AGO Ch 12
Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay, work caught up, and I needed holidays and Eternals bugged me to the point I was funked on my writing :p I was so confused about how to build it and had to scrape a few things and back for it.
I was so devastated to hear that Marvel delayed Dr. Strange 2 I was so looking forward to it! Hopefully, covid will finally end next year so it won't be delayed.
Anyways, here we go!
Note: There will be a post-credit scene here.
Stephen calmly looked at Loki, floating like a ghost….well, not like he's also doing the same thing. But to see his soul present is a sigh of relief as he genuinely thought that his life perished when he took Nightmare along with him. The God himself looked unamused for someone who has his body taken by a possessed magician.
The Supreme Sorcerer glided slowly towards him, looking at him from head to toe once again before finally opening his mouth, "I see you're doing well."
"Splendid," Loki scoffed, "But otherwise, not dead."
"Thought so," Stephen hummed, "I'm impressed you thought about banishing Mordo by transferring your soul to Sylvie."
"And they said our brain works better last minute," he chuckled.
"Have you ever thought of how you can go back to your body?" Stephen asked.
Loki gave him a look as if caught red-handed, "Well….." he scratched the head of his back, "It's a work in progress, the book didn't really say much about the method of returning another soul except that it worked before."
I take my words back, he grumbled. So, he didn't plan this far, "Very clever."
"Thank you."
"It wasn't meant to be a compliment," The sorcerer replied as the God could only shrug, turning his back and gliding towards the window overlooking the landscape in front. It's New York but with Asgard as well, very extraordinary, "So this is where you reside as of now?"
"Occasionally," he said, "Otherwise, Nightmare will know where I am."
"He knew," Stephen said, "He attacked Sylvie recently."
Loki pursed his lips, "I thought I did feel something distressful from her."
So, he can feel him, "Were you able to make contact with Sylvie? In this realm?"
He shook his head, "If I do that, Nightmare can barge into her dream, and delaying Mephisto will be all for nothing."
"So, she can't visit you?"
He shook his head again sadly, "I'm afraid not and I can't allow her to," he said, "Her dreams are vulnerable, it feeds Nightmare easily. That's also why his main intention was of her, not just because of her powers. But her living in many different ends of days built so much fear in her. If she visits me here, Nightmare can easily manipulate her in her own dreams, and it's hard to differentiate dreams and reality here."
He nodded understandably, the sorcerer knew she had been living in apocalypses, but never really thought about what could cause one's mind that way, "She's been depressed after losing you."
"Yea, I felt it," he sounded so apologetic, "I didn't want it to be this way, but saving her required me to do this," he looked at his transparent hands.
Stephen crossed his arms, actually feeling sorry for Loki, "Fine, what's done is done. There's nothing we can do to change the past. Now," he turned to the God, "Your body is still floating aimlessly in the Dark Dimensions, I doubt that Mephisto would demolish your body. He wants your soul, and he'd probably bargain with Sylvie for you."
"Oh yay, I'm famous," Loki said sarcastically.
"Be serious, Laufeyson. We don't have much time, "Stephen stated firmly, "The book only mentioned that Sylvie needed a strong connection in order to get you back. As far as I know, who is alive, you both are closer than anyone I know, what could she possibly need so that she can bring you back and, in the process, Wanda locating your body?"
Loki looked down, trying to wrap his head around this, "I'm afraid I'm uncertain. Aside from Sylvie, Thor is another person whom I am close to."
"Recently close," Stephen corrected him, "You may be brothers, but you seem to share more secrets to her than him. This brings back to my point that you and Sylvie are the very subjects to get yourself back. You two Lokis."
"Nice deduction, Sherlock," Loki said irritably.
He sighed, looking around in frustration. Too bad the Ancient One didn't say anything about the method of getting a soul back and locating their body at the same time. What other connection does Sylvie possibly need when both their hearts are basically already close? "Well then, this is what I can tell you, a soul needs a heart, and a heart needs a soul. Now, what does she need so that she can find this connection to you?"
Loki took a while to process that information, "Feelings? I don't know, I know she does care for me," he honestly said, "But as you said, she needs a strong connection to reach to me."
Feelings? That word somehow clicked to him, "Wait, hold on. What did you say?"
Loki blinked, "What? She needs a strong connection?"
"No, no, before that."
"She cares for me?"
"No! Before that! When I asked what she needs to get to you!"
