Like I said, the timeline for Teen Wolf s4 is a little different, Scott bites Liam before they go to Mexico and Parrish is a phoenix instead of a hellhound. He was always a Phoenix, just like Lydia was always a banshee and the bite brought out her banshee side, but with Parrish it was the explosion that brought his Phoenix side out, he cannot die from serious injuries or explosions but will die of old age (cause its sad seeing everyone you love die and you're immortal)
Also, I have created a monster (in myself), I can't get the idea of another Teen Wolf/PR au, again with Stiles as a ranger. This time it's Dino Thunder, should I go for it? If I do: it will take place either after S2 or S3B. Originally I was going to have Peter be the one to provide a place for Stiles to stay as well as acting as his guardian, but the other day I was thinking that maybe Tommy could be his uncle, either on his dad's side or his mom's. Please tell me which one you would prefer
"on your feet," the purple knight said in a monotone voice, Stiles struggled to get up, as did the others "darkness has come"
"I got a bad feeling about this" Madison grunted
"I do not know you warrior, but if it is a fight you want, then it is a fight you shall get," Udonna said, standing in front of everyone
"hold on," Xander said, "let me try and reason with him" Stiles rolled his eyes and resisted the urge to facepalm as Xander stepped forward. This guy was seriously giving him Scott vibes, except without the puppy-dog eyes, hopefully, this guy wouldn't have Scott's 'no killing' rule (which was a stupid rule in Stiles' opinion) "hi, I'm Xander"
"I am Korrag. The night wolf" the knight now known as Korrag said before holding out his hand and began chanting, summoning a dark circle. Suddenly he began to grow and a giant horse appeared, Korrag jumped and grew giant before merging with the horse, becoming a centaur
"wow! a centaur!" Chip said in wonder "I want one!"
"stand back rangers, this is a battle too difficult for you," Udonna said and taking out her wand, she morphed before growing to the same size as Korrag, Stiles watched in wonder as both giant warriors? knights? fought against each other, but Korrag proved to be too powerful as he sent a bolt of lightning at Udonna causing her to let go of her grasp and fall to the ground, shrinking back to normal size, while demorphing.
Stiles watched as Udonna's wand fell from her grasp to the ground, where it shrunk back to normal size, while the others gathered around her, Stiles ran to the wand, knowing that it would be bad if Korrag got his hands on it. But before he reached the wand, small flames were fired at him and he had to jump to the side to avoid getting hit.
"not so fast spark," Korrag said, picking up the wand "although I must admire your bravery. We shall meet again soon," he said before disappearing and Stiles felt a shiver go up his spine
Later, Stiles and the others gathered in Rootcore and Claire was turned back to normal
"now that my magic wand is gone, I am unable to fight, but I can still teach you magic if you are still in"
"hell yeah! I'm not letting some creepy knight rule our world" Vida said and Madison nodded
"me too! I've always wanted to be a wizard!" Chip added, jumping on the balls of his toes
"I'm already learning magic, might as well put it to good use" Stiles shrugged
"quick question, what in the world is a spark?" Xander asked
"a spark is a rare magic-user thought to have died out years ago, and were thought to be some of the most powerful magic wielders" Udonna explained, "it was said that their magic is not limited to incantations, potions or other trinkets to use their magic, their magic is powered by their belief."
