Robo Roxy teleported into the middle of Coral Harbour, causing a panic the second he arrived. People had seen her and Robo-Blaze in the city many times now, and people were well aware of who they were. It was a cruel twist that Scrozzle had chosen to base his new robot henchmen on Blaze and Roxy's scans from when the avatars were created. They had both now been unable to leave the base for their own safety for several months. It wasn't their fault, but looking exactly like the bad guys that had been laying waste to the city for over a year only meant that being seen around town would cause a panic at best, and at worst risk people trying to harm them out of some misguided attempt to help.

Robo Roxy smiled as she looked around, seeing the effect her arrival had on the people.

"That's it, run, run away little insects!" She giggled. "Run for your pathetic little lives! Call the Rangers, have them try and protect you."

She strode with confidence up to a monument in the middle of the city, dedicated to the Rangers, put in place by Mayor Daniels following his re-election. She gazed it up and down, running her hand over the bronze.

"Rangers...come out and play!" She said confidently, before producing one of her blasters and destroying the monument in a single, devastating blast. "Come face your extinction!"

In the Ranger base, the team were sitting around, trying to decompress and celebrate with Ravi and Roxy after their rather unexpected double-bombshell. They'd all kind of prepared themselves for Ravi's proposal, even being part of the preparations, but Roxy, true to form, had found a way to trump the situation.

"I can't believe you're pregnant!" Zoey said excitedly, hugging her friend. "How? I mean...OK, obviously we know HOW that happens, but...well...when? How did this...? I know you guys have been staying together, but I thought you'd be taking precautions and..."

"Yeah, it was unexpected." Roxy admitted. "I mean, we did talk about having a family, I always thought it was something we'd do, but you know, not for a while. I've been taking precautions, but...yeah, I guess that wasn't completely fool-proof."

"I can't believe you managed to keep this from us. You didn't even tell me!" Zoey responded, looking a little put out. Roxy hugged her.

"I was freaking out! I didn't have any of this planned, I was...I was just..." She looked rather sheepish. "I maybe wasn't taking the news particularly brilliantly myself. It's pretty huge."

"So, what do you think your family's going to say?" Devon asked her. She sighed.

"I'm sure they'll be supportive." She sighed. "I just...really wish I could tell them in person. The Commander always said I could communicate with them whenever I want, but I guess I was always hoping that when this day did come, it would be at a time we could all be together and enjoy the moment together. I'm...going to have to tell my mom and dad they're going to be grandparents and they won't even be able to hug me."

"Hey, hopefully it won't be that much longer." Devon told her. Just then, the alarm sounded. Devon activated the communicator.

"Devon here." He answered.

"Rangers, Roxy's just shown up in the middle of the city." Commander Shaw called over the link. "She's alone."

"Looks like you might get to have that conversation with your parents sooner than you thought." Ravi said, kissing her softly as he got up.

"I never thought I'd see the day I was so eager to see someone kick my ass." Roxy answered. "Give her Hell!"

With that, the Rangers all rushed out of the room, heading to the garage.

In another part of the base, Blaze was in the gym, lifting some weights on the bench press with Cole spotting him when Ben and Betty came in.

"Dude, seriously, you should probably take a break, you were down here before I was." Cole suggested as he guided the weights back to the cradle, letting Blaze sit up and start stretching out his muscles.

"Look, I appreciate the concern, but I've been working out in my private gym at home since I was 13." He pointed out. "And I had a personal training program."

"Blaze, your face is the same colour as Devon's suit." Betty pointed out. "If it wasn't for the fact, you're…you know…a super athlete, I'd be seriously considering calling a crash cart. You look like you're about to have a heart attack."

"How long have you been in here?" Ben asked.

"What time is it?" He asked in response. Cole checked his watch.

"A little after two." He stated.

"Oh…then about…?" He said, trying to do the maths. "Oh…about eight hours?"

"Dude, that is excessive by anyone's standards!" Ben said with a wince.

"Wait…weren't you meant to have a session with Meghan today?" Betty asked. They all noticed that he went quiet when she said that.

"Is there some problem with Meghan?" Ben asked. "Are your sessions not going well?"

"I guess you could say that." Blaze muttered.