"I don't know! Feelings? What does that have to do with anything? It's not like I don't know she doesn't have feelings for me! I'm in her body for crying out loud!"
"But," he held his hand up, "It might lead something. I don't know too I think this may have a connection."
"How does that even work?"
"A soul needs a heart and a heart needs a soul," he repeated, trying very hard to process it. Loki and Sylvie have always loved each other, even a fool can see that. Could it be that their love is not strong enough? But that's ridiculous though.
He may need to explore this theory later back at Kamar-taj, now, he has to know the status of Loki, "So, how often do you reside here?"
"As often as I can, but not too obvious from Nightmare," Loki said as he looked out the window, "Otherwise, I'm giving away my position."
"He knows you're here though."
"Yes, and that's what makes it dangerous because I can't protect her any longer," he said.
"Then we have to move fast," Stephen stated he turned back to Loki, "I don't think I can visit you here again if we want to solve this quick."
He nodded, "Yes."
"Is there anything I need to know so that we can solve this together while you are here?"
Loki crossed his arms, thinking before looking back at him, "The dagger I gave her before we parted ways. Maybe that can be a key to something too."
"Why is that?"
"Because I transferred my soul through that dagger," he said, "In another part of the book, it mentioned that we can transfer a soul to any object. But it's not just an object, that object must mean something."
Stephen quirked his brow up, "You and Sylvie were having deep talks about a dagger? Is that what turns you both on?"
"It's….complicated, alright?" he growled in irritation, "But maybe you can give that dagger an examination. Maybe a trace of my soul? I don't know."
"Hmmm, I'll see to it," he sighed in defeat, "So, since you have been here for quite a while, do you know any way to defeat Nightmare?"
Loki thought for a moment before looking at him seriously, "Aside from knowing that we have to defeat him in his realm, we are going to have to fight him on our own. Otherwise, he can gather even more fears around him."
Stephen nodded, "Got it, and what of these Dream hunters?" he gestured to the transparent ghost-like creatures roaming around the Asgard illusion, "Where did they come from?"
"Those are his minions. Must've been searching for me or something."
"So that's how he got his strength too," he gritted his teeth, "He has more allies than we thought."
"I think they fed him little nightmares, I'm not certain. But I'm trying to keep them away from Sylvie's dreams, however, I found something else rather interesting about them."
"What is it?"
"These minions seem to know something about the multiverse," Loki said, "One nearly went into Wanda's dreams," The sorcerer's eyes widened, "However, when they tried to reach her realm of dreams, they immediately repelled."
"What?"
"Yes, they were screaming and abandoned their goals to get to Wanda. What I gathered, they screamed something about a psychic, red magics, and a man named…Charles?"
Odd, Nightmare tried to get into the other multiverse? He's going to need to speak to Wanda about this, this is a priority as it seems that this multiverse variant has been appearing in the files he read as of late, "Alright," he nodded, "I should go before Sylvie knows that I snuck into her dreams. Can you hold off these Dream Hunters?"
Loki nodded, "Nothing I can't handle."
The sorcerer nodded back, "Alright, best of luck, Loki."
"And to you too. Take care."
He nodded, "and you," and at that, he made a circle motion with his hands and created the portal to go back to his world, "I'll see you soon, Loki."
"I look forward to it, Stephen Strange," he smirked. Stephen realized he had never called him that, and he'd like to think that they both are finally learning to trust each other. He now can see why Thor was proud of his current brother.
It just had been a day since she found out that Loki's soul is inside her, and she had been working late to find a way to bring him back. The others took a break while she continues her search.
Sylvie had never worked so feverishly for something or anyone that she'd stay in the library this long, nearly making this library her room. She had been looking for books after books, anything about souls but found that nothing helped! All the knowledge in this damn library isn't giving any information or knowledge to the situation.
The only helpful thing she found is that a heart and the soul are what give life to living things. Pppffff, like she didn't know that. She had lived in many apocalypses to know when a person is dead on the inside and outside.
She sighed frustratingly and propped her head on her arms on the table. She felt tired, but this tiredness is different.
I know that you'll find me.
She sat up again and placed her hand on her chest, wondering if he knows that she's doing her best to find him. But all her hard work seems to no avail, it's the very first time she felt this frustrated over a fruitless search. Well…..Loki was the first to foil her plans before, but this one is different.
