Hi everyone, sorry for the delay. I was trying to figure out where this chapter should go and for the next, so lots of planning to go for the next chapters to come. Plus, I'm also working so I'm trying to balance things all. I can't believe I'm late! I'm so sorry

But, thank you so much for everyone's responses! They are awesome and motivates me so much!

I want to give a head up as well for everyone. Some people requested me to have certain characters involved in the fic, however, I can't just insert without a specific reason or if I think they shouldn't be in the story as some MCU would do. And even if I do insert them, that means that they are required, but there could be a chance that they won't be there for too long. I hope you all understand. But this doesn't mean that I'm not open to suggestions, some of your ideas, I implemented them here.

Also, I think some didn't know, but I would sometimes add in post-credits after my notes. So, stick around until the end!

That said, enjoy!

"Relax, boy," Loki reminded Billy again as he is trying to create his own barrier of magic, "The barrier won't be able to expand if you force your way, let your powers slowly flow out first. Get used to that feeling, understood?"

"Yes sir," Billy nodded, doing all his best to concentrate on the bubble he tries to create in front of him. The blue mist turned a little larger, the size of a thin doormat, and then it spreads a little wider.

"Good, keep that up. Concentrate on its depth, a shield is no use if it can't block an attack," Loki clapped the boy's shoulder before turning to his brother, "As for you, Tommy. We are going to test your limit."

"My limit?"

"Yes, you may be able to run fast. But for how long?" Loki said, "There may be a time that you are going to need to run as fast as you can…."

"As fast as I can?" the child's eyes widened with joy as if he's allowed to release all his powers.

"Yes, boy. As fast as you can," Loki stated as he conjured a human dummy as tall as the boy, "You are, after all, dealing with people like me and speed is your strength. You're going to need to give it your all."

"Alright!" Tommy whooped with so much joy, "What must I do?"

"First, I'm going to have to test your stamina," he stated, conjuring a sport stopwatch, "I want you to pretend that this dummy is an enemy. Every time you land a blow at him, circle the training ground, and then give him another good hit. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

Tommy furrowed his little brows, "A little."

"Basically, we want to prevent him from reacting," Loki said, he had seen how sometimes he ran a little too much, but his mother and brother were able to catch him. Perhaps he might be able to dodge just that, "I want you to hit him hard until it falls, and then you circle the ground once before the dummy landed on the floor, then give it another hit to make it stay up in the air. In a way, it's like you hit your enemy before they could even react."

"Oh, I get it now," Tommy's eyes sparkled at the realization, "Okay, I'm ready."

Loki nodded, "Let's see how long you can last in three minutes?"

The kid gave him a confident grin, "Make it five, sir."

The God of Mischief scoffed, "Okay, let's see what you can do in five…." But before he could even finish his countdown, the boy charged the dummy with lightning speed and circled the ground, and repeated the process. From afar, it looked as if the dummy is hit by an invincible force. This child is way too pumped for this.

He sighed as he placed his hands in his pockets, watching the twins train their own ways. He's neither enjoying nor disliking taking them under his wing, but until when? Besides, isn't their mother here?

"I've never seen them so pumped on training," speak of the devil, Loki turned back to see Wanda approaching them, her hands in the pockets of her jacket, "You know, you could actually be a great teacher for them both."

"Don't," he murmured, since the beginning, he's been reluctant to be a teacher. He's not even good with children, the last thing he wants is more children to teach, "I'm just doing what I can for them to make them stop worrying right in front of me," he turned back to watch the twins ever so pumped and excited to reach their maximum potential. He's not even sure what else can they do.

Wanda gave him a warm smile, "I know, but nether less, I'm grateful that you are willing to do this for them. They looked very happy."

Loki pursed his lips and could only nod. He did not want to be a father figure for them, just a friend would suffice. No more than that. He cleared his throat, "Well, Ma'am," he began, "Since you are here, don't you want to train your little chicks instead of me?"

"Oh, no. I don't know how to teach, I've never really been given any sorts of formal education since…...well," she looked away sadly, seemingly not wanting to finish her sentence. She sighed, "The only teacher I ever had was Steve and Natasha. But they taught me how to sneak around, not the magic part."

"I see," Loki hummed, "So you learned magic on your own?"

"Yea and I had to learn it the hard way," she said, "Back when I was with Hydra, and The Avengers, no one was there to be able to show me the ropes on these things," she lifted her hand and let a ball of red sparks float out of her hand, "I ended up getting a lot of things wrong and jeopardize missions," she said sadly, Loki could pick up a sad tone from her voice, "No one was there to teach me about all these magic things, that is until I read the book about the Darkhold that Agatha showed me."

