A year and a half ago, when she'd first come to Cherryton High, she had thought Louis to be speciest against carnivores because of the strength they possessed and the dangerous instincts that dwelled within their minds and hearts-the danger those instincts posed to herbivores. She thought he was too ignorant and small minded to know the struggles carnivores faced on a daily. It was why she threatened him, it was why she told him that the position of Beastar was going to be hers, and never his.

But she was wrong. She was so terribly wrong. She was so naïve to the cruelty of the world around her, to the true cruelty carnivores showed to herbivores. Yes, she had seen the many devouring's on the news. Yes, she knew the black market exist for carnivores to eat herbivore meat, but she had believed that carnivores could be better than that, stronger.

But after all she'd seen here, after the story Louis had told her…

She realized how monstrous carnivores could be.

Children. The carnivores here were eating children for their own pleasure, eating them alive! And the red deer standing beside her, he'd seen all of those horrors, experienced them. She was sure he'd seen kids be taken from their cells and never return, she was sure he'd seen some of the kids screaming out of fear, not wanting their lives to be stolen from them. He'd seen the worst of this world. He'd seen the worst of carnivores.

He knew how monstrous she could become, if she wanted to, if she dared to.

And yet…

And yet…

"How can you even stomach bringing me on a date," Juno half yelled, her echoes powerful as they reverberated through the hallways. "How could you even stomach the thought of me falling in love with you, after all the horrible things carnivores have put you through? The moment I kissed you, you should've spat in my face and called me a dumb, selfish bitch, because that's exactly what I am for doing that."

She was so ashamed of herself for yelling at him. She was such a fool.

"You should be hating carnivores; you should be trying to take revenge on us however you can." Juno clenched her jaw, another tear streaming down her cheek. "But you took me on this date and showed me your past, showed me the weakest parts of yourself. Why? Why would you ever fall in love with a carnivore? Why would you bring me here, if it reminds you so much of your dark past? Why—" She suddenly paused at that last sentence, realizing the question she'd just asked.

Why would you bring me here, if it reminds you so much of your dark past?

It was the exact same question she asked at the restaurant, with the same purpose.

But that wasn't the question she wanted to ask, not really. That wasn't the question she wanted an answer to. Juno breathed in, calming herself—if only barely. No more avoiding it, no more beating around the bush, she was going to say it directly. "Why did you bring me on this date, Louis?"

He remained silent, for too long.

She whipped around, her teeth bared, angry at him, at herself, at the world she lived in. But when she saw his face, his hazel eyes, the emotions that were displayed in them, her anger washed away, like a tiny shell on the seashore. Peace, certainty, hope—that was what she saw on his face.

She wanted to kiss him again—

Louis reached into his pocket and slipped out his phone, the flashlight illuminating the dark space. But then, Louis slipped something else from his pocket, a small piece of paper the size of a business card, and handed it to her.

Juno took the piece of paper from him, looking down at it. It was a picture of a female cheetah. She looked old but beautiful nonetheless.

Juno looked back up at Louis, confused.

Louis head was turned to the side, his gaze locked onto the decaying cell walls, as if he were deep in thought. "My father may have adopted me but we share qualities and taste that are so similar to each other." His gaze returned to her. "That female cheetah in the photo. That's my father's secret wife."

Juno's mouth slightly gaped. "Secret wife?"

"I found it some days after he died, tucked in the bottom of one of his drawers." Louis sighed, lowering his head. "I always wondered why he never married. My father claimed he wasn't able to have kids, yet there were never any records of him having a wife prior. At least I know the real reason why he adopted me."

"He couldn't have a hybrid becoming the heir of his company," Juno said, sadly, her deep blue eyes returning to the photo. "What are you trying to tell me, Louis?"

She truly wished she could take back that question. She didn't want him to answer it.

"Even my father understood the risk an interspecies relationship would have on his company and his life, so he decided to hide it away." Louis took a step back, leaning against one of the bars, his gaze remaining on the floor.

Juno felt her stomach swell and her heart crack.

"A few days before I asked you out, I visited that cheetah, finding her address on the back of the photo. Her name was Sarah. She was tense at first, thinking I was some spy trying to expose my father for being in an interspecies relationship, but she eventually calmed down and told me everything."

Louis breathed in through his nose, his chest expanding. "My father had fallen in love with her years before he 'adopted' me. He used to spend every second he could with her. And eventually, my father asked to marry her, in secret, and she accepted. But their secret marriage didn't last long. It ended when a video of my father entering a female cheetah's house exploded across the internet, but he managed to cover it up. After that, he cut off all contact with her and they've never seen each other since. The only time he communicated with her was after his death, through a letter sent in the mail. The letter, she told me, had a check holding a large sum of money in it—and a pair of wedding rings. Rings he was never able to give her."