"Sylvie," a deep voice called her from the entrance, startling her from her thoughts. The Goddess turned to the source to see Thor standing right there, wearing such mundane clothing, which she finds strange yet fitting. When did he come in? And with that muscular body, how could she not notice him?
Neither the less, he's here, "Thor," she gave him a weak smile, "How are things?"
"Ah, you know, this and that. I'm trying to find any clues of Kang, but emm….." He scratched the back of his head, his slight breaking tells her that the result of his own search is as fruitless as her. Can't blame you. He then looked around, "I see that my brother's habit has taken over you," he walked towards her, took a nearby chair and sat beside her, "I swear you both really fit together."
She chuckled, and picked up a book and opened it, "Well, I don't know if you have heard, but apparently, Loki's alive. We need to find a way to get him back."
"Yea, Wanda and Dr Strange told me when I ran into her. How Loki's in ya' and all," he stuffed his hands in the pockets of his hoodie, "That little shit just knows how to escape death and having us all worried. That's the fifth time," he then looked up to her, "You have got to tell him to stop."
Sylvie huffed, "I'm trying," she said, "I can't make contact with him. His soul sleeps inside me, but I can't reach out to him. I don't know how."
"Maybe you need to try harder?"
"I tried everything I can," she stood up and turned her back on him, "I've read books after books, I tried to reach out to him from my heart and still….nothing!" Thor fell silent at her frustration, "I don't know if I'm even strong enough to find him."
"What are you talking about?"
"He is inside me, Thor. I should be able to make contact with him or even feel him," Sylvie sighed, "But I can't feel him."
"Who said that?"
"I don't know," she scratched the back of her head, feeling so frustrated, "I feel like I should know something….but I don't," she then walked back to her chair, not making any eye contact with Loki's brother and sat on it in defeat, "I don't have any leads, I don't think I have the right magic to find him, nor do I know what I'm doing."
Thor paused for a moment, "You know…the Loki I know always has a plan…."
"I'm not Loki," Sylvie immediately said with slight anger.
"Yea, but you are a part of him," he pointed out, making her slightly irritated, but he didn't seem to mind her, "Anyways, if Loki knows something is going to work, he's confident about it."
Remembering their time at Lamentus-1 during their train ride, she scoffed, "Well…. not all the time."
"Maybe. But," he pulled on his chair to look at her closely, "Loki is not the person who trust people easily. Even myself included, and I regret that I wasn't there for him as much as I had to," he confessed, making her heartbreak in his confession. She wondered if Loki could hear him, or maybe he had already told his brother of this. Thor looked down on the table, his eyes looked longing and sad, "Mother was Loki's pride, and she's to him. And the look of his face whenever she's around," he chuckled and turned to Sylvie, "It was the same when he's around you too. When he trusts someone, well, that person must be very special to him, and he has every confidence in them. And that includes you, Sylvie."
Sylvie looked down at her hands, feeling a little content of this information, unable to reply of this. After their time in Lementus-1, Loki had never turned his back on her. And when they were about to fight that fog monster, he was willing to stay with her too even though she had already told him that she's not sure if it's going to work or not.
He kept his words until the end. He didn't let her down.
The Goddess of Mischief sat back on her chair, processing what Thor just said, "Why are you telling me this?" Thor quirked his brow up, looking like he doesn't understand her question, "I'm not him. And I know that he trusts me…"
"Do you?" Thor questioned her, "Do you really trust what he was doing?"
Sylvie pursed her lips, "Well, a little. For instance, how to find him. And I barely know anything, I had to learn magic myself since I was a child. Why didn't he just ask Dr. Strange?"
Thor hummed, "I think it's because he believes in you," he smiled reassuringly, "You know, Loki told me that you had experiences in time traveling."
"Yea, but what does that have to do with finding Loki? The tempad can't detect him in the Dark Dimensions."
"Just listen," he raised his hand, "You said that you don't have enough magic to find him. But what if you can learn it from someone else?"
Sylvie's eyes widened, not wanting to believe what he was trying to say, "You're not talking about the Ancient One, are you?"
He shook his head, "Sylvie, perhaps you may want to try to speak to my mother."
"So, you found him in her dreams?" Wanda asked him as they were strolling at the training grounds. Her twins played at the training grounds, training their own ways with what Loki taught them.
