The Dino Charge Rangers and the Beast Morphers Rangers were all sitting around, impatiently waiting for the call from Evox. They knew that it was only a matter of time before he contacted them. He had a reanimiser, which meant he could now make all the tyrannodrones, putties and viviks he could want, but for other, stronger allies, he needed the DNA from something that they owned.

Since the Rangers had managed to seize the weapons from Ryjax's ship, they had managed to prevent him from getting all the raw materials he'd need to bring back some of the worst of the worst that had ever existed across multiple dimensions, but he did still have one ace up his sleeve. He still had Kendall.

"Matt, we're not just…trust me, we're doing everything we can!" Tyler said over his communicator as he relayed their current situation back to their home dimension. "Matt, we're going to get her back. We're not coming home without her, you can count on that."

He just nodded in understanding as he heard what Matt had to say.

"Yeah, whatever it takes." Tyler assured him. As he hung up, Chase just looked to him.

"Handling it well is he?" Chase asked.

"As well as anyone can expect him to." Tyler replied. He turned to Joanne. "Any word yet?"

"Not yet, unfortunately." She replied.

"I can't imagine it'll be long though." Devon added. "I mean, we already saw they brought Snide back. After that little road-test you know they can't wait to bring back more of the old rogue's gallery."

"Yes, Snide was a fiend indeed." Ivan said as he paced intently. "I recognise some of the weapons from that chest as belonging to the rest of his villainous entourage. If that is but a sample of what they could bring back…"

"We'll figure something out." Chase interrupted him. "But first thing's first, we need to get Kendall back to her family. After that, then we can worry about that chest."

Over in the Crystal Dimension, Kendall was standing, wincing in pain as Blaze wrapped up her hands in duct tape. Ordinarily it would only be inconvenient, but considering the fact her fingers were still broken, and Blaze was being none too gentle as he wound the tape around her hands, denying her the use of her fingers, she couldn't help but let out some pained gasps.

"Alright, now put your hands behind your back, cross your wrists." He instructed her. Kendall didn't have a choice other than to do as she was told. She let out an exasperated sigh and rolled her eyes.

"You know all this is pretty redundant, right?" She asked wearily. "Thanks to this collar, if you just tell me not to use my hands, I won't be able to."

"Yeah, but we know you can be tricky, so we're not taking any chances." Roxy replied, balling up a piece of cloth. "Besides…it's kind of fun, don't you think?"

"Not with you." Kendall stated. Both Blaze and Roxy just stared at each other, then back to Kendall.

"Open wide." Roxy told her. Kendall opened her mouth, allowing Roxy to stuff the rag inside, before closing her mouth again. Blaze placed the duct tape across her mouth, winding it around Kendall's head, before tearing it off. "There. Wrapped up, just like any good present should be."

They led Kendall back to the main area, ensuring that she stood right in front of the computer where she could be seen on the camera. Evox punched some keys, opening up a link to Grid Battleforce. After a few moments, the Command Centre appeared on the screen. They could see the assembled Rangers and Commander Shaw all waiting on their call.

"Greetings, Rangers." Evox began. "It's been too long since we had a little chat."

"That's debatable." Devon said sarcastically. Commander Shaw put a hand out to indicate to him to hold back.

"We've been expecting your call." Commander Shaw stated. "Since Dr Morgan is on screen, I assume you've called to negotiate her release."

He gestured Blaze and Roxy to bring her forward. They forced Kendall forwards, bringing her closer into view.

"She's been such a good guest; we're almost going to be sad to see her go." Blaze stated as he placed his hands on her shoulders.

"It's been fun, but all good things must come to an end." Roxy added, patting Kendall on the top of the head. Evox stepped back into view.

"The weapons from Ryjax's ship." He growled. "I know you have them!"

Commander Shaw gestured to Ravi, who brought the chest into view. He opened it, letting Evox see inside. He marvelled at the treasures within.

"Is this all of them?" He asked. "If you want your friend back…"

"We don't believe in trying to welch on a deal." Commander Shaw assured him. "This is everything that was recovered from the ship."

"Then bring them to these co-ordinates in one hour." He snapped, pointing directly at the screen. "No tricks, or you'll be getting your friend back in pieces!"

