THAT SYLVEON

OKAY! The motivation I got to start developing this chapter is certainly a story for another day. But, I temporarily took a break from upping That Glaceon so I could work on this for a little. Do you guys feel there's a difference? (Honestly I kinda don't XD) Anyways, ADVANCE, with the 33rd chapter!

We don't own anything.

After lodging his keys into the slot of a door, Raidon entered his house with ease. Of course, the premises were humid, dimly lit and fatherless. However, it were these four black walls that the Luxray called home.

Rubbing his paws on the welcome mat, Raidon shut the door and walked into the first entrance he saw, leading to the lounge. Of course, his mother, an Absol, would always be found in her favourite spot on the couch, knitting another scarf that she'd never wear.

"Hi, Mom." he spoke, coming to a place on the carpet that was just before where his mother laid.

Abby rose her deadly-red eyes to see her only son.

"Welcome back, Raidon. How did you enjoy school?"

Once Raidon had recounted everything that happened in this one day, it certainly was a positive for him. Although, whether he should tell his mother that or not…

"I-It uhh… It was fine..." stammered Raidon, yet didn't get the look of approval on Abby's face that he was expecting. Instead, his mother had slit her eyes, having a frown descending on her maw.

"Raidon. You know I hate it when you mumble."

"Sorry!" excused the Luxray, sheepishly laying onto the carpet. "I said it was fine, Mom."

"Better."

Awkwardly, Raidon fumbled with a bit of yarn at the foot of the couch.

"So um… How are you today, Mom?"

"Fine."

"Okay."

Silence brewed between the two members of the room, before Raidon had another go at conversation with his elder.

"So… How's Dad?"

"Raidon, do you not have other things to do?" deadpanned the ruthless disaster Pokemon, not bothering to glance up from her work.

Raidon bit his lip worriedly, needlessly taking a look at what surrounded him. The north window and the central lightbulb conspired against the shadows to illuminate the lounge. Of course, there was no television, yet the designer carpet and dark themed couches provided more than enough entertainment for someone like Raidon.

Then, the Luxray fished around in his mane, before pulling out his phone.

"Hey Mom, could I ask you a question, please?"

"Mhm." responded the occupied Dark type. At least she had given him a shred of attention today overall.

"So um, my friend showed me this picture earlier today." Raidon described, showing his mother the image in question on his cell phone. "He was asking if I recognised these people, but I had no idea. Are these guys like old school battlers, or-"

Despite their age difference, Abby's reflexes overpowered her son's, as she nabbed the phone out of the Luxray's paw. She glared at the defenseless screen with wide, desperate crimson eyes.

"Raidon, tell me - Where'd you find this picture!?" demanded the deadly dark type, staring down her own child with destructive daggers of death.

Lurching backwards in fright, the young Luxray gazed at the warrior holding his phone.

"I-It was from my friend!"

Now, Abby's orbs had become sharp slits as she snarled through gritted teeth.

"WHICH FRIEND!?"

"B-Barry…" croaked Raidon, now ridden with fear. The vicious look his mother gave him the hint that she wanted more. "Barry Bursyamo, I mean."

"Bursyamo… Of course…"

Immediately, Abby had stepped off the couch, having the phone strewn carelessly on the couch. Raidon watched her mother from the floor, taking a atlas out from the bookcase and striding out the door.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Raidon put away his phone, and decided it was time to seek refuge in his room. There was a time and place to make conversation with his mother - it definitely wasn't now.

"…"

Abby came rushing back into the room, frisking her son's phone out of his fur.

"I'm going to be taking this also."

"Aww…"

Then for real, she left the room briskly. Raidon was left confused, scared, and now without a phone.

"Just like middle school..."

In his arms, two small Riolus of equal looks, size and weight cried mercilessly. Barry couldn't even wipe the sweat from his brow, given how occupied his was in the lounge. The Blaziken stood carrying the duo of towel-clad new-born babies while his mother laid unconscious on the soft black couch. At his feet, broken eggshells. He snuck a look at said Lucario, witnessing a unnameable liquid stained on the couch, as well as quite a bit of blood. Talk about a sight for sore eyes. As of now, there wasn't much that he could do on his own.

Thankfully, Barry had spent a lot of time working on his ambipedal and prehensile abilities. Gingerly reaching into his chest tuft with his left talon, the fire type pulled out his phone while minding his siblings. Punching in 999, Barry put the speaker function on, and waited patiently for someone to pick up.

*RING*

*RING*

Barry cringed, the sharp wails of dissatisfied babies rang in his ears, and everything in between. He hadn't even the opportunity to properly sit down yet.