They all came here after getting an unexpected visit from Thor, asking for any updates about Loki. Wanda caught him up with what they just found, and after telling her part of the story, he went to find Sylvie. Most likely wanting to know about this situation too, knowing that his brother rests in her.
And now, here they are, discussing Stephen's findings.
He nodded, "he resides there at the moment, protecting her from Nightmare's minions."
"I see," she hummed, "did he know how to get back?"
"Unfortunately, he left that part out," he facepalmed.
"Well, at least we know that he's safe."
"There's something else too, Wanda."
"Yea?"
"Nightmare had tried to get into your dreams too," Stephen said, the Scarlet Witch's brows furrowed, "However, something was preventing them to."
"How so?" Wanda looked at him seriously.
"Apparently, there's a chance that you too have a variant of your own by the name of Charles."
Wanda's brow quirked up, "I have a variant name Charles?"
"That's a theory because when they tried to get to your realm of Dreams, they suddenly stopped and turned back. Which is why they infested Sylvie's dreams, where Loki is holding them off," Stephen then looked at her seriously, "Wanda, is there a chance that perhaps you can contact another person from the multiverse?"
"I don't know," she said, "I know how to create a false reality, but to find another multiverse, I'm not certain."
"There may be a chance that you can," he said, "And if you can find out how perhaps you can find this Charles person."
"Why?"
"Think about it, what could make Nightmare so frightful of this one person? There must be something that made him this frightened, and this person might hold the answer. Maybe he can help us find a way to get to Loki."
Wanda thought for a moment, could there really be someone way more powerful to defeat Nightmare? And if so, are they on their side? "How confident are you that this person may be the person we can trust?"
"Well for one, he's not at the side of Nightmare and Mordo," Stephen hypothesized an easy conclusion, "That's really all I can think of."
The Scarlet Witch hummed, thinking about this solution. The Avengers are not really fond of Loki or Sylvie even when Thor is around, she knew that much. And they're keener to find Kang rather than a ghost, perhaps this is the only way, "Well, I suppose we're going to have to give this a shot."
"Alright," he nodded, "First, we are going to find this variant from Loki's TVA friend."
"Mobius?"
"Correct, he has files about his Charles. Maybe we might find the right variant to help us."
"But there are many Charles," Wanda exclaimed, "How are we to know we found the right Charles?"
"There are two clues of him," he brought to fingers up to her, "One, he has these psychic abilities as you do, and two, there are mentions about red magic."
Of course, her variant, "Okay, but that doesn't change the fact that there are many documents to go through."
"Then we'll both use our Astral states," he answered, "We're going to find him and end this Multiverse of Madness."
"I beg your pardon?" Sylvie leaned forward to him, making sure she heard right, "You want me to go find your mum?"
Thor nodded seriously, there was no hint of japing, "She's the strongest magician I know, and if you meet her, perhaps she can give you guidance."
"Thor, I can't just show up to her and say, 'Hi, I'm your daughter from another universe'," she protested, "She'll think I'm insane!"
"I met her," he said softly, "When we were trying to get all the infinity stones back, I got to meet my mother. She didn't doubt me for a second," the God of Thunder looked at her softly, "That's how I know she was the best of all of us."
Sylvie pursed her lips, still unsure about this plan. A part of her has always wanted to know the mother Loki spoke highly about, to know her kindness and love that made him trust her so willingly. But the other part of her felt ashamed to see her too. What if she hates her? For bringing such deadly war to the universe and being unable to protect her son. For being so reckless for revenge.
"Look Sylvie," Thor stopped her train of thoughts, "I know you might be nervous about what I just proposed to you about…."
"Oh, I still think that this is a terrible idea, Thor," she exclaimed immediately, "She's going to throw me in the dungeons."
"No, she won't," he said, "My mother knows a person's intention just by looking at them. So long as you are being truthful, she'll be willing to listen to you."
"That's the part I'm worried about," she said, "The truth is, I caused this Multiverse to happen! I lost Loki, and fell for revenge…"
"It doesn't matter," Thor said, "Whether she believes it or not, you have an intention to bring Loki back. You don't have an intention to conquer a planet the way Loki did. You're just going to have to trust me that she'll listen to you, in fact," he adjusted his position, "I'll come with you."
Sylvie blinked, "Aren't you supposed to be on a space mission with your other friends?"
"I'll just drop you off after explaining a few things to your mother, then I'll be off," he said, "Sounds good?"