Loki nodded, understanding where she's getting at, "Did it help?"

"I wasn't able to understand a lot of things until Strange came in," the red spark faded slowly and she slipped her hand back into her pocket and watched her twins, "It was a long time until I know what I was capable of, what I can actually do," she confessed, "Sometimes, I wish I know how to control this power earlier so that I can understand my strength and protect the people I love. Maybe even save them," she smiled sadly, her eyes looked distant.

Loki sadly nodded, he too wished that he could change a certain past, but….

I think it's best to leave the past in the past, Loki. A prince does not look back, only ahead. His mother's voice rang in his head whenever he thought about it in the past, he wonders if she had ever experienced what he had as well, that's why she told him this.

He opened his mouth, "As you said, life is fragile. We've done what we could, but…." He looked at her, "We can't change the past, but we certainly can change the future."

Wanda looked at him, "And this time, no TVA to change that course."

He chuckled, "Yea, that as well."

She turned back to watch her kids, "This is the future that I want to protect." Loki turned back to the twins, who are so laser-focused on their tasks. They have their mother's spirit. "I don't want them to experience what I've gone through, I want them to have what I never had. That's why I'm so grateful that you are willing to see to their training."

Aside from Sylvie and Thor, this is the first time someone else would open up to him about their worries. And of all people, is the one who can manifest chaos. Perhaps, deep down, in every powerful people, there will always be fear that lies within everyone. Even himself.

"I suppose, we all must prepare what's to come. Even your kids," Loki said sheepishly, not really comfortable with the compliments he has been getting. He looked back at his watch, it's close to five minutes. He turned to the super speed boy, his whooshes are getting a little slower, "Alright, Tommy, you can stop now."

At that mention, the boy slowed down in his direction, panting hard. He's all sweaty, green clothes plastered with his sweat. He lowered his back, resting his upper body as he brought his hands to his knees, looking up at him, "How did I do?" he asked, trying to catch his breath.

"Not bad, for almost five minutes. That's 5 minutes for you."

"Really?" Tommy looked happy.

"Yes, but that means that you are going to need to increase your stamina. You look tired already for five minutes."

"But I'm not tired," the boy quickly straightened his back, "I can go again."

"No, don't kid," Loki firmly stated, he conjured a bottle of Pocari Sweat and handed it to him, "We don't want you to force yourself. Otherwise, that will only slow you down. And we don't want that."

"But…." Tommy wanted to protest again.

"Tommy, baby," Wanda chimed in, "Listen to what Loki said. We don't want you to be too tired for your next one, don't we?"

The child pouted, "Fine."

She gave him a soft smile, "Good boy. I'd kiss your head, but you are all covered in a lot of sweat. Do you bring your towel as Loki asked you yesterday?"

Tommy's eyes widened at the reminder. He zoomed inside in a blink of an eye and came back with a green and blue towel, "Yes, Mom."

Wanda gave her a small warning glare, and took the blue towel, Loki presumed that it belongs to his brother, "I'll let you slide this time, mister."

The boy rubbed his face and hair with his green towel, "Sorry, Mom."

Loki then turned to the other boy, who is still struggling to create his magic shield. His little shield turned to mistic static instead, as if barely even able to hold up together, "How are we doing here, kid?"

Billy sighed loudly, his powers immediately disappeared, "I can't do it," He groaned as if going to cry. He's not even the one running but he's also sweating, "It's so hard, I can't make a big shield like you did."

"Then you're going to have to make it your own," Loki replied.

"But it's so small, just the size of my head," he looked at him, then he created another one, and just as he said, the blue mist shield he summoned could only grow as big as his head, "I don't know what else to do, I've done all I can."

"Hey, calm down child," Loki shushed him, "You are worrying too much, don't be distracted by your fear or incapability."

"But that's really all I can do, Loki," he looked so defeated where he sat, "I can't do it the way you did."

I want to make magic like you, mother, Loki felt like he was in a DeJa'Vu. He could've sworn it was yesterday when he said this to his mother. And all she told him was, you'll do your magic just like you.

It's funny how life prepared him for this moment. Loki sat beside him, "Billy," he began, "Let's try it again one more time, okay? This time, with me," The child nodded, "Now, lift your hand and show me that magic one more time."

"Yes sir," Billy obeyed, he lifts his hand again and conjured his blue mist from his fingertips.

"Close your eyes," he instructed, the boy obeyed, "Breath, focus, relax," Loki calmly said, "Don't let anything distract your mind. Don't think about how big your shield must be…."

Billy's eyes snapped open, and he immediately looked at him with wide eyes, "But you said…."

"What did I just say, boy?" Loki lightly scolded him, "Don't let anything distract your mind, forget them all."

