CATALOGUE:
Hello everyone, and welcome to my first ever fanfiction story. While this is the first story I have published here, it is, by no means, the first fanfiction I have written.
If I may, I would like to call myself something of a fanfiction veteran, as I'm sure many of us can relate... having read hundreds upon thousands of stories.
To start off, I would like to address an issue I've had with some fanfiction stories. While it may be an odd addition, I've always found the longer stories kind of tedious to read, as there are always parts that we skip (don't say you haven't, we all know there are those times).
Not just that. Sometimes when an author publishes a story that covers many different books, time periods and the like, and you struggle to remember where each part starts and begins.
I've made it a point to include three things in my stories.
First, is a Catalogue, or index for those of you who prefer the term. This catalogue/index will include Arcs, years, or any other way to make it easier to navigate my stories.
Second, will be an Author's introduction to the story, and just some things you may, and may not find inside.
Third, will be the synopsis. I know this is included in the story description, but I'm including it here also.
Please let me know what you think of these. PM me, leave reviews on my stories, whatever.
The one thing I like is feedback.

AUTHOR'S INTRODUCTION:
Hello guys and girls.
I would like to welcome you all to my first official fanfiction story. During this introduction, I will be going through a rundown of the story, and what you may, and may not... find inside.
Infinite Space, in my opinion, is one of the best games I've ever played... it's right up there with Mass Effect and Red Dead Redemption.
I know what some of you are thinking: the ending sucks. But to me, I don't mind it. Besides... I believe that it isn't the ending, so much as the journey.
The people you meet. The places you go. The feels, and stumbles. The obstacles you face. The trials and tribulations. Those are what make a story; what make it worth going through.
First.
This story is a fanfiction, though most of it will be a word-by-word recount of what is in the game. Despite this, and for those of you who have played the game, I have elaborated upon certain parts, and changed things to suit. On top of that, you will also find parts of this story that are completely my own.
Second.
Ship and ship names. The ships, modules, and names that are in this story are there to better suit the events, not my personal preferences. You won't find one of Yuri's ships named (ENTERPRISE, KRAKEN, MILLENNIUM FALCON) those don't fit in the story, so don't get your hopes up.
Also, I may name various modules equipped on Yuri's ships, and these are there for a reason, not because I want them there.
Another thing I would like to point out. For those of you who have, and have not played the game... I would like to quickly recap the crew positions, and some characters too.
Crew positions.
In the game, you start off with barely enough people to fill every post; by the end, you have enough crew to fill each post 3 times over. In my story, every character will be assigned a post, be it on Yuri's flagship, or any of his other ships. On top of that, I have also made up a few new roles to suit the story too. Which you will find out as you read.
On to the Characters.
Some characters that you recruit in the game just disappear after a while, and you never hear from them again. While I may miss a few, I will try to include those characters in the story as much as I can. Some characters I may elaborate on their background and history, not necessarily crewmembers, but others as well.
Some characters fates and deaths may change as I go, so keep an eye out as you read, and let me know what you think.
In relation to the above, the story will be roughly the same for most of the chapters, until we begin getting into the later parts... mostly near the ending of Act 2.
In regard to the ending, it will be different, and I plan on expanding the story to include a third act. Because of this, and as I said before, things will be different in the latter half.
This story will cover all of ACT 1.
The next story - Infinite Space: Yuri the Man, will cover all of ACT 2.
The Last story in the trilogy, Infinite Space: The Unending Journey will cover ACT 3.
I would also ask for your patience, as well as your feedback. I welcome constructive criticism, as it helps me write better in future.
I hope you guys will enjoy reading this story as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