"wicked" Chip whispered
"so, since we started to use once because we believed, does that make us sparks?" Vida asked and Udonna shook her head
"your magic works differently than a sparks. Sparks have not been seen in over a hundred years, but they were very reclusive, so much of what we know about them is from legends. As for you four, I'm afraid you'll only be able to control your element, which you discovered earlier today"
"so..Vida can control the wind, Maddie can control water, Chip can control lighting and I can control plants?" Xander summarised
"plants as well as the earth" Udonna nodded
"cool. Count me in" Xander nodded and Udonna handed them the wands they previously left behind "do not go anywhere without your magic wands. They will help you control your magic"
"don't worry. We learned our lesson" Vida assured her, gripping her wand tightly
"no offence, but it might be a bit strange for us to be carrying these around, well, it might be good for chip" Xander pointed at Chip, who was currently pretending to shoot bad guys with it "but for the rest of us..." Udonna shared a look with Claire before waving her hand and muttering a spell, transforming the wands into gold flip phones
"there," she said as the teams admired the phones, (well, Stiles was admiring the transfiguration behind the spell) "I believe these are more suited to your generation"
"neat" Xander said
"cell phones. Nice" Vida nodded
"these are your Mystic Morphers, they are activated by spell codes that you will find along the journey. Now go back to the city and live your lives as normal as possible, but be wary; there is evil everywhere, and you would be best served speaking to no one about this"
"aw, do we have to leave now?" Chip pouted
"actually we should probably get going. I need to meet with my uncle" Stiles said and the others nodded
"yeah, our shifts start soon," Madison said and Udonna nodded
"I can show them the way out" Claire offered
"no, they must find their own way out of the forest," she said before turning to them "one more thing; the trees are your passage" they all nodded and walked out of rootcore, Stiles was about to follow but Udonna stopped him "Stiles, your lessons will be quite similar to what I am going to teach the others. But as you progress, your lessons will differ from them, that is when I will teach you separately. For now, you will learn how to harness your magic"
Stiles nodded and quickly ran out, hoping to catch up to the others and found them standing in from of a tree
"... it's amazing. You touch the tree and suddenly you see leaves, branches roots and then...bam! you're there! Just think of the tree in front of Toby's music store"
"no way!" Xander scoffed and placed his hand on the tree and disappeared, Chip, Vida and Madison glanced at each other before each placing a hand on the tree and Stiles watched with wide eyes as the others disappeared into the tree, he cautiously stepped forward and thought about the tree in front of his jeep, suddenly he found himself flying through branches, roots and leaves before popping out in front of his jeep.
"cool," he thought and wondered if it worked on the trees in Beacon Hills, that would save him tons of money on petrol, perhaps he should ask Udonna next time he saw her. He hopped in and drove back to town, carefully navigating through the streets before arriving at his uncle's music store. He saw that Nick was standing outside with his motorbike trying to fix it, he parked in front of him and grabbed the toolbox out of the back as Roscoe's engine was a bit off (but that was normal).
"hey" Stiles greeted, Nick sighed and rolled his eyes
"I'm not changing my mind" he grunted
"I'm not here for that, I'm just repairing my engine," Stiles said as he opened up the hood
"look, sorry for bailing on you, but I'm not much of a team player," Nick said after a few moments of silence, Stiles smiled as he found out what was stopping Nick from joining them.
"Neither was I, but once Scott became a werewolf and then a true alpha, I didn't have much of a choice"
"a true alpha?" both Nick and Stiles jumped at Udonna's sudden appearance "I thought they were just a myth"
"Yeah, Derek said the same thing, he's also a werewolf," Stiles said to Nick who looked confused "Long story. Anyways, a true alpha is when a werewolf becomes an alpha when they show a large amount of compassion and virtue." Stiles shrugged at the sceptical look on Nick's face "we still haven't quite figured it out yet, the emissary back home is very cryptic. Anyways, this means that he's now the leader of our pack"
Nick still looked unsure, so Stiles continued his story
"at first, Scott wasn't sure at being in charge but he's learning. He's being a leader but he's also asking for advice. Especially from me, I get like a dozen texts from him a day, just asking for advice. Speak of the devil…" Stiles said as his phone alerted him to a new text from Scott
Scotty: so…as it turns out, Liam has IED
Stiles' eyes widened at Scott's mention of his newest beta, although Scott had promised he wouldn't bite anyone, he had to bite Liam in order to save his life, of course. Scott had only mentioned it after he [Stiles] texted everyone that he had arrived in Briar Woods. 'Of course', Stiles had snarked that 'he was only gone a couple of days and the whole world falls apart'
Stiles: IED? You gave superpowers to a walking time bomb?!
Scotty: Yeah.-_-; Not my best moment. He's supposed to be playing in the big game tomorrow, but he can't if loses control on the field?!
Stiles: yeah, and tries to kill everyone. especially his BEST FRIEND. WHO WAS TRYING TO HELP HIM!
Scotty: that was ONE time!
Stiles: whatever man, you still tried to kill me!
Scotty: so, what should I do?
Stiles: does he have any medication?
Scott: yeah, but he doesn't take it. Said it makes his brain numb.