He nodded, "okay."

"Don't think about how big your shield must be, just feel your power, let the energy flow like water. Don't think, follow your instinct as I told you yesterday."

Billy sighed and did as he'd instructed. His little brows kneaded together, and his blue mists began encircling his fingertips and swirled around, but suddenly there were statics around it as if it's going to fail. The boy opened his eyes, "Oh no, not again…."

"Wait, wait, hold it. Relax, don't let that distract you from creating that barrier," Loki calmed him down, "It's just a phase, don't let that distract you. Keep going."

"But…"

"Trust me, Billy," Loki said without thinking, "Close your eyes. Have a little faith in yourself."

The boy obeyed. He closed his eyes and focused the energy on him. The static began to minimize, and it turned back to a mist, the thin cloud then began to spread a little bigger and bigger to the point that it reached its whole size.

Loki turned back to the boy, "Billy, you can open your eyes now."

The boy nervously lifted one of his eyelids then another, he blinked. His eyes widened at the realization of what he had just done and gasped, "I did this?"

"Bright as day, boy," Loki began to stand up, "Now try standing up."

The boy did as he was told, then the mist he conjured followed his size and it spreads bigger than it could've enveloped him, "Wow!"

His brother jogged towards him, "Wow, Billy. I didn't know you can do that!"

Loki conjured several rocks, "Your barrier is made to protect you from any harm if summoned correctly and precisely," he waved his hand and the rocks attacked Billy.

"Hey wait!" Billy exclaimed. But the rocks flew in his direction already….

And bounced on his barrier, it dropped and clattered on the ground lifelessly, one of them rolled to his feet. Billy blinked, looking surprised.

Loki picked one up, "Since this is your first time, the barrier may still need work. The people of mystics here created a barrier, however, for yours, following your mother's powers, it's not supposed to be a barrier but a force field."

The boy looked at him, "Force field?"

He turned to Wanda, "Madam, would you like a little demonstration on how you made your own protection force field?" This could be an opportunity as well for her to teach her kids instead of him.

"So, it's called a force field, huh?" she draped Billy's towel on her shoulder. Wanda waved her hand and a mist of red dome engulfed all four of them together.

Loki then turned to the boy, "This was what I meant to create your own shield. You were struggling on your first try so I thought of something small for you to try."

"Wow," Billy looked around the field that his mother made, really taking it in before it faded, "But how will I be able to create something this big?"

"Well, you'll never know if you don't try," Loki replied, "You're just going to have to experiment with everything."

Billy hummed, "But how will I know what I'm capable of?"

Loki gestured to Wanda like it's the most obvious thing to do, "Which is why I told you in the first place that your mother can teach you all that. You're his son, am I wrong?"

Wanda gave him an annoying glare, "You're just trying to give me all the work, aren't you?"

He shrugged, "You're his mother."

"Can you teach me, Mom?" Billy came up to her, "I want to be strong like you."

The Scarlet Witch couldn't help but suppress a smile, "You are going to be just as strong as you are, sweety," and she strokes his hair, which is thankfully not as wet as his brother. The boy giggled in content.

At least he still has his mother around to teach, Loki thought. Sylvie once told him that she taught herself magic if she had learned with her mother, but…. she must've felt so lost on how to figure them out. Just like Billy. He wonders if she had trained under her mother, would she have surpassed his own magic?

Will she choose the path he took?

"I'm sure Loki can help guide you as well," the mention of his name broke his train of thoughts. The family all looked at him in delight, "You'll still train them, right?"

Loki lifted his brow, this minx.

But just as he was about to answer, the sound of a portal opening interrupted them.

They all turned to the source, to find Dr. Strange coming through the portal. "Wanda, Loki."

Loki straightened his back, "Strange," he greeted back coolly, "What news?"

"We may have a lead on Mordo," He replied, "You may want to hear this."

"Where are you?" Wanda asked, peering through the portal.

"New York' Sanctum," he answered, "We found someone who gave us a lead to him, but he was attacked."

Loki and Wanda exchanged glances, someone was attacked? Just what did this guy want from them? They both turned to Strange again, "Alright," Loki said, "We'll go with you."

"We wanna come too!" Tommy chimed in, getting the adults' attention. Loki had forgotten that the kids are still here, "We're ready!"

Strange gave them a strict look, "Children are forbidden for this."

Wanda crouched to meet their eye level, "Kids, this is something that we grown-ups need to discuss together. It won't be long, but this is something that we have to handle."

Billy took one step forward, he gave her the same concerned eyes he showed when he was in Loki's room the other day, "But I wanna stay with you. Please?"