Louis stood up from where he leaned, looking down at the ground, as if he were contemplating his next words.

Are you still going to choose society over me?

"Juno," he said, "I wanted to follow my father's example and cut all ties with you, permanently. Even at the restaurant, I considered it, and it's why I didn't answer your question directly, and I'm sorry for that."

Something within her chest ached the sight of Louis's eyes tuning glossy. She wanted to comfort him with soft, soothing words, she wanted to assure him that everything would be okay, but she stopped herself. For some reason, she stopped herself.

He blinked and blinked, but a tear managed to escape. "But I know what I want now."

Please.

"I don't want to make the same mistake my father made. I don't want to hide the things I love under a rug and remain fearful of society." Louis closed the distance between them, his eyes never leaving hers.

Juno gazed up at him, her heart beat beginning to rise, her tail swaying, if only slightly.

"I want you to be apart of my life, Juno." He placed a hand on her cheek, stroking the fur there, his muzzle mere inches from hers. "No matter the consequences we face together, I only want you."

"Louis," she breathed, and she suddenly realized she couldn't take her eyes away from his. I don't want to hold back anymore.

Without warning, Juno launched herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him, fully, her tail wagging without any restraint. In her excitement, she must've forgotten her strength as a carnivore, because Louis stumbled, dropping his phone as he fell back against the rusted bars.

Her eyes shot wide open and she departed from the kiss, her tail still as guilt clutched her chest. "Louis—"

Juno didn't get to finish as Louis pulled her into another kiss, running his hands across her exposed back, her neck and her ass. She moaned, closing her eyes, accepting the kiss, deepening it however she could. She didn't know how to kiss, not really, but she could care less. She never wanted his lips to leave hers.

Juno gasped into Louis's mouth, arching herself into him as he gripped her ass, massaging it, his hand moving down, his thumb piercing her dress, reaching in between her thighs—despite her wagging tail. She suddenly became very aware of the heat between her legs. She wanted him, she wanted him so badly.

She explored his slim back with her hands, her claws piercing the fabric of his suit. She internally pouted, hating the material that prevented her from feeling his bare fur, from feeling the heat of his body. She wanted it off!

She almost let out a cry of outrage when Louis broke the kiss, but she quickly silenced herself when she saw him slip off his suit and buttoned up shirt in a matter of seconds, his torso completely exposed to her. Louis must've read her body language, her touches, to know exactly what she wanted. It honestly impressed her.

Though, at the sight of his bare fur, Juno noticed that she began salivating, heavily. She swallowed it, a sense of worry coming over her, but before she could linger on the thought for a second longer, Louis planted his lips against hers and pinned her against the stone wall.

All of her worries vanished, like dew in the morning sun, as Louis started feeling on her body again, worshipping every curve. He cupped one of her breasts in his hand, his fingers squeezing and stroking it. She trembled at the sensation, realizing how sensitive her breasts were in this moment.

Gracefully, Louis broke the kiss, a string of salvia between their lips. His muzzle only mere inches away from hers, he smiled and gazed down at her breasts, as if he were admiring pure diamonds. "They're beautiful," he said, and he kissed the exposed part her of her breast. She gasped, thrusting her hips against his. "My only disappointment is they're hidden under your dress."

Immediately, Juno pulled the strap of her dress over her shoulder, letting it slide down her arm. As she did so, she heard Louis's breath deepen, his eyes widening, only slightly.

I'm such a virgin. I could've at least teased him. But she wanted him, she wanted all of him, now. Her hands scrambled for the bodice of her dress, but Louis stopped her, placing his own hand over hers. "Let me do it," he said, lowly. Breathing heavily, her body shaking, she nodded.

Dear Rex, why am I feeling… scared? It's my first time, I know… but… I'm a wolf for crying out loud.

Louis pulled her bodice down, smoothly, gently, and Juno swallowed a lump in her throat at the anticipation. Never before had she shared her body like this with another male. She'd always dreamed of giving her body to a male who truly loved, cared for her, and now that dream was coming to life. A part of her wondered if that was the reason why she was so nervous and scared.

She shivered as the cool, summer night air kissed her naked breast, her blood roaring in her ears.

