Ryuuji leaned against the wall and watched as his wife played with the kitten on the bed. Stopping, Taiga looked up ad inhaled slowly, "So…we're keeping him, right Ryuuji?"
"I guess," Ryuuji sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, "We'll just have to hide him whenever the landlord comes by, we'll get some scented litter to keep him a secret an-"
"What's going on in here?" they jumped and looked up to see a middle-aged man walking into the room ad Taiga tried to grab Simba as the kitten jumped off the bed and began running around the room.
Taiga jumped off the bed and picked the kitten up and held it close to her, "Uh-huh…weren't you two told no pets were allowed?" the man questioned and Taiga frowned a she held Simba closer, "I'm sorry, you two, but rules are rules an-"
"Can't you just look past it, Mr. Yagi?" Ryuuji snapped and his wife and their landlord looked at him, "It's my fault, I brought the cat in from the cold an-"
"No…it wasn't," Taiga sighed and shook her head, "I found this little guy outside last night and it was supposed to be freezing and…I wasn't going to let him freeze to death, so…I brought him home with me and I talked to Ryuuji and we were going to keep him and hide him from you…I'm sorry,"
The landlord watched as Ryuuji walked over to his wife and began to comfort her before his eyes fell onto the kitten and he took a deep breath, "I'll tell you what, kids," the two looked up in confusion as the he rubbed the back of his head, "For a little extra rent money each month, I'll let you kids keep the furball…just don't tell the other tenants," their eyes widened, "Well, I better get going. Still need to check on the other tenants, and remember, not a word to anyone," the two slowly nodded as the man turned and walked out of the room and out of the apartment.
Taiga looked down at the kitten and smiled, "You're saying with us, Simba," the kitten mewed as Taiga scratched behind his ears.
Well…enjoy.