The Scarlet Witch was at a loss of words, she must've understood his feelings about her. She strokes his hair, "I'll be back soon, sweety. Besides, I have your best teacher here to have my back," she turned to Loki with a smile, making him look the other way.

The twins turned to each other, looking as if they are almost convinced. But then they still looked hesitant, and Wanda is clearly running out of ideas to make them stay.

The God of Mischief wracked his brain, trying to help so that they all can move on. Gods, now he understands how his parents find him and Thor so annoying. Then, something clicked into his mind, but she might not like it.

Forgive me, Sylvie, "Boys," he cleared his throat, "Why don't you check in with Sylvie at my steed until we get back?" The twins, and even Wanda, looked at him quizzically. He sighed, "I am uncertain how long we'll be out, but I don't like to leave her alone here when I'm away. And I'd like someone to help me make sure that she's okay…..well….keep her company until we're back. Just to make sure these magicians here don't bug her."

Loki thought he heard Dr. Strange grumbled, but he shrugged it off. He needs to make them stay and seeing how Sylvie's mood has improved as of late, perhaps seeing someone else other than him and Wanda could help her as well.

The twins looked at each other, then turning back to both adults. Billy started, "She won't mind if we stay with her? To keep the mean magicians away?"

Loki felt like he's regretting permitting them, but what choice do they have? "Just don't give her a headache, okay?"

"Okay," Billy's face lit up. Tommy agreed by nodding eagerly at both adults.

"Good," Wanda clapped, "Shower first boys, you don't want to smell bad in front of her."

"Yes, Mom," they both said, then Tommy grabbed his brother's hand and they both zoomed out of the ground.

"Good," Strange chimed, and turned back to the portal, "Now come with me."

Loki and Wanda followed them to wherever he's taking them. He rubbed his face along the way, "Oh, I hope she's not mad at me for this."

Wanda giggled at his reaction, "I'm sure Sylvie wouldn't mind their company."

He scoffed, "So long as they stay out of trouble."

Peter Parker wasn't sure why he'd get a call from Wong when he picked up his phone. To be honest, he wasn't even sure how he got his phone number. Did Mr. Stark gave him before he….well…. But what he knew, Mr. Stark had never really associated with wizards.

It wasn't his first time he worked with Dr. Strange ever since the fight with Thanos. He had helped him when bad guys from another universe began attacking him, they had thought that he's the Spiderman from that universe until his other versions showed up.

This multiverse thing just got weirder and weirder. They did return to their own worlds, but that still hasn't stopped the whole thing to be intact. For the mastermind behind this multiverse, the thing is still out there creating havoc, colliding worlds, and sparking wars.

He can't let that happen, not when Mr. Stark had died to protect this world. He can't let his sacrifice be in vain.

And now here he is, in the sanctum, waiting for Dr. Strange's friends as he instructed. He shifted nervously on the sofa, just waiting. Wong is helping to adjust his friend, Jonathan Pangborn, to his wheelchair. When he first found him, he was in a bad shape, unable to get up. That was why he had to go to the sanctum for help because he was completely disabled.

A spark from thin air appeared and expanded, turning into a portal. And out came Dr. Strange…and Wand and Loki!

Loki was the biggest surprise for him, his green Asgardian clothing/tunic made him look royally frightening like Anakin Skywalker! But minus the cape.

And not only was he the one who nearly invaded the world, but now he's on their side! He was close to web him up, but after seeing Thor and Wanda alongside him, perhaps he had a change of heart. And he didn't seem to make invasion his priority, he was focusing on finding someone missing.

And the person Loki was looking for seemed to be someone very important to him, to the point that he wanted to save her from the mastermind.

He's not sure if he had found her yet, but by the looks of it, perhaps he did.

Peter immediately stands up on his feet and approached them, "Hi again, Dr. Strange," Then he looked at Loki and Wanda, "Hi Wanda, and umm…" for this particular one, he was nervous around Loki, "Sir Loki."

He waved it off, and casually, "Parker," he remembered him! This got him even more nervous. Loki then turned to Wanda, "I swear everywhere I go, it's like an orphanage. So many kids."

"Oh, lighten up will you," Wanda casually brushed him off, "We're training the future."

"Everyone," Dr. Strange boomed, gaining everyone's attention, "I'd like you all to meet Jonathan Pangborn," he gestured to the man on the wheelchair, Wong helped push it to their view, "He was attacked by Karl Mordo after he left us."

"Was there a particular reason?" Loki asked.

"Yes," Jonathan said, "After he took my ability to walk, he told me that there are too many sorcerers. That we all are perverting nature."

The wizards all looked at each other in concern. If these powerful people are nervous, Peter couldn't imagine what it'd be like for him. He wished Mr. Stark was here to talk things through, maybe find a way.