"Maybe the Commander should have picked someone with some actual qualifications to oversee Meghan's case." Cole suggested. "I know she trusts Blaze and everything, but we all know she can be a bit…well…let's just say she kind of always made me a little…"

"Meghan is NOT the problem!" Blaze interrupted him sharply, getting up and rounding on them. All three recoiled as he looked at Cole angrily. He realised what it had to look like and backed down a little. "I mean…the problem's…it's not her fault. At least…"

"Wait, did something happen with Meghan?" Betty asked.

"Like what? You think she could threaten me?" Blaze asked. "Multi-time world Karate champion. Original choice for Red Ranger, I don't really think she's that much of a threat to me."

"She didn't seem like a threat to Zoey either." Betty recalled. "But we all saw where that ended up…"

"She didn't threaten me, the problem isn't her…at least…not how you think!" Blaze told them. "She…she kissed me."

"She did what?" Ben shrieked. "DUDE! We need to tell the Commander; she was probably trying to…"

"Why does EVERYONE always assume the worst of her?" Blaze roared. "I wasn't the greatest of people and you all gave me a second chance. I did a ton of terrible things, even when I didn't have the excuse of being an Avatar, and you all forgave me, but so many of you still jump to assume the worst about Meghan, like when that collar went missing. The problem isn't always her."

"So, the problem, is you?" Ben asked. The fact Blaze went quiet quickly caught them up.

"Blaze, is the problem that you…you like her?" Cole asked. Blaze just sighed.

"I don't know." Blaze replied. "I mean, I think I understand her. I don't claim to get completely what it's like for her with her…you know…but I do know what it's like to have done terrible things and have people assume the worst of you afterwards."

"So, you think you like her?" Betty asked.

"I don't know." Blaze replied. "Maybe. I don't know, but I just don't know if…I mean…it feels pretty wrong. I mean, I'm her parole officer, kind of. I mean, it's a position of trust and authority, isn't that kind of sketchy?"

"Only if you actually do have feelings for her." Ben pointed out. Blaze just shook his head.

"I mean, I've spent a lot of time with her, and she's…she's kind of cool." He admitted. "She's weird and confusing…but I think I get her. A lot of what she's been through has been down to people shoving her away because they didn't know how to deal with her, or understand her and I guess I kind of know where she's coming from with that."

He looked to them all and then started to gather his gear.

"Guys, can you not tell anyone about this?" He asked. "I think I need to figure this out."

"Blaze, maybe it'd be easier for you to figure out if you talked it through with someone." Ben admitted. "I mean, I'm still not sure what to do about this visit from dad."

"Your dad's visiting?" Cole asked, looking to Ben. "Why would that be a problem?"

"Apparently he's heard that I'm…seeing someone." Ben told him. "And he wants to meet them."

Cole just ran a hand across his face.

"Ben, I know this is difficult. I went through the same thing." Cole reminded him. "A fair bit earlier than you did, but I went through the same thing."

"Cole, it's not you…"

"Ben, I understand. I told you from the beginning that I'm willing to be patient, to give you the time you need." He explained. He took Ben's hand. "I know you haven't told your dad about yourself, yet. That's a pretty big step as it is, introducing the boyfriend into the bargain is kind of a big bomb to expect anyone to drop."

"My dad…he loves us, I know he does, but it's not like me and Betty are exactly setting the Burke military tradition on fire." Ben explained. "I knew I was going to have to tell him at some point, but I don't want him to…"

"Ben, your dad is insanely proud of you and Betty." Blaze assured him. "I might not have been the nicest about it back in the day…hell, a lot of people weren't. But none of us could deny the way your dad lit up around you both any time he was on the base. If I'm honest, a lot of the reason I gave you both such a hard time was because I wished my own dad could have felt that way about me."

"Well, this workout isn't happening, is it?" Betty asked. "Everyone want to get some coffee and go talk?"

"Coffee…sounds good." Blaze said with a nod. "I'll just hit the shower first."

"I should probably do that too." Cole said, kissing Ben on the cheek. "We'll meet in my room in ten?"

"We'll get the coffee." Ben replied as Ben and Betty headed out while Blaze and Cole headed for the showers.

