Sinnoh Arc: Chaos
When they landed in Eterna, they jumped off their Pokémon. Jacky looked around. "Wow. Eterna City is really beautiful! So this is where we meet Gardenia?",
"That's right." Elesa nodded. "Inside her gym. Follow me." They withdrew their Pokémon, then followed Elesa to an important-looking building to the south of the rather quiet town. A woman with short, light brown hair and identically colored eyes wearing shorts, a black long-sleeved crop top and a green cloak over her shoulders was waiting for them there. "Ah! There you are!" she exclaimed.
"Hello." Elesa greeted her.
"Yes, Skyla told me she would bring company. I so rarely get visitors from Unova." Gardenia smiled politely, then looked at Skyla and Elesa. "A strange phenomenon has been observed over Mount Coronet for some time. Red clouds, spinning around each other like a hurricane. See for yourself." She pointed to a mountain towering beyond the city. Indeed, they could make out said clouds there. "In addition, slight earthquakes have been recorded near the Spring Path, which leads from Route 214 to Sendoff Spring.",
"Is this related to Team Galactic?" Elesa inquired.
"Possibly, we don't exactly know yet. It is quite noticeable that all this happened after they were shooed out of their building in Veilstone.",
"We should take a closer look at these places," Skyla determined. "Maybe we will find something that could point to the goals of this organization. Elesa and I will leave for Spring Path." Then, she looked to the girls. "Go to Mount Coronet with Gardenia, but please be mindful.",
"We will!" Mari promised. Skyla nodded at them before sending out her flying-type Pokémon again and rushing off with Elesa in toe. Gardenia looked at the girls. "We shouldn't waste any time. Follow me." The gym leader turned around and led them through the city towards the huge mountain. They walked through a forest and Mari and Jacky saw many Pokémon they knew weren't native to Unova. They were highly fascinated by the rich environment.
Then, suddenly, Gardenia stopped. "Shh..." She sneaked forward and peeked out from behind a tree. Then, she beckoned the girls over. "Duck down," she murmured. They dropped behind a bush and peered through the leaves. They saw three guys. One with dark blue hair and two others. They all wore uniforms with a G on them. "The operation is being prepared," one of the three said. "If everything goes smoothly, we can find the objects and use them to summon the gods of time and space to the top of Mount Coronet.",
"That's good." The blue-haired guy nodded. "Is the entrance to the Torn World still closed?",
"Yes, Master Saturn. But not for long, I think. We must at all costs prevent that beast that dwells there from interfering.",
"Mars and Jupiter had better get a move on", the guy whose name was obviously Saturn growled. "One thing is for sure, if we have Dialga and Palkia and time and space are under our control, the dimensional order will distort and Giratina will be busy facing the heavy repercussions it will have. Hopefully, that will be enough to keep it in check." Then, they disappeared. Mari looked at Jacky. "Did you catch that...?",
"I don't like it." When she had made sure those galactic guys were really gone, she let her guard down. "They're up to something with the deities of Sinnoh.",
"That's disturbing." Gardenia pushed herself away from the tree. "If they disrupt the space-time continuum and the dimensions become distorted, it will result in absolute chaos. This is madness!",
"We should follow them." Jacky said. "Quickly."
Gardenia nodded. "If we can find out more, we might be able to intercept before its getting too much out of hand."
The three walked in the direction the three guys had disappeared into. As they did so, they got closer and closer to Mount Coronet. Then, Jacky suddenly halted. "...!",
"What's wrong?" Mari, who almost ran into her, asked.
"Mari, the egg!",
"What, is it hatching?" Jacky hastily dug the container where she kept the egg in out of her bag and opened it. The egg wobbled and shook violently, cracks beginning to cover the shell. "Put it on the ground." Gardenia advised her. Jacky quickly took the egg out of the cylinder and placed it on the ground. The cracks grew longer until the shell broke apart and a small, green Pokémon sat on the ground. Mari quickly pulled out her Pokédex. "That... That's a Budew", she stated.
"Knn?" The Pokémon looked curiously at the two girls. Then, it hopped over to them.
"Aww, it's cute!" Mari thought.
"Totally!" Jacky leaned down. "Hi, Budew. I'm Jacky. I hope we have a great time together!" Budew giggled. Jacky pulled out an empty Poké Ball and caught it. Then, she put the ball on her belt.
"Shh..." She listened up. "Do you hear that, as well?" A rustling sound came out to them. "Yes." Mari replied, and her hand wandered to her belt. At that moment, strange figures stepped out of the undergrowth and immediately noticed the three trainers. "Tss...", one of them sneered. "And here I thought our minions were at least smart enough to secure the area. Idiots.",
"What are you guys up to?" Mari wanted to know.
"This is none of you brats' business AT ALL!" a woman sneered at them. "Get out of here or it won't end well for you.",
"Nope." Mari replied. "We were here first.",
"Are we playing that game now?" the woman asked, laughing derisively. "You guys have noticed that you're outnumbered, yes?",
"So what?",
"Tch! You've got quite a mouth on you, missy! You'll get a rebuke for that!" The Galactic fiends pulled out their Poké Balls and a Golbat, a Glameow, a Sneasel and a Stunky surrounded them. Gardenia crossed her arms. "We're going to fight our way through. Are you guys ready?"
Jacky nodded. "We are.",
"Good." The gym leader pulled out a Poké Ball. "Let's go, Leafeon!" An elegant-looking Pokémon with leaves on its body landed in front of her. "We'll help out, Gardevoir!",
"Absol, let's go!" Gardevoir and Absol landed on the field.
"Okay, Gardevoir! Start with Moon Blast!"
Gardevoir formed a ball of light in front of it and hurled it at Sneasel. Glameow jumped at it with its claws flashing in the sunlight.
"Leaf Blade, Leafeon!" Leafeon's tail lit up and it flung the Glameow away with a powerful slash. "Razor Wind, Absol!" Absol hissed and opened fire. "Gardevoir, Focus Blast! Hit the ground!" Gardevoir clenched energy and sent it crashing into the ground. The shockwave that emanated from it forced the Pokémon surrounding them back. "Way to go, Mari!" Jacky shouted. "Amazing move! Absol, Razor Wind again!",
"Razor Leaf, Leafeon!" Absol sent out more blades, and Gardenia's Leafeon supported it with a swarm of sharp leaves. When Sneasel tried to strike at Absol, Mari responded: "Shadow Ball, Gardevoir!"
Gardevoir let a black ball crash into the foe. "And Moon Blast!"
The second attack hit just as hard as the first one, if not even harder, and the Sneasel went down. As the Golbat attacked, Gardenia stretched out her arm. "Nature Power, Leafeon!" Leafeon glowed as it seemed to absorb energy from its surroundings and then sent a vicious Stun Spore attack towards the bat. The paralysis kicked in right away, forcing it to crash into the ground. "Now, time for Solar Blade!" Folipurba leapt into the air and absorbed sunlight before smashing its tail from which an enormous energy blade emerged at the Pokémon lying on the ground. Absol sent the Glameow crashing to the ground with Psycho Cut, and Gardevoir bombarded the rest of the attacking Pokémon with its powerful ranged attacks. Soon, none of the Pokémon were standing on their feet. The Galactic goons withdrew them. "You've got to be kidding me!" one of them shouted.
"You idiots!" the woman screeched. "Get out of here!" They took to their heels and ran for the mountain. "After them!" Gardenia shouted. The girls nodded and ran off with their Pokémon.
