a wise one would think to give up before facing me", he said
"Hmph what's so wrong haven't we been your main focus all along?", I asked, in a low tone stopping dead in my tracks "Thought you wanted us dead"
"Didn't think you would have the guts to face your inevitable demise, but you have surprised me", Dragon Lord said "But I can assure you after all the encounters you have faced, you will not survive this one"
"You think so? Well we got something you want", I said, unsheathing the Sword of Tengu as it began to glow brightly with power "And I will be using it for its true propose, to end your reign of terror!"
"The sword?! So it looks like I am not the only true master who can wield its power!", Dragon Lord said "You freaks have disgraced my clan for years and I will not let you disgrace me no more, I will make sure every single last one of my enemies is vanquished even if it brings my own death"
"So be it, we will both die, but only one of us with honor!", I said
Those words seemed to have sparked the flame as he stomped forward, our eyes locked dead set on each others. "Dragons...leave no reptile alive! Bring me the sword! Attack!", Dragon Lord yelled, pointing his triton towards us
"Kogeki!", I yelled, pointing the sword towards the army
As we charged towards our enemies, everything had slowed down all around me and became alarmingly quiet, so quiet I could hear the sound of my heart thumping in my ear drum. I looked side by side to my family, running alongside me, with looks of determined bravery, weapons grasped tightly in their fists. I slowly faced forward to meet my opponent the one who had started this war, his red eyes glowing with hatred, fire shooting out from his cavity with the same amount of ferocity that he has towards my clan from the very beginning. But it didn't matter anymore, we have battled this threat for too long and it now must come to an end. As Dragon Lord swung his mighty sword towards me, I made contact with his with the Sword of Tengu and with that move, it was now life or death, for us all.