The Rangers arrived in the middle of the city, finding Roxy waiting for them. She hadn't morphed yet, but was just enjoying tormenting the citizens of Coral Harbour. When they got there, confronting her, Roxy just turned to them and smirked.

"Rangers, so glad you got my invitation." She greeted them.

"No back up?" Devon asked. "I don't like this, be ready for an ambush."

"An ambush?" She chuckled. "Oh, trust me, I don't need any help to bring all of you down."

"Because your track record has been so great up until now." Ravi taunted her. "Come on guys, let's finish this. It'll be a great engagement present to the real Roxy to be able to leave the base and see her folks."

"Oh, you got engaged! Congratulations!" Roxy taunted him. "Unfortunately, you won't live long enough for me to make my other self a widow! You see, I just recently gave myself a little upgrade."

She pulled out her Morph-X Key, slamming it into her morpher. Before their eyes, she morphed into a brand-new form, armoured like her old form, but adorned with spikes, and feather-like blades that looked a lot like wings. She grew at least a few inches, and her body positively radiated power. They all stared at her.

"That is…new." Devon commented.

"Well, not exactly new, more like old." She stated. "About 65 million years or so."

"Nate?" Zoey asked nervously. He just gulped.

"Guys, I think she must have infused herself with dinosaur DNA from the Dino Charge Rangers' dimension." He surmised.

"Good guess, brainiac." She responded. "Time to make you all extinct!"

"We'll see about that!" Devon answered. "It's Morphin' Time!"

Back at the base, Meghan was out the back of the base, trying to throw a basketball into the hoop. She swore loudly as it missed the rim, rattling off the backboard yet again.

She didn't really care too much about sports, but since Blaze had petitioned the Commander to have her tracking tag removed, she now had a little more freedom, allowing her to actually leave the building. She wasn't allowed outside the fences, but since she had barely been allowed outdoors now since she had been arrested, she had started to make the most of it. Eating her lunch in the yard, taking breaks on the lawn, and yes, now after seeing the basketball rim so many times, she was even willing to give that a try, just to be outside.

"Stupid game." Meghan muttered. "Come on, Meghan, it's just physics, how can this be so hard?"

"It's a little difficult when you're not a machine." She heard Blaze's voice behind her say. She turned around to see him. "It's not like your arm's a cannon that only has one setting. You need to get a feel for the throw."

"Blaze, I…I was just…" She stammered. "When you missed our session, our last…three sessions actually, I wasn't sure you wanted to see me."

"Yeah, sorry I flaked like that." Blaze told her. She looked to the basketball as he took it from her, throwing it in a perfect art that hit nothing but net. She looked to him curiously.

"I thought you weren't meant to be outside." She commented. He just sucked his teeth.

"Yeah, you're not the only one who goes a little stir crazy being indoors." Blaze admitted. "I occasionally come out for a bit of fresh air when no one's looking."

"Blaze, about what happened, about what I did…" She started to say nervously. "Um…I'm sorry if I made you feel…?"

"You know what? Maybe we could talk inside, somewhere you'd be a little more comfortable." He suggested. "Like, in the lab? The Rangers went out to face Roxy, so we shouldn't be interrupted for ages."

"I guess we could do that." She replied, gesturing to the door. Blaze just smiled.

"You know, it's a little embarrassing, but when I got outside, I realised I forgot my keycard." Blaze told her. "Would you mind?"

"Sure thing." She responded, heading to the door and scanning her keycard, letting them inside. Blaze smiled as he gestured down the hall.

"Lead the way." He told her.

Back at the site of the battle, the Rangers were under pressure from Roxy from the word go. The Dinosaur DNA added to her powers had greatly enhanced her powers, making her far more powerful than any of the Robotrons they had faced up until now.

"Beast-X Mode!" Devon called out as he, Zoey and Ravi powered up into their armour. "Come on guys, we need to take her down before the whole city is dust!"

"You've been impersonating the woman I love too long already!" Ravi yelled as he rushed Roxy, his gauntlet appearing around his fist. He swung wildly, with Roxy dodging each of his massive swings, until she lashed out with a wing, smashing him into a wall.

"Sorry, Little Boy Blue." She taunted him. "But Dinosaurs were the apex predators long before primates showed up! You never took the world from us, you inherited what was left from the ashes of a destroyed world!"