Stiles: makes sense, especially if he's not used to the medication
Scott: We need something more effective
Stiles: remember when you first started out and I did a bunch of stuff to help you control your heart rate?
Scotty: I remember getting beat up for scratching a guy's car, and getting hit with lacrosse balls. Which btw, hurt. A lot!
Stiles: Well, it worked didn't it?!
Stiles: besides, you're a werewolf. YOU healed.
Scotty: (e_e) [eye roll]
Scotty: SO not the point
Stiles: look, just do the same things I did, if they don't work. Then…too bad
Scotty: STILES!
Stiles: ;P
Stiles finished texting Scott and looked up to see Udonna and nick watching him "sorry about that. Look, Nick. Being a team player isn't just about following your team into battle, it's about listening to your teammates and helping them in the best way possible. When you do that, you create a bond, a bond so strong that no force can break it. You become a pack, a family. And together you can take on anything"
"you seem to be very familiar with this sort of thing," Nick said smiling and Stiles smiled back, knowing that (as usual) he was right and had given Nick something to think about. Udonna watched the both of them interacting,
'Stiles was truly something special' she thought 'he will make a fantastic embassy' "do you mind if I talk to Nick alone?" she asked out loud
"well, uh. I'm trying to fix my jeep and if I don't fix it now then..." Udonna waved her hand in front of Roscoe and it immediately rumbled to life without spluttering, Stiles stood there shocked, peeking under the hood he saw that the masking tape was gone and turned to her "can you teach me how to do that?" he asked weakly
"one day," she said with an amused smile, Stiles smiled before turning around and entering his uncle's store
"ah! Mich-Stiles!" Toby greeted him as he walked in "find your way around town?" Stiles gave him a weak smile, when he had first arrived Tony has called him mischief, the name he called himself when he was younger and couldn't pronounce his full name, but ever since his mom died, he had gone by Stiles.
"Yeah, mostly. I ran into your employees and they offered to show me around"
"ah good! You've met them, saves any awkward introductions than"
"Yeah, they're...nice. I guess"
Toby sighed "Stiles, you have to let people in, you have to trust people"
"I do trust people, people who have earned my trust after they prove they are trustworthy and not after one meeting"
"so, how come you arrived after the others? They didn't abandon you did they? cause if they did, I'd fire them, if I had more employees"
"no it's fine uncle Toby, Roscoe broke down, so I had to fix her"
"Claudia loved that jeep," Toby said quietly with a faraway look in his eyes, suddenly his Morpher beeped, Stiles made eye contact with the others and they nodded
"hey Toby, I noticed that we're a little low on supplies, how about we go show Stiles where we usually buy them?" Xander said as the group came forward
"alright, but if you lose him you have to explain it to his father" Toby called, Xander nodded and they all ran out of the store
"attack in the woods" Chip said, glancing at his Morpher, the others nodded and ran to the nearest tree, soon they found themselves back in the woods but their clothes had changed. They were now wearing a vest in their respective colours and a white t-shirt and pants with their symbol on it, as well as cloaks.
"Woah, check out the uniforms," Madison said in awe
"and a cloak!" Chip said excitedly as he flapped around while Vida scrunched up her nose
"I hate pink"
"you can make a complaint to the department later V, look," Xander said, they all turned to look at where he was pointing, another portal had opened up and more Hidiacs appeared
"I hope every day isn't going to be like this" Madison said and Stiles stifled a laugh as they all took fighting stances, despite what his friends thought, Stiles was not a 'helpless, defences human', being the Sherriff's kid his meant that his dad made him go to self-defence classes as well as how to escape any hostage situation and how to handle a firearm. It's just that self-defence wasn't all that helpful against the supernatural who were all stronger and faster than normal humans, nor was it useful against soulless mutants
"hey guys, I think now may be a good time for us to use our wands" Chip called as he struggled to get free from a Hidiac
"ya think?!" Stiles snapped as he kicked away another Hidiac and met up with the others
"Right, let's ranger up!" Xander said, the others nodded and threw off their cloaks before grabbing their Morphers and inserting the code before doing the sequence that Stiles and Udoanna had done earlier
"Magical Source, Mystic Force!"
