Sinnoh Arc: Back To Unova
They landed in Eterna. Gardenia immediately contacted Skyla and Elesa, who had left Sendoff Spring. Giratina had broken out of the crack they had found. They had also learned that the Pokémon that lived at the three lakes of Sinnoh, the three fairies, had been captured by Team Galactic. They had been drained of their energy so they would not resist when the extraction of their crystals would commence. They had fallen into a deep sleep and were returned to their lakes by police officers when Team Galactic had no more use for them and discarded them. Currently, the two were staying in Veilstone. "I will continue to look around for information," Gardenia decided. "I have never even heard of the existence of a relic capable of summoning Arceus... If such a thing really exists, then finding it alone will be a tough task. Not many people, if any, will know where to find such an object. Cyrus won't be any farther than we are with his knowledge. So we will both start from the same point in this. You two should go back to Elesa and Skyla." With that, she disappeared. Jacky looked to Mari. "Mari?",
"Huh?",
"I've been thinking about something..." She twirled her Mega Ring indecisively. "We don't stand a chance against Dialga and Palkia alone. I... I want to go to that Temple Mountain.", "Uh? You do remember that it's forbidden to enter it, right?",
"I'm going to ask that Nate fella for permission", she replied. "We need those Mega Stones... if we can use them at all. If we can really unleash mega evolution, maybe we'd have a chance... fighting along Giratina.",
"Who's going to guarantee that one of our Pokémon can use them?",
"I don't know... we have to try. We don't have another chance. I know Gardevoir can perform Mega Evolution.",
"How?",
"Do you remember Diantha? She has a keystone, too. Now that I think about it... I've heard that her Gardevoir can release extraordinary powers. I'm willing to bet that means she uses mega evolution, too. And that place Elesa mentioned... The fairy garden. Sounds like a place where a Mega Stone for Gardevoir could be hidden, doesn't it?",
"Uh... I mean, sure...",
"I want to go to Temple Mount first," Jacky decided. "It's certain that a mega stone is kept there, and as far as I got it, it's the one we're most likely to get to. Elesa said no one knows where the Fairy Garden is... So we have to start there." Mari crossed her arms.
"Doesn't sound like a sure plan, and it sure doesn't sound like a great plan to leave Sinnoh in the state its in to look for mega stones not knowing how long that'll even take us in the end, but... thinking about the current situation, there isn't much we can do, so we need some extra power boosts. Then... I guess you're right on that one." She nodded in defeat. "Alright... So we'll fly back to Unova and look for the Mega Stones to stop Team Galactic once and for all. If that helps.",
"It will." Jacky looked to her, "We have to stop this, Mari. And this is the only chance we have.",
"Ugh... Alright. I mean, its likely we have some time because that Cyrus fella will really need to do some research to find out where that relic is that is apparently able to summon Arceus." The black-haired girl nodded.
They flew to Veilstone. On the way, Jacky made contact with Skyla, who, after a lot of persuasive words from Jacky, agreed to fly back to Unova with them. Elesa stayed in Sinnoh to work with Gardenia and track down the mysterious artifact Giratina had mentioned. They met up with Skyla in Veilstone before flying to the Fight Area with her and transferring to the jet. "Get ready to take off," Skyla told them, and Mari and Jacky nodded before the gym leader disappeared into the cockpit of the plane. The two sat down next to each other in the seats and looked out the window as the jet took off. "So now we have Mega Stones to find and the world to save." Jacky summarized. "Admittedly, this is not my dream job... This isn't really how I imagined our journey to go.",
"I don't blame you at all", Mari commented. "...Although, you were the one insisting we help out in this, so... okay, no, I do blame you.",
"Haha... You got me there.",
"First the thing with Hypno and now this... I'd like to take a break from saving the world. After this, it's going to become a daily routine.",
"I want a well-paid vacation for all this." Jacky said.
"Me too. Preferably with a pool on some island somewhere far away from all this stress.",
"A vacation villa in Undella would be enough for me. Who needs a pool when you have the sea? Oh, that would be it...",
"Well, I prefer Oblivia as a vacation spot", Mari laughed. "Rembow Island, for example, is supposed to be beautiful.",
"So is Alola.",
"Oh yeah... Alola... Palm trees galore!",
"Especially since I think this is a once in a lifetime thing." Jacky leaned back. "When we're done in Sinnoh, I'm sure nothing like this will ever happen again, and we can continue our journey in peace and comfort.",
"We'll end up getting bored with it.",
"I hope not!",
"Me neither." They both started laughing out loud.
The flight itself was smooth and soon, Unova appeared below them. Skyla steered the plane toward the Mistralton airport and they landed. They disembarked the plane. "Okay, let's go mega-stone hunting!" Mari stretched her arms. "First stop: Annoying a bunch of old monks!",
"Do you think Nate is very old?",
"I don't know, I've never seen him. How would I know?",
"Could be.",
"Well, maybe he is, maybe he's not, we'll see!"
Jacky just laughed and then waved to Skyla. "See you then! Goodbye!" She waved back. "Good luck with your search.",
"Thanks!" The two swung onto their flying Pokémon and flew off, heading towards Lacunosa. "Mission Annoying Old Monks and Infiltrating Temple Mountain has been launched!" Mari announced exuberantly. "Sounds good to me!",
"Sounds like an action movie", Jacky commented.
"Indeed! Unova, we're back! Next stop, Lacunosa! Oh Arceus, I sound like a commentator!", "Pffft... Over the rolling waves we glide swiftly with the wind, with hope in our hearts and ambition in our eyes.",
"Did you just try to sound like Soleil?",
"Uhm... no." Jacky chuckled. "That wasn't intentional.",
"You really need to stop that, it didn't sound half as cool as Soleil's speeches, even though I never got a single word of what she was trying to get across", Mari thought. Jacky contorted her face in offense. "Hey, that's mean!",
"Pout all you want.",
"I'm not pouting! Ugh, anyway, let's just change the topic!",
"Go ahead then.",
"I wonder what the others are doing right now. Kattlea, Chris, Yuna, Viv, L..." She stifled the last name, but she might as well have spoken it out, because Mari knew who had once again crept into Jacky's thoughts without permission. "Laslow?",
"...Yes." Jacky blushed.
"You're as red as a tomato. Again",
"I am not!",
"Yes, you are. Do you have a fever?",
"No...",
"You're a really bad liar, Jacky~",
"I...!" She tried to talk her way out of it somehow.
"Don't even try. Any idiot can see you have a crush on him.",
"That's not-",
"Liiiiiaaaar!"
Lacunosa came into view. "I've never had a crush on anyone!" Mari announced almost proudly.
"I don't have a crush, darn it!" Jacky tried to clarify one last time.
Mari laughed. "I don't believe a word you say. I really don't. Not at all."
