The next afternoon

"Okay Kim this will be a little cold and we will see what is going on" Melissa hovered the scanner over Kim s belly trying to see what was going on.

"It's really weird Kim because I can't see anything"

"Oh" replied Kim, "but I was sick again this morning"

Melissa removed the scanner slightly, "do you think because this child is a product of 2 rangers that maybe it's trying to protect its self"

"Maybe" said Kim, "but if I am pregnant the baby should know that you are it's grandmother and would never .."

All of a sudden the baby popped up on the monitor and both ladies gasped which then turned into smiles

"Hello my first grandie" Melissa said, "you are a health size. I'm glad we can finally see you" she kept scanning Kim s belly just to finish up the measurements

Kim was happy and shocked but then she realised ..

"Don't Kim, I know this wasn't planned but I am happy for a grandchild and both Marcus and I will help you and Tommy"

"I'm grateful for that Melissa, but this is the wrong timing. Tommy is fighting an even greater evil before, I'm here trying to reach my goal with the pan pacific what am I going to do"

"I'm not sure do you feel tired?"

"No I don't just the other symptoms"

"Okay I'm here for a week so for now I suggest you keep training and I will come and stay with you so I can keep an eye on you and then we can make a decision" Melissa said, " Now let's you cleaned up and go for dinner" she finished

The women went out for a wonderful dinner and decide to walk to the apartment being a nice night, all of sudden they were in the park and Cogs were surrounding them. Kim got straight into a defensive position whilst Melissa took a little longer to do it, ( since Tommy was young Melissa took self defences class so she could help Him practise). The cogs scanned both women but paid more attention to Kim and her belly then he turned to the senior "sir I swear the reading was here now it's gone but she is his girlfriend" and then they disappeared.

"Shit" said Kim as she turned to Melissa

"They were scanning for the baby" Melissa said nervously she grabbed Kim and they walked them faster to the apartment.

Once they were inside Kim started, " they know who I am and if they find out I'm carrying Tommy's baby they will use me, us against him. I can't let that happen" she started to cry.

Melissa wrapped her arms around Kim realising the situation was bad, "I think we need to write a letter to Tommy saying your breaking up with him?"

Kim moved out of Melissa arms and sat on the couch, "but I love him he is it for me I can't .. (Kim cried) but you are right"

Melissa sat next to Kim and rubbed her back, "I don't want to do this to my son but you are my daughter and carrying my grandchild you come first. He will forgive us when he realises why we had to do it"

"I don't .."Kim cried. Melissa held onto Kim until she relaxed and fell asleep, Melissa placed the blanket over both of them and fell asleep to.

The next morning Kim had woken up early to be sick, she slowly moved away from Melissa to not wake her up and vomited in her bathroom. When she cleaned herself up she decide she need to write the letter to protect Tommy he didn't need to worry about her being kidnapped or being kidnapped. She hear a noise and then it went off again she realised it was her old communicator she grabbed and answer.

"Kim are you okay" Tommy asked and continued "Zordon told us that the cogs turned up last night and we have been trying to get in touch with you"

"Sorry everyone (Kim looked up and saw Melissa at the bedroom door) they didn't attack they were looking for something it was just bad timing on my behalf. Then once they were gone I ran home and fell asleep on the couch"

"Thats weird" Billy said, "I wonder what they were looking for"

"Not sure" Kim replied, "but I'm fine guys"

Tommy came out quieter than before, "Kim are you sure you okay, I'm worried about you know"

"Tommy please" Kim had tears down her cheeks "I'm fine I don't need you worrying about me I safe here. You need to concentrate on the enemy"

"I love you Kim you are my everything"

"I know Tommy but you need to focus I am here for you always. I'm sorry I need to go the coach is calling for me. Bye" and with that she turned off the communicator.

She looked at Melissa, "I wrote the letter but I can't give it him now" she burst into tears

"Okay I understand but when things calm down "

Kim finished, "we will send the letter"