Stiles morphed and felt the strange source of energy he had felt when he had morphed earlier, he glanced at the others and saw they were wearing similar suits to him, except in different colours and had a different symbol on their helmets. Xander was green with a bull, Chip was yellow with a bird of some kind, Vida was pink (Stiles had to back a snort) with a butterfly and Maddison was blue with a mermaid's tail.
"Strong as a tree, Green Mystic Ranger!"
"Fast as lightning, Yellow Mystic Ranger!"
"Ever-changing of the wind, Pink Mystic Ranger!"
"Fluent as the sea, Blue Mystic Ranger!"
"Mysterious as shadows, Black Mystic Ranger"
Stiles summoned his staff and changed into his pitchfork as he charged at the Hidacs alongside the others, Stiles used his pitchfork to slice at the Hidacs and launch slices of black energy at them, Xander used his staff to turn a stick into vines and wrap them around the Hidiacs before turning it into an axe and slamming it into the ground, destroying them completely. Madison was fighting several Hidiacs on the nearby lake, raising her Magistaff, she summonsed water geysers making the Hidiacs fly high into the air and land near Vida who her staff to turn her cape into large wings and spun the Hidiacs in a circle. Chip finished them off by turning his staff into a crossbow and firing a bolt of lightning from it.
"That. Was. Awesome!" Chip cheered
"This isn't so hard" Vida commented when the sky suddenly turned dark and a familiar dark laugh echoed around them
"it's Korrag!" Xander said as the dark knight appeared
"I'm back" he laughed
"We can take him," Vida said "right guys?"
"right!"
"guys wait" Stiles protested, but they paid him no mind as they charged at Korrag, "and I thought werewolves were stupid" Stiles muttered as he watched Korrag summon his sword and shield and shot his foxfire attack, which the others managed to dodge, Chip shot at him with his crossbow and Xander sent out energy attacks with his axe, meanwhile the girls shot beams of magic at him, but Korrag simply batted them away with his sword
"he knocked away our attacks!" Chip said in wonder and fear
"now you will taste the power of dark magic" Korrag shot another round of foxfire, this time they weren't able to dodge and the others fell to the ground, wincing in pain
"guys!" Stiles called in worry, just because he didn't trust them didn't mean he wanted them hurt
"you are coming with me spark, the master finds you useful," Korrag said, walking towards him and Stiles froze, there was no way he would be able to beat Korrag, not with his current experience of magic. Korrag marched towards him when an engine was heard and Nick came flying out of nowhere and leapt off his bike and rammed the bike into Korrag, knocking him back.
"Nick!" Stiles said as the others gasped
"now there are 6," Korrag said, recovering from the attack
"I guess there are," Nick said as Korrag charged at him "I guess this is a good time as ever to start believing in magic" Nick muttered as Korrag swung his sword and Nick raised his arms to block it. To everyone's surprise, a surge of energy was released from Nick's hands blocking the sword
"what?" Korrag said in amazement
"I believe in magic!" Nick yelled and pushed Korrag back, red sparks lew around Nicks's body, changing his street clothes into wizard's clothes. Nick smirked as his Morpher appeared in his hand, Nick then threw off his cape and opened his Morpher and morphed. His suit was similar to chips, as it had some sort of bird on his helmet, but was red instead of yellow.
"Red Ranger!" Xander called out in relief and awe
"ya Nick!"
"he believes!"
"way to go!"
While Stiles was happy, he was also angry. Now Nick believes in magic?! after seeing the others fight Hidiacs by summoning water from the ground and making lightning appear from nowhere wasn't enough to persuade him. but now he believes?!
"Fearsome as fire, Red Mystic Ranger!"
"humph. You are no match for me! Hidiacs arise!" Korrag said and a dozen Hidiacs rose from the ground, Stiles joined Nick and decided to quell his anger for now and help him
"you take half and I take half?" Stiles offered, holding up his pitchfork
"sure," Nick said, Stiles nodded and charged at the Hidiacs, slashing at them with his pitchfork when an idea suddenly popped into his mind. He slammed his pitchfork into the ground and watched as pillars of darkness shot out of the ground and destroyed more Hidiacs, Stiles gulped at the destruction and surge of power he felt, he quickly glanced at his fingers and did a quick count, he sighed in relief when he counted 10, he turned to see how Nick was doing and saw the fool fighting Korrag with a sword.