"You know why the dinosaurs went extinct?" Zoey yelled. "Because they couldn't adapt! Jackrabbit Spin Strike!"

She launched a corkscrew attack at Roxy, which she blocked, holding Zoey in place, before swinging her around and launching her into Ravi. Devon powered up his attack.

He launched into his dash attack, which Roxy blocked, stopping him stone dead in his tracks. He stared at her in horror. She didn't even try and get out the way, she knew she didn't need to. Such was her power that even Devon's most powerful attack had little effect.

She punted him backwards, leaving him sprawled on the ground. Nate looked to Steel.

"Steel, I know you don't like the idea, but…I think it's time for that thing I've been working on." Nate told him.

"Nate, I don't…"

"Steel, she's shrugging off everything we throw at her." Nate pointed out. "We have to try."

"Nate, if you've got something in mind, now would be a great time!" Devon yelled. Nate just looked to Steel, who nodded.

"OK, let's do it." Steel replied. "Guys, buy us a couple of minutes."

"You've got it!" Zoey answered as the others assembled, beginning to attack Roxy to keep her busy. Nate took a deep breath.

"Beast-X Battlizer Mode!" They chorused together. Steel started to fragment, forming into sections of armour which moulded around Nate's body. Gold and silver armour formed up around him, giving him a chest plate, greaves and gauntlets. The right gauntlet sprouted a scarab like claw, while the left formed a mantis claw that arced downward from the gauntlet. He checked his heads' up display.

"The power…it's more than I anticipated. We might only have a minute or so before we risk burning up."

"Then we better make this quick." Steel responded.

"Guys, hold her steady!" Nate beckoned them. They all turned to look at Nate.

"Wait…what the Hell is that?" Ravi asked.

"I'll explain later!" Nate replied. "Keep her in place!"

Nate and Steel powered up, accessing the combined power of two sets of animal DNA, two Ranger powers and two Rangers all in one. Roxy was surrounded by the others, cutting off anywhere for her to dodge, at which Nate surged forward.

His weapons glowing brightly, he scythed through her in two massive swings, energy waves slicing straight through her. Roxy fell to her knees, sparking as Nate got to the other side. He and Steel separated, collapsing to the ground.

"Dude, that was awesome!" Ravi complimented him. "Why didn't you tell us…?"

"Because I haven't figured out all the kinks." Nate admitted. "Like…how to harness that much power in a single form without almost killing both of us."

They all heard ominous laughter from behind them as Roxy started to get back up.

"You threw everything you had at me, and it still wasn't enough!" She responded. "Now, it's time to bring this whole city down around you!"

She started to grow into massive size. They all gazed upwards.

"That…that's new." Ravi commented.

"Looks like we'll really need everything this time." Devon stated. "Joanne, send everything we've got, and I do mean EVERYTHING!"

Back in the Ranger base, in the lab, Meghan and Blaze arrived in the lab, at which she closed the door. She looked to him uneasily.

"Blaze, I'm really sorry." She began. "I know I've screwed up…"

"You haven't done anything wrong." Blaze assured her.

"Blaze, if what I did made you uncomfortable, then I did." She replied. "Whatever we had, if what I did ruined that, I don't know what I'd do."

"You haven't ruined anything." Blaze assured her, coming up close to her. "In fact, you just did exactly what I wanted you to."

"I did?" She asked, looking into his eyes. He just smiled and nodded.

"Of course." He replied. "I'd never have gotten in without you."

"I'm sure someone would have come along eventually and…" She started to say, before she heard her communicator bleep.

"Meghan?" She heard Blaze's voice ask. "Meghan, I…I'm sorry I missed our last couple of sessions. I really think we should talk."

Meghan looked to the Blaze before her in horror. Before she could react, he lunged forward, grabbing her wrist and ripping her communicator off, crushing it in his grasp.

"Like I said, thanks for getting me in." He stated as he hit her hard across the face, knocking her out cold.

He went to one of the consoles and inserted a USB stick, uploading a program, before pulling it out and putting it away.

"Blaze, did you, do it?" Scrozzle asked over his communicator. Blaze just smiled.

"Mission accomplished." He stated, turning to look at Meghan on the floor. "I just have a loose end to tie up."