*RING*

*RING*

"Hello?" came a feminine voice from the other end of the line.

A smile came onto Barry's face, glad that he could finally do something about these infernal infants.

"Hello? This is an emergency! My mother just gave birth to two children, a-and she's unconscious! Could you send an ambulance?!"

"...Uuuummm…"

Judging by the concern plastered on Barry's mask, it was not exactly the answer he was looking for.

"I-Is there something wrong with the services, ma'am?"

The voice on the other side seemingly disappeared for about an entire minute. To the stressed Blaziken, it felt like an entire century. At least he could be accompanied by the sounds of petrified screaming.

"Sir? Are you still there?"

"Y-Yes! I'm here! Do you want our address?"

"Umm… I really regret to inform you that we've just sent out our last dispatch of available ambulances ten minutes ago. If you wait for our next dispatch, it would take another two and a half hours approximately."

Barry felt like slamming everything he had on him to the ground in distress, but recalled that he was carrying very precious cargo.

"Aw! I understand ma'am. Thank you."

I don't know why, but I have no idea how it's possible for ALL of the ambulances to be in use at the local hospital. What's going on?

Perhaps there has been a natural disaster recently.

Uh-oh. This would be a bad time for a disaster. Let's just hope whatever happened doesn't come here.

After ending the call, the fifteen year old no-longer-only-child sifted through his list of contacts for the next possible option.

This is getting a bit surreal. I really hope Aunt Bonnie would answer.

Barry's thoughts manifested into him dialling his Auntie's number quickly. While he waited for the number to ring, the Blaze type Pokemon attempted to cheer his newborn siblings by gently bobbing up and down.

"Come on, you two! Lighten up! Being alive isn't so bad…"

Nothing that the teenager advised seemed to make a difference to the band of bawling babies. To make matters worse, one what cradled in his left arm turned a bit cranky, and began to gnash at his chest area specifically.

"O-Oy!" Barry exclaimed wildly in a cocktail of shock and embarrassment, nearly dropping the other child in his right talon. "There's nothing for you to drink there! Just be patient!"

*RING*

*RING*

"Hello, hello! You've reached the line of Bonnie Bursyamo! Unfortunately, I'm not around to answer this call, so make sure you leave a message!"

*BEEP*

Groaning, the poor fire and fighting type hung up the line, going to another relative for help. His sanity now balanced on whether this recipient would pick up the call or not.

'Uncle Julley' was the name displayed on his phone. Barry pressed the green call button, as well as the loudspeaker option, before waiting once again. He glanced at the child in his right talons, who had ceased crying a little. Unlike the identical Riolu in his left arm, this one had it's eyes wide open, putting it's orangey-red eyes on display.

"So… Welcome to the world of Pokemon, I'd suppose." Barry began, looking back and the unnamed Riolu. "But first, tell me a little bit about yourself. Now tell me, are you a boy? Or are you a girl?"

*RING*

*RING*

"Umm, hello? Hello?"

Barry had to leave introductions for another time, as he put his foot closer to his face. Never thought I'd say that seriously.

"Uncle Julley?! This is Barry!" exclaimed the Blaziken, his hopes high among the planes and miscellaneous flying types out and about. "It's an emergency! Mom's just given birth to two children, and we have no transport to the hospital! Dad's out on a tournament, also. Could you kit us out, if at all possible and convenient?"

"W-What?! S-Seriously? Um, I'm at work right now, but just hang in there, alright? I'll be over as soon as I can."

Barry had a smile on his face, but that couldn't brush away the bags out from under his eyes.

"T-Thank you so much Uncle Julley! I'll see you soon!"

"It's fine! Take care of Jasmine. I'll uhh… Be about an hour, g-give or take. My boss is really strict."

The line cut, so Barry was essentially left on his own for the next sixty minutes. That meant he had three people in total to take care of in this house. Setting down the phone, Barrágan shook and awoke the leg that he had been balancing on for the past ten minutes. Next, he glanced at his two siblings and sighed exasperatedly.

"I reckon, this is where things get interesting."

***54 minutes remain***

Barry had gotten to work quickly by wrapping his mother in some towels, and positioning her comfortably to rest. Then, he had prepared some artificial yet nutritious Moo-Moo milk for his new siblings who were perched carefully on the adjacent couch. One of them, who could open their eyes comfortably, downed the milk as if there was no tomorrow. However, the other defective Riolu refused to drink any sort of milk under any circumstances. Instead, they settled for relentless bawling.

"C'mon, you!" pleaded the first born Bursyamo, slowly prodding the small Riolu with the dairy-filled sippy cup. "It's really good for bones!"