This sounds like a horrible idea, Sylvie thought. She's going to throw her to prison, and truth to be told, the last time she went back to Asgard, where the TVA resets everything to the point no one remembers her, it cut a wound so deep in her heart that she can't go there anymore. Asgard brought her painful memories, and she doubts that it's going to heal if she sees the familiar landscape again.
But he needs you, the other part of her told her. Loki's soul is sleeping inside her, and he entrusts her to bring him back. He had done everything in his power to keep her safe under these magicians and the Avengers and Midgard itself. She owes him her life.
Eventually, and reluctantly, she nodded, "Fine," she finally breathe out shakily, making Thor perk up, "I'll do it. I'll meet your mother."
Loki's brother grinned, "Great! Now we just need that bracelet that Loki has. If he didn't bring it with him through that portal of course."
She nodded, he left his bracelet there in his room. She stood up, "Come with me, we'll set off from his room."
"So, this is the TVA," The two magic people found themselves in what looks like a receptionist place of an office, Stephen was impressed that he can't find these TVAs in his radar. These people reset time from whatever sacred timeline there is. He wonders if The Ancient One had ever come across a place like this. It's quite amazing.
But at the same time, this place also looked a little dull. It looks so cubicle than to the offices he saw in his time like WeWork. The young generations would die in this type of environment, he can now see why it took a long time for the TVA to even find Sylvie when she was on the run.
"I can't believe such places exist," Wanda said, she was given a tempad by Mobius in case anything happens again, and that's how they got here, "How can Mobius live in a place like this."
"Well, everyone has their own habitats, Wanda," he chuckled, "Now, to find our little friend."
"Ah yes," she went to the receptionist's table where a man is typing furiously, "Hi, there."
The man looked up at her, "Oh, hello there, mam. Is there anything I can help you with? I'm Casey, at your service."
"Hi, Casey, I'm wondering if Mobius is here?"
"Oh yes, yes," the man said enthusiastically, "he's just in his office, down the block. Would you like me to escort you there?"
"That'd be great," Wanda smiled.
Casey nodded and he got up from his table and rummaged through his drawers taking something, "Come with me, Mam."
Wanda nodded, "Thank you, Casey," she then turned to Stephen, "Looks like we got a lead."
He nodded, "Let's," he adjusted his coat jacket and followed Casey together with Wanda.
It was long, the building must've been huge. When they pass by a window, he can see all the spacious-looking buildings outside. It's like something out of Star Wars of Naboo. This is a very peculiar place.
"Here we are," Casey announced, he then knocked on the door, "Mobius?"
"Yes, come in, Casey," the voice of the older man called from the other side.
The receptionist opened the door, "Mobius, you've got visitors," he then looked back at them both, "Come on in."
They both nodded and entered the office room. It was huge and it looked like it's the CEOs room, it has statues and trophies of its own. He guessed that he's the boss of the TVA it seems, all this time, he didn't really have the time to think much about what this TVA is when the universe is at jeopardy. Now, he might want to focus more on how to get places like this to be on his radar.
"Wanda! Stephen!" Mobius exclaimed excitedly from his table as he stood up and walked towards them, "It's so good to see you here!"
Wanda walked up to him, "It's good to see you well too, Mobius," she embraced him and pulled away when her eyes looked down at his cast, "You're still working even when you're injured."
"Ah, ya know. Can't really take a break when the state of emergency is ….. questionable," he said when his eyes caught Stephen's, "Ahh, Stephen Strange! You're here too! Come you all, sit down. Now, what would you like to drink? I got tea for all of us." The two Avengers sat down on the sofa as Mobius poured their cups and handed to them, "I don't usually meet guests often, so please excuse my manners."
"Yea, sorry we came suddenly," Stephen took the cup and sipped, "But we may actually need your help."
Mobius sat at the other side of the sofa, looking at them, "On?"
Stephen then explained everything on his findings, leaving no details amiss. Loki and Sylvie's best friend listened to him carefully, careful not to miss anything.
"So, in short," Wanda chimed, "I was wondering if maybe you have any documents about my variant name Charles."
The elder man placed his cup on the table, "Now this is quite unusual," he said, "Every variant have the same name, lest they decided to change them the way Sylvie did."
"But this person seemed to know how to fight off Mephisto," Stephen explained to him, "If he can fight off Mephisto, perhaps he can help to stop this multiverse war."