"You have our word." Commander Shaw sighed, before the communications link ended. The Rangers all gathered around.

"So, what do we do now?" Ravi asked. "You know they're going to try something."

"No doubt." Devon agreed. Tyler looked to Ivan, Koda and Chase, who all just nodded.

"Don't worry; we know how to keep a low profile." Tyler assured them. "If they try anything, we'll have your back."

"In that case, let's just load up these weapons." Zoey sighed as they closed the lid. "And hope for the best."

Elsewhere on the base, Blaze was sitting, watching Meghan work on Chaku. He was now under sedation as she worked on removing the implants it was safe to remove. Because most of his implants were augments to his abilities rather than replacements for his own body parts, quite a few of them could be removed without much fear of causing him harm.

Blaze felt a little uncomfortable watching her removing things from another person's body, but as in lieu of the session he was meant to be having with her, he figured this was as close as they were going to get today. She set aside a piece of...something...cradling it tenderly like a child.

"This tech is absolutely magnificent! Its decades, maybe even centuries beyond our own cybernetics!" She declared as she admired it. "I really hope this isn't proprietary technology of G4 Galaxy Police, some time to study and reverse engineer some of these would be amazing for my research!"

"You're...enjoying this, aren't you?" Blaze asked her. She just smiled.

"Who wouldn't?" She asked him. "I honestly don't know why he wants all this stuff out of him. Who wouldn't love to be stronger, or able to see further or...?

"He wanted to be returned to normal." Blaze reminded her.

"Yeah, but...he just wanted to LOOK normal!" She answered. "It might come in handy being a little faster or stronger or..."

"He's doing all this for his family, because he wants to get back to being the man his daughter remembers." Blaze continued. She just nodded.

"Well, yes, but again, what would be wrong with being a little...more?" She asked.

"You know, he looks to be in pretty good shape, I don't think he was exactly a slouch before he got these implants." Blaze pointed out.

"Well, I guess it does mean I'll possibly get a chance to play around with these." She said, gesturing to the implants she'd removed.

"Not to mention you get to help a man get back to his daughter and live a life he wants to live." Blaze reminded her. She just paused for a moment. She realised what he was getting at. She never meant to be this way, but it was difficult for her not to think of her own benefit in these situations. She looked to some of the items she had pulled from his spine.

"Well, I guess if I had time to look at this, it might give me ideas on how we could improve on the work we did on Joanne's spine." She offered, shifting a little uncomfortably as she waited to see if Blaze liked her answer. "You know...maybe if we can downsize her spinal unit enough we might be able to make it completely internal meaning she wouldn't have that bulky unit out on her back."

Blaze just smiled as he heard this, giving her an approving nod. As she went back to the table, he thought about something.

"You know, if you want to be stronger, you don't NEED cybernetics." He told her. "I mean, if you wanted to be stronger you could always work out. This place has a pretty great gym."

"I don't really know." She said, shaking her head.

"You did say you'd like to be stronger." He reminded her.

"Yeah, maybe, but doesn't all that take a long time?" She asked him. "And isn't it really hard work? I see what those cadets look like when they stumble out of their training sessions with Ravi."

"That's what makes it worthwhile! Nothing worth having comes easily." He said, gesturing to himself. "I wasn't born looking like this you know, and I sure as heck wasn't a multi-time World Karate Champion. All that took time and work, and because it did it feels like an accomplishment."

"Yeah, but if you could have gotten all that easier..."

"You have HEARD of steroids, right? HGH?" He asked her. "I've been offered that stuff a bunch of times in my life, but I never took it because I preferred to work for it."

"I'm not sure." She mused. "It really does all sound like it'll take a long time."

"You don't have spare time?" Blaze asked her. "And it's not like you're not used to taking time over things. I'm pretty sure you didn't learn how to do...you know...this...in a couple of weeks."

He gestured to Chaku, causing her to look. She looked back to him.

"I guess you have a point there." She replied. "I'll think about it."

She snapped her fingers.

"Which reminds me, I need to make a start on his brain implants..."

"AND that's my cue to leave!" Blaze said, holding up his hands. "It's one thing watching surgery, but poking around in a guy's brain...that's where I draw my line."