With a disrespectful swipe from the crying infant, the sippy cup was knocked out of Barry's talon, and onto the floor. The milk splashed everywhere upon impact, before sadly seeping out onto the carpet.

Horrified at the mess, the torn teenager turned back to the prepubescent perpetrator. As Arceus would have it, the Riolu was no longer crying - now, they had a small smile on their faces, clasping their miniature paws together.

"Aw. What a crafty one you are."

***41 minutes remain***

The duo Riolu's were sat on the couch peacefully now, while Barry sat in front of them on the carpet, where there was previously a milk stain. He put his talons below his beak, and gently caressed the keratin that made it.

"Since we'll be here for awhile, and you both still don't have names, how about I give you some?"

Of course, the twins couldn't understand what he was saying, yet it was worth having some sort of company here.

Barry pointed to the more docile Riolu, still sipping on the milk he had provided for them.

"I'll name you, Sami, because it's unisex..."

He then looked at the aggressive sibling who had assaulted him earlier with an optimistic turn on his beak.

"And I'll call you Aaron! You two can be just like the Game Grumpigs!"

Almost immediately, the baby began crying like it was no ones business, startling both Barry and "Sami". The former sighed again, brushing his brow.

"Not a fan, I'd suppose?"

***26 minutes remain***

Around now, both children were crying indefinitely. Barry had no idea how his mother was able to still be asleep through all of this.

The young teen had tried almost everything in the book, although to no triumph over these terrifically terrible twins. Barry was on the verge of panic, yet was stopped in his tracks as soon as he got a waft of whatever scent was in the air.

"..."

"..."

"DIAPERS!"

***19 minutes remain***

Barry stood with his head held high, and with one of the wailing Riolu twins in his arms. The other was patiently waiting on the couch for some sort of change in the environment.

"I know you're a baby and all, so it's no surprise that you've been crying for so long." spoke Barry. It was certainly more of a monologue than a conversation. "At the very least, you're really cute, right!?"

The baby ceased crying, clinging onto Barry's feathers possessively.

"Well… great to know that I have a few younger sisters now…" mused the Blaziken, elevating the Riolu up and down. "I wonder what Mom and Dad are going to name you, Frogadier Bernardeschi!"

A few rapid knocks came from the door. Barry was delighted and relieved to open it, as he skipped over to answer with one of his little sisters in his arms.

"Glad that you could make it, Uncle Ju-" started Barry. Although, he had paused when he had realised who was actually standing at the door. It wasn't an Umbreon at all. Instead, it was an Absol who wasn't very far off in height compared to the Blaziken.

"Hello." uttered the Absol, who stared at the poor teen with eyes that could make a hole in a wall.

Barry frowned a little. "Good afternoon! Sorry, I was expecting my Uncle to arrive. How can I be of service, Ma'am?"

"Are you Barry Bursyamo?" questioned the Dark type.

The eyebrows that sat above Barry's irises rose a few centimetres. This Absol seemed to be a really good guesser.

"Barrágan, yes. That's me." Barry answered, although he held his Riolu closer to his torso. "Umm… By any chance, are you from the internet service providers? I'm a tenant of the house, but I don't pay any bills, Ma'am…"

"That'll do. Abby, by the way."

"Nice to meet you, Miss Abby... Umm..."

Glancing down, Barry caught wind of the serrated blades that made up the disaster Pokemon's claws, and began perspiring slowly.

"Now - Barry, I won't mitigate anything for you. You're about to die. I'm going to kill you." dictated the Absol, as she took a few steps toward the fire type. "Don't struggle. You're an adorable kid, so I want to make this quick."

"E-E-Excuse me?" sputtered the now scared stiff Barry, who now felt his legs turn to stone. "W-W-W-Wait! Don't hurt me, please!"

"It's nothing personal." deadpanned Abby, stretching out her forearms and now ready to pounce. "Also, don't scream. That'll always cause unnecessary problems. Arceus, it's been so long since I've done this."

"W-WAIT!" shrieked Barry, out of instinct.

Abby didn't say anything in protest. However, she cocked her head, and stopped at the door entrance.

"I-I just… My mother just gave birth to two girls, a-and she may need immediate treatment! Please don't murder me, Ma'am. Please!"

Now, Abby became interested.

"Is that a fact?" Abigail prodded, now with a smirk of mischief upon her. "What's your mother's name, Barry?"

"J-Jasmine Bursyamo, Ma'am. But, I plead to you, don't harm her!"

"Jasmine?"

The Absol seemed to stand there, locked in time. It would've been an opportune time for Barry to make a hasty escape. Although, that more or less meant a worse outcome for him.

"Y-Yes, that's her name."

