Taiga, Ryuuji, Minori, Ami and Yusaku at in a dirty cell in silence. Hearing the cell door open, the five looked up to see someone holding a gun stepping into the cell and walked over to Taiga, "Time's up for you, girly," he aimed the gun at her and Taiga closed her eyes.
"Hey ugly bastard!" he grunted and looked back to see Ryuuji glaring at him, "You looked? What, did your mother name you ugly bastard?"
"Shut up, kid, this doesn't concern you,"
"You might want to look at your birth certificate to make sure it doesn't say ugly bastard,"
"I'm warning you kid!"
"And what are you going to go, ugly bas-" before he could finish, a loud gunshot filled the air and Ryuuji fell back with a force, his shoulder bleeding.
Everyone looked up as the man groaned, "Damn brat…and that was the only bullet I had," he walked out of the cell and closed the door before walking away.
The four looked at Ryuuji and Taiga asked, "Ryuuji? Are you okay?"
"I'll be fine…just a flesh wound, Taiga…I wasn't going to let that bastard kill you,"
Taiga frowned as she scooted closer to him and Yusaku sighed, "You're an idiot, Takasu…but you managed to save Aisaka tonight, so that's good,"
"You damn idiot," Taiga whispered and shook her head, "That was meant for me…why would you do that?"
"I'm not letting my fiancée get shot like that…I'll be fine," Taiga sighed as she laid her head on his uninured shoulder and the air between the five grew still as Ryuuji rubbed Taiga's back