"How ironic when he was the one doing it himself," Loki scoffed.

"Jonathan," Wanda called the middle-aged man, "are there any chances that you might know where he ran off to?"

He shook his head, "I don't know about his whereabouts, however," he added, "When he took my powers, a part of his magical signature was marked in me."

Loki furrowed his brows, "How do you know that?"

"The Ancient One taught me one more thing should someone take my powers," he said, "I was afraid that one day, someone will take it. So, I told my concerns too. What she taught me is that whoever will take my powers for greed, it'll mark the person's trait. In this case, their magic."

"And no one else taught you this?" Dr. Strange asked.

He shook his head, "This was a last-minute training before I was released," he murmured, "The Ancient One must've seen something. I don't know what, but she taught it to me in my room just before I was leaving. That was why no one knew."

"I see," The Sorcerer supreme hummed, "May we take a look?"

He nodded, "By all means, Strange."

Dr. Strange released two circles mystic magic from his hands, it then extended from its forms, becoming a long glowing line and floated towards Mr. Pangborn. The magic swayed around him for a moment before slowly slipping inside him like a ghost. The magic line then appeared behind his back, this time, carrying something like a yellow paper. The line pierced it through, making it stuck.

The wizard waved his hands around, and the line began to circle above everyone's head, the center then formed a misty projection. And an image appeared, showing the face of a young black man with a hood.

"There he is," Mr. Pangborn said, "That's definitely him."

"I've never seen him before," Peter murmured, not remembering him during the battle with Thanos. There were so many magicians there, if he was there, he should know.

"What are you planning at, Mordo," Dr. Strange mumbled, he then waved his hand again, and the image blurred. It switched to another scene, something recognizable and familiar at the same time.

There, they found him using some kind of magic. Something like Dr. Strange's but it looks dark, for dark mists are flowing around it. Peter had never seen such darkness, "Emm…..what is he doing?"

"So that's what triggered Mephisto," Dr. Strange said.

"Mephisto?" Loki repeated his word, he sounded much more surprised now, "What's this got to do with him?"

"It turns out," Dr. Strange began, "That he was in contact with the dark entity, just as we hypothesized. He was the one who tried to wake him up, however, that too needed a greater power," with a flick of his wrist, he summoned a file with the label at the front that wrote 'TVA'. He opened it and began scanning its contents, "After looking through the files that your friend gave us, and cross-checking each of his histories, this was the one that seemed to match to the description that Wanda's child saw."

"And what did it say?" Wanda asked.

"He was trying to summon Mephisto, but to wake him up, he needed the Power of Wakening, which you now possess," he explained, Peter gulped at the term, it sounded frightening already, "However, he was not able to complete his tasks because you went missing after your little internal war with the Avengers. You hid well that he couldn't find you. And then, the snap happened."

"Which delayed his goal," Loki guessed, "and when he's snapped back to existence, he continued his plan and teamed up with Kang, didn't he?"

"He first teamed up with Agatha Harkness," Dr. Strange corrected, "He knew that Wanda could detect his magic, after all, his magic is basically like ours. If he had appeared first before her, she'll go straight to me, and we'd be hunting her already. But no, he's far cleverer than that," he grumbled, "He made Agatha go after her instead. But that too wasn't enough, for Wanda defeated her. And that's when Kang comes into the picture."

The Scarlet Witch furrowed her brow, "Kang gave him powers?"

"Something like that," he murmured, he snapped his hand and his magic line snaked towards his arm, handing him the misty yellow paper, "I'm detecting another source of energy from him. Something more sinister and…..mad."

"What are you getting at, Strange?" Loki asked with a firm voice.

"In the documents, it wrote that he was in contact with Kang, who introduced him to another entity that could enter dreams. And from what I can conclude, this entity must be Nightmare."

Peter's eyes widened in shock at the realization, "So there are two ghosts now?"

"Not quite," Dr. Strange corrected him, "At this very moment, Mephisto is still asleep. However, because Mordo has triggered its awakening, his consciousness went as his steed and it managed to reach out to him. That consciousness is called Nightmare," then he turned to Wanda with a grim face, "And that's why he made contact with your children, Wanda."

Wanda's mouth hung open slightly, looking very disturbed, "What do my children have anything to do with this?" Her voice turned dark, darker than he'd ever heard from any woman.

"Nightmare must've known about the birth of your children," he said, "And that is through the Power of Wakening. You were able to revive Vision and brought life to the world with your power. That is the power Mephisto needed to wake up."

"But why contacting my children instead of me?" She desperately asked.

"If I'm right, you may want to keep your children close," Dr. Strange said, "There is a chance that he wants your children, particularly Billy, as a bargaining chip."