"Hmmm," Mobius placed his hand on his mouth, "Make sense. But it's going to be a little difficult since our files aren't exactly up to date. It's all still messed up, another kind of Kang must've messed the timeline again, and besides," he sat up, "How certain are you that he might want to help us? And no offense, but turns out your friend pretty much sold his soul to the devil. What makes him want to trust us?"
"Well, we're Avengers," Wanda chimed in, "A little under constructions, but yea. We're at the side of life, as Vision would say."
"I'm warning you though, there's a lot of files to cover," Mobius warned again, "And I and my team can't help at the moment. Kang isn't the only criminal variant we're after."
Stephen and Wanda looked at each other and nodded in a silent agreement. They're going to find the answer to solve the Multiverse war once and for all. They then looked back at Mobius and Stephen opened his mouth, "Whatever it takes."
"Sylvie, welcome to Asgard," Thor announced, raising his arm and gesturing to his old home. They stood at the balcony of his old room, where its facing the entire kingdom.
Thor picked 2012 as the place to start, where he and Loki were at Midgard. He remembered being quite long when working with the Avengers, so a few uninterrupted days without them both would do.
He felt so nostalgic to be back home. The mighty and powerful land of his father, the kingdom still intact and stood with so much pride. If only Ragnarok never happened. But for now, Sylvie can enjoy their full-fledged home.
When he turned to his side to see her, she looked a little sad. He wondered how much of Asgard did she remembered; Loki did say that she ran away at a very young age. He guessed that this place is basically history to her.
"My father used to bring me and Loki up here, and told us that everything the light touches is our kingdom," Thor brought up, "Well…. before he knew about Ragnarok, of course."
Sylvie gave him a sad smile, "It's a beautiful world."
"Was the Asgard you know something like this?"
"I think so," she said, "I can't remember much about my own childhood."
Thor hit himself mentally, "Sorry I asked."
"It's fine," she smiled at him, "But it's good to be….well…..home."
He nodded, "Now, he looked back to his room, "To find my mother."
"Do you know where she is?"
"Well, sometimes, she'd be in the councils or with her servants…..hard to say," he walked up to the door, and took a peek outside, "The coast should be clear."
"Thor, wait," she jogged silently towards him, "How do we know where to find her without people knowing that you're here."
"I've got it all sorted," Thor grinned excitedly, "I have a plan."
Sylvie gave him a look of disappointment, "I have a feeling that I may not like it."
"Don't worry, it's a great plan!" he clapped his hand together and rubbed them furiously, producing statics in his hands from the friction, "You're just gonna have to trust me on this."
"Loki said the same thing and the tempad broke and we were stuck in a planet that was about to die," she crossed her arms, "Geez, you both are definitely brothers. What are you planning, Thor?"
"Hold your tongue," Thor winked at her.
"Wha-"
Before Sylvie could even comprehend what he's about to do, he placed both his hands at both her arms and without warning, her body was zapped by a high voltage of electricity. It was so powerful that she didn't even have the time to scream, and her heart leaped, shocking her to her brains that she blacked out immediately and fell to the ground.
Luckily, Thor was fast and caught her before she could hit the ground.
"Sorry, Sylvie. But this is the only way to get you both face to face," Thor whispered to her, as he adjusted her in his arms, carrying her in a bridal style, and stood up, "Had to improvise 'get help', I can't throw a lady."
With his leg, he then opened the door and peeked once again at the hallways. Good, no one is here. He's going to have to guess that his mother is in her room, he presumes that she's anxious about him and Loki when they were in New York. After all, that's what their mother does. Worry about her sons like any mother would.
He took that gamble and tiptoed to get to her room. Thor did everything he can to avoid the guards and servants passing by, every time he heard someone, he'd sneak into a room or hide behind alcoves. And much worse, he tries to be careful when he carried Sylvie, her little grunts would sometimes be made him nervous. What if someone heard her? But luckily, no one did through out his sneaking journey.
By the time he is close to his mother's room as he hid behind the corner of the wall, he saw that there are guards standing right at the door. Good, which means she's actually inside her room. But how to get her attention without anyone seeing him but Sylvie?
Bah, screw it, he thought, he's going to have to improvise 'get help' again. The God of Thunder cleared his throat, ensuring that he doesn't sound like him, and took a deep breath, "GUARDS! ANYONE! YOUR MAJESTY FRIGGA! HELP!"