"Juno, I can hear your heart beat, it's pounding. We can stop if you want to." He looked up at her, his hazel eyes gentle in a way she'd never seen before—in a way she thought nobody had ever seen before. It calmed her, if just a little.

She shook her head, her body tense. "I-it's—I'm fine. We can keep going."

"Okay." His hands gingerly moved up her tight stomach and to her chest, cupping her breast from underneath, his palm massaging over her erect tit. "Louis," she moaned, her breath quivering.

"Juno," he whispered, "I want you." He connected their lips, slipping his tongue into her mouth, kissing her deeply. She closed her eyes, a meek sound escaping her before Louis separated the kiss. He said in a lover's voice, "I've wanted you since the day you kissed me." His lips lowered down to her neck, grazing the soft, bristled fur there, traveling lower, planting a kiss with every inch he moved. He traveled down to her collar bone, her chest, before reaching home.

Juno arched her back, her muzzle open in silent gasps as he lightly sucked on her breast, on her tit, his hands stroking her sides, rubbing her belly.

Then, his hands paused and his warm lips withdrew from her breast.

Annoyance and primal, female anger stirred within her, and Juno's own lips began to pull back, revealing the whites of her fangs. A deep growl rumbled at the base of her throat, one that reverberated through both of their bodies. And Juno said, lowly, so terrifyingly lowly, "Why did you. Stop."

Louis answered, without even a hint of fear in his tone. "Because I don't want my first time with you to be in here, I don't want your first time to be in here." His gaze, his body and his voice were all calm, as if his instinctual fear for carnivores had been completely removed from him, replaced by…

She didn't know what those instincts had been replaced by. Love, something in the deep, crevasses of her mind whispered.

Louis lifted his head, his muzzle close enough to her own to share breath. "Not in a place where carnivores allowed themselves to become monsters." He kissed her, softly, a hand on her furry cheek, his fingers only inches away from her fangs. "You're not a monster, Juno, you're a beautiful, powerful female wolf."

The words touched her heart, calmed her, that feral rage drifting away like leaf's in the wind. "Louis..." Her voice cracked on his name. She'd almost bared her fangs at him, and may have done worse if she hadn't calmed down. She almost allowed herself to give into her carnivorous instincts.

Juno avoided Louis's loving gaze; her expression painted with guilt, she said, "I was about to bare my fangs at you for stopping." Louis caressed the fur on her cheek, and she couldn't stop her tail from wagging as he did so. "I'm sorry."

"You don't ever have to apologize for your carnivorous instincts." His words were comforting and forgiving, warming her heart, making her feel lighter. Juno's deep blue eyes flicked up to meet his hazel. "You're perfect, for everything that you are."

Her tail wagging, a smile spread on her lips. "I never would've guessed you were a sweet-talker, Louis."

He chuckled, his smile wide and full, revealing every one of his pearl white teeth. "Me neither." Juno couldn't help but notice how the look in his eyes had completely changed, how there was a light beginning to beam in them. Happiness. In this moment, Juno realized, Louis was truly happy—with her.

Juno was sure if her tail wagged any faster it would fall off.

"Now, how about we get dressed and leave this place." Louis said. "Let's go to the Neon District, they'll allow interspecies couples there." His smile suddenly turned seductive, his eyes tracing down her body in a way that had Juno's heartbeat increasing. He grasped her breast in his delicate hand, massaging over them in a slow, circular motion, before moving down to her belly. "Okay?"

Juno nodded, though she heard something completely different than 'okay'. The look in his eyes, the way he was touching her and the smile he was giving all voiced out unspoken words. By the end of tonight, I want to have worshipped every part of your body, okay?

Juno gulped. This was going to be a first-time experience she'd never forget. Still… "Don't expect me to let you be so dominate next time, Louis." She said, giving him a stern, angry look. "This may be my first time but that doesn't I'm completely clueless about sex."

Louis smirked. "I guess we'll see. Though, you seemed to enjoy having me take the lead just a moment ago."

Juno face heated up, though she did her best to keep her angry look. But judging on the widening of Louis's smirked, she seemed to have failed. "You… you were rubbing my belly; how could any canine not enjoy that?"

"You have a point." He shrugged lightly. "Fine, then, no belly rubs allowed."

Juno cocked her head. "Are you trying to start a contest?"

Louis smiled and gave her another quick kiss. "You'll see."

Juno smiled back, excited and horny for the handsome buck in front of her.

Though, in the corner of her vision, she saw the small, black figure, standing in the corner of the cell, smiling sadistically at her.

She ignored it completely. She was going to enjoy her date night with Louis.