Wanda's eyes widened at this theory, "They're coming for my children just to capture me?"

He nodded, "That may be the case," he said, "I don't know if he knows where we are now. His powers seemed to….change. The signature magic that we have now seemed old, its energy flickers very weakly as if it's overwritten. Alongside the documents, you gave me, Loki. I fear that…." he stuttered, unable to finish.

"What is it?" Loki asked.

He took a deep breath, "I fear that Nightmare may have erased his memories and turned him into a completely different person," he said, "That is why we have not been able to find him the way we found you."

"How is that possible? No man can change who they are," Loki exclaimed.

"Perhaps," Dr. Strange agreed, "However, no one can change how a mind can function. That is why we have people in this world who have split personalities, we call them dissociative identity disorder."

Peter heard about this before at school, he tried to recall it, "Isn't that a mental illness? Where one person can have multiple personalities."

Dr. Strange nodded, "Correct, Mr. Parker. From what I know, Mordo never had one, Wong confirmed this to me. However, after he met Nightmare, he must've given him that multiple personalities, which is why when I read the documents, right after he met Nightmare, it was empty," the document floated towards the three of them, and Peter had to peer carefully not to be close to Wanda or Loki. But thanks to his enhanced senses, he was able to make out a few words from the files. Wanda and Loki, on the other hand, are very absorbed in this information.

"That's impossible," Loki grabbed the document and re-read it again, "The TVA kept records on everyone's lifetime. Even until death."

"Perhaps," Dr. Strange said, "However, with the multiverse going now, anything could happen. But I have another theory to this..."

"If you dare speak of her again…." Loki lowly growled, making Peter shudder. Her? Who is it?

"Don't worry, I'm not. It's different this time," Dr. Strange calmly said, "The reason why I think it's blank is that Nightmare must've given him another personality."

This time, Peter looked at him quizzically, "Dr. Strange, don't you think that it's too wild of a theory?"

"If I were a doctor once again and not who I am now, I would say that" he replied, "However, his magic feels different, his document is blank after meeting Nightmare, and now he's terrorizing Wanda's children to be his bargaining chip," he quickly said, as if getting all the pieces connected, "Don't you see what Nightmare had done to Mordo?"

Peter couldn't catch up, he wished he spent more time with the wizards to understand where he's getting at.

Loki stepped up, "Nightmare must've possessed him, didn't he?" he guessed again, "That's why in Billy's memories, he didn't look like Mordo at all. Nightmare is an entity from dreams, so he possessed Mordo's mind to walk the realms of men."

Dr. Strange nodded with a serious look on his face, "And if we're right about this, then Karl Mordo may have obtained powers far beyond our understanding. The powers of the Nightmare."

Sylvie had been enjoying sketching now. The blank sketchbook that Loki gave her yesterday night made her confused at first, she thought he was joking since he always came with books that have words on them.

"This is a drawing book, Sylvie," he said, "You can draw or sketch whatever that comes into your mind."

She hummed, "But I don't know how to draw." In fact, she never had any luxury of even having a hobby. Being stuck in one apocalypse after another gave her little time to even think about it.

"There's always the first," he told her optimistically, "Every great artist started as a student, dear Sylvie."

She scoffed, "Oh, and I suppose you can teach me?"

He gave her a cheeky grin, "In fact, I gave you an example of my very own masterpiece that I pictured in my head and made to reality," he flipped a page and showed a page he seemed to sketch on his own.

Sylvie didn't know what to expect about his drawing, but her first impression of his very own 'masterpiece' is…terrible.

It was a sketch of what it seems to be Asgard, but it was all boxes and looked like many legos piled together instead. It was sweet but awful.

She huffed exasperatingly, looking at him in defeat, "Whatever is in that head of yours, it's terrible."

"Hey," he looked offended, "It's the closest thing I can picture of Asgard."

"I think, dear Loki," she closed the book and lightly smacked his forehead with it, "that you should stick to your illusions and forget about artistic things. Not only are you terrible at metaphor, but you are awful at drawing too."

Loki gave a somewhat cute grumble that he let out, "A for effort at least?"

Sylvie couldn't help but laugh at his desperation to get a compliment from her, sometimes she wondered if he's just a boy stuck in a man's body. But that made him somewhat adorable as he tried his best to impress her.

She leaned forward to him and gave a peck on his lips, "Would that suffice, Mr. Loki?" she looked at him with her eyes half-closed, teasing him the way the twins called him that.

Loki's face suddenly turned sour, "Don't even go there."

Sylvie didn't know what to sketch at first, so she tried sketching the garden field and lake in front of her. But over time, she tried to grasp the memory of what the garden in Loki's memories looked like, to make it somewhat real in the book.