"..."

"..."

"Umm… Ma'am? Are you alright?"

Abby stared down the teenage Blaziken holding the now asleep Riolu.

"Alright, fine. Because my problem doesn't concern you, I'll take you and your mother to the hospital. However, you'll have to do a few things for me, in return. Understand?"

"Understood, Ma'am."

Although it was a risk listening to a stranger, Barry heaved his mother onto his back, and found a way to carry his sisters in both of his arms. After shutting the door, he followed the Absol to a black car that was parked outside the compound of the estate. Weirdly enough, he spotted that the car didn't have a license plate.

Was this car always here?

It must belong to the Absol.

Oh, of course. Honestly, it feels like I'm being kidnapped. Please don't tell me I'm walking into trouble…

In any case, heed to the Absol's instructions. It is not worth potential repercussions.

Right, you're right. It's all so surreal, though.

Abby ushered the burdened Blaziken inside the back seats of the car, and waited until he had found comfort in it. Then, she trotted to the drivers' seat, before putting the car into first.

"Make sure you hold onto those kids tightly, alright?" told Abigail, accelerating off the kerb and onto the main road.

Pulling in his sisters closely, Barry looked out the window with a slight frown, hoping for nothing but the best for himself and his family.

Barry then peeked at the rear view mirror, spotting the piercing pupils that belonged to the woman who mysteriously appeared at his residence. If that didn't unsettle him, then the velocity that displayed on the speedometer definitely did.

"Um, Madame? If I may, our agreement was that you'd provide transport for us on the terms that I also do some things for you, right?" Barry recalled specifically. "What did you have in mind for me?"

Abby took the time now to put on her seatbelt. Does she have a license..? My advisors told me not to answer that question.

"A number of things. First, from now on, deny to everyone at all costs that you know me. Second, I want you to tell me how you got this picture, and if you recognise any of these people."

Barry was presented with a phone that had an image decorating the screen. It was an image he was very familiarised with - A Blaziken and an Umbreon, once again. He was concerned that the driver of the vehicle with 5 persons inside was able to multitask as well as she did.

"Uhhh… Honestly, I don't know the Blaziken in this picture. Apparently though, the Umbreon is… My grandmother?" the Blaze pokemon elaborated, being sure not to miss any critical details. "My father had shown me the picture earlier today, though."

"...Right. Your father is Brendan Bursyamo, if I'm not mistaken?"

"Yes, Ma'am."

It could've just been Barry and those ears of his, but he could've sworn Abby's reply was more than a hiss than a response. It certainly made this car ride worse than it was already.

"Well, regardless, you aren't to tell anyone about all of this, alright?"

"Understood."

"Good."

Tapping his talons against the carpet of the car, Barry was in deep thought and consideration. He was most surprised that these kids weren't crying like they did at the house. After a few minutes of silence, he piped up again.

"Excuse me, Ma'am? Why is it that you sought my family out over a picture?"

Abby and Barry made eye contact in the interior mirror. It was a one-sided contest, with a clear winner.

"It's more than just a picture." spat the Absol harshly, as if it was common knowledge. "It's the people involved that count."

"Why is that?"

"If I told you, there would be a very large possibility that I'd have to snap that lovely, succulent little chicken neck of yours."

"O-Oh. Duly understood, Ma'am."

Despite driving, Abby still made the effort to stare at Barry. His eyes bellowed of dread and trepidation. The disquieted sullen glower that had landed on the teen had made whatever was within Abby to feel like it had a weight on it.

He was a splitting image of her arch-nemesis way back when. Despite that, it pained her not only to look at the Blaziken, but also the asleep Riolus and unconscious Lucario. Almost to the point she wanted to overturn the vehicle and end her misery.

"Fine. Listen carefully. I'm only telling you this because I feel sorry for you." Abby had admitted, albeit refusing to take of that natural scowl of hers. "Understand this - that Blaziken is your grandfather, if it wasn't obvious."

Barry made a 'o' with his beak, as ridiculous as it sounded. An audible slap from Abby making a facepalm told the Blaziken that right now, wasn't one of his finest moments.

But that doesn't make any sense? Dad said in the morning that he didn't recognise that Blaziken, right? He can't tell it's our own grandfather?

Rolling her eyes, Abby looked back at the rear view mirror. "Congratulations on the discovery."

"Wow… I've never actually seen him before. I don't know any of my grandparents. How did you get associated to him? Are you related to him?"

Pouting, Abby thought of a way to put this nicely.

"Understandable. I'm not related to any of you at all. It's just that, my mentor had very close ties with him."

"Oh, that makes sense. Do you know where he is now?"

