The winter wind howled outside as Ryuuji hugged his fiancée as Taiga shivered from the cold. Ami, Minori and Yusaku looked at the two before Ami shivered and spoke, "Why don't you guys just turn the heat on?"
"B-because, you dumb chihuahua…the heater is broken and the stupid landlord won't be out to fix it until tomorrow afternoon," Taiga hissed, "I…I think we should go visit Yasuko, Ryuuji…at least the house is warm,"
"I'd say you're right, Taiga, but even attempting to step out in this mess will take the breath out of anyone,"
"But we can just jump onto the balcony and walk in your old room…it won't be-"
"And what if we miss and fall?" Ryuuji questioned, "Someone could break a leg and possibly freeze to death…I'm sorry, Taiga, but we're just going to have to push through this," Taiga moaned as she felt something warm wrap around her and she looked down to see Ryuuji's hoodie around her, "I'll keep you warm as much as I can,"
Taiga faintly smiled as she leaned back and Minori spoke as she wrapped her arms around herself, "Great…it's good to see you two are looking out for one another, but is there something you can do to warm us all up?"
Taiga and Ryuuji looked at each other before Taiga sighed and shook her head, "We have a small firepit on the balcony…we can bring that in a light a small fire, but we'll have to be careful and watch for embers," the others nodded in agreement before Taiga allowed Ryuuji to stand up and go outside to retrieve the small firepit.
The small group sat around the small fire as Ryuuji watched for jumping embers, "Hey Ryuuji?" Ryuuji hummed and looked down in confusion, "I want to visit Yasuko tomorrow. We should go there before the stupid landlord shows up,"
Ryuuji nodded as he patted the top of Taiga's head, "Yeah…I guess we can do that, Taiga," Taiga smiled as she leaned up against her fiancé.