Just as she was sketching the swirl of water of the lake, she felt the wind blew her hair back, making her take her mind off the book. She had never felt a gust so strong like that….

"Cool drawing, Sylvie."

Sylvie's heart leaped and she immediately jumped onto her feet from her sofa, dropping her book and pencil in the process. She turned around to see Wanda's twins standing innocently in front of her. They looked as if they have showered, for their hairs are wet and messily combed.

Tommy grinned at her, "Hi, Sylvie."

"Boys," she exclaimed in shock and annoyance, "What are you doing here?"

"Well, Mom, Loki and Dr. Strange went to New York to discuss something," Billy answered, "And Loki asks that we stay here until they return."

Sylvie blinked, "He wanted you both to stay here?"

"Yea," Tommy said, "He said he doesn't like it when you are alone with the wizards here, so here we are."

I'm going to kill him, who did he think she is? A child?

"What are you drawing, Sylvie?" Billy picked up the book and handed it to her, "It looks quite nice."

Sylvie took the book from his hand and sat back on the sofa, well, can't let them just scram, "Just trying out a new hobby."

"Wow, it's really nice," Tommy exclaimed, looking at the picture, "Where did you learn how to draw?"

"I taught myself," she said.

"Really?" Billy looked at her in awe.

"It's a work in progress, as you can see," she suddenly felt a little shy showing them her drawing, and immediately closed the book, "So, how were your lessons with Mr. Loki? Did he teach you well?"

"Well, Loki taught me how to create a force field," he said sheepishly, "But it's also a work in progress."

"I see," she hummed, then she turned to Tommy, "And what about you, Mr. Super Speed?"

"Loki made me run so fast, and slap a dummy," Tommy laughed, "And I lasted five minutes, far more than he expected. Wanna see how fast I can run?"

"Well, I don't see…." Before she finished her sentence, he began zooming across the field with incredible speed, leaving trails of gust behind. The grass looked like it's blown in every direction, he ran so fast that it looks like a silver blur instead.

The way he ran got her thinking if he can run so fast, can he maybe…..

Tommy zoomed back right in front of her face, startling her, "Bet you didn't see that coming!"

She huffed, these kids are full of surprises, "Don't do that again, Tommy," the boy clearly made no promises on that as he plopped down next to her, moving his legs back and forth playfully. Wanda has quite an energetic kid, "Say, Tommy."

"Yea?"

"Do you know what a Basilisk lizard is?"

He looked at her strangely, "Basi…lisk? Lizard?"

"Yea," She said, "It's a lizard that can run on water."

"A lizard can run on water?" Billy asked beside her, "Is that even possible?"

"Sure," she walked towards the table next to the sofa where she neatly piled the books she had read and the books that she hasn't opened yet. She looked through the piles that she had read and found the Nat Geo magazine she just read yesterday. She opened it and scanned through the pages until she found what she's looking for, "There it is."

The twins stood up and skipped towards her, trying to see the content of the pages, "What is it, Sylvie?" Tommy asked.

"See that lizard?" she said, pointing a lizard on the first page of the magazine, "This is a basilisk lizard, or some people call it the Jesus lizard," she explained, "This lizard could run so fast that it allowed him to walk on water. Well….run on the water to be precise. See?" she pointed to another picture where it captured the moment the lizard pedaled its way through the water," she then looked at him, "Do you think you can do that?"

"Hmmm," Tommy hummed and zoomed again towards the lake. This time, the lake had a huge trail of splashes, it's as if the lake was installed with a water fountain. Then Tommy appeared again in front of them, though this time, half of his jeans are wet, he didn't seem to care, "I did it!"

Sylvie blinked, she didn't know that this suggestion could actually work, let alone just from reading. "Wow, okay."

"Can I run a few laps here? Please?" Tommy asked desperately, pointing at the lake.

"Emm…okay, but you can take it…" And Tommy just zoomed away again, running on water, "…..slow," Sylvie finished with a look of unimpressed as she dropped the magazine on the pile of 'have read' books and sat down on the sofa.

Billy then came into her view, right, twins, "So," she cleared her throat, "You don't want to join your brother?"

He shook his head as he sat next to her, "I can't run as fast as he does."

"Right, you have your mother's powers," she realized, "Sounds interesting."

"Yea, but I couldn't do much yet," he looked down and looked at his hands, "Loki said that I need to relax…and have faith in myself."

Sylvie was taken aback by what he just said, did Loki really said all that? "Oh," she said, "Well, it won't be long until you can do the things your mother does."

He looked up at her with a small smile, "Will I?"