Thor heard commotions coming from the room's direction, the guards sounds like they are trying to find the source of his shouts. He inhaled deeply again, "MY QUEEN FRIGGA! HELP!"
This time, he heard the door open, "What was that?" It's his mother's voice!
Perfect, he then laid Sylvie on the floor, Sorry, little sis, and rolled her out of the view of the wall so that the people in front of his mother's room can see her.
"Someone's there!" a guard shouted.
Thor immediately whipped his borrowed tempad from Loki and Mobius, which he didn't tell Sylvie so that he could execute this plan. He typed his present timeline and immediately, a portal opened. "Good luck, Sylvie," he whispered.
At that, Thor jumped through the portal and left her behind.
"GUARDS! ANYONE! YOUR MAJESTY FRIGGA! HELP!"
Frigga was stunned at that loud shout. It sounded so alarming.
"MY QUEEN FRIGGA! HELP!" The plea of desperation came again.
The Queen of Asgard ran to her door and immediately pushed it open, "What was that?" She looked around, but things seem pretty normal. Though her guards seem alerted and confused, as they looked around for any signs of danger.
"Someone's there!" one of her two guards shouted as he pointed something ahead.
When Frigga looked at what he was pointing at, her eyes widened at the sight of someone lying on the floor. Oh no, did someone attack their Kingdom again? What did Loki do this time?
Brushing the worry off her mind, she ran towards the figure lying on the floor. She heard her guards trying to warn her, but she didn't care. It is her duty as queen to take care of her people, no matter who they are.
When she got closer, she found herself looking at a blonde fainted young lady whom she had never seen before. She wore a green travel suit, and she just…. faints in her hallway. How did she even get here?
Frigga kneeled to inspect her, "Hey, are you alright?" she touched her cheek but whatever happened to her, knocked her out cold, her eyes closed as if she's asleep. She turned towards her guards, "Guards, quickly find my servants." Both soldiers nodded and did as they were told.
The Queen looked back at the young lady to see if she has any injuries. She touched her hand and checked her pulse, good, she's alive. But before she could even check anything further, there was something calling to her. Some…. feeling….or magic…..something coming from this young lady, it's calling to her. Her magic feels familiar yet different at the same time, and she can feel something else in her, but she just can't pinpoint what is it. It feels safe but confusing.
"Young lady, who exactly are you?" Frigga whispered. Something tells her that she's going to have a long discussion with her.
Here it is! The moment y'all been waiting for! Sorry I was way behind on my schedule, I was doing my work and had things to take care of. So, I hope this will suffice.
And I just watched Eternals, and seeing the Game of Thrones actors together again was a sight to see to the point I continued my GOT fics first.
And here we are!
I wasn't sure how to write this scene, that's why it took quite a long time for me to finish. And to actually explain the connection that Sylvie can't visit Loki was a little difficult as well. So, I hope this makes sense. Plus, since Dr Strange 2 is about our trio wizards, I still don't want to exclude him even though his soul is asleep.
I particularly like Thor here. It showed his brotherly side to Sylvie hahaha! At first, I wanted it to be Stephen or Wanda who suggested this idea to her, but it makes more sense if it's Thor. After all, he had met his past mother, so the only person who can comfort Sylvie about this is him.
I wasn't sure how to end with Frigga's part as well, so I went with that :p There's a reason why I used the 2012 version and you'll find out in the next chapter.
With that said, here's a post-credit scene to explain the other theory/leak I found on the internet. Cuz' to me, I actually like the theory. Once again, I'm trying to make it very MCU style.
"Found anything?" Wanda asked through her astral projection.
After buried in the documents after documents for ours in the TVA office, he finally found it! Good thing his magic has its own ability of ctrl+F. All he had to do was find Charles and magic. "Got it," he opened the file with his astral hand.
Wanda glided towards him, "So what is it?"
Stephen read about the man, and when he scanned the contents, it astounds him. This man is not a variant of Wanda, he is just a man with a powerful psychic who happens to adopt someone with power like Wanda. Is it her variant that this man adopt?
"Wanda," he began, "The person who scared off Nightmare's minions wasn't your variant."
She hummed, "Can't say I'm disappointed. So then, who is it?"
This man is the man who kept appearing in the files he was searching for about Mordo. He can now see why Mordo was desperate to get to him, he pointed to the picture of the bald man, "Charles Xavier."