"Yes, and also no. Unfortunately, that man is dead."

Barry stared down at his legs in shock. He didn't know how to feel about the death of a Pokemon that he never knew, but was so close to.

"B-But… How?"

Abby shook her head.

"That's information that I must protect, on behalf of my mentor." she explained. Though, she did take a look back at the downcast Blaze Pokemon. "I'm sorry, Barry."

"I-It's fine. Thank you, Ma'am."

It now became apparent to Barry that they were now in the centre of the Western city. It wasn't too long for a car ride in silence to reach the hospital. Albeit helping the Blaziken out of the car, Abby didn't look like she wanted to enter the building. From the driver's seat, she commanded Barry.

"Go straight to the emergency rooms through the left side of this main entrance. Also, this never happened. Remember, you came in an ambulance."

"R-Right. Thank you once again, Ma'am." Barry responded gratefully, re-adjusting his mother's position on his back.

"It's fine. This will not be the last time we meet."

Without so much as a goodbye, Abby had revved off into a vanishing point, leaving the fire type in custody of his mother and new-born siblings.

Trudging toward the hospital doors, Barry wagged his head from side to side in disbelief. Above all, though, he held his mother close, and his sisters even closer.

On the television, a news broadcast that had a Panpour as the anchorwoman had the camera pointed down a very familiar street. In front of the television, sat brother and sister, Anais and Julius.

"Mass panic on the streets of West Latias! As you can see behind me, at least 19 ambulances stretching down the road. According to eye-witness accounts, earlier this afternoon, a white and navy blue blur - identified to be an Absol - torpedoed across various streets in what was to be believed as an 'unprovoked act of rage', critically injuring approximately 60 people."

Raising her eyebrows, Anais gave her brother a surprised look. On the other hand, Julius had no idea what was going on. He was just happy to be there.

"The Absol went from pedestrian to pedestrian demanding for the location of the famous Delta Emerald battler, Brendan Bursyamo. After injuring dozens, the suspect then appropriated a black sedan, and escaped the area. Officers are currently looking further into the investigation. Roads will be closed for the next few days, so make sure you prepare your journeys thoroughly. Back to you, Adam."

"Thank you very much, Pamela. Now in other news, Youtuber ProGareth-"

**SLAM**

The noise came from the main door, indicating the arrival of a family member. Although, the close of the door sounded a bit more violent than usual.

"Hey, Anais? Have you seen my keys? F-For the car, I mean. Please don't tell me your mother took them!"

Bursting into the foyer, Julley began scrambling around like a pinball in a machine. Anais, who sat closely to her brother on the lounge sofas, spectated her father in action with an amused face.

"Dad, you literally just got back from work. What's your issue?"

Stopping at the entrance to the lounge, Julley gazed at his daughter with wide open eyes.

"Your Aunt Jasmine just conceived two children at home! T-They need a lift to the hospital!"

"What?!" cried Anais, stepping off the couch, and slightly alarmed Julius a bit. "So we need to go now?"

"O-Of cour-"

**RING**

**RING**

Both parties were jolted by the sudden interjection of Julley's phone on the table. The caller ID was the Umbreon's nephew who notified him of the ordeal. Julley snagged the phone, and placed it to his ear.

"Hello? Barry? We're on our way! Just bear with us, alright?"

"O-Oh, well… Uncle Julley, could you meet us at the hospital instead? We um… We were escorted in an ambulance."

The Moonlight Pokemon breathed a sigh of joy, but still made the search for the keys to the car.

"Alright. That's much better news, though. We'll be there as soon as possible, alright?"

"Thank you! See you soon. Uh, we're in emergency room 17, by the way."

"Not a problem, Barry. See you."

The call ended, and there were slightly confused faces on Anais' and Julius' countenances. For the latter, it was because he had no idea what was going on.

Anais raised one of her ribbon-thingies above her head. "So um, what was that all about?"

"Well, apparently an ambulance picked them up anyway." told Julley, slightly less stressed out now. "So we just need to pay them a visit at the hospital, that's all."

"Oh. That's great news, actually!" cheered Anais, who then turned to her much younger brother, who was still in the dark about all of this. "Hear that Julius? You're gonna have a playmate that's finally your age!"

Julius analysed the faces of his relative Anais, and his father, before clocking through his 4 year old algorithm to find a suitable response.

"Yay!"

I'd reckon, this is the end of this chapter. No matter how long I typed, I seemed to be stuck at 1,000 words XD Finally happy to have broken through that threshold. Really really hope you guys enjoy this one. Big delay due to unexpected family arrivals, but now that's over, Hopefully I can get one more out before August comes to an end. Smell you later!