"Sure," she strokes his back, "After all, you have someone to teach you. I had to learn magic on my own when I was your age."

Billy looked at her with wide eyes, "You did?"

She nodded, "It wasn't easy, perhaps I must've done terribly than you both," she chuckled, remembering the time she was just learning about magic, "I got frustrated a lot, it must've taken me days to understand how to even float a rock."

"But," he furrowed his little brows, "How do you know what you can or can't do?"

"You won't," she said, "It's a leap of faith, Billy," she turned to the boy, telling him what she had experienced, "No one will ever know what you can or can't do lest you try. You might not be able to see it with your own eyes yet, but you can only trust your heart."

The boy hummed, she hoped that he gets what she's trying to say. It's hard to put these to words when all she had ever done is basically trusting her instinct when it comes to what she's capable of. A couple of accidents made her realize that she can do certain magics, just like enchantment.

"Have you ever been scared, Sylvie?" he asked again.

She blinked at his question, "Of what?"

"Emm, maybe….from someone coming for you?"

All the time, she wanted to say. Years from running away from the TVA had made her paranoid. The day when they took her, she became very cautious with her surroundings, not allowing anyone near her.

Until Loki came along and showed her way out of this fear. To let people in, to be open.

"Well," she began, "There have been a few times, but, you're just going to have to face it I suppose. I couldn't let fear take me, or I won't be able to survive."

"Oh," he simply said.

She leaned forward to meet the child's eyes, "Where is this going, Billy? What's wrong?"

He pursed his little lips, "Do you remember the bad guy in my memories?"

"What about it?"

"It's just that, I had a nightmare about him," he confessed, "and I'm afraid that he'll get me."

"He won't get you," she reassured him, "Your mother, Loki, Doctor Strange and I would never let that happen."

"How do you know that?" he asked.

Sylvie suddenly felt like she's in a déjà vu, this is the exact question she asked Loki when things were getting confusing. We will figure this out, he said. And she believed him, and they really did find a way.

"Well first," she began, "you are surrounded with powerful people around you. Your mother, Loki, Dr. Strange, and his people here. And perhaps even the Avengers too. No one will take you away from your mother."

He hummed, "Sometimes, I wish I'm as brave as Mom," he said, "She seems to know that there are bad guys, and yet she would come up and beat them all the time, that's why she's not home a lot."

"Billy," she called him softly, "just because your mother looks brave doesn't always mean that she's not scared of anything."

"Did she tell you that?"

"A little," she answered, "she told me how she'd do anything to protect you both. Do you know why?" he shook his head, "She's afraid of losing you both, just as you are afraid of losing her."

"Oh," he said, "But she has always been out to fight bad guys without fear, you don't think she's not scared?"

"Perhaps," she said, "But she would still run to fight them whether she's scared or not," she adjusted her sitting position so that she can properly look at him in the eyes, "A fighter like your mother may or may not be afraid, but they can't let fear stop them from acting."

A new realization is plastered on his face, "Wow, you know everything."

She chuckled, perhaps this child's lack interaction to know what people know or don't know. But she can't blame him, after all, Wanda said they aged themselves up, "Not everything, Billy. In fact, you should ask your mom more often about your powers, she might give you some pointers."

He nodded with a new determined face now, "I will."

I hope this is okay, I wanted to make it the beginning of something, another new layer to the problem.

And of course, the training :D I wanted to make a mother and son moment, but I had to have Loki in so that Wanda too knows their progress. Kinda like a parent-teacher conference hahahahha

I wanted to expand the story of our three wizards, after all, they are the center of Dr. Strange 2, and Loki for his own series.

Oh, and as for Peter's scene, I assumed that that photo leak of him greeting Strange was for a post-credit scene. That's why we have that scene, plus, his other variants hahhaha after all, Electro and Dr Octopus are back, I don't see why the other Spideys aren't back.

As for Billy, I always find him to be a very emotional and caring kid. Tommy is more of a hard head like Pietro, but Billy has his father's soft side, but low confidence like Wanda before she joined the Avengers. After all, he saw Nightmare. That is why I had him with Sylvie for a while, to get advice from auntie hahahah but their relationship is for a reason for the next coming chapters.

And Tommy running on water is basically Dash in the Incredibles :p

That said, I hope you enjoy this! Sadly, I don't have a post-credit scene here, otherwise, it'll spoil the next episode :p I can only tell you that, Sylvie will be more involved this time now that they have their lead.

Anyways, thanks for reading everyone! Be sure to leave a heart and follow ^^ And of course, your reviews will mean a lot to me ^^

It's in the middle of the night here, I need to sleep :p I'll reply in the morning!

Stay safe everyone!

Claire.