As he got up and left the room, she furrowed her brows.

"Who'd have thought a guy that's been taught how to break bones would be squeamish?" She pondered, before shrugging and continuing her work.

The Rangers arrived at the handover location, pulling into a warehouse that had been evacuated for the purpose. The owner had been none too pleased about having to stop all his work for the day early and send all his employees home, but he'd been assured by Grid Battleforce that they'd compensate him for the time, and that it was purely being done for the safety of his workforce.

Both the Dino Charge and Beast Morphers teams disembarked, heading towards Blaze, Roxy, Snide and Scrozzle, who were all waiting for them. Blaze held onto Kendall, who was bound and gagged. Devon and Ravi carried the crate.

"You're punctual. I always like that." Blaze said sarcastically. "I'm sure your friend here appreciates that."

"We'd never leave a friend in danger." Devon replied coldly. "Alright, we're here, now let her go."

"Not so fast." Scrozzle stated. "Show us the weapons."

Devon and Ravi reluctantly moved forward, putting the crate down, before opening the lid. Scrozzle made his way over, taking one of the weapons out of the crate, a large sword, and started swinging it around. He put it back, before pulling out a blaster, firing off a shot into the corner.

"It's all there." Devon assured him.

"We had to be sure." Roxy chimed in. "Wouldn't put it past you to try something cute."

"We actually keep our word when we give it." Zoey shot back. "I know it must be hard for someone like you to understand."

"Enough!" Blaze groaned. "Scrozzle, take the weapons and get out of here."

As Scrozzle teleported out with the crate of weapons, the Rangers couldn't help feeling a little deflated. They knew how dangerous giving Evox those weapons would be, and they'd considered trying to take the weapons back as soon as Kendall was safe, but as long as she was in danger, they couldn't risk it. As soon as he disappeared, Blaze shoved Kendall forward.

"It's been fun, but time to go, slave." He told her. "That's it; walk over to your friends."

Kendall walked towards the Rangers, being taken in by her team. Before they could be too happy about her return though, they heard a loud explosion. Their communicators went off.

"A Gigadrone just appeared." Joanne informed them. "It's going after the number 5 tower!"

They all glared at Blaze who just laughed.

"Come on, what did you expect?" He asked.

"We're bad guys! Get with the program!" Roxy added, before patting Snide on the shoulder. "Have fun! Toodles!"

With that, they disappeared, being replaced with a huge number of viviks, putties and tyrannodrones. Tyler looked to Devon.

"You guys get Kendall out of here and deal with the Gigadrone." He told them. "We'll deal with Snide!"

Zoey and Nate grabbed Kendall, escorting her from the building as the Beast Morphers Rangers went with them, leaving Tyler, Chase, Ivan and Koda to face off against Snide. The evil warrior drew his weapon.

"You're looking a little outnumbered!" Snide taunted them. Tyler just smiled.

"Count again!" He replied, lifting up his Dino Comm. "Riley, Shelby, NOW!"

A portal opened and Riley and Shelby leapt through, landing next to them. They took their place in the line-up.

"This guy again?" Shelby asked. "You'd think he'd have had enough when we dropped a museum on his head!"

"It's about to get wild!" Riley piped up, causing the others to look at him. "What? Tyler doesn't OWN that line!"

"It's Morphin' Time!" Chase called out. They all just stared at him. "You know, that is kind of fun."

Tyler just shook his head.

"You guys!" He chuckled as they all put their Dino Chargers into their morphers. "This is why I missed this! UNLEASH THE POWER!"

In Grid Battleforce headquarters, Betty went into Roxy's room, knocking on the door.

"Roxy?" She asked. "Hello?"

She heard some sounds coming from the bathroom and headed in, closing the door.

"Roxy?" She asked. She saw some documents on her bed, but before she could see what they were, Roxy raced in, pulling the covers over them.

"Betty, hi!" She rushed out. "What...what are you doing here?"

"You weren't in the mess hall, and I just thought you might..." She said, looking at Roxy. "Are you feeling alright?"

"Sorry?" Roxy asked her, taking some tablets and popping them in her mouth, washing them down with some water.