'are all leaders this idiotic?' Stiles wondered as Korrag easily beat Nick, sending him flying back, Korrag glanced at his surroundings, then back as the rangers regrouped
"next time will not be so easy rangers, and I will take you away, spark" he warned before disappearing.
"great, once again I'm being targeted by a bad guy" Stiles groaned, demorphing
"don't worry mate, we'll keep you safe" Xander said clapping him on the back as he and the others demorphed
"thanks for coming Nick. You arrived just in time!" Madison said
"Yeah. Not sure what happened, but I saw Korrag destroy you all and I couldn't let that happen, but I'm still not too sure about being a leader though" Nick said and turned to Stiles "you know, how you said you're friend Scott was learning how to be a leader and is constantly asking you for advice?" Nick asked Stiles who nodded "do you think you could help me?"
"sure!" Stiles grinned and they both shook hands and the others cheered
Later, Stiles found himself looking over the school material as he started Brair wood High in a few days as the others cleaned the store as it was opening soon
"dude, mind giving us a hand?" Stiles glanced up to see Xander carrying a box into the store, Nick looked up from the magazine he was reading
"I fight soulless mutants. I don't clean" Nick shrugged "if you need help, why not ask Stiles?"
"because," Vida said, dragging the 'e' "Toby wants Stiles to get ready for school, and if you're not going to help, then get out of the way"
"Alright," Nick said, "but as a wise old woman once asked...do you believe in magic?" Stiles rolled his eyes and turned back to the book list he had to read for English
"well, I believe," Madison said and grabbed her wand, she then waved it over the records on the floor and they quickly flew up and neatly placed themselves back on the shelf, Xander laughed and used magic to put the trash out, Chip used it to sweep the floor and Vida used it to stack CD's and rearrange the store.
"Quick, someone's coming!" Xander called and they quickly put away their wands just as Toby walked through the door
"hey, guys. It's almost time to open the store, so it better be..." Toby paused and glanced around the sore "oh. It's clean"
"Yeah," Vida said
Suddenly a customer entered the store, both Chip and Xander stepped forward as it was a pretty girl (but not as pretty as Lydia) to help her out, but Stiles frowned at the strange energy he was feeling coming off her. It was a bit similar to Korrag's, but...different. Stiles snapped out of his daze when his uncle placed a hand on his shoulder
"hey, Stiles. You excited for school?" Stiles looked over Tony's shoulder and saw Nick awkwardly helping out the customer, and turned to his uncle with a look "he answered the question right and now...he works here!" Toby threw his arms out and Stiles rolled his eyes "seriously though, are you ready for school? Cause I can get you another week to get ready if you need to"
"no, I'm fine. I'm ready" Stiles nodded his head and Toby smiled
"great! But uh...do you mind baking a few cookies or brownies? I heard from your dad that they're amazing and I'm not that great of a cook..."
Stiles rolled his eyes but could help but agree. His cookies and brownies were legendary in Beacon Hills (okay, just in the Police Department and the pack, but they made great bribing materials. Especially since he's away and needed to bribe the pack and deputies to make sure his dad eats healthy) "relax uncle Toby. I'll do all the cooking..."
"yes!"
"...but be prepared for lots of vegetable dishes and white meat. cause we're going healthy!" Toby groaned and Stiles laughed.
I changed the fight scene slightly and I think it's better I know I made the others really rash but they're new at this and got this surge of power and got overconfident. Nick is assuming he is the leader as Power Rangers are quite well known and people would have assumed that the Red ranger is usually the leader by now, if this doesn't make sense, please tell me and I will change it.
It strikes me strange that Stiles never seemed to have any self-defence knowledge in the show, despite his dad being the sheriff
Scott does eventually change his mind about killing people, he doesn't like it but understands that sometimes there isn't a choice, also he has accepted that he is a werewolf and there's nothing he can do to change that (it happened at the end of s2).
It always annoyed me how Nick completely dismisses magic after seeing the others fight with magic and see it happen in front of his eyes and then changing his mind, no one points this out as they don't care. Except for stiles.
Next time: Chip and Vida try to find the easy way out of learning magic, while the others are captured by Necrolai; the Dark Mistress of the Underworld