"It's just...you're looking a little pale and I could swear I just heard you puking." She answered.

"I'm fine." Roxy assured her.

"But you were just taking..."

"It's just a bug, I'm sure it'll pass." Roxy answered. "So, what's in the mess hall?"

"It's fish..."

"Oh God!" Roxy said, noticeably balking.

"Roxy..." Betty didn't get to finish though. She just ran into the bathroom and immediately began wretching. Betty got onto her communicator.

"Medical?" She asked. "This is Betty..."

"Damn it, what have you done to yourself now, Burke?" The medic interrupted her.

"Uh...nothing, it's not about me...this time." She replied. "I want to report..."

She didn't finish though; Roxy came back out, putting her hand over her communicator.

"Betty, really I'm fine." Roxy assured her. "I just...need to lie down for a little bit."

Betty looked to her, a little unconvinced, but reluctantly raised her communicator.

"It's fine, false alarm." Betty told him. "It looked worse than it was."

As she terminated the communication, she looked to Roxy sympathetically.

"Are you sure you're alright?" She asked her.

"Yeah, absolutely." Roxy answered. "I just really need to lie down for a little while."

"OK, well...if you need anything, don't hesitate to call." Betty answered, before leaving the room. Roxy just lay down on the bed, let out a long sigh and picked up a file, starting to read it.

Scrozzle, Blaze and Roxy got back to the Crystal Dimension with the weapons, where Evox was eagerly awaiting them. Scrozzle stood over the crate proudly.

"Master Evox, I've brought you this at great personal risk..."

"Great personal risk?" Roxy scoffed. "Dude, you barely did anything!"

"I was there with the Rangers..."

"We all were!" Blaze replied, shoving him away. Evox just let out a growl and his eyes started to glow in a menacing way, causing them to back off, before he started rummaging in the crate of weapons. He stopped on one, pulling out a huge blaster.

"These weapons are formidable!" Evox commented. "I can practically feel the evil of their wielders on them!"

"Looks like our staffing issues are over." Blaze said cheerfully. Scrozzle handed Evox the Reanimizer, at which he pointed it at the blaster, activating it. In a flash of light, a being appeared before them.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Sledge screamed, his hands in front of his face, before pulling them away. "Wait...what happened? The last thing I remember was that lunatic Skyfire tearing through my crew! I thought I was dead for sure."

"Oh, you were dead." Roxy told him. "Totally toast!"

"What?" He asked in confusion.

"You were dead, then we brought you back." Blaze said in a condescending manner like he was explaining the concept to a child. "You're welcome!"

"And speaking of your crew." Scrozzle stated, getting out some more weapons. In a flash of light, Poisandra, Curio, Fury and Wrench all appeared. They all looked completely disorientated, but as soon as she saw her husband, Poisandra let out a squeal of delight and rushed at Sledge, wrapping her arms around him.

"Sledgeums!" She squealed. "I thought I'd lost you! That dreadful Skyfire..."

"Apparently he did destroy us, but these people brought us back!" Sledge told her, pointing to the Evox's crew.

"Oh, well anyone that helps my Sledgeums is alright with me!" She giggled. Blaze looked nauseous and mouthed the word 'Sledgeums' to Roxy in disgust. She just held up a hand and shook her head.

"Well, now you're back, how would you like a shot at the Rangers?" Evox asked them. Sledge saw the Dino Charge Rangers fighting with Snide on his monitor.

"Them?" He asked. "Oh, that would be a pleasure! So much so, I won't even charge you!"

"Uh...we ALREADY brought you back to life?" Blaze reminded them sarcastically.

"You're welcome!" Roxy added.

"Come on, we have some Rangers to stomp!" Sledge stated, picking up his blaster. "But first..."

"Sledge, NO!" Wrench screamed as he levelled his blaster at him, opening fire and obliterating him completely. Blaze and Roxy just blinked, staring at the spot he had been standing.

"That's for taking that job with Cosmo Royale!" He chuckled. "Come on!"

With that, they all teleported out. Roxy just looked to Blaze.

"Oh, I like him!" She commented, heading to the crate. "Let's see who else we can bring back!"
